The Art of Negotiation under Trump. .How Jews Should Negotiate Against the 2 State Solution

Bsd

How to Negotiate under Trump for the best Deal for Israel?

Remember, Trump is an objective mediator of 2 sides. He does not represent Israel nor the Palestinian Authority.

Obama masqueraded as Mediator but was clearly biased against Israel and Israel was never permitted to present their side without serious condemnation and repercussions.

Usually I agree with Caroline Glick but I think she misunderstands Trump.

..."but now, it appears that Trump has been convinced to embrace the PLO obsession."

Caroline, I have a different take on the whole deal.

Trump as a mediator can not take a side. Israel, unfortunately has not been their best own advocate..

Here is a pretty good example of the right way to negotiate with the Palestinians. One must stand his ground.  Mordechai Kedar on Al Jezeera.

Trump wants to be the middleman in conducting a fair negotiated agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

His specialty is the Art of the Deal.

We also know that up to his winning the Presidency, Trump and his inner circle sided with Israel's right to live and settle in the entire Promised Land,  including Judea and Samaria.

We know that Jason Greenblatt's  personal preference is being opposed to a Palestinian State.  The Republican Platform, drafted by Jason Greenblatt, under Trump Candidacy does not include the 2 State Solution.

Yet as a middleman they must be objective.  They are mediators.

Trump is a much more fair mediator than Obama was.

That means he allows both sides to give it their best shot and he will try to negotiate a fair deal between the two sides.

Obama on the other hand was never a fair middleman. He was biased against Israel so Israel never had a chance.

The Trump Administration has given the green light for Israel to put their best bid forward.  He has done the same for the Arabs.

The Arabs never needing much prodding.

The Palestinians have no problem demanding for everything in their initial bid. Abbas wants from the River to the Sea as per their PA charter.  They have not revoked their charter. If you can prove that they have,  William Langfan (father of Mark Langfan Chairman of AFSI) is offering you lots of money!
U.S. Philanthropist Offers Israeli Minister $200,000 to Find Change in Palestinian Charterhttps://www.algemeiner.com/2014/05/05/u-s-philanthropist-offers-israeli-minister-200000-to-find-change-in-palestinian-charter/

Israel on the other hand is not seizing the moment nor taking advantage of the opportunity.

So What should Israel offer as their initial bid?

When one starts to negotiate, you know that you will be expected to be flexible.... You can't begin the process of negotiation with nothing left to negotiate.

Non Negotiable...Israel, the Jewish State, with its delineated boundaries, is the homeland of the Jewish people.

My suggestion:

Israel should demand territory going to the Euphrates River, as was the original boundaries of the Balfour declaration as was the Original Mandate of Palestine in 1920 and consistent with the Biblical boundaries promised to Abraham in Brit Bein Habesarim https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covenant_of_the_pieces

The promise was first made to Abraham (Genesis 15:18-21), then confirmed to his son Isaac (Genesis 26:3), and then to Isaac's son Jacob (Genesis 28:13),Abraham's grandson. The promised land was described in terms of the territory from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates river (Exodus 23:31).

Promised Land - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promised_Land
Please compare the map of the Biblical boundaries above (blue area in top map) with the Original mandate of Palestine 1920 map (white area) as found on Wikipedia. The shape is almost identical.  Obviously the Original Mandate of Palestine got its boundaries from the Bible in Genesis 15.

Israel can now justifiably argue that in the last 5 years, the Arabs have suffered terribly and the entire Middle East is now in turmoil.   Isis, Iran, and Islamic terror regimes are violators of basic universal morality and should be held accountable for the death and murder of hundreds of thousands of Syrians alone, using conventional and non conventional weapons, not to mention the millions of wounded and refugees...  Need we mention the massacre and rape of Yezidis?
Facts:
Report on Syria conflict finds 11.5% of population killed or injuredExclusive Syrian Centre for Policy Research says 470,000 deaths is twice UN's figure with 'human development ruined' after 45% of population is displacedhttps://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/feb/11/report-on-syria-conflict-finds-115-of-population-killed-or-injuredIn all, 11.5% of the country's population have been killed or injured since the crisis erupted in March 2011, the report estimates. The number of wounded is put at 1.9 million. Life expectancy has dropped from 70 in 2010 to 55.4 in 2015. Overall economic losses are estimated at $255bn (£175bn).

