To stop receiving this newsletter/bulletin simply reply with "UNSUBSCRIBE" Annexation Requires No Knesset Involvement More than a thousand members of Israel's ruling Likud central committee called unanimously on the party's leaders Sunday night to "exercise Israel's sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley" and remove restrictions on new construction. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who is head of Likud, was conspicuously absent. A source close to him said he is not bound by the vote. (Democracy and the rights of Jewish people over the Jewish land must prevail – There must be life after Netanyahu!) Dr. Aaron Lerner, director of the Independent Media Review Analysis (IMRA), pointed out this weekend in a "technical note" that he sent out as part of his regular bulletin that annexation actually requires no legislation at all - just a simple government vote. "To be clear: 1. Annexation does not require a legislative process. No Knesset involvement whatsoever. 2. Annexation can be carried out literally in moments. A telephone vote of the ministers would suffice. 3. The most hyperactive Supreme Court possible would still be unable to come up with grounds to rule against the move. Here's the law: Ordinance Law and Administration, 1948, 11B; The law, jurisdiction and administration of the State shall apply to any area of the Land of Israel that the Government sets in an order. That's it. Just one sentence long. No wiggle room there." Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak Shamrak Report is Independent Weekly Editorial. Why did It Take 10 Years? Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, calls them 'infiltrators'! The Israeli government has ordered thousands of African refugees and migrants to leave the country within three months or face prison. Those who leave by the end of March will be given $3,500, along with money to cover their airfare. It's estimated that 27,500 asylum seekers from Eritrea are living in Israel, along with 7,900 from Sudan and 2,600 from other African countries. Retaliation 'Gestures' do not Work The Israeli military said tanks and aircraft fired at Hamas posts soon after its Iron Dome missile defense system downed two rockets fired from Gaza targeting the south of the country. A Gaza rocket barrage appears to target the ceremony for a captured soldier. Police said another rocket exploded in a populated area. The Retaliation caused no casualties! (No wonder rockets continue to fly from Gaza!) Nobody Cares about 'Palestinians' Anymore Abbas is left with an empty diplomatic toolbox. While he declares that he wants negotiations brokered by a different mediator - the Europeans or the Russians - and wants to create more international pressure on Israel, he knows that another United Nations discussion and another General Assembly resolution will only provide him with a worthless symbolic victory, which definitely won't bring the Palestinians closer to a state. Europe has its own problems and is incapable of imposing terms for peace negotiations and setting them in motion, and the Palestinians definitely can't rely on the Arab states, especially now. No construction on 3,000 housing units The Israeli government approved or advanced thousands of building plans for Judea and Samaria over the course of 2017. But only a few dozen units have been built so far, and officials in Judea and Samaria fear that the construction freeze will continue into 2018. Sources in the Prime Minister's Office said yesterday that Netanyahu had given all the necessary permits to market 3,034 housing units, saying that "the marketing of the units was done by the Housing Ministry and the Israel Lands Authority. (Passing the buck, with no responsibility! Bibi makes good speeches and looks nice on TV, but act as a wimp on real issues of Israel independence!) Get Lost UNESCOIsrael has formally notified the UN's culture and education body of its withdrawal from the organization, two months after it announced it would follow the US by walking out over resolutions critical of the Jewish state. UNESCO chief confirms she received Israel's letter of withdrawal from the organization. Israel will leave on December 31, 2018. (What is Next? Leave UNHCR or say "good bye" to 'Ugly Nazi'!) India harshly protested to the Palestinian Authority Friday, after the Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan shared a stage in a rally held in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi with leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization and mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. (After India voted against Israel, the Palestinian Authority stands with India's enemies. Ironic, isn't it?) Bribing International Indecency After decades in which Israel has been suffering defeat after defeat at the international arena, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to launch a fund that would invest $50 million in countries that support Israel, Channel 2 News reported Wednesday. The new launch comes following Guatemala's vote against the anti-US, anti-Israel vote at the UN Assembly last week. Guatemala enjoys broad US foreign aid and good commercial relations with Israel. US and Israel Deal to Counter Iran Israel and the United States signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate to counter the Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile threat. The agreement follows US President Donald Trump's speech on October 13 in which he decertified the 2015 Iran nuclear deal signed by his predecessor, Barack Obama. Israeli officials said that the agreement showed that the US and Israel "see eye to eye on the trends and processes in the region." Get the Legal Terminology Right! US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman recently asked the US State Department to cease using the term 'occupation' to describe Israel's presence in Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem. "I think that was always the expectation when Resolution 242 was adopted in 1967. It remains today the only substantive resolution that was agreed to by everybody," he