Robin,

My thanks to FOX News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett for appearing with me on "Huckabee" on TBN this past weekend. In his bestselling book "THE RUSSIA HOAX: The Illicit Scheme To Clear Hillary Clinton And Frame Donald Trump" and in personal interviews, he has an almost startlingly clear way of pointing out what's going on with Lady Justice's blindfold these days, as President Trump stands accused of so-called "crimes" that are actually non-crimes and President wannabe Hillary Clinton is excused for "non-crimes" that are actually crimes. There has never been anything like this in my lifetime.

I'll tell you who needs to read the book most of all: anyone who provides commentary on CNN, MSNBC or any one of numerous other news outlets that used to be worthy of at least a little respect. They should be ashamed of themselves for committing journalistic fraud in their so-called coverage of these investigations.

On Sunday with Maria Bartiromo, Jarrett expounded on one of the main reasons justice got turned on its head: the odd job performance of Attorney General Jeff Sessions ever since his first day at the DOJ. It started before then, actually, because it's still a mystery why he took the job in the first place when he decided on DAY ONE that he would recuse himself. I doubt that many of us were aware of this, but according to Jarrett, Sessions "told the Senate Intelligence Committee that he began his recusal his first day in office." Sessions betrayed the President from the outset, Jarrett said, because he concealed the fact that he was going to recuse himself from all things related to Russia and the campaign. (I would add that the President failed to anticipate the potential problem with appointing someone who'd been involved with the campaign, but even so, Sessions should have brought it up with him before taking the job.)

ICYMI: The gender-neutral party

By Mike Huckabee

At their summer meeting in Chicago, the Democratic National Committee passed a rule requiring "gender-neutral" language and for all committees to have equal numbers of men and women.  Personally, I am OUTRAGED to hear that these so-called enlightened liberals think gender is "binary!" Do they not realize that there are, at current count, at least 57 genders, all of which much be represented equally?  That means each DNC committee must consist of at least 57 persons or self-identifying non-persons.  And if any committee has two heterosexual males or females, then the committee membership must be doubled to 114, to insure equal representation for all genders.

Remember: before you vote for Democrats in November, this is the kind of politicized micro-management they want to impose on the government and society at large.  That's why, if you think of our economy as a fast-accelerating train, you should think of pulling the lever for Democrats as being the equivalent of pulling the brake cord.

Remembering John McCain

By Mike Huckabee

As you surely know from the weekend filled with tributes, Sen. John McCain passed away Saturday night at 81, just one day after his family announced that he had stopped receiving treatments for brain cancer.

Since we ran against each other in the 2008 GOP Presidential primary, and I campaigned for and with him after he won the nomination, media outlets asked me for my thoughts and memories.  Of course, he was a courageous warrior who sacrificed much for his country. But he was also a throwback to a time when people could be political opponents and disagree sharply on issues, but still not be enemies. He beat me fair and square, and then we joined forces and never once had a cross word.  He was an incredibly gracious and grateful person, and he put what he believed to be what was best for America above all else.

I spoke about my experiences with Sen. McCain with Fox News, and this link will take you to that video.  I also want to express my deepest sympathy and prayers to his wife Cindy, his daughter Meghan and all the rest of his family and friends.

Forgetting history

By Mike Huckabee

The latest desperate attempt from Democrats to prevent Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court is to claim that judicial nominees should not be confirmed as long as the President is under investigation.  Two problems with that:

1.  As we now know, Donald Trump has been "under investigation" continuously since before he was even elected, in an undefined, unlimited, based-on-phony-evidence probe that will apparently keep going unto infinity, peeking under every rock and pebble to find a crime, any crime, to justify the investigation. By that standard, no President would ever be able to do anything, which I'm sure was the point, but it has no Constitutional basis.

2.  The Democrats seem to forget that the Senate confirmed two of Bill Clinton's SCOTUS picks while he was under investigation for actual crimes and under subpoena.  Even though Republicans disagreed with the liberal views of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Steven Breyer, both votes were hugely lopsided: 96-3 and 87-9, respectively.  Senate Republicans respected that Presidents have the power to nominate Justices and that elections have consequences.  Unfortunately, for most of today's Democrats, the only consequences the last election held were that it cost them their sanity.

