90th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SAN REMO CONFERENCE

Granting the right under international law for Jews to settle anywhere in western Palestine - the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea

Villa Devanche, San Remo, Italy

Villa Devanche, San Remo, Italy

April 25, 1920

April 25, 2010

On the 24-25 of April 2010, the European Coalition for Israel conducted a number of educational seminars delivered by Eli Hertz from the United States and Solomon Benzimra from Canada . It was followed by a ceremony held in San Remo at the same house (Villa Devanche) where the signing of the San Remo declaration took place in 1920.

The event attracted politicians as well as grassroots activists from around Europe, the U.S., and Canada. Member of Knesset and Deputy Speaker Danny Danon also attended and delivered greetings from Jerusalem.

At the conclusion of the commemoration, the following statement was released:

"Reaffirming the importance of the San Remo Resolution of April 25, 1920 - which included the Balfour Declaration in its entirety - in shaping the map of the modern Middle East, as agreed upon by the Supreme Council of the Principal Allied Powers (Britain, France, Italy, Japan, and the United States acting as an observer), and later approved unanimously by the League of Nations; the Resolution remains irrevocable, legally binding and valid to this day.

"Emphasizing that the San Remo Resolution of 1920 recognized the exclusive national Jewish rights to the Land of Israel under international law, on the strength of the historical connection of the Jewish people to the territory previously known as Palestine.

"Recalling that such a seminal event as the San Remo Conference of 1920 has been forgotten or ignored by the community of nations, and that the rights it conferred upon the Jewish people have been unlawfully dismissed, curtailed and denied.

"Asserting that a just and lasting peace, leading to the acceptance of secure and recognized borders between all States in the region, can only be achieved by recognizing the long established rights of the Jewish people under international law."

The outcome of the declaration gave birth to the "Mandate for Palestine," an historical League of Nations document that laid down the Jewish legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine, a 10,000 square-miles the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

Fifty-one member countries - the entire League of Nations - unanimously declared on July 24, 1922:

"Whereas recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country."

Jews are in the Land of Israel as of right and not on sufferance.

It is important to point out that political right to self-determination as a polity for Arabs, was guaranteed by the same League of Nations in four other mandates - in Lebanon and Syria [The French Mandate], Iraq, and later Trans-Jordan [The British Mandate].

Any attempt to negate the Jewish people's right to Palestine-Eretz-Israel, and to deny them access and control over the area designated for the Jewish people by the League of Nations is a serious infringement of international law.

The European Coalition for Israel was founded in Brussels in 2003. It is the only European non-Jewish grass roots organisation with an EU-liaison office in Brussels and with partners in most EU member states. Its main objective is to promote positive relations between Europe and Israel, to commemorate the Holocaust and to fight anti-Semitism.

Israel does not own the Land of Israel. G-d does.

bs"d

In 2004 an article I had written about Shemittah  was posted on Arutz7.  In light of an article submitted to the Permanent Forum on Forestation about Shemittah  in the 9th Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues I am reposting it.

Israel does not own the Land of Israel. G-d does.

Submitted to UN: The Shemittah Year for the Twelve Tribes of Israel in the Land of Israel

The Shemittah Year  for the Twelve Tribes of Israel in the Land of Israel

Robin Ticker representing 12 Tribes and the Jewish Tribal People

The Shemittah year is a year of rest for the Land of Israel which occurs every 7 years. . The term as we know it today, "Taking a Sabbatical" originate with this Biblical commandment to the 12 Tribes of Israel to let the Land rest.  It written in the Holy Torah:

But the seventh year shall be a complete rest for the land, a Sabbath for Hashem.  Your field you shall not sow and your vineyard you shall not prune.  The after growth of your harvest you shall not reap and the grapes you had set aside for yourself you shall not pick.  It shall be a year of rest for the land.  The Sabbath produce of the land shall be yours to eat, for you, for your servants and for your laborer and for your resident who dwell with you.  And for your animal and for the beast that is in your land shall all its crop be to eat." [1]
Our Commentaries explain that in this year it is forbidden to plant, sow and harvest for ones' personal economic gain. Every farmer must make their field "hefker" which means open to all, and it is forbidden to sell ones' produce as one usually does in the other six non Sabbatical years.  In this year, the ownership of the Land returns to its Creator, the Master of the Universe. G-d has then commanded that the produce is free for the picking and it is a year of communal sharing.

