Har Habayit - Har Nof Massacre Human Sacrifices - Korban Pesach in our days.. Time to reconsider....put an end to Human Sacrifices....Please Hashem....

bs"d

I started to write this post on Asara BeTeves.  The walls of Jerusalem were breached.  The Jews still however had the opportunity to repent and  prevent the destruction of the Temple....

Is there someway to promote Israel's Sovereignty over Har Habayit and prevent tragedy in the future? .
Israel is A Nation of Priests and a Holy Nation.

At the moment the Jewish People have divided into 2 camps.

  • A Nation of Priests
  • A Holy Nation
The secular Israeli prides himself as being the universal Jew. The Jew who is a light onto the Nations. Like a priest. Tikkun Olam.

The Ultra Orthodox Jew will focus on being a Holy Nation. Kadosh.  For that one needs to be separate and insular so as not to assimilate and lose the aspect of holiness.

Both sides have merit. The key is to unite the concept of being A Nation of Priests and with being a Holy Nation.  That unity is a true representation of Torah.

The Arabs understand that Har Habayit is the holiest site for the Jewish People and if we claim Har Habayit as we should, their power and strength against us would have to diminish and dissipate. They understand this only too well. .. Yet we refrain since we are told Jewish presence on Har Habayit 'inflames' Muslim sensitivities....Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement.   "The operation in Jerusalem is a response to the murder of the martyr Yusuf Ramuni and to the series of crimes by the occupier at Al-Aqsa and Hamas calls to continue these operations,"

The Satan is strongest when Har Habayit is even brought up.

The massacre at Har Nof came in the midst of a Har Habayit controversy. On one hand there was Yehuda Glick who miraculously survived an attack and then the Kedoshim of Har Nof who did not.

BeDamyaich Chayii does not refer to human sacrifice.  Case in point is Akeid'at Yitzchok.

The massacre followed Rav Perlow's address at the Agudah Convention.

Israeli chief rabbi tells Jews to stay away from Temple Mount
November 7, 2014. Yitzhak Yosef, Israel's chief Sephardic rabbi, made the call during the funeral Friday of Shalom Ba'adani, 17 who died that morning in hospital from wounds he sustained on Wednesday when a Palestinian terrorist hit him and 12 others with his car. This is the place to call on the esteemed public to stop this incitement, from here a call is heard, forbidding any Jews from going up to the Temple Mount. From here a call is heard to stop this so that the blood of the People of Israel may stop being spilled," Yosef said.
Members of the Jewish Home party criticized Yosef for calling to Jews to stay away from the Temple Mount and disputed his assertion that it led to bloodshed.
Naftali Bennett, the party's leader and Israel's economy minister, wrote on Facebook: "Honorable Chief Rabbi, Jewish blood was spilled because Arabs murdered them."
Orit Struck, a lawmaker for the party, called the rabbi's remarks "unfortunate," The Jerusalem Post reported. "I protest the blaming of Jews for the incitement and murder committed by Arab terrorists," she said.

If the blood of Jews were spilled because of Jews going up to Temple Mount wouldn't it have been Yehuda Glick who died and not the Kesohim of Har Nof?

Today (Asara B'Tevet) I listened to Rabbi Maimon Elbaz give an audio-visual presentation on Karbanot. at Agudath Yisroel of Madison in Brooklyn.  He mentioned that Yaakov needed to get the Bechora blessing in order to own the animals to bring the Korbanot. One can not bring Karbanot on an animal that one does not own.  The thought came to me that we can not bring Karbanot on Har Habayit unless we take control of Har Habayit. By refusing to take control of Har HaBayit is is an insult to the gift Hashem has given us of Karbanot.  Karbonot is a way to be mechaper without the loss of human life....Interestingly enough, Rabbi Elbaz mentioned that he was scheduled to deliver his audio visual presentation about Korbanot at a Satmar shul.  Moshiach must be on its way....

These posts might be of interest to you where the Halachic Discussion of Korban Pesach in today's time is addressed.

The late Lubavitcher rebbe took an intermediate position. While never advocating to bring the korban Pesach, he was concerned that in case an actual obligation did exist nowadays, one who did not bring this sacrifice would be liable for karet for failure to bring the korban Pesach in its appointed time. Thus, he initially advocated that Jews leave Jerusalem on the 14th of Nissan (and again on the 14th of Iyyar), although he later concluded that this was not required.

Finally after 2000 years Hashem has given us a gift.  Israel captured Har Habayit in the 67 War.  Yet Moshe Dayan gave it away to the Waqf.  Isn't this a slap in the face.  The Lubavitcher Rebbe seemed to think so.  G-d gives us a gift and we say "No Thank You"?  Hashem gave us some time to get used to the idea.  Anavim Anavim...... But now we need to take a stand. It's us or the Arabs. They understand the significance of Har Habayit.  They are waking us up. They are driving us to take a stand.

Our prayers as we know them today were established by our wise sages to take the place of the Avoda on Har Habayit, the Temple Service.  If we have the proper Kavana, mindset when we pray, there is no way to leave Har Habayit out of the picture.  Every portion of the Tefilla is intimately connected with Har HaBayit, Ki Mizion Tezei Torah UDvar Hashem Miyerushalyim. From Zion comes forth Torah.... After completing the Shemoneh Esreh don't we recite Sheyebaneh Beit Hamikdash that he Temple should be rebuilt and may our service be pleasing....  If we really want to get closer to Hashem and the Shechina, the only way to do it is through our focus on Har HaBayit.  Praying in our shuls alone isn't enough seems to be the msg of Har Nof massacre. Hashem wants to see our authentic yearning and practical steps showing our desire to bring back the Beit HaMikdash BimHera Beyameinu Amein.

Har Habayit under the Sovereignty of Israel is a Universal message. It is not merely a religious message.   Torah is Universal.

