Lichvod HaRabbonim,

Bamidbar: Numbers Chapter 32:6

Moses said to the descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben, "Shall your brethren go to war while you stay here?

I went to a Challah bake in Brooklyn this past October 2017.  One of the guest speakers was a Holocaust Survivor in her late 80s by the name of Bronia Brandman from Boro Park.  While I expected lots of inspiring messages from this Challah bake on Unity and Ahavas Yisroel, I was totally surprised to see this very frum Boro Park Bubby, sheitel and all, speak with such reverence about the IDF.  It seemed so out of character....

Her message however is perhaps the most authentic one coming from the Ashes of our grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, the 6 million Kedoshim, perished at the hands of the Brutal Nazis,  buried in the crematorium of Aushwitz and other concentration camps.  Would they feel the same way as Bronia Brandman?  What would they want their descendants to do right now, wherever they live,  facing the Amalek of today in a position of strength rather than helplessness?

Here is a link to her message.

Bronia Brandman, 86, vowed never to return to the Nazi camp that was the site of her 'emotional death'; she says that she found the strength to do so only when accompanied by IDF officers who evoke 'pride and hope.'

"....The sun never came up in the Birkenau. It was clouded by the smoke coming out of the chimneys. We were surrounded by people who were dying. At first I came with my sister Mila.. It was the most horrible thing...the waiting to be taken to the gas chambers. How was I going to say goodbye to Mila?   Am I going to tell her that I am going to live and she is going to die?  They threw Mila into the truck and took her to the gas chambers.  I felt myself turning into stone. I think  that was emotional death.

But coming with the IDF was euphoric....restoring my hopes and my prayers for a better world for my grandchildren...."

Tefilin and Tzizit are the greatest שמירה, protection for our Chayalim rather than  כוחי ועצם ידי, merely strength and power of the IDF,

Please promote a Tefillin and Tzizit Campaign:

Just tell everyone you know,

Ladies, please encourage the men and  boys of your life to please put on Tefillin and Tzizit with extra כוונה, with extra intent and to have in mind the protection and safety of all the Chayalim who are fighting to help protect Am Yisroel. We need hundreds and thousands of Bnei Torah  as well as Hamonei Am to unite in Solidarity with the Chayalim on the front with their Tefillot and their heartfelt prayers as they don their Tzizit, Tallit and Tefillin, United as One, the entire Nation of Israel, Dati, Chareidi, Leumi, Chiloni, Sepharadi, Ashkenazi etc.  this Chodesh Elul.

May our collective Teshuva succeed to annul and preempt any Gezera that might be in the making Chas VeSholom.

May we be zochehת merit, to great miracles, Yeshuoth veNechamoth, Salvation and comfort,  and may our prayers be answered that each and every Chayal be safe and protected from all harm and be zocheh to build a Bayit Neeman beYisroel and the coming of Moshiach בקרוב בימינו אמן!