More laws of the Sabbatical year are as follows. It is written in The Holy Torah:
"May there be no destitute among you, rather Hashem will surely bless you in the Land that Hashem, your G-d will give you as an inheritance, to possess it..... If there shall be a destitute person among you, any of your brethren in any of your cities, in your Land that Hashem your G-d gives you, you shall not harden your heart, or close your hand against your destitute brother. Rather you shall open your hand to him, you shall lend him his requirement, whatever is lacking to him." [2]

From these passages we learn that in this year there shall be no poor and there is no rich since all are equal and no one is lacking.   This year has enormous environmental, political and economic ramifications.  It is binding only on the members of the 12 Tribes of Israel and those that live with them, only in the Land of Israel within the specified borders delineated in the Torah. [3]

The  12 Tribes of Israel are the indigenous people of the Land of Israel whose ancestry dates back to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the Biblical, biological, historic and spiritual forefathers of the 12 Tribes of Israel.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel conquered the Land of Israel in the time of Joshua a well known Biblical narrative.  With the destruction of the 1st and Second Temple, the Tribes went into exile and were dispersed throughout the world.  The descendants of the Tribe of Judah, Benjamin as well as members of the Tribe of Levi, the Levites can trace their lineage back to their ancestors from the Kingdom of Judah which today is part of what is known as Judea and Samaria. For 2000 years of exile these Tribes pray daily to return to the Land of their ancestors the Land of Israel.

Our holidays express our souls' yearning and desire to be able to return to the days of old and once again be able to serve G-d as we did in the past.  The other 10 Tribes are known as the 10 Lost Tribes and they are from the Israelite Kingdom, and only in recent years have these lost Tribes been re surfacing among them members of the Tribe of Menashe, the Tribe of Dan, the Tiribe of Asher and other peoples who trace their ancestry to the 10 lost Tribes.
The Commandment of The Shemittah year is one that is considered perhaps the hardest commandment in the Torah to keep because it requires unfaltering faith in the Almighty that He will sustain us when we are forbidden to profit from the Land, which for many is our only source of income.

It was only with the Tribes return to their ancestral homeland in this century, was it necessary to observe the commandment of Shemittah of the Land.  Up until then, observance of Shemittah , the Sabbatical year in the Diaspora was not required. Now, after 2000 years, this commandment, once again is relevant.  It is perhaps the most mysterious commandment and attempts of implementation have created revolutionary political, economic and environmental upheavals. While many Rabbi's in Israel  have differences of opinion as per how this commandment should be observed in our time, the laws are still evolving and the goal of observing the Sabbatical Year in the spirit of the Sabbath, a time of economic and spiritual utopia, is still elusive and yet to be realized.

In the Torah it states that the key to Peace, Prosperity, and Security lies with this commandment.  It is in this year that the ownership of the Land is very clear.  By keeping Shemittah, the Israelite demonstrates quite dramatically to himself and to the entire World what G-d says "Ki Li Kol Haaretz"    which means
"the entire Land belongs to Me, G-d,  and it is I who determines who will inherit it."[4]

Thank you.

We have a very big opportunity to make an impact, it seems Zevulen Orlev together with  Eitan Cabel are restarting discussions regarding the Heritage List. Har HaBayit (Temple Mount) has not yet been added to the list, which is a travesty. We have someone on the inside Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander who is in contact with MK Orlev and would like to bring him a petition by next week with no less than 10,000 signatures on it. Please urge all your lists to sign and actively encourage everyone they know to sign the petition as well. Perhaps we can even exceed the 10,000 mark. The petition is in Hebrew and English and should therefore be sent out to Hebrew and English lists. We have a very good opportunity to the Har an issue, please help in this regard.

Here is a link to the petition which at this time is standing at 871    http://www.gopetition.com/online/35455/signatures.html

Thank you for you help,

Open Letter to US Jewry:

The battle for the future of Jerusalem has begun! While many people are beginning to cry out against the division of Jerusalem and against and a freeze on Jewish construction, it appears as if the heart and center has been forgotten. Like a human body if you kill the heart, the rest of the body will quickly wither away, and so it is with the Temple Mount and the Land of Israel.