Religion has gotten a bad rap as being a totalitarian society. The Arabs have hijacked the religious message and has made religion into a dirty word.

The secular are afraid that they will be coerced to keep religion like being under the Taliban... We'll have to wear long sleeves and long skirts etc....All superficial manifestation of the Torah that is actually a misrepresentation of authentic Torah.

Torah is a universal religion.  G-d is a benevolent King for all of Humanity.  Israel is the Chosen People to teach G-d's word to the Nations of the World.  Is Israel up to the task.  The Righteous Noahides believe so.....

Look at the Isaiah Wall, Turning swords into plowshares...

The Temple Mount

Prof. Paul Eidelberg

1.  We need to publicize the idea that Jewish control of Israel's holiest site, the Temple Mount (the Har HaBayit) on which stood the Beit HaMikdash, is a precondition of uncontested Jewish control of an undivided Jerusalem and the vivid restoration of Jewish national honor as well as the sanctification of God's Name.  Once Jews maintain unequivocal control of the Temple Mount, a serious movement can be initiated among Christian in the United States to move the American embassy to Jerusalem – which would produce a salutary shock wave across the world.

2.  Conversely, so long as the Muslim Authority (the Wakf) controls and desecrates the Temple Mount, the nations will despise Israel and kowtow to the Arab-Islamic world.  Muslim desecration of the Temple Mount not only exposes Jewish weakness, but increases Muslim arrogance and incites Islamic violence everywhere.

3.  Jewish spiritual revival of the Temple Mount would not only be the pinnacle of a Jewish restoration of Jerusalem; it would also inflict a lethal blow on the ambitions of Muslims, who regard Jerusalem is the key to their global ambitions.

4. The Wakf has long been violating the Law of Antiquities and the Law of Planning. The Muslims are erasing all historical evidence of Jewish presence on the Temple Mount.  The Netanyahu Government knows this and has cravenly said they have no intention of interfering.

5. Of course, exclusive Jewish control of the Temple Mount is inseparable to Israel's control of Judea and Samaria.  (See below, point 14.)

6. To show that the Temple Mount is the key to the world-historical function of the Jewish people prescribed in the Tenach, I shall now quote various passages from Joshua Berman's book, The Temple

7.  The Temple, he writes, represents "the spiritual center of the country.  Here, at the site where God's presence is most manifest, the representatives of the Jewish people execute commandments and rites that symbolize the service of the nation as a whole."

8. It should also be noted that any non-Jew, so long as he adheres to the Seven Noahide Laws of Universal Morality, can bring certain "sacrifices" to the Temple, which acknowledges God's sovereignty over mankind.

9. The Temple – "a house for God's Name" – symbolizes "a public declaration of God's sovereignty. The ambition of declaring God's sovereignty in the world, which was initiated by Abraham, is the calling of the Jewish people."

10. Berman goes on to say:  "God's acclaim in the world is a direct function of how Israel is perceived [by the nations]."  Israel must become a great country.  "A great country should possess political stability at home and should be at peace with its neighbors.  It should possess a strong economy and should be home to a culture that boasts strong [moral and intellectual] virtues."  Israel did not become such a nation until the reign of King David, and it was left to his son Solomon to build the (first) Temple.  All nations then flocked to Jerusalem, which was recognized not only as the City of Peace but the City of Truth.

11. "The function of the Temple as a symbol for God's acclaim in the world reaches its apex with the visit of the queen of Sheba to Solomon's court" – Solomon, the wisest of kings.  Ponder, therefore, these verses of Isaiah 2:1-3:  "And many nations will go and cry, 'Let us go up the to mountain of God's house, to the house of the Lord of Jacob, and we will learn from His ways and walk in His paths, for out of Zion goes forth the Torah and the word of God from Jerusalem.'"

12. Now let us consider Rabbi Chaim Richman's essay, "A Third Jewish Temple" (May 18, 2000), where he says: "People assume those who are interested in the Temple are radical elements opposed to peace."  Alluding to the era of King Solomon, Rabbi Richman points out that the Temple Mount represents "the hallmark of the greatest era known to man.... This place has been sanctified by God from the beginning of time.... Here Jacob laid his head. Here Abraham tried to sacrifice Isaac.... Of the 613 commandments in the Torah, 113 of them depend on the existence of a Jewish Temple. We have not received a cancellation order for any of the commandments issued at Mount Sinai."

       13.  Public opinion must therefore be educated about the Temple, about its significance in Judaism.  Obviously, the Netanyahu Government, steeped in timidity and intellectual stagnation, will not do this.  This Government doesn't really represent the Jewish people.  At least 25% of Israel's Jewish population is religious, and at least 50% is traditional. The Jewish people were not consulted when, Netanyahu, without Knesset or public discussion, endorsed the creation of a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, Israel's heartland.   There is no reason to believe, therefore, that this orator with a golden tongue and clay feet will stand firm on the issue of Jerusalem and the Har HaBayit

       14. Hence, a Jerusalem Movement involving a network of cells across the nation should be initiated by Jewish youth and venerable rabbis. Their proclaimed purpose is to preserve the integrity of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount now being sullied by Muslims. Weekly demonstrations will be necessary. Eminent speakers should be called upon to denounce Netanyahu's policy of moral equivalence regarding Jewish and Muslim claims to the Holy Land – an insult to Jewish intelligence, as well as to countless Christians who are grateful for Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem, knowing that by this alone will they be welcomed in the Holy City.☼

Our Message to the World - Har Habayit - All the Nations shall stream to it- Prophesy of Isaiah Chapter 2 Prophesy of Jerimiah 2:3

bs"d

Let us take our cue from the Arabs that are preoccupied with the Site of our Holy Temple.  Thank you Shmuel Koenig and Yosef Rabin for the references:

Verses in Isaiah which talks about our aspirations for Har Habayit and Yerushalyaim (translations courtesy of the Stone Chumash)

1. The word that Isaiah, son of Amoz, prophesied concerning Judah and Jerusalem.   א. 2. And it shall be at the end of the days, that the Mountain of the Lord's House shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it shall be raised above the hills, and all the nations shall stream to it.   ב. 3. And many peoples shall go, and they shall say, "Come, let us go up to the Lord's mount, to the House of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths," for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.   ג. 4. And he shall judge between the nations and reprove many peoples, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift the sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.   ד. 5. "O house of Jacob, come and let us go in the light of the Lord."

