John Bolton's Two State Solution Not Viable. Proposal for a 3 State Solution. Israel, Jordan and Egypt. My Objections to this Proposal and Alternative Proposals in Brainstorming mode!

bs"d

Opening remarks:

No one can deny that John Bolton has been an exceptional friend to Israel and the Jewish People!  He is truly one of the Righteous Gentiles in our Generation! From his perspective his proposal is logical, a great compromise and the best solution given a tough neighborhood.

However, we are coming from a Biblical perspective and it appears that his latest proposal  of a 3 State Solution is simply not consistent with the Bible.

This having been said, John Bolton is to be highly commended for having greatly greatly advanced the debate in a positive direction regarding the ongoing Peace Process.  He has forcefully rejected the Two State Solution. For that we owe him an immense expression of deep gratitude and appreciation.  We know he has the President's ear.  We know he has an open mind and is a seeker of truth. He has been a listening ear to our concerns and we believe he has the best of intentions for America and for Israel and for World Peace in the Middle East.

May G-d Bless the Current Administration and the Advisers to the President of the United States of America with wisdom to lead our Great Nation!

EX-UN ENVOY BOLTON TO JPOST: TRUMP HAS NO CHANCE AT ULTIMATE PEACE DEAL

BY YONAH JEREMY BOB   MAY 29, 2017 20:46
In an exclusive interview with the 'Post' the former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton said: "I don't think the two-state solution is viable anymore."
Bolton said both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority were not viable interlocutors for peace and that any two-state solution would lead to "a terror state or an anarchic state."

Instead, he proposed a threestate solution to include, "giving Gaza to Egypt, dividing up the West Bank – however it would be divided – with those not included in Israel becoming part of Jordan."

The plus for the Palestinians, according to Bolton, would be "two viable economies and a better life day-to-day for Palestinians and their children."

In Response:

Jerusalem Post  Opinion
OUR WORLD: THE LIMITS OF ISRAELI POWER
BY CAROLINE B. GLICK   JUNE 1, 2017
The crowd at the King David responded enthusiastically to Bolton's proposal. This is not surprising.

Caroline Glick writes:
Bolton then turned to his preferred policy for resolving the Palestinian conflict with Israel, which he dubbed "the three-state solution." Under his plan, Egypt and Jordan would work with Israel to solve the Palestinian conflict. Egypt would take over the Gaza Strip and Jordan would negotiate the status of Judea and Samaria with Israel....Bolton noted that if Jordan is responsible for the Palestinians of Judea and Samaria, the issue of Jerusalem will be removed from the equation. After all, if their capital is Amman, Israel has no reason to divide its capital city.

Caroline Glick is favorable to Bolton's vision and apparently according to her Bolton won over most of the people at the King David.  However she herself admits that his proposal is not realistic.  But not for the same reasons I will spell out.

Her reasons are basically because it would be too risky for the Arabs. I assume she is referring to being risky for moderate Arabs like King Hussein of Jordan and Prime Minister Sisi of Egypt. She writes:

Unfortunately, Israel's support for Bolton's plan is irrelevant. Israel is powerless to advance it. Israel cannot convince Arab nations to help it resolve the Palestinian conflict any more than it can convince the PLO to cut a peace deal with it.
Like PLO leaders, the leaders of the Arab world know that they cannot help Israel with the Palestinians.
Doing so would involve disowning the Palestinian narrative.
The Palestinian narrative claims that the Jews of Israel are colonialist interlopers who stole the land from the Palestinians, its rightful owners. The narrative makes no distinction between Tel Aviv and Hebron. All of Israel is a crime against the Arab world. All of Israel is illegitimate.
The overwhelming majority of the Arab world believes the Palestinian narrative. For an Arab leader to walk away from it or even to signal an attenuation of his fealty to it in the interest of regional peace would be the riskiest of moves.

AS Caroline Glick suggests, the root of the problem is the theological debate between the Palestinian narrative and the Jewish Narrative as per who rightly owns the territory which we call Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.
They, the Arabs and Israel's enemies and even some of Israel's allies commonly refer to this territory as "East Jerusalem" and the "West Bank".

The Palestinians claim that we the Jews are Occupying their Palestinian Land. We stole it from them.

Our claim, based on the Torah,  is that the Land belongs to the Almighty!
See Biblical verses from
So let us speak Truth.  Collectively surely we can find a G-dly solution that brings peace and not war!

Bolton's vision, while seemingly lofty and well meaning,  is a nullification of the Eternal Biblical Covenant between G-d and our forefathers individually, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Nation of Israel, reiterated as well to Moses.

The Land of Israel is an Eternal Inheritance of the Jewish People and to deny this is to deny Torah.