The Holy Temple Mount is the heart of Jerusalem and the Land of Israel, and as the old saying goes "He who controls the Mount shall control Jerusalem". If we have no right to the Mount than we certainly have no right to communities like Ramat Shlomo. If we have no right to the Mount than we do not even have a right to the Western Wall, for the sanctity of the wall derives from the Mount. In fact the Arabs have already begun to call the Western Wall the "Al Buraq Wall" or the wall to which Mohamed allegedly tied his horse. This situation has led to a disastrous situation.

From the very place that the Temple priests brought the holy sacrifices, Arabs now gather for picnics. From the very place that the Levites sang the sweet praises of the Lord, the Muslim leaders call for the death of our people and the destruction of our State. The place of Oleh Regel (pilgrimage) has become the place for Kadur Regel (soccer) by Arab children. The Arabs for years now have been continuing to erase any trace of the first and second Temples. They have turned the Temple Mount into one gigantic outdoor Mosque and from there they wage their unrelenting battle against us. In addition Jews are denied basic rights on the mount and are even arrested for crimes like moving lips or closing eyes in prayer. The Arabs properly understand the symbolism that goes along with controlling the Temple Mount.

The Book of Haggai states, "Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying: Is this the time for you to dwell in paneled houses, while this house sits in ruins?" As Israel capitulates to America and enforces a building freeze in Judea and Samaria and now Jerusalem the words from Haggai ring loudly in our ears! Since the liberation of the Temple Mount in 1967 there has been an ironclad freeze on anything Jewish on the Mount. No Jewish prayer or study and certainly no building. By abandoning the Temple Mount to the enemy, we essentially handed them the keys to kingdom. If a Jew may not pray or have free access to the very place where his Temple stood, then what possible right could he have to even Tel Aviv, which is but one hundred years old. The world must also understand that if the radical Muslims can take over the ancient and sacred Mount in Jerusalem, they will have no problem usurping any other capital they like, including Washington DC.

Everyday more and more decrees are created by the Israeli police making it more and more difficult for Temple Mount activists to work. Activists are regularly harassed by police and special security agents. Emails, phones and websites are carefully and constantly watched; this very letter will most likely be read and analyzed. Freedom of speech for Temple Mount activists simply does not exist and many lay leaders and rabbis, are simply afraid to get involved for fear of persecution. I have heard this from top rabbis and leaders in Israel. If Jews outside of Israel do not begin to protest this, it will not end and will even get worse. We urgently need Jews and lovers of Israel to help us fight this battle; we must save the Temple Mount and Jerusalem along with her! The Prophet Isaiah states "For the Sake of Zion is will not be still, for the Sake of Jerusalem I will not be quite", words are not enough we need concrete action, now more than ever! We must create serious facts on the ground, and if we cannot do that, we will lose it!

HOW MUCH LONGER WILL YOU STAND BY AND WATCH THIS PERSECUTION IN SILENCE???

Please urge your congregations, family and friends to protest this injustice loudly! The preservation of the Temple Mount and Jerusalem is the responsibility of every Jew across the world; no one can abstain from this responsibility. If we lose the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, the future generation will not forgive us and neither will generations of the long and bitter 2,000 year exile who never relinquished the hope that they might one day return. The Psalms states "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, may all those that love thee prosper"; this is both a command and a guarantee. The command is to pray for Jerusalem and the guarantee is that those who do so will prosper.

Come and prosper with us!

Dear Ronn, amv"sh

Shavua Tov!

Yasher Koach! Very Professional PR.  Tonight alone I heard about this rally on Dov Hikind show and  repeated excellent radio spots featuring Rabbi Spero on Zev Brenner not to mention email and facebook reminders. Last week my friend heard  Beth Galinsky interviewed on  talk radio, and the Ed Koch YOU TUBE  that was circulated was really good. I saw ads in Print Media like Jewish Press, 5TJT, tons of emails.....and then there is all the PR I am unaware of...