The Second Fleet returns

By Mike Huckabee

I've started to lose count of all the ways that President Trump has stood up to Russia (it's hard to think of them all with Democrats, pundits and celebrities constantly screaming "Russian collusion!" and "Putin puppet!" in our ears), but I'd say this might be the strongest smackdown of all: Trump has reactivated the Navy's Second Fleet.  It was established after World War II to keep Moscow in check and deactivated by President Barack ("Reset button/more flexibility after my reelection/here, take 20% of our uranium") Obama.

After its deactivation, Russia turned more aggressive, invading eastern Ukraine and ramping up its naval activity in the Arctic and north Atlantic. The Trump Administration is not only reactivating the Second Fleet, but click this link to read the incredible resume of the man named to command it, Vice Adm. Andrew "Woody" Lewis, and what he has to say about its mission. It looks as if the days of allowing our military to be directed by poll-taking desk jockeys and liberal academics who've never seen battle are thankfully over.

Excellent article

By Mike Huckabee

Excellent article about last week's media mental derailment over the Manafort and Cohen stories spelling the end at last for that wascally wabbit Trump, and how it proves they never really cared about Russian collusion, they're just looking for anything, no matter how trivial or peripheral, to tar Trump.  When I saw the tweets from liberal celebrities demanding Trump's impeachment following the Manafort verdict, in which he was convicted on eight counts of tax-related infractions that even one juror admitted should have been handled with a simple tax audit, I wanted to ask them this question:

"If someone who briefly worked for you were convicted of an unrelated crime that took place years before you knew him, should you be fired from your TV series/record contract/Broadway show?"

Since show business is one of the few industries with even sleazier hangers-on than politics, I have a feeling that would eliminate an awful lot of entertainment.

It's not Birthright that's in need of repair, it's American Judaism

By Stephen M. FlatowAugust 22, 2018, 11:56 am

A group of Birthright participants pose during their trip to Israel. Wikimedia Commons

In recent days and weeks, much ink has been used and many electrons have been generated to bemoan the status of Taglit-Birthright Israel trips. The current kerfuffle is the result of the walkout from their Birthright trip of students affiliated with the group IfNotNow (a horrible play on the wise words of the rabbinical sage Hillel) who are opposed to the "occupation." They left their group early to meet with Palestinians because Birthright doesn't offer a better explanation or allow a discussion of the "Palestinian narrative."

Concerned about the return of Jewish college students to their campuses, Martin Raffel wonders if participants in Birthright trips to Israel will be prepared to confront Israel's detractors ("What's the story with Birthright?" Aug. 16). While disagreeing with the methods employed by the IfNotNow students, Raffel believes they make a good point. I do not.

Conceived as a program to provide young Jewish adults the gift of an educational trip to Israel, Birthright has come under attack because it doesn't "equip young Jews with a nuanced understanding of the complex Israel-Palestine conflict," Raffel writes of his conversation with Rachel Zaurov of Cliffside Park, a member of the Israel Policy Forum. But Birthright trips are designed to introduce young adults to Israel as the home of the Jewish people, to instill a sense of pride in being part of the Jewish people, and to increase awareness of who they are in the mosaic of Jewish life. It was not designed to, in a period of 10 days, give an understanding of the "complex Israel-Palestine conflict," which is something Israelis and those who care about Israel have been trying to comprehend for 70 years.

Reading all of the hand-wringing commentaries, you may be tempted to think that Birthright Israel is broken. It's not. To the contrary, it is our American brand of Judaism that is broken. My baby boomer generation has sadly produced a generation of young Jewish adults (not your children, of course) who believe that all of Judaism can be summed up in "tikkun olam," a phrase not found in traditional texts, and the idea that to be Jewish, all you have to do is be a nice person.

We have raised a generation of young adults and college-aged students who may, and I do mean "may," know there are holidays called Purim and Chanukah, but they don't know why there is a Purim or why there is a Chanukah. They have been raised not in the joys of Yiddishkeit — a meaningful Shabbat, celebrating the chagim, etc. — but in the oys of Yiddishkeit — dietary and work restrictions that "are not for us but for the folks who live in Lakewood."

We have raised a generation of young adults who, along with their parents, left the synagogue immediately after their bar or bat mitzvahs. We have excused the intermarriage of our offspring on the basis of "as long as he's happy." Their generation is giving us children named Jennifer Cohen, who is not halachically Jewish, and Jennifer Napolitano, who is. Why are we surprised when our kishkes are tied into a knot when we are asked, "Who do you want to invite to the baptism?"

When it comes to the modern State of Israel, we have raised a generation that doesn't know what led to the Balfour Declaration, of the whereabouts of the blue and white pushka (charity box) in our grandmothers' kitchens, and the distinctions between the political philosophies of David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin (assuming they even know who these men were).

