Letter to Agudah regarding NY Elections. Can Agudah openly endorse Bruce Blakeman over Kathy Hochul? They endorsed Adams in the past. Kathy Hochul's Policies Violate the 7 Noahide Laws and Literally Endangers Israel.

אל המקום אשר....

Not too late! Can Agudah endorse Bruce Blakeman over Kathy Hochul? Agudah endorsed Adams in the past so when it's important they do so.

Dear Agudath Israel Team,

I am writing to express my concerns regarding leadership engagement, and requesting political endorsements in the upcoming election.

We would like Agudah to take the leadership role to endorse Bruce Blakeman and to encourage every Rabbi and Shul to endorse Bruce Blakeman and to encourage every Yeshiva to send a letter to the parents before Shabbat, endorsing Bruce Blakeman. What an opportunity for a tremendous Kiddush Hashem!!!

While I understand the gratitude to Governor Kathy Hochul for specific legislative achievements, such as tax credits, I strongly urge Agudath Israel to reconsider any perceived support for Governor Kathy Hochul. Her administration’s positions on several key policy issues—include being a safe haven for LGBTQ legislation, her administration strongly support of abortion rights, her administration passed the NY State Medical Aid in Dying Act, and she openly supports  a Palestinian state.

All these stand in contrast to the 7 Noahide Laws, Torah values and puts New Yorkers in physical and spiritual dangers as well as the State of Israel in physical and spiritual Danger.

Given candidate Bruce Blakeman’s alignment with policies that support Torah values, I urge Agudath Israel and local leadership to take a clear stance in his favor. Standing firm on core religious values brings honor to our community and serves the best interests of Klal Yisroel.

Thank you for your time, leadership, and continued dedication to our community

Concern: There is a nice photo op on Agudah's website thanking Kathy Hochul for Tax Credits and this can be interpreted as an endorsement in light of a void.

By not endorsing any candidate, it is understood to mean being complicit to Kathy Hochul's policies.

Endorsing Bruce Blakeman will clarify the matter.

Here are some facts:

- Kathy Hochul endorsed Mamdani. Madani's wife celebrated October 7th. Mamdani defended his wife and said she has "incredible integrity".

- Governor Kathy Hochul positions New York as a national safe haven for LGBTQ+ and TGNCNB (transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming) individuals through key legislative actions, funding commitments, and public proclamations

- New York Governor Kathy Hochul strongly supports abortion rights and has established New York as a legal safe haven for reproductive healthcare.

- New York's Medical Aid in Dying Act, signed by Governor Kathy Hochul on February 6, 2026, officially took effect on August 5, 2026.

- Governor Hochul is a long time supporter of a Palestinian State.

In an interview with Politico, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said governing the state would be a lot easier if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu loses his election. 🤬

In this interview (see a minute in, she openly states her support for a "safe Palestinian State that she has talked about her entire life".

Agudah understands that this viewpoint is not consistent with Torah.

Rabbi Gurell voted early. Have you?

Early voting is underway across New York State, and there's no reason to wait until Election Day!

Voting early is quick, easy, and convenient. Skip the Election Day rush and cast your ballot at a time that works best for you.

With so many competitive elections across New York State this year, every single vote matters. Our community's voice is strongest when we all do our part and show up at the polls.

Watch Rabbi Gurell's message after casting his ballot!.

Early voting continues through Sunday, November 1, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Don't wait until Election Day. Vote early and make your voice heard!