Those who believe in the Bible believe that The Nation of Israel is the Chosen Trustee of the Chosen Land.
.
Those who have Faith in the Bible believe that those living in Judea and Samaria and elsewhere in the Land of Israel are obligated to keep G-d's commandments.  By doing so they are thereby actualizing their joint inseparable mission and potential which is to be the Light onto the Nations and a Kingdom of Priests in the Holy Land, The Land of Israel, our Promised Land!

We all know and sing the beautiful song "This Land Is Mine. G-d Gave This Land To Me"

Only the people of Israel, can actualize the full potential of the Land by settling the Land and keeping the commandments. Jews are obligated with 613 Commandments, many of which are dependant on the Land itself.  Non Jews are obligated with 7 Noahide laws.

Portions of Judea and Samaria should not be part of Jordan as this will cause a definite clash, ambiguity, confusion and conflict between Jews who claim this Land belongs to Israel and Arabs who claim this land belongs to Jordan.

Our objection based on Torah:

Judea and Samaria according to the Bible, is an integral part of the Land of Israel.  Judea and Samaria is the heartland of our ancient ancestral Homeland.  This parcel of Land known as Judea and Samaria is commonly referred to as the Footsteps of the Patriarchs, known as Derech Ha'avot, דרך האבות -it encompasses the Holiest cities, starting from the Negev going northward, Be'er Sheva, Hebron, Jerusalem, Har HaMoriah - Temple Mount, Beit El and Shechem in the Shomron/Samaria.

If anything, according to the Bible, Jordan is an extension of Israel proper and not visa versa,  The East Bank of the Jordan River is the Biblical inheritance of the Tribes of Reuvein and Gad conquered by Moses before Joshua conquered the rest of Israel.

This balancing act of sitting on the fence trying to bridge peace between two mutually exclusive claims has already left too many scars.  It is not a peaceful solution for either side.

Let Israel and the Jewish people finally get off the fence and assert our rightful claim to Our Land! Not to do so has only caused and brought suffering hardship and bloodshed.

Besides the ongoing terror attacks upon civilians  justified by the  "unlawful and Illegal Occupation",  the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria do not enjoy the same legal rights as those who live in other parts of Israel by their own government the State of Israel!  They have suffered greatly emotionally and physically as a result.  Sad to note that the government of Israel has taken sides against Jewish settlers and in favor of Arabs.

As it is impossible to split a baby as Solomon wisely demonstrated, it is impossible to divide Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

The sad reality is that there has been a silent building freeze for Jewish Settlers in Judea and Samaria for many years.   Growth has been terribly stunted due to International pressures.  Please compare the statistics on the number of Jewish homes built in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem relative to the Jewish population and the Jewish population growth in such territory captured in 1967 compared to number of Jewish homes built elsewhere in areas in Israel proper prior to 1967. Statistics will clearly show that there has been a silent freeze in spite of Netanyahu's denials of such.

But besides stunting growth with young families finding great difficulty to find affordable housing close to their parents in Judea and Samaria,  Jews have literally been thrown out of their homes in Ofra and Amona based on cruel BaGatz, Supreme Court Rulings, biased  in favor of Arabs not Jews.

In reality, the Israel Civil Administration COGAT has been biased against Jewish Settlement.  It's nice in theory for John Bolton to allow and expect  increased Jewish building and Jewish Settlement in Judea and Samaria in areas under Israel  Civil Administration, but practically, even without Jordan in the picture this has not been the case in Area C.  In fact the Netanyahu's cabinet recently approved 20,000 illegal Arab units prior to President Trumps visit. Compare that to the newly approved Jewish houses.

Please read about Israeli Civil Administration  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_Civil_Administration.  The Shin Bet has held Jewish Hilltop Youth under Administrative Detention without habeas corpus.  They have forced confessions of crimes that these kids never committed only to put them in a negative light and frame them.  Their goal was to demonize these kids to present a false impression to the world of Jewish Terrorists. This would make it much easier for the government of Israel to justify the expulsion of Jews from their homes  in Judea and Samaria to satisfy International demands to "End the Occupation". Feel free to investigate the manner. You can visit the Honenu Organization which legally represents these kids.

The only way that coexistance can exist,  is for Israel to officially annex Judea and Samaria and East Jerusalem as per the Levy Report, including all the Arab populated areas no different than Jewish areas. The idea is for all residents, Jew and non Jew alike, to be required to abide by the laws of the Land that apply to them under Israel Sovereignty!  These laws will hopefully protect their property and their civil rights, provide health and education and ensure their security, safety and prosperity.

Presently, Israel keeps Arab populated areas in much worse condition than Jewish populated areas. Speak to Arieh King Member of the Jerusalem Council.  They are not offered the same quality of services. Perhaps, once under official Sovereignty and annexation of Israel that situation would change for the better for their benefit!