As for Birthright teaching about the so-called "Palestinian narrative," a phrase I hate almost as much as the phrase "tikkun olam," let me tell you what that narrative is:

"Our lands were taken from us by Jews sent to Palestine because of the murders committed in Europe. The Jews have no ties to the country. No such thing as a Jewish Temple ever existed on the Haram al-Sharif. Every inch of Palestine is ours." And "it is desirable to die while killing Jews."

Don't believe me? For starters, look at the coat of arms of Fatah, the largest political party in the PLO and whose leader, Mahmoud Abbas, is in the 13th year of his four-year term as president of the Palestinian Authority. Crossed in front of a green representation of Israel are two automatic rifles and a grenade. Below it is the slogan, al-`Asifa ("the Storm"), a reference to Fatah's armed wing. The message is clear: Liberate the stolen homeland. Want more? Visit the Palestinian Media Watch website to read and see what the Palestinians teach their children.

As for the 600-700,000 original Palestinian "refugees" whose descendants live in squalor in camps set up in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan in 1947-1948, why did they refuse to return to their homes in the West Bank, or settle themselves there, between 1948 and 1967? Why were they not accepted into the societies in which they found themselves? Why are there refugee camps in the cities of Nablus and Jenin, both under the control of the Palestinian Authority for the past 20 years? It's for the simple reason that Palestinian society worldwide, abetted by the United Nations, thrives on victimhood; it's reinforced by all who refuse to accept the fact that 98 percent of the Palestinian population in the West Bank lives under the rule of the Palestinian Authority.

But there's no mention of the same number of Jews from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen, who were booted out of their countries after a presence of 2,000 years. They are Jews who have been accepted and integrated, admittedly with many bumps along the way, into the State of Israel. That would not fit the Palestinian narrative, would it?

As for Israel's Arab citizens, I don't have to defend the rights they enjoy in Israel. While the country has now faced up to the fact that Arab communities do not necessarily share equally with Jewish communities in government and municipal programs, it's being addressed. But how do you explain the recent rallies in Tel Aviv where Israeli Arabs protesting the nation-state law carried Palestinian flags?

From my perspective, Birthright Israel has been an overwhelming success. It has given thousands of young Jewish adults their first real look at Israel. Like all educational programs, it continually fine tunes its objectives, but it's not broken. It has never been Birthright's responsibility to give college-aged students and young adults the tools they need when they encounter Jew-hatred on campus and in society. We are their parents and it is first and foremost our responsibility to begin to do so when our children began to walk and talk by giving them a Jewish education, to show them the joys of Yiddishkeit. We have failed to date, but it's never too late to turn back the tide of ignorance.

US Jewry's silence as Trump prepares to squeeze Israel

American Jews must stop biting their tongues and hoping those troubling statements are not indicative of actual U.S. policy.

Att'y Stephen M. Flatow (צילום:)

The writer, a New Jersey attorney, is vice president of the Religious Zionists of America and the father of Alisa Flatow, who was murdered by Palestinian terrorists in 1995 on a study trip to Israel when the bus she was on exploded on her way to the beach in Gush Katif. When Alisa succumbed to fatal head wounds at Soroka Medical Center, the family donated her organs to save the lives of others.

The American Jewish community should be up in arms over President Trump's declaration that Israel now has to pay a "high price" because it's the Palestinians' "turn" to "get something very good," following the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem earlier this year.

Trump's disturbing remark, made in a speech in West Virginia on Tuesday, followed several previous hints along the same lines. In a tweet on January 2, 2018, he wrote: "We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more."

Similarly, Trump told reporters in Davos on January 25: "I helped it because by taking it off the table—that was the toughest issue—and Israel will pay for that. You won one point and you'll give up some points later on in negotiations if it ever takes place."

But President Trump's latest statement is the most troubling articulation of the president's mindset regarding Israel and the Palestinian Authority. He now has made it clear that he does not really grasp the nature of the Palestinian war against Israel, and does not understand that the Palestinian leadership is irrevocably committed to terrorism and hatred.

Instead, Mr. Trump views the entire Israeli-Palestinian situation as a matter for horse-trading. Israel "got" something in the embassy move, so now it's the Palestinians' "turn" to get something. Not because the Palestinians made some concession. Not because their behavior demonstrates they are moderate and peaceful and trustworthy. No, simply because it's all a matter of "taking turns."

