Today's must-read op-ed is deservedly getting a lot of attention. It's by former state and federal prosecutor George Perry, writing in the Philadelphia Inquirer about the "Russia collusion" investigation. You remember that, don't you? The media were utterly consumed with claims that Donald Trump was the Siberian Candidate, a tool of Putin installed in the White House through sneaky Russian hacking of files that unfairly exposed the actual collusion between the DNC, the media and the Clinton campaign. The hysteria built all the way to the appointment of a special counsel, despite nobody as yet producing a molecule of evidence.

Louisiana governor credits Trump
Your mom always told you that when you got a scrape, you mustn't pick at it, because then it would get infected. The anti-Trump media has taken this advice to heart, but in reverse, in that whenever Trump responds to any event, every conceivable aspect of his response will be picked at and picked at, obsessively and compulsively, in the hope of actually creating a festering sore where there is none. This at a time that is supposed to be for healing.

This Labor Day Weekend
It's Saturday of the three-day Labor Day weekend, which is normally a slow time for news. Maybe that's why so many stories in the headlines aren't really news at all, but things that haven't happened yet and may not (worries that Trump will end DACA, predictions that Congress will save DACA, a rumor that Trump fired James Comey for failing to clear his name, a prediction that Trump will renege on his $1 million gift to Texas flood victims – all of this is more suited to a Ouija board than a news outlet).

Why I Hope Judge Roy Moore Becomes The Next Senator From Alabama
Frankly, I wasn't planning on making an endorsement in the runoff in the GOP US Senate primary race. I don't have personal relationships with either of the two candidates and neither of them supported me in either of my campaigns for President so I had no political obligation to get involved. I have good friends in Alabama whose support is split between Senator Luther Strange, who was "strangely" appointed to the post by disgraced Governor Robert Bentley who made the appointment just as he was shown the door and resigned from office), and Judge Roy Moore, who is famous for his fights to preserve the display of the 10 Commandments on state property.
