Fwd: Re: Duma Sergey Kadinsky responds to Chava Shulman's Letter to QJL: Take responsibility for what you publish: not everything is sensationalism!

My comments:

This letter shows what an Achrayus publications such as AMI, Mishpacha and Hamodia has to make sure their news is accurate and not biased.

The Condemnation of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the Rabbinical Council of America as well as any leading Poskim must be retracted. There has been no convictions because of failure to find any evidence of violent vigilante behavior on the part of the Hilltop Youth.

The behavior at the wedding must be investigated before portraying  Hill Top Youth as Jewish terrorists who want to stab innocent Arabs.

G-d hears their prayers because they are Emet, true,  and sincere.  Karov Hashem Lechol Korav, Lechol asher Yikrauhu Be"emet.  G-d is near to those who call out to Him truthfully.

Good morning,

Thank you for your feedback. Perhaps the headline was a bit sensational but when you look at the covers of Ami, Mishpacha, Hamodia, etc. they also use eye-catching headlines to catch their readers' eyes. Our newspaper is not any less frum than these two publications.

Furthermore, the condemnation against vigilante behavior includes not only the chief rabbinate of Israel and the Rabbinical Council of America, but also leading poskim in Israel including HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman, who declared that "the path of violence and revenge are not our ways and anyone who does such things threatens the lives of the Jewish people." Furthermore, the Shas spiritual leader, Rabbi Shalom Cohen has stated that "a person whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents is liable to the law of rodef."

Our newspaper holds by the concept of Daas Torah, all of our articles are approved by our Rabbinical Consultant, Rabbi Yoel Schonfeld, and we strive to be on the same page as the leading poskim of our time.

Finally, on the subject of torture. We can certainly follow up on this story as it develops. Torture of individuals awaiting trial is obviously a stain on the otherwise good reputation of the Israeli justice system. However, our article dealt with the offensive behavior at the wedding. Whether the arrested were tortured or not, it does not excuse their behavior at the wedding.

Again, thank you for writing to us. Your feedback helps us prove our product.

Good Shabbos,

Sergey Kadinsky