Please...
include the message of the Torah, and the message of the most ardent grass root promoters of this rally in future Press ReleasesNadia Matar and Yehudit Katzover are the Jewish Heroines of our generation and deserve the most professional PR available.  We learn from this past weeks Parsha, Acharei Mos and Kedoshim  that when undeserving people are in places not meant for them, the end result is tragedy. We are not doing any favors to the Palestinians  by giving them a State chas vechalila...

For the next rally please promote these slogans :

"The Bible is our Mandate!"  Ben Gurion

"Safeguard Judea, Samaria and and Undivided Jerusalem"

Ronn, please Visit Hebron, Davan at  Mearat Hamachpela. The Torah is the common denominator.  It will unite Jews and Non Jews!  When it comes to Eretz Yisroel, Torah alone can  actualize the prophesy of Isaiah and Jeremiah. Please reflect these True and Holy words in your PR campaign.  Thank you for listening.

1. The word that Isaiah, son of Amoz, prophesied concerning Judah and Jerusalem.   א. 2. And it shall be at the end of the days, that the Mountain of the Lord's House shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it shall be raised above the hills, and all the nations shall stream to it.   ב. 3. And many peoples shall go, and they shall say, "Come, let us go up to the Lord's mount, to the House of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths," for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.   ג. 4. And he shall judge between the nations and reprove many peoples, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift the sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.   ד. 5. "O house of Jacob, come and let us go in the light of the Lord."

To the participants of the rally-

Shalom from the hills of Judea!

We are moved by your solidarity and by your activities for the safeguarding of  Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.

Erets Israel, the heartland of Judea and Samaria, defends the State of Israel.

Without Israel's Biblical Heartland, Jewish survival is in danger.

Hevron, Bet El, Shilo, Shchem and of course united undivided Jerusalem are the cradle of our nation.

The entire world knows that the Land of the Bible belongs to the People of the Bible.  The Jews are in their Land as heirs of their forefathers and not as foreign occupiers. As Ben Gurion  said: "The Bible is our mandate".. No one has the right to expel Jews from their homeland, for the Land of Israel belongs to the past, present and future generations. No nation in the world willingly forfeits its homeland. We have returned to our land in order to stay in it, build it, settle it and grow in it

We are a people with an abnormal history. After 2000 years of exile we have returned to the Land of our forefathers in order to build a moral example to the world. We draw our morality  from the Prophets and from the Divine promise: "Lecha eten et haarets hazot' "To you I will give this Land"

With G-d's help and with yours we will fulfill the verse in the Torah:

"Alo naaleh veyarashnu ota-ki yachol nuchal la"

"Let us all go up to the Land and reclaim it, for we shall certainly overcome!"

With love for Israel,

Rabbi Roy Neuberger THOUGHTS ON THE SANCTITY OF ERETZ YISROEL Just in time for the Torah message at the Rally

bs"d

Thank you Rabbi Neuberger for sending these Torah thoughts.  It would be great if you could speak at the Rally.

My comments:

How can any other Nationality  besides the Jewish Nation actualize the sanctity of Eretz Yisroel?   THe concept of sanctity is similar to marriage.  The Union between G-d, the Land of Israel and the Nation of Israel is a H-ly.  It is one which will eventually  be a source of blessing for mankind.  However this can only happen by being committed to a union  that is based on Holiness and not Obaminations.   Therefore the Torah is very strict in this regard in order to preserve and protect the sanctity of the Land and the people for the ultimate benefit of mankind.

B"H

THOUGHTS ON THE SANCTITY OF ERETZ YISROEL

Dear Friends:

"You shall safeguard My decrees and My judgments and not commit any of these abominations. For the inhabitants of the land who are before you committed all of these abominations, and the land became contaminated." (Vayikra 18:26)

"Do not follow the traditions of the nation that I expel from before you, for they did all of these and I was disgusted with them." (Vayikra 20:23)

So we read the Shabbos of Acharei Mos-Kedoshim.

G-d rejected these nations from the Holy Land, and now the nations of the world come to harangue and vilify the Children of Israel regarding possession of the Land of Israel!

What is going on?

            Let us review some basics.

