Klinghoffer Protest - What should the focus Be?

Let us use the stage and publicity of the Klinghoffer Protest to address the source of the conflict!  
IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE!  This is a Religious War. Please take note of THE UNDERLYING RELIGIOUS CONFLICT

The Torah Position - Believers of the Bible! Noahides, Jews and non Jews, acknowledge and proclaim there is a G-d in the world who is KING.   We are all descendants of Noah and are obligated to keep the 7 Noahide Laws. Here is a wonderful opportunity before Rosh Hashana on Monday night at the Klinghoffer Protest Rally, September 22, 2014, to proclaim the Kingship of G-d. (Someone in fact is bringing a Shofar! ) On Rosh Hashana we don't only pray for our own personal salvation or salvation of the Jewish people on judgement day but also for the salvation of the entire world.

Let us differentiate between the credo of the Muslim Brotherhood representative of radical Islam and ISIS and the moral and ethical laws of  Noahides.

The prayer Aleinu ("It is our duty to praise") is the closing prayer of the morning, afternoon and evening service recited every single day 3x a day. On Rosh Hashana, in the Musaf service, the Baal Tefila, the one leading the prayers,  and the entire Congregation physically kneels on the floor by the recitation of the words Va'anachnu korim, u'mishtachavim, u'modim, lifnei melech, malchei ham'lachim, hakadosh baruch Hu. We Bow, We Prostrate, We Give Thanks before the King of All Kings, Blessed Be He. The Prayer Aleinu closes by invoking collective recognition of God, citing the verse "And the Lord shall be King over all the earth; in that day there shall be one Lord with one name" (Zechariah 14:9).   
Compare this lehavdil, by comparison, to the Islamic concept of Caliphate.

There is no concept of successor expressed in the Aleinu!  Just G-d alone reigns over the entire world.  He is the Supreme Ruler over the Entire World! 
The first Rashi of the Torah in Breishit says: "What is the reason [the Torah] began with the Book of Genesis?  It began thus because it wished to convey the message of the verse 'the power of His acts he told to His people' in order to give them the estate of the Nations.  So that if the nations of the world will say to Israel you are "Occupiers" for you conquered the lands of the seven Nations who inhabited the land of Canaan, Israel will say to them, the whole world belongs to the Holy One, Blessed be He, He created and He gave it to the one found proper in His eyes." 
G-d created the world and gave the Land of Israel to the people of Israel, descendants of the 12 Tribes of Israel (please note it is Jacob, not Yishamael both descendants of Abraham). When we fail to acknowledge the Covenant G-d made with  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob nor assert our rights to the Land of Israel, our G-d given gift, we create a void.   The Palestinians then fills this void with lies and untruths. It is therefore imperative for Israel and world Jewry to assert its rights to Judea and Samaria the exact territory designated as Palestinian State!  
Palestinians have no legitimate claim to our Land.  They know it.  They have no inclination to keep the commandments of Land,  Shemittah, Leket, Shikcha, Peah http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pe'ah

The Jewish people are not racists! Noahides have full civil rights to settle in Israel when they keep the Seven Noahide laws and recognize Israel's Sovereignty over it's borders (delineated in Parshat Masei).

The Muslims Position

Since this book has written, Islam as a terror religion has increased at an alarming rate.  As murderous beheadings and the like increase, so in turn does the lust..

Radical Islam, Palistinian dogma and Terrorism advocate the violation of the Seven Noahide laws.  Human Shields, beheadings, throwing Klinghoffer with his wheelchair into the ocean are clear violations of morality and the Seven Noahide laws.  Hamas, violence, brings destruction to the world as we learned from the time of Noah. It is our duty to expose and denounce any attempt to empower such evil as does the Opera "The Death of Klinghoffer".

  • This coming Tuesday, the day following the scheduled Klinghoffer protest,  in college campuses, there is a call by Hatem Bazian, the founder of anti-Semitic hate group Students for the Justice of Palestine (SJP) for an "International Day of Action".   You can imagine what such a "day of action" promotes....

These manifestations of anti-Semitism in Opera and on College Campus come from the same source.   
A new UN report calls for the Palestinian unity government to assume control of the Gaza Strip in the wake of the fighting in the coastal region over the summer.

"Reconstruction, recovery, governance and security in the Gaza Strip must take place in the context of the return of one legitimate Palestinian Authority to the Strip," reads the report from UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process to the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee, the body coordinating development assistance to the Palestinians.

The AHLC (Ad Hoc Liason Committee)  will meet in New York on September 22 in a meeting hosted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

"The formation of the GNC [Government of National Consensus] under President Abbas and in accordance with the PLO principles was welcomed by the international community," says the report. "The UN has long underscored the need for progress towards Palestinian unity in line with existing resolutions, within the framework of the PLO commitments and the positions of the Quartet and the Arab Peace Initiative."

The report also urged Israel to allow the development of Area C, the part of the West Bank under full Israeli civil and security control.




ZOA Condemns "Students for Justice in Palestine" Call for Anti-Semitic "Day of Action on College Campuses" 


NEW YORK, September 2 -- The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has condemned a call by Hatem Bazian, the founder of the anti-Semitic hate group that calls itself "Students for Justice in Palestine" (SJP), for a disruptive and potentially unlawful, violent and dangerous "International Day of Action" on college campuses around the world. The SJP is a hate group that calls for Israel's destruction.

Posting his message on Facebook and elsewhere, Bazian has called for "activists and organizations on campuses across the world to organize massive protests on every college and university campus" on September 23, 2014. (Perhaps not coincidentally, this is the day before Jewish people around the world begin their celebration of the holy days of Rosh Hashanah.)
Bazian's purported goal is to "free Palestine and end the siege on Gaza" - a phrase that is itself a lie since the Palestinians govern themselves in Judea and Samaria through their own Parliament, school system, etc. and Hamas controls Gaza, from which it initiated a war against Israel, using civilians as human shields and schools and hospitals to launch missile attacks. This "Day of Action" has nothing to do with "Palestine" or Gaza. Instead, it is a campaign of harassment and intimidation on campuses worldwide, to interfere with the civil rights and freedoms of not only Jewish students but the entire university community.

Chaveirim, We can do much more than just get the Opera to close this performance.  We can expose the truth about a "legitimate Palestinian Authority on the Gaza Strip" and help change current events as it is happening in the UN!

I don't think it is productive for us to engage in 'philosophical debates' or any issue which distracts us .  Our Main focus should be on influencing the  Met sponsors to insist that the opera be canceled(or risk losing their support if it is not).
As per earlier email I suggest that we take the high road.... and let the media know that our concerns are
1. Show is anti-semitic
2. The show glorifies terror
3. It is insensitive to the surviving members of the victims family... Who have expressed their desire that the show be canceled( see article in ny post)
4. It is offensive to many members of the Jewish community
5. Live feed was canceled because of the strong likelihood that it would fan the flames of anti semitism...thus it is inconsistent to allow it in NY
6. Insidious anti semitism is more dangerous that overt...dressing it up as art is disingenuous
7. Everyone would be outraged if there was an opera that was even perceived to be anti Black or anti Muslim
Bottom line let's keep the focus and galvanize  our energy for the purpose of getting the opera canceled
