Tenth destruction in the Settlements points in the past week: Two days before the Shloshim of the murder of Benyahu Melat Hy"d , large forces of the Border Police and the Civil Administration raided the settlement point 'Kfar Ro'im' near the settlement of Emanuel last night, carried out extensive destruction at the site and confiscated a flock of sheep and an agricultural tractor.

The sheep were loaded one by one onto the confiscation cart, and were taken from the site in deplorable conditions. Dozens of residents who arrived at the Yakir settlement junction to protest against the destruction and try to prevent the confiscation of the flock were met with police violence by Border Police officers who threw tear gas and stun grenades at them.  The demolition was carried out on the orders of the commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Kobi Heller, who imposed a closed military area order for a month in an attempt to prevent a Jewish presence there.

Benayahu planned to establish the settlement point that interrupts a dangerous Arab territorial continuity from Nablus to Salfit during his lifetime and even discussed it with activists a day before the attack. Now, after his murder, his friends have gone to the ground and driven a stake into the area in fulfillment of the will he left behind.

Tonight's demolition joins no fewer than nine evictions and demolitions that took place at settlement points in Judea and Samaria in the past week, which included the destruction of family homes and the confiscation of equipment. Activists in the field testify that this is an unprecedented surge, even in comparison to previous months, when there was a drastic increase in the scope of demolition events compared to last year.

הרס עשירי בהתיישבות בשבוע האחרון: יומיים לפני מלאות ה30 לרצח בניהו מלט הי"ד, פשטו הלילה כוחות גדולים של מג"ב ומנהל אזרחי על נקודת ההתיישבות 'כפר רועים' הסמוכה לישוב עמנואל, ביצעו הרס נרחב במקום והחרימו עדר צאן וטרקטור חקלאי.

הכבשים הועלו בזו אחר זו על עגלת ההחרמות, והובלו מן המקום בתנאים מחפירים. עשרות תושבים שהגיעו לצומת הישוב יקיר כדי למחות כנגד ההרס ולנסות למנוע את החרמת העדר, נתקלו באלימות משטרתית מצד שוטרי המג"ב שהשליכו לעברם רימוני גז והלם. ההרס בוצע בהוראתו של מפקד אוגדת איו"ש קובי הלר, שהטיל צו שטח צבאי סגור לחודש ימים בניסיון למנוע נוכחות יהודית במקום.

את נקודת ההתיישבות שקוטעת רצף טריטוריאלי ערבי מסוכן משכם לסלפית - תכנן בניהו הי"ד להקים עוד בחייו ואף שוחח על כך עם פעילים יממה לפני הפיגוע. כעת לאחר הירצחו עלו חבריו לקרקע ותקעו יתד בשטח כמילוי הצוואה שהותיר אחריו.

ההרס הלילה מצטרף ללא פחות מתשעה פינויים והריסות שהתרחשו בנקודות ההתיישבות ביהודה ושומרון בשבוע האחרון, שכללו הרס בתי משפחות והחרמות ציוד. פעילים בשטח מעידים כי מדובר בזינוק חסר תקדים, גם ביחס לחודשים עברו בהם נרשמה עלייה דרסטית בהיקף אירועי ההרס לעומת השנה שעברה.