Isaiah 11:9 read in the Diaspora on the 8th day of Passover frequently quoted by the Lubavitch Rebbe ob"m- "They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as water covers the sea"

Yosef  Rabin comments:
This is both a command and promise, if we guard the Temple Mount and restore her, then "the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord,"

Jeremiah 2:3

Israel is Holy to Hashem, the first of  His crop, all who devour it will be held guilty, evil shall come upon them - the word of Hashem

Let me tie these verses to Current Events

In response to a recent email of mine regarding England's ban of photos of the Kotel and the site of the Holy Temple from Israel tourist ads since it would "mislead" the public into thinking that these Holy Sites were part of Israel,

Esther writes:

On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 11:31 PM, <tafri7@aol.com> wrote:

Rabbi David Cohen of Beit Shaul V'Miriam said, that is why HaShem caused the volcanic ashes to happen a day after this was announced by England. Did you notice British Airports were closed all week due to the Volcanic clouds!! That included Europe that agreed with their decision.
HaShem rules the World.

Dear Esther, amv"sh

This indeed seems to be a connection and the fruition of Jerimiah's 2:3 prophesy (see above).

This raises a very interesting point.  It is not to the benefit of the Arabs to occupy Jewish Holy Sites.  This concept of crossing boundaries designated for holiness is met with tragedy both for those that allow the trespass and those that trespass.  This concept is true in the Holy Temple especially.  The Priest themselves policed their designated space, set up Mishmarot, to make sure that only those that were permitted had access to the designated holy areas.  If they failed to protect their space, then this incurred the wrath of G-d and those that trespassed were met with tragedy.

From this we can learn that while Hashem apparently  punished those that speak against our entitlement to Har Habayit as England has done, we as Jews have an obligation to raise a powerful voice and  claim Har Habayit as ours and actually protect our holy sites from those that wish to desecrate it and profane it.  By not doing so, we have placed a stumbling block for the Nations of the World.  It begins with proper education in order that  we prevent desecration for that which is designated for holiness.  Moshe Dayan made a grave error is handing the keys to Har Habayit to the Waqf. As a secular Jew he lacked education and knowledge as per how fundamental this Holy site is for the Jewish people.  It our times,  It is a shanda, a shame,  that Israel has yet to put Har Habayit as a Jewish Heritage Site.

Israeli Police harass Har Habayit activists who primarily speak about education and yearning for rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdash. Such expression that has been in our liturgy for 2000 years has morphed by our enemies into accusations of plots to blow up Temple Mount based on the fabrications of someones imaginations or perhaps plants by Shabak.. True I have no evidence of Shabak plants (merely suspicions after Raviv) but I very seriously doubt anyone has any real evidence of Har Habayit activsts intentions to blow up anything.  My guess is that any accusations stem from Palestinian sources of fabrication and lies which is merely a reflection of their own desires and intentions regarding Jewish Holy Sites..

Nothing can infuriate the Arabs more than an open expression of rebuilding our Holy Temple.  Their teachings regarding Har Habayit is based on pure fabrication (Yishmael was sacrificed etc.)  They systematically destroy archeological evidence of the existence of the First and Second Temples (Bayit Rishon Vesheini).  Jewish expression regarding Har Habayit however scares them, perhaps justifiably,  that the possibility of rebuilding our Beit Hamikdas our Holy Temple will actualize and they will be displaced. (Bimhera Beyameinu)

Whether or not we agree that Har HAbayit should be ascended by Jews as per an ongoing Halachic debate,  we can all agree that it is a desecration that Har Habayit is currently for all practical purposes a "Holy site" for Muslims and a site to host Arab soccer games  and picnics.    In fact it is a place for expressions of rage, incitement and rock  throwing at Jewish worshipers at the Kotel provoked by mere expressions of Jewish entitlement.   These temper tantrums are dealt with by Israeli police by pacifying the Arabs, forbidding Jews to pray  there and harassing Jews for upsetting the Arabs.. If we truly believe that the words of  Isaiah Chapter 2  are true, it is clear that  these Arabs are ruining it for themselves and for the rest of the world!

The Long Arm of Hashem's Justice

Some people think they're smart, like the British folks who run the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The day before yesterday, the senseless stuffed-shirts declared that the Western Wall and the site of our Holy Temple in Jerusalem are not part of Israel, banning Israeli Tourist adverts that included photos of these holy sites.
The bumbling Brits didn't realize that when you mess around with Jerusalem and the Wall, you mess around with Hashem.
"Aha, Great Britain - are you so brazen to discourage tourism to My Holy City?" Hashem asks. "You question My children's right to their Father's palace? You shall not have a single tourist entering or leaving your silly Island!"
So what did Hashem do?
Hashem let a remote volcano in Iceland erupt, from the Icelandic mountain Eyjaffjalljokull, whose ash cloud grounded all air traffic above Britain yesterday, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. You see, the microscopic particles which make up volcanic ash pose a threat to aircraft because they can affect visibility and get sucked into aircraft engines, causing total breakdown.
No one remembers when British airspace was totally closed. Such a natural phenomena as an atmospheral ash cloud is one in a zillion. But, Hashem in implementing His Divine justice is defying statistics more and more as we get closer to Moshiach.
Britain's air traffic service said late Thursday it was extending a ban on most air traffic until 1200GMT (8 a.m EDT) Friday, this morning. Meanwhile the financial losses and the chaos is mindboggling.
Who else wants to fool around with Hashem and Jerusalem? Step up to the plate...
Big Beam blessings to Elliot Brill from Edgeware in London for his major help in preparing today's post

Fwd: The Late Chief Rabbi Goren's position on Har Habayit by Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

Subject: The Chief Rabbi's War on Har Habayit by Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

Rabbi Goren and the Temple Mount

The controversy with the Wakf is a nationalistic issue. There is also
an halakhic issue on which rabbis disagree. The late Chief Rabbi Goren
tried to arrange a mass prayer on the Mount in 1967 and was stopped by
the government.

