*Last night, Palestinian Authority police officers attacked an IDF reserve soldier near Beitunia and abducted him to Ramallah.*
Honenu Attorney Chaim Bleicher sent a letter on the soldier’s behalf to Defense Minister Katz and Central Command Major General Bluth, demanding the officers’ arrest.
*The letter states that the soldier was driving from Gush Talmonim toward Route 443 when PA police blocked the road, surrounded his vehicle, then beat him and sprayed pepper spray directly in his face.* *They dragged him from his car, handcuffed him, and drove him to a police station in central Ramallah before handing him over to IDF forces about an hour later.* *He sustained bruises and a facial burn.*
*Attorney Bleicher described the serious incident in which armed PA officers illegally entered Area C, endangering security and undermining IDF sovereignty.* He called for the officers’ prompt arrest and for measures to secure the road for Jewish traffic and prevent armed enemy forces from entering areas under IDF control.
