About Hillary Clinton
NORPAC welcomes Secretary Hillary Clinton (D) to a Midtown Manhattan cocktail event hosted by David & Shiffy Lichtenstein on Thursday, January 14th.Hillary Clinton has been a supporter of the US-Israel relationship for many years. As a U.S. Senator for the State of New York, she successfully campaigned for the International Red Cross to admit Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA). She supported efforts to condemn Hamas for terrorist activity against Israelis and to release Israeli prisoners, and was an early supporter of Israel's right to build a security barrier. She cosponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act in 2006 to block foreign assistance to Hamas. As Secretary of State, Clinton stood up against Israel's enemies and further strengthened ties with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Under her watch, some of the harshest sanctions were imposed upon Iran. After her retirement as Secretary, she spoke out during the 2014 Gaza conflict about Israel's right to defend itself, and the use of human shields and barbaric tactics used by Hamas to demonize the State of Israel. During the summer of 2015, Clinton denounced the boycott movement against Israel. This will be one of Secretary Clinton's only NYC visits in January and February. Please join us in support of Secretary Hillary Clinton for President and share your concerns about the US-Israel relationship with her at this pro-Israel event.
