Until the Hearts and Minds of the People of Israel Return to G-d and Torah without being a Slave to Foreign influence, we can not truly be Free and a Sovereign Nation.
America, under the influence of Democratic National Socialist, or Leadership based on Greed and personal Honor will fall apart and disintegrate, once they part from the Vision of the Founding Fathers that made America what it is based on One Nation under G-d with Liberty and Justice for all.
The Secular State of Israel, on the other hand has still yet to declare true Sovereigny based on Torah. This idea was expressed in HaKol Hayehudi.

A Jewish state cannot be based solely on a political majority, but needs a "covenant" - a public that jointly undertakes to establish a state whose purpose for public life is the Torah. The first step on the path to a covenant is to develop a consciousness of a right to a Jewish state, even before discussing what can be promoted in the Knesset.
The right of the people of Israel to the Land of Israel stems from the Bible and from the covenant with God. The land was not given to the people of Israel as private property for free use, but for a purpose: establishing a national life oriented to the Torah. Therefore, a state that separates Jewish sovereignty from the Torah is not just an alternative cultural choice, but an exercise of the right to the land against the purpose by virtue of which it was given.
Why is the consciousness of the right important from a public perspective? A group that sees a Jewish state as only a political will always depends on the number of mandates, on polls, and on the will of the majority; when it has no chance of winning, even the association around the consciousness loses meaning. On the other hand, those who see a Jewish state as a just right that does not depend on the majority can unite around it as a minority. This is how an extra-parliamentary alliance is created: not a party created from public opinion, but a public that seeks to create public opinion and a new-old constitutive story.
The consciousness of right also creates freedom in relation to the existing system: the laws of the state are not necessarily the upper limit of justice and authority, because the right to the land and the Torah precede the state. This does not mean irresponsible disregard for the state, but an obligation to exercise independent judgment - as was expressed, for example, in the debate over the refusal of an ordinance in Gush Katif.