Years ago, when we were new to Judaism, Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis taught us Rashi's very first commentary in the Five Books of Moses.  To paraphrase: Why does the Torah begin with the Creation of the world?  It is a book of commandments and the Creation of the world is not a commandment.  "The power of His acts He told His people ... so that if the nations of the world will say to Israel 'You are thieves, for you stole the Land from the Seven Nations who previously inhabited it...'  Israel will then say to them, 'The whole earth belongs to the Holy One, Blessed is He.  He created it and He gave it to the one found proper in His eyes.  By His wish He gave it to them, and by His wish He took it from them and gave it to us.'" (Rashi to Genesis 1:1)

More basics: G-d said to our father Abraham, "I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojourns - the whole land of Canaan as an everlasting possession..." (Genesis 17:8)

G-d said to our father Isaac, "To you and to your offspring will I give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Avraham your father." (Genesis 26:3)

G-d said to our father Jacob, "The land that I gave to Avraham and Yitzchak I will give to you and to your offspring after you...." (Genesis 35:12)

Are we "thieves"?

The Jewish People desire the good of all nations and all mankind.  We come to be a blessing to the world.  As G-d said to our father Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you." (Genesis 12:3)   But blessings come only to those who respect His will.  If G-d apportioned the Land to His Children, there is no force in the universe which can change that destiny.  "Rabos machashavos b'lev ish ... many designs are in a man's heart, but only the counsel of G-d will prevail." (Mishlei 19:21)

We have been learning in the weekly Parshios about the erection of the Mishkan (Tabernacle in the Desert).  Let us consider the disposition of the Children of Israel around the Mishkan.  At the center is the Kodesh ha Kadoshim, the Holy of Holies.  To its East is the Kodesh, the Holy Area.  Surrounding them is the Chatzair, the Courtyard.  The Tribe of Levi surrounds the Chatzair, with the place of Moses and Aaron on the east.  Surrounding the Tribe of Levi are the other tribes, with Yehuda, Yissachar and Zevulon on the east.  And what surrounds the tribes?  The rest of the world!  All the nations are grouped in expanding circles around the Mishkan, but the Mishkan is the center of the world.  The successor to the Mishkan, the Bais ha Mikdosh, the Holy Temple - may we see it soon in our days! - is in the center of the entire world, the place from which the world was built, which is on the Temple Mount in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

This is a paradigm for the world today.  The world has been set up with the site of the Temple its center.  The Children of Israel, in all our sanctity, surround that center spot.  The greatest sanctity is at the very center.  Those entrusted and appointed by G-d to surround the intense sanctity at the center are His People Israel, who are saturated with the sanctity of the Torah and trusted to maintain and guard the sanctity of the world.  The entire Land of Israel is filled with this sanctity, surrounding the site of the Bais ha Mikdosh.  The nations of the world, surrounding Israel as they do, are able to benefit from our sanctity to the extent that they respect the way in which G-d has apportioned the world.  But for anyone who - G-d forbid! - attempts to upset the arrangements made by G-d, the result, by definition, will be the opposite of blessing!

My book, 2020 VISION, begins with the following passage:  "In the End of Days, after the Children of Israel have returned to their land, the children of Ishmael and the children of Esau will unite to attack Jerusalem. They will form a world coalition against the tiny nation of Israel.  But something will go wrong with their plan.  The religious beliefs of the children of Ishmael and the children of Esau will clash, and the two nations will collide and destroy each other. This is what is referred to as the War of Gog and Magog.  Following this cataclysmic conflict, the Final Redemption of the Jewish People will occur with the coming of Messiah the Son of King David."  (Malbim on Yechezkel 32:17)

We are seeing this today!  Prophesy is unfolding before our eyes!  If we are able to remember that, "ain od milvado ... There is none beside Him! (Dvarim 4:35), then we will know that -- not only do we have nothing to fear - but we should be filled with intense exhilaration that the signs of the Final Redemption are so incredibly palpable!

"G-d is with me.  I have no fear; how can man affect me?  ....  All the nations surround me.  In the Name of G-d I cut them down!  They encircle me; they... surround me.  In the Name of G-d I cut them down.  They encircle me like bees, but they are extinguished as fire does thorns.  In the Name of G-d I cut them down!  (Tehillim 118)

Do you want to hear something amazing?  I heard that the Brisker Rov ZT"L predicted there would be such a thing as "suicide bombers" on the basis of the words "they encircle me like bees."