The reality is that Arabs are not being helped if they are treated in an apartheid segregated fashion.   Their quality of life would surely be superior under Israel's Sovereignty than under Jordan's.  Under Israel's Sovereignty, let me suggest that  they would be required to pledge allegiance to Israel similar to what is required for all those living in Puerto Rico to USA.  They would also be obligated to abide by the 7 Noahide laws.  Their status according to the Bible is Ger Toshav.

Ambiguity as per who is truly Sovereign over a particular parcel of Land will surely lead to great conflict.   Israel will continue to be accused of Occupying territory illegally.

The Mount of Olives is at the heart of the dispute for Israeli sovereignty, as well as the Jewish People's tradition, history and most sacred real estate. The Mount and cemetery are involved in the territorial dispute between Israel and the Muslim nations as well as the Palestinian-Arabs, because Islam rejects Jewish sovereignty and Arabism rejects Zionism. Moreover, the Palestinian Arabs have demanded that Israel withdraw from the Mount of Olives, or give up control over it, claiming it is part of their "occupied territory."

Another example is how Teddy Kollek dealt with supplying electricity to Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem.  It was a balancing act.

6 things you didn't know about the Six-Day War by Ron Kampeas
 http://www.jta.org/2017/05/15/news-opinion/israel-middle-east/6-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-six-day-war

For 20 years, Jews paid fees to a symbol of Palestinian pride.

"Separate and Unequal," penned by three Israelis – Amir Cheshin and Avi Melamed, two former municipality liaisons to the city's Palestinian population, and journalist Bill Hutman – cited the conundrum as an example of the balancing act that Israeli officials had to perform: Maintaining a Jewish claim to the entire city, while at times deferring to Palestinian nationalism, in order to keep the peace.

Ron Kampeas in this JTA article says that Jerusalem was never officially annexed or declared under Israeli Sovereignty. Can Jordan be trusted not to advance against Israel when pressured by other Arabs as in 1967 when they attacked  Israel?  Perhaps what happened to King Abdullah I is what Caroline Glick is afraid of and therefore referred to Bolton's Proposal as  "riskiest of moves"....

 Kampeas writes:
During most of his reign, King Hussein of Jordan sought a peaceful arrangement with Israel, taking a cue from his beloved grandfather, King Abdullah I, whom he saw assassinated in Jerusalem in 1951 because he was seeking peace with Israel.Like his grandfather, he sought peace in secret but did not escape opprobrium – and was wary of meeting Abdullah's fate. Hussein felt he had little choice but to join President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt in saber rattling against Israel in 1967 – Nasser, wildly popular in the Arab world, had already taunted the king as being subservient to Israel. Moreover, Israel had humiliated Hussein a year earlier with a massive daylight raid into his territory to exact revenge for an attack carried out by Palestinian Fatah troops, who then operated with relative impunity from Jordanian soil.According to historian Martin Gilbert's "Jerusalem Illustrated History Atlas," on June 4, 1967, Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol relayed a message to Hussein: "We shall not initiate any action whatsoever against Jordan. However, should Jordan open hostilities, we shall react with all our might and (Hussein) will have to bear the full responsibility for all the consequences."At 8:30 a.m. the following day, Jordan started shelling western Jerusalem, and at 9:30 a.m., Hussein broadcast, "The hour of revenge has come."
Kampeas suggests that Jordan since then has gained Israel's trust.
King Hussein drove Fatah out of Jordan in 1970 and in 1973 waited out the Yom Kippur War. In 1986, he came close to signing a peace deal with Israel.
In 1994, symbols bold and subtle made evident that Hussein had earned the trust of leading Israelis. The king was present at Israel's Arava terminal when Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin signed a peace treaty with his Jordanian counterpart, Abdelsalam al-Majali.

While I truly hope the the King of Jordan can keep Fatah and radical Islam into submission, it is my opinion it will only be possible if Israel takes matters into its own hands and annexes Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and normalizes Judea and Samaria as being part of Israel.

The King of Jordan and the other nations will get strength from Israel's refusal to allow the cuckoo bird to take over its nest.

Otherwise, the King and Jordan will be under tremendous pressure to allow Fatah full reign in the areas it has been allowed to govern in Judea and Samaria which they  call the West Bank or Bolton's Third State.  This is a  clear recipe for disaster. Realistically, even Caroline Glick and John Bolton can agree that this can never be a viable solution.

The only Solution is the G-dly Solution.  Then  Peace and Prosperity will reign!

The promise was first made to Abraham (Genesis 15:18-21), then confirmed to his son Isaac (Genesis 26:3), and then to Isaac's son Jacob (Genesis 28:13),Abraham's grandson. The promised land was described in terms of the territory from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates river (Exodus 23:31).