From Rabbi Eliezer Melamed
November 14, 2014

The yahrzeit of late Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi of Israel Rav Shlomo
Goren's is this week.

Rabbi Goren's Decision to Print his Book about the Temple Mount

Next week on the 24th day of the Jewish month Mar Cheshvan (Monday)
will be twenty years since the death of the Chief Rabbi of Israel, the
Gaon, Rabbi Shlomo Goren ztz'l. In these days, when Har Habayit (the
Temple Mount) is in the headlines, it is worth quoting segments from
his book "Har Habayit", published a year before his death. In his
book, he investigates in detail the site of the Mikdash (Holy Temple)
and the azarot (Temple courtyards), areas that are forbidden to enter
even after immersion in a mikveh (a bath used for the purpose of
ritual immersion in Judaism), and areas that Jews are permitted to
enter after immersion.

The time was the days of the second Rabin government, which conducted
agreements with the PLO terrorist organization, and handed over parts
of the Land of Israel to our enemies. In his introduction to the book
he wrote: "Currently, when Jewish sovereignty over the Temple Mount is
in danger, Mount Moriah is liable to become the subject of negotiation
between us and the Arabs, and unfortunately, there are politicians who
are willing to negotiate our sovereignty over the Temple Mount,
relying on the alleged prohibition of the Chief Rabbinate to enter Har
Habayit. This prohibition is liable to be used as an excuse to hand
over the nation's Kodesh ha'Kodashim (inner sanctum) to the Muslims.
Therefore, I decided to publish the book now, from which it will be
proven that there are large areas of the Temple Mount which all Jews
are permitted to enter, according to all halakhic opinions, after
immersion in a mikveh..."(p.15).

The Reasons for the 'Heter'

The Temple Mount is composed of two areas. The first, which is the
smallest area, includes the site of the Holy Temple and the
courtyards, and is called machaneh shechina (the inner azara), which
nowadays is forbidden to enter because we cannot be cleansed from
tumat met (defilement of the dead). The second area, which includes
the majority of the Temple Mount, is called machaneh levia, and it is
permitted to enter these areas today after immersion. Indeed, in the
years preceding the establishment of the State of Israel the rabbis,
including Rabbi Kook ztz'l, instructed us not to enter the Temple
Mount at all, for fear that people might go beyond the permitted areas
and enter forbidden places.

Three factors prompted Rabbi Goren to permit going up to the majority
of areas on the Temple Mount: 1) the precise mapping of the Temple
Mount conducted by the I.D.F. Engineer Corps under his orders after
the liberation of the Temple Mount; with these maps, it was possible
to accurately determine which areas were permitted to enter according
to all halakhic opinions. 2) The many testimonies that for more than a
thousand years after the destruction of the Holy Temple, Gedolei
Yisrael (eminent rabbis) used to pray on the Temple Mount in the
permitted areas. 3) The threat to Jewish sovereignty on the Temple
Mount.

It is possible that one of the motivations for placing the warning
signs not to enter the Temple Mount might have been so as not to
provoke the Muslims when the British ruled Israel, and in events of
riots, did not properly protect the Jews.

Lowering Ourselves to the Kotel - The Result of the Sufferings of Exile

Rabbi Goren wrote about his feelings after the Six Day War: "I could
not escape the feeling that from a historic perspective, assigning the
Western Wall plaza for Jewish prayer was nothing but the result of the
expulsion of the Jews from the Temple Mount by the Crusaders and
Muslims together. Thus, an intolerable situation was created in which
even after our liberation of the Temple Mount, the Muslims remained on
top of Har Habayit, and we were down below; they were inside, and we
were outside.

The prayers at the Western Wall are a symbol of destruction and exile,
and not of liberation and redemption, because Jewish prayers at the
Western Wall began only in the sixteenth century - before that, Jews
prayed for centuries on the Temple Mount ... only about three hundred
years ago, the Jews began praying at the Western Wall. And this the
proof: in every reference in the Midrash where it is mentioned that
the shechina (Divine Presence) has not moved from the Western Wall,
and learns this from the verse in Shir Hashirim (Song of Songs):
'Behold! There he stands behind our wall' - this refers to the western
wall of the azara, or the wall of the heichal, in other words, the
wall of the Kodesh HaKodashim, and not the wall of the Har Habayit,
which we call the Western Wall"(pg. 26).

The Necessity to Ascend from the Western Wall to Har Habayit

However, the intensity of the minhag (custom) based on over three
centuries was considerable, and therefore after the Six Day War, the
public at large thronged to the Western Wall to pray. Rabbi Goren
himself wrote that one of the things that prevented him from acting
quickly to regulate the ascent of Jews to the Temple Mount was his
being "bound by the 'chains of love' for the remnant of our Holy
Temple, the Western Wall, where I used to pray every Shabbat, holiday,
and Rosh Chodesh evenings. Since my first visit to the Western Wall
(as a child), my love and emotional affinity for the Wailing Wall has
not faded... ","but our shout ...Who may ascend the mountain of the
Lord"... aroused him to become stronger and clarify the heter to
ascend Har Habayit (pg. 14). Consequently, he began organizing prayers
on the Temple Mount (ibid, pg. 27).

