Just hours after the tomb of Eleazar the Priest (Elazar HaKohen) was set ablaze by terrorists in the village of Awarta, pioneers from the Bnei Aharon Farm—who had previously paved the way for prayers at the site—arrived alongside Netanel Snir, Chairman of the Administration for Holy Sites, to renovate the charred tomb.

Joining the volunteers was Yossi Dagan, Head of the Regional Council. This marked his first visit to the site since the Bnei Aharon Farm group secured open access to it about three months ago. Prior to that, entry to the tomb was permitted only at night, in small groups, and under heavy military escort.

It should be noted that despite clear footage released on Telegram channels by Arabs from the village of Awarta—in which they boast about burning the holy site—the IDF took no action against the village, which is home to the terrorists. Furthermore, the media did not label the incident a "hate crime," and the Judea and Samaria District Police (Yamar Shai) did not launch an investigation. Ultimately, this is not a Muslim mosque, but a site sacred to the Jewish people. The terrorist village of Awarta has been the source of numerous attacks over the years—among them the brutal attack in Itamar, in which members of the Fogel family were murdered (may God avenge their blood).

שעות ספורות לאחר הצתת ציון אלעזר הכהן על ידי מחבלים בכפר עוורתא, חלוצי חוות בני אהרון שפרצו את הדרך לתפילות בקבר אלעזר, יחד עם נתנאל שניר, יו"ר מנהלת המקומות הקדושים - הגיעו לשפץ מחדש את הציון השרוף.

אל המתנדבים הצטרף גם ראש המועצה יוסי דגן, שזהו ביקורו הראשון בציון מאז נפרצה הכניסה החופשית על ידי חוות בני אהרון לפני כשלושה חודשים. עד אז, הכניסה לציון הייתה אפשרית רק בשעות הלילה ורק בקבוצות מצומצמות, תחת אבטחה צבאית כבדה.

נזכיר כי על אף התיעוד הברור שפרסמו הערבים מהכפר עוורתא בערוצי הטלגרם, בו הם מתגאים בשריפת הציון הקדוש, בצה"ל לא פעלו כלל נגד כפר המחבלים, ובתקשורת לא דווח על "פשע שנאה". כמו כן, שוטרי ימ"ר ש"י לא פתחו בחקירה. בסופו של דבר לא מדובר במסגד מוסלמי, אלא במקום שקדוש ליהודים.

כפר המחבלים עוורתא הוציא מתוכו פיגועים רבים לאורך השנים, אחד מהם הוא הפיגוע האכזרי באיתמר, בו נרצחו בני משפחת פוגל הי"ד.