Israel can truthfully claim that in those areas where Arabs, primarily Muslims, are currently living and suffering under terrible lawlessness and anarchy, Arabs will fare much better under Israel Sovereignty. The reason being is that Israel would enforce basic universal morality (also known as 7 Noahide Laws). This would bring much needed stability.  Arabs would potentially receive health benefits, education and jobs so long as they accept Israel's guidelines.

Israel in fact has proven itself. Israel has saved the lives of many wounded Syrians providing them with humanitarian aid at Israel's expense. Under Israeli's Sovereignty,  Israel can potentially build up Syria, Lebanon and Iraq and stop them from killing one another and stop the millions of refugees flowing into Europe and North America etc..

Arab Nations have recently had a change of heart towards Israel. They recognize that Israel and the United States under the Trump Administration is their only hope against a nuclear Iran.

Check out Israel's closest neighbors.  Israel is surrounded with hostile terror groups.  The PA in Judea and Samaria, Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon who each independently greatly threatens Israel. Many of these radical Islamic terror groups are empowered by Iran or ISIS .  There is turmoil, war, corruption and instability in all these terror enclaves . These hostile neighbors are armed with rockets capable of reaching and attacking all parts of Israel sometimes within seconds and in a best case scenarios within minutes.

Within Israel proper there is rule of Law, stability with a prosperous growing economy. Israeli Arabs have prospered economically as well.

Just compare the standard of living of Arabs under Islamic law and governance with Arabs living under Israeli law and governance.

Compare the rights of  Muslim women living  in Arab countries with Israeli Arab women living in the State of Israel.

Compare their basic human rights and freedom of movement and quality of life. Compare their basic needs of security, food, running water, electricity, health services, education and economy.

Arabs fare much better under Israel Sovereignty. That is fact. However, if they are terrorists that is not their goal. The destruction of Israel is.

Frankly if you took a poll, most Israel would rather not govern a population engaged in some of the worst human rights violations imaginable. It takes a lot of work to govern such a population only to be accused of being an Occupying Power.  Yet according to the Lubavitch Rebbe, Jews are obligated to see to it that non Jews are practicing Universal Morality, the Seven Noahide Laws.

Frankly, almost all Jews would prefer not to shoulder this very heavy burden. "Let them leave us alone in peace and let them just govern themselves" is probably the majority opinion of  most Jews on the matter.

However, let's go back to the making of a Deal...

Has Israel put forth their best bid forward?

No, foolishly, Israel is going into the initial stages of negotiation with giving most of their G-d Given Land away.  They should never even consider negotiating Judea and Samaria.  They are starting with a position that is favorable to their enemies and is self destructive.

Caroline, in all due respect it is not Trump's fault that Israel is not getting a favorable settlement no pun intended!

For Israel to come out with a fair and favorable settlement, they must negotiate smartly.

To repeat, let me suggest that Israel's initial demand should be as follows: To return to the Mandate of Palestine boundaries of 1920 (see map above)
Sovereignty over territory to the Euphrates, including parts of Lebanon, now occupied by a proxy terror state Hizbollah now controlled by Iran, and Sovereignty over Iraq and Syria occupied by ISIS, and Sovereignty over all of Gaza which is controlled by Hamas and Sovereignty over the entire Judea and Samaria known as the West Bank... In return they will to the best of their ability enforce universal morality with the aid of countries who share Judea Christian values (USA etc).

This seems sensible especially considering that Abbas' initial offer is demanding from the River to the Sea. (Taking Israel off the Map)

Trump could then negotiate a fair and final settlement with Israel annexing Judea and Samaria consistent with the Biblical Boundaries of Numbers 34 Parshat Masei as the final offer.  These final boundaries would end up being similar to the final Mandate of Palestine in 1922.

There are over 22 Arab countries, with land mass 650 times the size of Israel to settle Palestinians who can trace their lineage to many different nationalities. No Palestinian will trace their lineage to Judea and Samaria unless they are of Jewish descent.  On the other hand, Jews are indigenous to Judea and Samaria since their lineage can be traced to the Israelite Tribes of Judah and Benjamin.