The Canceled Prayer

Before the Shabbat following Tisha B'Av in 1967, Rabbi Goren publicly
announced a mass, gala prayer to be held on the Temple Mount in the
areas where entrance was permitted after immersion. However, by the
orders of Prime Minister and Defense Minister the prayer was canceled.
A few days later, the ministerial committee decided that the Defense
Minister and the Chief of Staff order the Chief Rabbi of the I.D.F.,
Rabbi Goren, not to arrange any more prayers on the Temple Mount (pg.
29-30).

The Shock

The order shocked Rabbi Goren, and he tried everything within his
power to cancel it, including writing a long and detailed letter to
the ministerial committee, in which he argued: How is it possible that
precisely in the holiest place for Jews, it is forbidden for them to
pray?! True, there are a limited amount of areas in which entrance is
forbidden according to the Torah for Jews and Gentiles alike, but
entrance to the majority of the Temple Mount is permitted. Towards the
end of his letter, he called out: "Distinguished men! Save the Holy of
Holies of the Jewish nation; do not hand over the Temple Mount to
those who defile it ..." (pp 30-33).

The Defense Minister

Unfortunately, Rabbi Goren's call went unanswered. Defense Minister
Moshe Dayan decided to transfer the responsibility for managing the
Temple Mount arrangements to the Waqf, and ordered the Military
Rabbinate to evacuate Har Habayit, and not to interfere in matters
concerning the Temple Mount any more. Rabbi Goren responded with "rage
and sorrow", informing the Defense Minister that "this, God forbid,
could lead to the destruction of the Third Temple, for the key to our
sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza is the Temple Mount" (page
34).

Nevertheless, the Defense Minister implemented one of the most
shameful acts in the history of Israel, and handed over the affairs of
the Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf. For many years it was known that
Moshe Dayan had both a dark and a light side jumbled together. On the
one hand, he was a Jewish military hero, but on the other hand, an
adulterer and a thief. Apparently, his adultery and thievery tipped
the scales against him. That is when he began to lose his public
status. His name go down in infamy.

Sovereignty

Still, when the Muslims closed the Mughrabi Gate to prevent Jews from
entering the Temple Mount, at the request of Rabbi Goren, the I.D.F.
broke through the gate to ensure free entry for Jews, thereby
expressing sovereignty over the Temple Mount. However, this act did
not change the order prohibiting Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount.

Rabbi Goren goes on to relate: "Whenever I warned about handing over
of the Holy of Holies of the Jewish nation to the Waqf, the response
of consecutive Prime Ministers was: 'Look, in any case the Chief
Rabbinate forbids Jews from ascending the Temple Mount, and we are
prohibited from praying there." As a result, he decided to write the
book and explain the ways, places, and conditions under which it is
permitted to enter the Temple Mount (pg. 35). Consequently "we must
utilize to the fullest all sides of the heter, so we can demonstrate
continuous Jewish presence there, and maintain Jewish sovereignty over
the Mount, like the apple of our eye" (pg. 46).

The Chief Rabbinate's Sign

It has been claimed that during his tenure as Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Goren
agreed to the prohibition of entering the Temple Mount, but this is
not true. In the introduction to his book, he wrote: "During my tenure
as Chief Rabbi of Israel, I brought a proposal to the Council of the
Chief Rabbinate to remove the signs banning entrance to the Temple
Mount as determined by the previous Chief Rabbis. Because there were a
few members on the Council who had signed on the ban at the time, they
requested delaying the decision to remove the signs prohibiting going
up to Har Habayit until after I published the book ..." For various
reasons, the books' publication was delayed, and the signs remained in
place, "which, in effect, led to the handing over of Har Habayit to
the Muslim Waqf" (ibid pg. 35).

Desecration of the Holy

Moreover, he wrote: "This shameful situation, where under Israeli rule
a Jew does not have the right to pray on the mountain of God, cannot
be tolerated under any circumstances. The debate over where it is
permitted according to Jewish law to go on the Temple Mount, or where
it is forbidden, has nothing to do with the government ... These
sacred places are not the private property of the Muslim Waqf, whose
members have always been a source of bitterness and poison for the
Jews, with their incitement from within the mosques on the Temple
Mount to slaughter the Jews... had they closed the Temple Mount to
Jews and non-Jews alike, I would have kept quiet, but to allow the
Arabs to do there as they please while Jews are forbidden to even open
up a Book of Psalms and pour out their hearts before the Creator of
the world - this is a religious, historical, and legal scandal -
nothing short of blasphemy! "(pg. 41).

He further added (pg. 42) that by abstaining from going up to the
Temple Mount, the Torah prohibition of 'lo techonem' ('nor be gracious
to them'), which may also be rendered 'do not allow them to settle on
the soil' (Avoda Zara 20a) is transgressed, seeing as the poskim
(Jewish law arbiters) have already established that the loss of
sovereignty is similar to destruction (B.Y. and M.A., O.C. 561:1).
Thus, when the government forbids Jews to go up freely, it destroys
the place of our Holy Temple yet again.

The Words of Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook

Our teacher and guide, Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah HaKohen Kook, agreed with
the poskim who prohibited going up to Har Habayit. But in my humble
opinion, it seems that had he known that the over- cautiousness of
going up to Har Habayit would result in the loss of sovereignty and
turning the Temple Mount into a focal point of hatred against Israel -
he would have agreed with Rabbi Goren that it is permitted and a
mitzvah to go up. In addition, in my humble opinion, he would have
trusted Rabbi Goren's halakhic inquiries in regards to the areas
permitted to enter.

Blessed are Those Who Ascend the Temple Mount

The continuation of the disgraceful situation on the Temple Mount
brings our enemies hope, and motivates them to kill and riot
throughout the country. In order to suppress the wave of terrorism and
incitement from its roots, the government and the police must assert
Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount in the most decisive manner.