No matter how much the PA incites violence, no matter how many terrorists its harbors, no matter how many Hamas weapons factories flourish under PA rule—still, it's their "turn" to "get something."

And not just any old "something"—it's going to be "something very good." Meaning, in all likelihood, that the concession Trump has in mind won't be just symbolic, like the kind Israel "got." Rather, it will be something concrete and probably irreversible. Because that's how it always goes—Israel's gains are almost always symbolic, while the Palestinians almost always receive concrete concessions such as Jewish construction being halted or terrorists being set free.

During the past year, pro-Israel organizations have focused on the Trump administration's pro-Israel gestures, while looking the other way when he took steps to the contrary.

We all cheered Niki Haley's great speeches at the United Nations,  the US withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Commission, and of course the moving of the embassy.

But there was no hue and cry from Jewish organizations when the Trump administration pressured Israel to remove metal detectors from the Temple Mount following the murder of two Israeli police officers.

There were no protest rallies when Trump publicly pressured Israel to halt Jewish construction in the territories, declaring at his press conference with Prime Minister Netanyahu on February 15, 2017, that "I would like you to hold back on settlements for a little bit"—as if Jews living in their historical homeland are somehow an obstacle to peace.

No Jewish leaders were marching in the streets when President Trump told Israel Hayom on Feb. 9, 2017  that "the settlements are something that very much complicates and always have complicated making peace, so I think Israel has to be very careful with the settlements."

I didn't hear any Jewish organizations shouting when U.S. officials said of Trump's forthcoming Mideast peace plan that "both sides are going to love some of it, and hate some of it" and "the plan won't be loved by either side, and it won't be hated by either side" — thus treating democratic Israel and the terrorist PA as if they are morally equivalent.

American Jews bit their tongues and hoped those statements and actions were not indicative of actual U.S. policy. But now we know better. Trump's demand that Israel pay a "high price" and his promise to give the PA "something very good" should be a game changer.

Jewish leaders need to speak out, loudly and clearly and repeatedly. They need to make it clear to the president and his team that Israel has spent 70 years paying high prices—surrendering land, releasing terrorists, freezing construction—and has received no peace in return.

The time for squeezing Israel, and making concessions to the Palestinians, is over.

Observation: Quid pro Quo pattern. Proportionately related. Israel Sovereignty and Trump Presidency.

Bsd

The announcement that Israel will be paying High Price for the Embassy move, was accompanied with Manafort conviction and an announcement of Cohen's soon to be confessions.

U.S. President Donald Trump hinted that his long-awaited Mideast peace plan would contain "the deal of the century." He also suggested that it was now "the Palestinian's turn" to be the recipients of American favor – following the U.S. Embassy move to Jerusalem.
On the other hand the 95 year old Nazi's deportation was certainly a good development for Trump.  It certainly got all those who claims he is sympathizing with the KKK off his back and a good guy like Hikind to  bash the Democrat's bashing of Trump. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by all the negative press Trump was getting from Manafort verdict and Cohen confessions.

The force of the opposition against Trump is frightening and all encompassing.

Cohen's Plea Deal Is Prosecutor's Attempt To Set Up Trump
By Geller Report Staff - on August 23, 2018

I've noticed a trend.. that the Almighty G-d helps Trump each time Trump helps Israel, G- d repays him in kind and the opposition weakens or goes on the defensive.

Perhaps it's because Trump's enemies are in a War Against G-d and will stop at nothing to fight G-dliness.

It works the other way as well. If Trump or any of his top level advisors undermines Israel's Sovereignty G-d in turn undermines Trump's Presidency.

Trump is a fearless leader who is cleaning out the infested cabinet of worms and moths and they have no hiding place anymore. So they have been forced out in the open and are desperate, fighting for their lives. (Once my pantry got infested with moths from an infected rice bag and during the cleaning process of the pantry the moths were all over the kitchen until they eventually disappeared. It seemed temporarily like the infestation got worse. It didn't. They just all came out of the woodwork once we started to do a thorough cleaning.)

It's  Michael Flynn, Popodopoulus, Manafort, Cohen, Jones etc and now even Donald Jr., anyone that they can prosecute to get them to testify to bring down Trump.  These targets are unfortunate political pawns caught up in legal battles disproportionate to any crimes they may have committed because of their association with Trump.  It's more than just a sad situation..Financially they are being wiped out with legal fees etc and face imprisonment, some long term, even life term . . Everyone feels threatened by the Mueller investigation, even jurors probably, if they don't produce the end product which is testimony to  bring down Trump.  The Mueller prosecution is relentless. Not unlike the prosecution against Hilltop Youth Elisha Odess who is also a political pawn targeted by those vehemently  opposed to Jews settling Judea and Samaria and will stop at nothing.