added. The State Department objected to the request, but eventually agreed to discuss the matter. Friedman also said that the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria have an "important nationalistic, historical, religious significance" and added, "I think the settlers view themselves as Israelis and Israel views the settlers as Israelis." Jerusalem will Remain Jewish & United Lawmakers passed, in a 64-52 vote, Unified Jerusalem Law, amending Basic Law so any change to capital will require 80 MKs, a supermajority to relinquish control over any part of Jerusalem, to apply in cases of political or peace agreements. The US will cut its 2018 contribution to the United Nations by $285 million - nearly 25 percent! Ambassador Nikki Haley made the announcement, but specifically blamed the world body for its budgetary excesses without making a specific reference to last week's vote on President Donald Trump's controversial Jerusalem decision. There might be further budget cuts to the UN climate change programs and UNICEF. (At last, the US has a president who does what he said - the one we can trust!) The PA asks Israel to increase power supply to Gaza after rocket attacks. The request came on a day in which Gaza terrorists launched three separate mortar and rocket attacks on Jewish communities in southern Israel — the fourth attack this week. It also comes one day after the Palestinian Authority claimed the 'Unified Jerusalem' law passed this week by the Knesset was a "declaration of war" (The PA wants to reward Hamas for attacking Israel, using the enemy's electricity – isn't that a bit odd? Israel must wage war against its enemies seriously!) President Jimmy Morales of Guatemala announced the decision that he will move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, becoming the first nation to follow President Trump's lead in ordering the change. (The race is on!) Removal of Enemies from Jewish Land is On! The ministerial committee on legislation voted Sunday to advance a bill that would permit the minister of interior to remove the permanent residency status of Palestinian terrorists living in Jerusalem or the Golan. The bill, sponsored by Likud MK Amir Ohana, would apply to Jerusalem or Golan residents involved in terrorism or who have been involved in terrorist activity. After Jerusalem defeat at UN General Assembly, US President tweets it is time to start focusing funds on rebuilding America. Donald Trump said that it is time to focus funds on the US rather than foreign spending, tweeting: "After having foolishly spent $7 trillion in the Middle East, it is time to start rebuilding our country!" (A billion can be saved immediately, by stopping aid to the PA, Egypt, Iraq and Turkey!) Shin Bet Stopped 400 Hamas Attacks The head of the Shin Bet security service, Nadav Argaman, told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee "This year we thwarted 400 significant attacks, including 13 suicide attacks, eight kidnapping attempts, and 94 martyrdom attacks. We have thwarted 1,100 potential attacks by isolated terrorists, while 54 attacks by lone terrorists have succeeded this year, compared to 108 last year." (This is a real picture of peace in Israel!) Danish Foreign Ministry decides to stop funding for 14 Palestinian organizations in the wake of an internal investigation that found these groups used the money to promote terrorism and the boycott against Israel. According to Israel's Strategic Affairs Ministry, the Secretariat funds many Palestinian organizations that promote the de-legitimization of Israel as well as boycotts against it. Some of these NGOs. Israel Slams India for UN VoteIsrael has protested to the government of India over the Delhi government's support of the recent ant-Israel motion at the United Nations General Assembly. On Twitter, Indian citizens fumed at their government's decision to vote against Israel, Mida reported. "This isn't why we voted for you," the site quoted one person as tweeting. "Don't expect help from Israel after you betrayed them," another Indian tweeted. (India is not a reliable friend of Israel. Facing threats from Pakistan and China, it benefits from 'Jewish' help, but still sides with the enemies!) QUOTE of the WEEK: "Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel." - Yasser Arafat, on the same day he signed the Declaration of Principles on the White House lawn in 1993. Has UNRWA Committed Genocide of 'Palestinians'? The results of a first-ever official census of "Palestinian" refugees taken in Lebanon were released Thursday, with a figure drastically below that which is quoted by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, revealed there are 174,422 Palestinians today living in Lebanon. But the official website of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) claims, "Some 450,000 refugees (449,957) are registered with UNRWA in Lebanon, with many living in the country's 12 refugee camps. Misrepresentation of statistics about the number of Arab refugees who fled from Israel's 1948 defensive war of independence who arrived in Lebanon, and their descendants, are not new. In November, even Hamas claimed that some 260,000 Palestinians had left Lebanon over the past few years, seeking better economic and security conditions in other countries. Perhaps some donor countries may want to investigate where all the money they donated to assist 275,535 imaginary Palestinians in Lebanon has been going. Interestingly, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri subsequently called on donor countries, according to a report in Anadolu Agency, to increase their levels of assistance to UNRWA "with a view to meeting refugees' basic needs and ensuring a just solution to their cause." UNRWA defines a Palestinian refugee as any Arab who lived in British Mandatory Palestine between June 1946 and May 1948, and all of their descendants thereafter, regardless of where they were born. This is the only refugee group in the world with such status! Recommend Reading: Modern History of Palestine in Maps The Palestinian Mandate - Legalised Robbery Who are so-called Palestinians?