Blessed are those who go up to Har Habayit, but only if that is done
according to halakha. Thanks to them, our sovereignty over the Temple
Mount and all of the Land of Israel becomes clearer, and precisely as
a result of this, we will merit security and peace.

bs"d Cry No More Yerushalayim. The Terrible Fire in Flatbush that took the lives of 7 Kedoshim Sassoon Family- What was Hashem's message? Yearning for Har HaBayit ....

Updated 7 July 2015, leminyanum

Rabbi Sassoon speaking on 17 Tammuz 5775 July 5, 2015 leminyanum in Brooklyn New York, Mercaz HaSimcha  Lizchus Refuah Shleim Gila bas Francis and Ziporah bas Gila.

When Tragedy Strikes Rabbi: Gabriel Sassoon 56:00 in video http://matzav.com/video-replay-chizuk-from-rabbi-paysach-krohn-rabbi-gavriel-sassoon-and-rabbi-noach-orlowek/

Rabbi Aaron Mandel 54:00 reminding us that on 17 Tammuz the Korban Tamid was stopped, mevatel, and why was it a tragedy?  Gemora says in talking about the Churban that if the Nations would understand the Brachos the world receives from the Beis HaMikdash and from the Korbonos they would send legions of troops to guard the Beis Hamikdash...

(Surely the Kapora would not have to be via human sacrifices. Robin)

Rabbi Gabriel Sassoon 56:00 in spite of his own personal tragedy (that was deeply felt by Am Yisroel), reminds us that HKBH is Si HaChesed and Si HaRachamim and this is his response from his personal sacrifice!

Please Hashem, with that strength of conviction, may we too learn how to embrace whatever Hashem has allotted for us and declare that Hashem is Si HaChesed and Si Ha Rachamim and in that Zechus surely Hashem will speedily sent us Moshiach and may we rebuild the Beit Hamikdash Vesham Naavodcha Kimei Olam Ucheshanim Kadmaniyot so we may not know of such sorrow nor cry no more....

7 SIBLINGS FROM ORTHODOX JEWISH FAMILY KILLED IN BROOKLYN FIRE LAID TO REST IN ISRAEL
http://7online.com/news/7-siblings-killed-in-brooklyn-fire-laid-to-rest-in-israel/567560/

I listened to Radio Hihdabroot and listened to Rabbi Wallerstein trying to make some sense about the terrible tragedy, the horrendous fire that took the lives of 7 kids of the Sassoon family leaving the mother and a 14 year old daughter in critical and serious condition.  He noted that the tragedy took place on Shabbos, in the wee hours of the morning by a defective Shabbos hot plate.  Rabbi Wallerstein asked...Is Hashem merely trying to impress upon us to be careful about having smoke detectors on every floor.  Wouldn't that message been conveyed to us in a less harsh manner, like the injury of maybe one child. Did He really need to take 7 children to teach us?  No decree can happen without the stamp of the Almighty.  Or perhaps we can say that we need to make sure to use a better quality hot plate.  But again that is a mere detail. Surely, Hashem didn't have to take the lives of 7 beautiful children to teach us this lesson. And why did the tragedy occur in the form of a tremendous fire. Surely the commandment Lo Sivaaru Eish, do not light a fire is very much related to Shabbath as well.    Rabbi Wallerstein quoted a Zohar that stated that when a tragedy of such proportion strikes it is a reflection of the entire community.  In this case the local community is the Flatbush  Midwood community, not far from Rabbi Wallerstein or for that matter Marine Park where I personally live.  (HaMakom Sheli hu Eretz Yisroel. Kol Asher ANi Nosea, Ani Nosea LeEretz Yisroel, yes even though I physically live in Marine Park Brooklyn, my place is Eretz Yisroel and my travels are all for Eretz Yisroel)  This tragedy was felt in Israel in the community of Har Nof an the Levaya, the funeral, took place in Israel in Har Menuchot.  The Prime Minister himself Benjamin Netanyahu sent his personal condolences....

A side note....I was thinking to myself after hearing about this beautiful family, a family who had come from Har Nof, a family whose children have a reputation of sterling Middos, that surely we should be extremely concerned because if they were meted out for such harsh decrees than surely the rest of us should be very worried. In fact the father Rabbi Gavriel Sassoonn attests to the pure Neshomas of his children.  He compared them to roses in their height of beauty whereby G-d plucked them precisely at the right time before their beautify fades.  They are a picture of a model family whose spiritual level is one we all admire and aspire to attain.  and yet this tragedy happened to them!  What do the rest of us have in store?   How can this not cause us to look inward and tell ourselves this is a wakeup call for all of us and they must have been the sacrificial lambs so that this tragedy, as terrible as it was,  was not worse, chas veshalom,  happening to the rest of us.  In fact this tragedy happened on the same day Nadav and Avihu's lives tragically ended on the most joyous day, the inauguration of the Mishkan. In Parshat Shmini Moshe Rabbeinu consoles Aharan his brother with this idea.  Then Moshe said unto Aharon, “This is what God said, saying, ‘Through those close to Me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified’.” Vayidom Aharon—And Aharon remained silent. (Vayikra 10:3)

Going back to Rabbi Wallerstein's analysis.  He said that one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to conclude that Hashem is not trying to teach us merely to get smoke detectors on every floor, which we should of course, but to send us a message that our observance of Shabbos is somehow lacking.  Rabbi Wallerstein said he is not quite sure of what Hashem was trying to tell us but he did bring up the fact that the community is desensitized to the growing phenomenon of kids Off the Derech who are smoking on Shabbos  and texting and  violating Shabbos and we merely tell them, don't do it near our building.

He related the story of the Chofetz Chaim who met an individual who admitted that he smoked a cigarette on Shabbos. The Chofetz Chaim then asked him, which hand did you smoke  from. The individual showed him the hand. The Chofetz Chaim was so grieved that this individual has desecrated the Holy Shabbath that the tears started rolling down his face onto the person's hand.  That individual experienced the deep pain of the Chofetz Chaim and refrained from ever desecrating the Shabbos again.