Elisha was willing to confess to about anything to stop the emotional and physical torture.

Who among us is so brave to be the sacrificial lamb? (For that you need someone like Isaac, Abraham's son).

Allow me to suggest a strategy that might help President  Trump fight the relentless Mueller Witch Hunt since it puts G-d back into the arena to fight the battle.

Take a Stand on Jewish Settlement in Judea and Samaria especially validate the Biblical Stand of the Hilltop Youth and focus on freeing Elisha Odess and other hilltop youth from incarceration and  house arrest since there is no real evidence to speak of.

These kids represent something much larger than themselves.

The entire Land belongs to G-d.  Noone, not even  the President of the USA or the Prime Minister of Israel has the authority to give away Land that is not his to negotiate.  That should be a fundamental axiom,  in the Art of the Deal.  One can only negotiate away that which is his or hers.

The Land of Israel is the Eternal Heritage  of the Jewish people.  The boundaries are clearly delineated in the Bible and Judea and Samaria is an integral part of the Biblical Homeland.   In the end of days the boundaries will extend to the Euphrates. Just like Jerusalem is off the negotiation table, so to Judea and Samaria must be off the negotiating table.

The Hilltop Youth of Judea and Samaria are the Lion King's children. If you want to see the Land at Peace and Prosperous, only the Lion King and his protege can reign.

Palestinians must recognize Israel's Sovereignty over the entire Israel as per the boundaries delineated in the Bible.  These  boundaries are non negotiable.

Non Jews are entitled to remain in the Land if they agree to abide by the Laws of Universal  Morality, namely the 7 Noahide laws and agree to accept Israel's Sovereignty.  If not let them leave.

Israel in turn is obligated to take care of their basic civil rights and provide them with education, medical benefits and economic opportunity and prosperity.

So long as Israel violently throws Hilltop youth into jail without due process and expels Settlers from their homes in a threatening and violent manner and freezes settlemen growth and continuously rule in their  Supreme Court of Justice  to defy G-d and G-d's laws, they put Israel, it's residents and it's Chayalim  in severe risk.

Compare the treatment of Elisha Odess to Ahed Temimi.

Trump can easily empathize with how unfair the Israeli Judicial system treats the Jewish Hilltop Youth held as political prisoners vs Palestinian terrorists. Most Palestinian prisoners  have actual  blood on their hand with indictments and sentences and actual and factual verifiable  evidence that they are indeed ticking time bombs.  They and their families of all ages and gender are unabashedly committed to engage in terror against Israel be it innocent civilians or IDF  soldier. Trump surely could relate to this outrageous  double standard.  He sees how terribly biased and vicious  the "Mueller investigation" is against him fabricating evidence vs how the "impartial investigation"  ignores Clinton and Democrat blatant violations far more severe.

How to defend Trumps Immigration  Policy and ICE "mistreatment"  of Migrants and their Families

Raise awareness of the plight of the Yezidis, welcome them, grant them priority protection, food,  shelter,  a safe haven to live without fear, and receive medical treatment, be it physical and/or emotional. They would be thrilled to return to Iraq if it was safe. They need asylum but prefer their homeland in Iraq! Do the same for Christians whose lives are literally in danger in radical Muslim countries.

Protect women and  children held in the clutches of human traffickers masquerading as family..

How is this related?  Years ago, Trump was interviewed on the Bill Donohue Show and harshly questioned about  his uncaring attitude towards throwing out rent controlled tenants. Trump pointed out that many of these so-called evicted homeless and needy victims actually had several homes in which to live and their neediness was fake and their right to these apartments were connected to who they knew rather than their need.  Rent stablized apartments should go to those in real need not fake need.

Yezidis legitimately have a need. There is no denying the genocide of their people.  They have been targeted and their lives threatened. They deserve highest priority designated with refugee status and protected from their tormentors, who are unvetted ISIS monstors who deserve no mercy nor kindness.  The tragedy of the Yezidi population parrallels that  of a Jewish Tribe in the time of Mohammad. Similarly, ISIS  beheaded the men and enslaved the women for their own personal use. History must not repeat itself! Genocide and sex slavery should be stopped by Civilized society. G-d surely would reward in kind!