This does not translate to Apartheid as BDS false indoctrination suggests. The opposite it true! Radical Islamic regimes engage in apartheid against Jews and other infidels. It is unsafe for non Muslims to reside in most Islamic regimes. That is the definition and actualization of Apartheid.  They are called no go zones. If you enter you do so at your own risk,  you face lynchings etc. These apartheid no go zones are not only in Muslim populated areas in the "Occupied West Bank" they are to be found in Europe and in the United States as well.

In contrast, in Israel, non Jewish residents are safe and welcome to reside in all parts of Israel under the status of Ger Toshav, so long as they adhere to the 7 Noahide Laws and accept the Sovereignty of Israel.  All hostile elements should find their homes elsewhere outside the Jewish Homeland or choose to be expelled. If they choose to endanger Israeli civilians via "armed aggression" aka acts of terror,  then they will pay the price they fully deserve.

This concept of being loyal to the Sovereign country is consistent with how all countries operate.  Americans are required to show their allegiance to the United States of America. This is the reason behind Trump's Executive Order to vet migrants from terror territories.

Why should any country be a host, offer rights and offer a haven and benefits to those who are dangerous and hostile?  Not to guard one's own people is suicidal as France and Germany and other European countries are finding out.

The Land of Israel as defined in Numbers 34:1–12

.

fyi Please compare the map of Biblical boundaries delineated in Numbers 34 and Jewish Palestine of 1922 (the white area, not the yellow), similar to the map of Israel today annexing Judea and Samaria and parts of Lebanon).

Conclusion:

Israel and the Jewish people don't know how to play the art of the deal.

Proofs:
Netanyahu and Lieberman start negotiating by expressing a willingness to be content with settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria! These settlement blocs are a mere fraction of Judea and Samaria.  The understanding is that the vast territory of Judea and Samaria is potentially transferable to a Palestine State. In addition, they have thrown out settlers from their homes in Amona and Ofra and plan on doing so with Netiv Avot.  They have frozen expansion in non settlement blocs.

Mattot Arim.  Israel must build in all of Judea and Samaria not just in small settlement blocs a fraction of the area. Women in Green: Lieberman is mistaken & misleading ליברמן טועה ומטעה Don't put the blame on Trump Administration!

  • This initial offer of Netanyahu and Lieberman annuls Torah.
  • It puts Israel and Arabs in great danger
  • 2 State Solution is no great solution for the Arabs. They fare better under Israel Sovereignty.
  •  Israel is stupidly giving away it's G-d Given Land as a beginning point of negotiation.
Jason Greenblatt needs tremendous Chizuk...As a starter, he needs public statements by Torah Scholars and Major Jewish Organizations and clergy and Faith Based Groups from all faiths affirming Israel's claim to our  Biblical Homeland Judea and Samaria.  This will be the stepping stone towards mobilizing hundreds of thousands of Jews and millions of Noahides and Bible believers to counter the 2 State Solution narrative.  We need G-d on our side and G-d surely won't fight for us if we are apathetic about our Biblical Birthright!.

Trump's administration is getting tons of  pressure from our enemies.

As was noted by Mattot Arim, Trump is not getting any counter pressure.  I see apathy and deafening silence from those who believe in the Torah  and G-d's Eternal Covenant which He made with our forefathers Avrohom Yitzchok and Yaakov.

Lev Melachim BeYad Hashem as it says in Mishlei Proverbs 21
A king's heart is like rivulets of water in the Lord's hand; wherever He wishes, He turns it.אפַּלְגֵי מַיִם לֶב מֶלֶךְ בְּיַד יְהוָה עַל כָּל אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץ יַטֶּנּוּ:
Am Yisroel must be deserving. If majority of Jews are apathetic and unwilling to publicly speak the Truth in the face of International lies,  it creates a void, a Chillul Hashem allowing our enemies to usurp our identity.  How can we put the entire burden on Trump and his advisers to stand up to all of our enemies with no backbone?

So it is no wonder Trump's administration is buckling under tremendous pressure. Jason Greenblatt and David Friedman can not fight this alone. Will we put the blame on them or Trump for the Chillul Hashem that we, the collective Nation of Israel, helped create?

Moshe Rabbeinu rebukes Shevet Reuvein and Gad will your brothers fight your battle and you stay behind?