But I think the message about Shabbos was not only referring to the Shabbos the day of rest but also to Shabbath HaAretz. The Sabbatica Year,  The Shemittah year.

I also think that it was no coincidence that this family came from Har Nof.

Perhaps there were those in Har Nof who experienced the recent massacre and would consider moving to Flatbush like the Sassoon's where they might consider themselves safer.  Maybe Hashem is telling them, no.  Don't even think that.  Eretz Yisroel is no less safe...In fact, those that passed away in the massacre,  died al Kiddush Hashem.  If it's meant to happen it will happen anywhere.....

The father, Rav Gavriel Sassoon responded similarly to the parents of the 3 boys were were kidnapped and murdered this past summer hy"d. Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Sha'er and Naftali Frenkel.  There was total acceptance of G-d's decree with a call for unity of Am Yisroel.  His reaction mirrored the response of Aharon Kohen Gadol when he found out about the tragic death of this two precious sons Nadav and Avihu.  Rabbi Wallerstein made this comparison. VaYidom Aharon.  Aharon was silent.  In fact, someone in the audience of Rabbi Wallerstein's lecture, remarked that the fire in Flatbush happened on Rosh Chodesh Nissan the exact yahrzeit of the death of Aharon Hakohen's two sons Nadav and Avihu.  Wow! Look at Rashi. This can not be coincidence.   Hashem rewards Aharon by speaking to him directly, with the laws of the Kohanim regarding the prohibition of a Kohen of not being intoxicated when doing the Avoda, the Temple Service .   In the Father's eulogy, he mentions that this tragedy happened on Rosh Chodesh and compared his personal sacrifice of his family to the communal sacrifice brought on Rosh Chodesh.

This tragedy happened Parshat Vayikra, a Parsha dealing with Korbanot.

Human Sacrifices.....I can not help but conclude that Hashem is telling us the following.

It is now  before Pesach.  Yetziat Mitzraim.  Hashem does not want human sacrifices.  BeDamayich Chayii is with the Korban Pesach and with the Dam of Brit Mila!  However, perhaps, when we reject Hashem's gift to us, and refrain from keeping the Mitzva of Korban Pesach by withholding our claim to Har Habayit and going so far as to giving the keys to the Waqf, and now once again not publicly proclaiming our rights to Har Habayit in the face of universal accusations of illegal Occupation, Hashem is upset with us.  This apparently is consistent with the opinion of the Lubavitcher Rebbe after the 1967 war to be obligated in Korban Pesach.  If we fail to bring Korban Pesach than the alternative is Chas Veshalom Human....

Bamidbar - Numbers - Chapter 28
11: And on the beginning of your months, you shall offer up a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in the first year, [all] unblemished.

As I mentioned, in his eulogy the Father of the children, compared his loss to the Sacrifice, Korban Tzibur, Olah (burnt completely) brought on Rosh Chodesh.  They perished on Rosh Chodesh Nissan..  2 Bulls were compared to him and his wife, the ram to his daughter Tziporah who survived but is in critical condition, and the 7 children who died,  to 7 unblemished, sacrificial lambs burnt completely.
Please visit this post for a further discussion.
Har Habayit - Har Nof Massacre Human Sacrifices - Korban Pesach in our days.. Time to reconsider....put an end to Human Sacrifices....Please Hashem....

Our Teshuva - The Children in a recording this past Chanuka, a Holiday for the commemoration of the Holy Temple sing with yearning for the Beit Hamikdash and to return to the Mountain of Hashem.  Listen to their recording and one can not help but cry. "Cry No More Yerushalyim". Surely we must hear Hashem's message to all of us "Yearn for Har HaBayit and the return of the Avoda".  A family that comes from Har Nof.....

Oy for The Covenant Hashem made with our Forefathers Avraham, Yitzchok and Yaakov.  An everlasting Covenant.  Yet our Gedoilim discouraged ascent to Har Habayit and even discouraged publicly claiming our rights to Har Habayit.  We can become close to Hashem in our synagogues they advised us, the people.

We have been advised that we might cause serious danger to ourselves if we accidentally do not show the proper respect to Har Habayit.  Surely there is truth in that but there is surely truth and balance in trying very hard to keep the proper halachot without negating it entirely.

Hashem sent us a bitter pill to swallow at a Vasikin minyan in the heart of Har Nof, surely not a minyan of shmoozers.

Nadav and Avihu were perhaps too zealous to do the Avoda.  But would Moshe respond by advising Aharon to stop the Avoda because there is danger he might transgress.  The opposite.  Aharon and his two remaining songs were  to complete the Avoda and suspend public mourning for his 2 Holy sons.

Maybe this is Hashem's message to us before Pesach.  Speak out forthright for our Covenant.  Bibi, don't flip flop regarding a Palestinian State to the likes of Obama or the EU/  Stay true to our Jewish Heritage.  Har Habayit is not only meant for the Jewish People.  The Temple Mount is Universal, The Place where Torah enlightens the world and where the entire Universe streams to Pay Tribute to the G-d of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, The Universal   G-d that speaks to all Noahides, for Peace and Truth and Justice for humanity.

A plan of action for the Temple Mount.

Dear Rabbanim,

I posted a new petition aimed at the Israeli Minister of Internal Security Yitzchak Aharonovitch who is in charge of the anti-Jewish policies on Har HaBayit. It seems that we now have an address to turn to, which means that we must put tremendous pressure on him.

The idea is to collect 100,000 (hopefully more) signatures on this petition and we will release it to the media the week before Abbas address the UN. The address is scheduled to take place on September 22nd or 23rd. We will release the petition along with statements from Rabbanim and local Jewish leaders and hopefully create a fire storm ahead of the Pali speech and vote.

