Robin,
To listen to critics of the Senate Republicans' health care bill, you'd think it called for carpet bombing orphanages. Here's a more accurate rundown of what it would actually do. You might be surprised to learn that the reported "deep cuts" in the Medicaid budget are actually just a slightly lower rate of growth than Democrats want, but we'd still be spending 18% more in nine years than we do now. That's how Washington defines a "spending cut," which explains why we have a $20 trillion national debt.
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

-- New development in CNN retraction story
By Mike Huckabee
Are you sitting down? After issuing a retraction and apologizing for its bogus report that four days before President Trump's inauguration, transition team member Anthony Scaramucci had met with a Russian bank official about lifting sanctions, CNN has gone even further: it has changed its editorial policy so that any "content involving Russia" must first be cleared with top-level executives. "No exceptions."
The scandalous "meeting" did not take place –- it was simply a matter of the two people in question saying hello to each other in a restaurant. Just another symptom of acute Russia hysteria, thoroughly debunked less than a day after publication. Perhaps this change in policy will spread to other news outlets that decide they don't want the label of "fake news" to stick to them permanently.

A deadly holy month
By Mike Huckabee
During this year's Muslim holy month of Ramadan, over 1,620 people were killed in Islamic terror-linked bombings, shootings, and stabbings worldwide. This makes it one of the deadliest holy months in recent history, which is a sentence that frankly shouldn't even exist. And while the victims included people of various faiths (even Coptic Christian children in Egypt who were murdered by Islamic militants for refusing to renounce their faith in Jesus), most of the victims were Muslims.

Stop praying in your home!?!
By Mike Huckabee
The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a Catholic woman from Louisburg, Kansas, who claimed that two police officers who came to her home on a noise complaint mocked and harassed her and violated her First Amendment rights by ordering her to stop praying in her own home. The three-judge panel criticized the officers' behavior as "unprofessional," but said the plaintiff had to demonstrate "that any reasonable officer would have known this behavior violated the First Amendment" and wasn't just an attempt to get her full attention. No word yet on whether she'll appeal, or how anyone "reasonable" would think it's okay to order someone to stop praying in her own home.

New CNN expose video
By Mike Huckabee
A new Project Veritas undercover video by James O'Keefe allegedly captures a top CNN producer admitting that the Trump-Russia story is mostly just "bull-(BLEEP)" with no real proof, and they haven't seen that Trump has done anything illegal. But they will continue hammering on it anyway. The reason: all this talk about journalistic ethics is "adorable," but this is a business, and Trump is good for business. That's why they covered the Paris Climate Accord story for about a day, then Jeff Zucker told them to get back to the Russia story.
I'm sure CNN would love to cover this expose, but they're probably much too busy covering the big Trump/Russia collusion story.
