*The detention of the two farmers from Samaria who were arrested over the weekend after they went out to return the herd that was stolen from them and were attacked by dozens of Arab rioters has been extended. Their lawyers from Honenu: "The police are trying to create a false narrative. The farmers were in danger of their lives, they have nothing to do with the violent incident"*
The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended by three days the detention of the two farmers from Samaria who were arrested over the weekend after they went out to return the herd that was stolen from them and were attacked by dozens of Arab rioters. Lawyers Adi Kedar and Daniel Shamshilashvili from the Honenu Organization, who represent the farmers, announced that they will appeal the extension of the detention.
Attorney Adi Kedar said: "Unfortunately, the narrative that the Israel Police is trying to convey is a false narrative. The police have not verified the version of the suspects, who have given a full and clear version, from the moment of their arrest until now. This incident was entirely an incident of a herd search, of riots by Arabs, of a herd that was stolen, and of a shooting that occurred in light of the danger to life that the suspects found themselves in. Regarding the video, the court agreed that the suspects, as also seen in the incident, have nothing to do with this violent incident. Therefore, we are puzzled by the court's decision to extend their detention and we will appeal it in the coming days."
Attorney Daniel Shimsilshvili said: "The investigative unit is concealing in the court hearing the full picture that was really on the ground. There was a picture of a life-threatening situation for the farm owners, who ultimately find themselves detained while the same terrorists who once sought to steal, and a second time to harm the lives of the volunteers they were looking for, are roaming free as if there is no law and no justice. We will stand up for the rights of the detainees and lead to their release."
Meanwhile, the secretaries of eight communities in Samaria, together with the rabbis of Samaria, issued a demand to release the farmers: "The Israeli police and security officials and the prosecutor's office, last night descended to a moral low point, with the arrest of two Jewish families, pioneers and loyalists, owners of the Tzafnet farm in Samaria. Both are well-known and known to the public and the regimes as responsible people, they have established a magnificent farm that protects thousands of dunams of state land. בית משפט השלום בפתח תקווה האריך בשלושה ימים את מעצרם של שני החוואים מהשומרון אשר נעצרו בסוף השבוע לאחר שיצאו להשיב את העדר שנגנב מהם והותקפו בידי עשרות פורעים ערבים. עורכי הדין עדי קידר ודניאל שמשילשווילי מארגון חוננו המייצגים את החוואים הודיעו כי יערערו על הארכת המעצר.
עו"ד עדי קידר מסר: "לצערנו הנרטיב שמנסה להעביר משטרת ישראל הוא נרטיב שקרי. המשטרה לא בדקה מרגע המעצר עד כה את גרסת החשודים שמסרו גרסה מלאה וברורה. האירוע הזה היה כולו אירוע של חיפוש עדר, של התפרעות של ערבים, של עדר שנגנב ושל ירי שהיה לאור סכנת חיים שהחשודים נקלעו אליה. לגבי הסרטון בית המשפט הסכים שלחשודים, כפי שגם נראה באירוע, אין להם שום קשר לאירוע אלימות הזה. ולכן אנחנו תמהים על החלטת בית המשפט להאריך את מעצרם ואנחנו נערר עליה בימים הקרובים".
עו"ד דניאל שימשילשוילי אמר: "היחידה החוקרת מעלימה בדיון בבית המשפט את התמונה המלאה שהייתה באמת בשטח. הייתה שם תמונה של סכנת חיים לבעלי החווה, שבסופו של דבר מוצאים את עצמם עצורים כאשר אותם מחבלים שביקשו פעם אחת לגנוב, ופעם שנייה לפגוע בחיי אותם מתנדבים שחיפשו, הם מסתובבים חופשי כאילו אין דין ואין דיין. אנחנו נעמוד על זכויותיהם של העצורים ונוביל לשחרורם".
בתוך כך, פרסמו מזכירי שמונה ישובים בשומרון יחד עם רבני השומרון דרישה לשחרר את החוואים: "משטרת ישראל וגורמי הביטחון והפרקליטות, הדרדרו אמש לשפל מוסרי, במעצרם של שני יהודים בעלי משפחות, חלוצים ונאמנים, בעלי חוות צפנת שבשומרון. שניהם מוכרים וידועים לציבור ולמערכות כאנשים אחראים, הקימו חווה לתפארת ששומרת על אלפי דונם אדמות מדינה. בשבת האחרונה הם חוו גניבת עדר צאן מהחווה על ידי פורעים ערבים. בעלי החווה פעלו בתיאום עם צה"ל וכוחות הביטחון להשבת העדר, וכעת טופלים עליהם אשמות שווא ומעצר שכולו התעללות ופגיעה, באנשים שהכי מסורים, והכי חלוצים, ומשתפים פעולה עם המערכות".
"מעצרם הוא 'אות קין' למשטרה ולגורמי הביטחון, כל יום שלהם במעצר הוא איוולת ופגיעה נוספת, במרקם העדין שעוד קיים בין ההתיישבות למערכות הביטחון סביבנו, ויפה שעה אחת קודם. אנו קוראים למפקד מחוז ש"י במשטרה להורות על שחרורם המיידי".