If both the The American Board Of Rabbis/Vaad HaRabbonim Of AmericaThe Rabbinical Alliance of America / Igud Horabbonim and the World Committee for the Land of Israel could promote the petition and urge the Jewish community to take other actions as well. I think it would make a big impact.

I have a suggestion:

Organize a joint press conference with the Igud, Vad and Committee and any Jewish organization that is willing to participate. I should mention there is a major Har HaBayit/ Mikdash dinner conference here in Israel on the 18th of September – 19th of Elul and I am including the flyer as an attachment. Perhaps we could organize a live hookup with the conference in Israel and  Press conference in the US.

The press conference would declare and make the following demands:

  • ·         The unity between Har HaBayit and Am Yisrael
  • ·          The Israeli Government namely Minister of Internal Security Yitzchak Aharonovitch immediately allow for both Jewish Prayer on the Mount
  • ·         The Israeli Government must allow for the reinstitution of the Korban Pesach, starting this year

If the Israeli Government refuses these demands, the following repercussions:

  • ·         Israeli Consulates the Embassy in the US will face ongoing protests
  • ·         Israeli Diplomats will be boycotted and protested at every public and private event
  • ·         The Jewish community will begin sending financial and other aid to Har Habayit activists on the ground in Israel

There is a Halachcic debates as if it is permitted to ascend Har HaBayit in our times, there are major poskim on both sides. What is clear however it is not the place of a secular almost anti-Jewish government to be persecuting Jews who ascend Har Habayit according to Halacha.  It is the obligation of every Jew who cares about the honor of Hashem and the Torah to raise his voice and not be still.

I want to end with a story:

When Ehud Barak went to Camp David, Arafat turned to him and asked why Israel needed sovereignty over the Temple Mount, when there is not a single Jewish structure or activity there. Ehud Barak did not give an immediate response and called the head of the Secret Service who was Avi Dichter to see if he had any case. Avi Dichter told him that there is one Rabbi who takes his students up to the Temple Mount once a week. With that information Barak went back into the negotiating room and stated that Israel could not hand over the Temple Mount because indeed Jews make pilgrimage every week to the site. That was the last straw, which broke down the negotiations and thus saved Israel from itself. This story was told to me by HaRav Yosef Elbaum , head of HaTenua Lekinun HaMikdash (Organization for Temple Renewal), Dichter had called him and revealed this to him.

The lesson is clear, the Temple Mount is the key issue, it makes no sense to throw away the gift (Temple Mount) and demand to keep the wrapper (Jerusalem). It is a package and everyone knows it. As you know there has been a very clear Israeli policy, which damages not only Jewish personal rights, but our national right to Jerusalem on the whole.

This is more or less the situation on the Mount today:

·         Only Jews have restricted visitation times on the mount 4 hours a day, Monday -Thursday. The mount is closed to Jews on Friday, Saturday all Muslim holidays and even Jewish holidays that coincide with Muslim holidays.

·         Only Jews are forced to wait an extended period of time before being allowed through security. Only Jews are forced to present their ID's to the police.

·         Only Jews are followed and harassed by Israeli police and Muslim Wakf guards throughout the entire visit on the Mount.

·         Only Jews are arrested for crimes such as prayer, closing eyes, bowing down or singing.

·         The Prime Minister of Israel has failed to include the Temple Mount in his own "Heritage Plan," among those sites of historical, cultural and religious significance to the Jewish people, to receive enhanced government budgeting for the improvement of access, upkeep, and beautification of the sites.

The Mount has completely been abandoned to the Muslim Authorities and is used by Muslims for the following dangerous, destructive and disrespectful activities:

·   Illegal digs causing unparalleled destruction of Temple antiquities and the historical Jewish presence on the Mount.

·  The turing of the Temple Mount into a recreation center; Muslim soccer games and picnics are frequent on the Mount

·   Endless incitement against the Jewish State and Nation from within the Mosques.

·   Physical attacks against Jews on the Mount and down below at the Western Wall

The future of the Mount is in our hands!

        To: Yitzchak Aharonovitch
      Minister of Internal Security
      Government of Israel

Jewish Rights on the Temple Mount:

The Temple Mount is the holiest place in the world to the Jewish people; yet Jews are denied the right to pray in groups, and even as individuals; this refusal is accompanied by their constant degradation, and they are granted no opportunity for any religious expression whatsoever on the Temple Mount.

It is our position that if the stature of the Jews on the Temple Mount were to change positively, in a manner that would reflect their status as law-abiding citizens, sons of the nation that is sovereign on the Mountain and as people who have basic human rights in the Jewish state, then the standing of the State of Israel would immediately improve. This would effect a positive change for the benefit and security of all its citizens.

We demand that the Government of Israel grant the Jewish people freedom of religious expression on the Temple Mount. Additionally, the government must establish special fixed days for Jewish communal prayer in fixed locations on the Temple Mount. This move will serve as evidence of Jewish sovereignty on the Mount and the protection of freedom of religion for all.

*The Three Pilgrimage Festivals of Israel which are Sukkot, Pesach and Shavuot.

* The 14th of Nisan, the eve of Passover, is the day on which our holy Torah obligates each Jew to bring the Passover offering (it should be noted that this right has already been recognized by Israel's High Court of Justice, #2955/07 ).

* Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur

* The eight days of Chanukah

* The Three Fast Days of the 10th of Tevet, the 17th of Tammuz and the 9th of Av

* Israel Independence Day and Jerusalem Day

* The Hakhel Ceremony at the conclusion of the Sabbatical Year

This will serve as a preliminary step in confirming the Jewish people's inexorable connection with the Temple Mount, location of the Holy Temple, under the sovereignty of the people of Israel. However, let it be known that the Jewish people will never accept the total refusal of Jewish communal prayer on the Mountain.

Sincerely,