When a bee stings, it dies!

People say "there is no answer to suicide bombers."

No answer?

King David has an answer!  He "extinguishes" the "bees" with the Name of G-d!

What do we have to fear?  All that we need remember is to live with the Name of G-d on our lips, and we will see the greatest Redemption in the history of the world!

These are our times: prophetic words are becoming clear for all to see.

Every descendant of Adam and Eve was born with free will.  The nations of the world are not bound by some uncontrollable force to hate us and defy the Word of G-d.  Every descendant of Adam and Eve is adjured to follow the Seven Commandments which are incumbent upon all mankind.  When the King of all kings gives the Land of Israel back to His People, it is our place to applaud His greatness.

"How can I repay G-d for all His kindness to me?  I will raise the cup of salvations and invoke the Name of G-d!" (Tehillim 116)

We have existed up to now despite the efforts of many nations to annihilate us, G-d forbid, and we will continue to exist until and beyond the Final Redemption, because we stick like glue to the Torah given to us by the Ruler of the Universe.  If the nations of the world try to adhere to the will of the King of kings, then perhaps they will merit to survive and see the glorious day when "G-d is One and His Name is One," and the Children of Israel have all returned in honor to the Holy Land and the Holy Torah.

It is all unfolding before our eyes!  May we see its glorious conclusion soon in our days!

Please G-d,

Let us act on faith and be  Politically Incorrect:  Let us

  • Mention G-d and the Torah as being the only root source of Jewish entitlement to the Land of Israel.
  • Mention that  there is absolutely no common ground with Torah and militant Palestinian aspirations regarding the Land of Israel. G-d has promised the Land of Israel to the people of Israel as an everlasting inheritance in return for observing the commandments of the Torah. Militant Palestinian aspirations has no concept of these matters and in fact quite the opposite. Please read link about the Quranic argument for Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel  (courtesy of Rabbi Hollander) Italian Muslim communal leader and Quranic scholar Sheik Abdul Hadi Palazzi http://www.tabletmag.com/news-and-politics/28575/allah-is-a-zionist/
  • Mention that the Site of our Holy Temple is the Number One Jewish Heritage Site and the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel's tomb follow on the most important Jewish Heritage Sites..

Let us be proud to say!

  • Jews are the rightful inheritors of the Land of Israel.
  • Jews have Entitlement and Palestinians who refuse to accept Israel's Sovereignty are the OCCUPIERS!
  •  G-d fulfills His promises and only when the Jews are settling the Land and keeping the commandments will we all enjoy Peace and Prosperity.
  • G-d punishes those that do harm to Israel and blesses those that bless Israel
Please send us your supportive  press release today ASAP!  Thank You!

Our Message to the World - Har Habayit - All the Nations shall stream to it- Prophesy of Isaiah Chapter 2 Prophesy of Jerimiah 2:3

bs"d

Let us take our cue from the Arabs that are preoccupied with the Site of our Holy Temple.  Thank you Shmuel Koenig and Yosef Rabin for the references:

Verses in Isaiah which talks about our aspirations for Har Habayit and Yerushalyaim (translations courtesy of the Stone Chumash)

Isaiah 11:9 read in the Diaspora on the 8th day of Passover frequently quoted by the Lubavitch Rebbe ob"m- "They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as water covers the sea"

Yosef  Rabin comments:
This is both a command and promise, if we guard the Temple Mount and restore her, then "the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord,"

Jeremiah 2:3

Israel is Holy to Hashem, the first of  His crop, all who devour it will be held guilty, evil shall come upon them - the word of Hashem

Let me tie these verses to Current Events

In response to a recent email of mine regarding England's ban of photos of the Kotel and the site of the Holy Temple from Israel tourist ads since it would "mislead" the public into thinking that these Holy Sites were part of Israel,

Esther writes:

HaShem rules the World.

Dear Esther, amv"sh

This indeed seems to be a connection and the fruition of Jerimiah's 2:3 prophesy (see above).

This raises a very interesting point.  It is not to the benefit of the Arabs to occupy Jewish Holy Sites.  This concept of crossing boundaries designated for holiness is met with tragedy both for those that allow the trespass and those that trespass.  This concept is true in the Holy Temple especially.  The Priest themselves policed their designated space, set up Mishmarot, to make sure that only those that were permitted had access to the designated holy areas.  If they failed to protect their space, then this incurred the wrath of G-d and those that trespassed were met with tragedy.

