MEMO To: ZOA Board of Directors; Regions, Special Friends From: Dr. Michael Goldblatt, Morton A. Klein; David Drimer Date: June 1, 2016 Subject: ZOA Campus Website Wins "Best in Class" in International Competition We are proud and pleased to announce that ZOA has won a major award in an international Internet competition for the new ZOA Campus Website http://campus.zoa.org from the Interactive Media Awards (IMA). The Interactive Media Awards, "recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement." Our overall score of 482 out of a possible 500 from the Interactive Media Awards Board of Judges is truly phenomenal; the site received perfect 100 point scores in the categories of Content and Feature Functionality. Design: 93 Content: 100 Feature Functionality: 100 Usability: 95 Standards Compliance: 94 —————————————————— Total: 482 The "Best in" Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the IMA. It represents "the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism." In order to win this award level, ZOA's Campus site had to successfully pass through a comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of the criteria – an achievement only a small fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year. It is not easy to win a web award from the IMA: others who have won this award include major companies like McDonalds, InterContinental Hotels, the Omnicom Group (ad agency) and Alliance Group (financial services). ZOA Campus, by winning "Best in Class", was equaled only by the Nature Conservancy, an organization whose annual revenues were almost $1 billion last year alone, and one other foreign language site. To see how much the ZOA team has achieved without the resources, large staff, and budget of far larger entities is truly inspiring. We are very proud and we look forward to sharing even more exciting news regarding ZOA's digital initiatives in the near future. |