From this we can learn that while Hashem apparently  punished those that speak against our entitlement to Har Habayit as England has done, we as Jews have an obligation to raise a powerful voice and  claim Har Habayit as ours and actually protect our holy sites from those that wish to desecrate it and profane it.  By not doing so, we have placed a stumbling block for the Nations of the World.  It begins with proper education in order that  we prevent desecration for that which is designated for holiness.  Moshe Dayan made a grave error is handing the keys to Har Habayit to the Waqf. As a secular Jew he lacked education and knowledge as per how fundamental this Holy site is for the Jewish people.  It our times,  It is a shanda, a shame,  that Israel has yet to put Har Habayit as a Jewish Heritage Site.

Israeli Police harass Har Habayit activists who primarily speak about education and yearning for rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdash. Such expression that has been in our liturgy for 2000 years has morphed by our enemies into accusations of plots to blow up Temple Mount based on the fabrications of someones imaginations or perhaps plants by Shabak.. True I have no evidence of Shabak plants (merely suspicions after Raviv) but I very seriously doubt anyone has any real evidence of Har Habayit activsts intentions to blow up anything.  My guess is that any accusations stem from Palestinian sources of fabrication and lies which is merely a reflection of their own desires and intentions regarding Jewish Holy Sites..

Nothing can infuriate the Arabs more than an open expression of rebuilding our Holy Temple.  Their teachings regarding Har Habayit is based on pure fabrication (Yishmael was sacrificed etc.)  They systematically destroy archeological evidence of the existence of the First and Second Temples (Bayit Rishon Vesheini).  Jewish expression regarding Har Habayit however scares them, perhaps justifiably,  that the possibility of rebuilding our Beit Hamikdas our Holy Temple will actualize and they will be displaced. (Bimhera Beyameinu)

Whether or not we agree that Har HAbayit should be ascended by Jews as per an ongoing Halachic debate,  we can all agree that it is a desecration that Har Habayit is currently for all practical purposes a "Holy site" for Muslims and a site to host Arab soccer games  and picnics.    In fact it is a place for expressions of rage, incitement and rock  throwing at Jewish worshipers at the Kotel provoked by mere expressions of Jewish entitlement.   These temper tantrums are dealt with by Israeli police by pacifying the Arabs, forbidding Jews to pray  there and harassing Jews for upsetting the Arabs.. If we truly believe that the words of  Isaiah Chapter 2  are true, it is clear that  these Arabs are ruining it for themselves and for the rest of the world!

The Long Arm of Hashem's Justice

Some people think they're smart, like the British folks who run the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The day before yesterday, the senseless stuffed-shirts declared that the Western Wall and the site of our Holy Temple in Jerusalem are not part of Israel, banning Israeli Tourist adverts that included photos of these holy sites.
The bumbling Brits didn't realize that when you mess around with Jerusalem and the Wall, you mess around with Hashem.
"Aha, Great Britain - are you so brazen to discourage tourism to My Holy City?" Hashem asks. "You question My children's right to their Father's palace? You shall not have a single tourist entering or leaving your silly Island!"
So what did Hashem do?
Hashem let a remote volcano in Iceland erupt, from the Icelandic mountain Eyjaffjalljokull, whose ash cloud grounded all air traffic above Britain yesterday, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. You see, the microscopic particles which make up volcanic ash pose a threat to aircraft because they can affect visibility and get sucked into aircraft engines, causing total breakdown.
No one remembers when British airspace was totally closed. Such a natural phenomena as an atmospheral ash cloud is one in a zillion. But, Hashem in implementing His Divine justice is defying statistics more and more as we get closer to Moshiach.
Britain's air traffic service said late Thursday it was extending a ban on most air traffic until 1200GMT (8 a.m EDT) Friday, this morning. Meanwhile the financial losses and the chaos is mindboggling.
Who else wants to fool around with Hashem and Jerusalem? Step up to the plate...
Big Beam blessings to Elliot Brill from Edgeware in London for his major help in preparing today's post
