Karen McQuillan writes:  A friend had this explanation, which I thought was insightful.  The entire Democratic Party from top to bottom is made of niche interest groups who are bought off by having their narrow self-interest promoted above the interests of the country.  The feminists get abortion without limit at the price of infanticide.  The gays get gay marriage at the price of religious freedom.  The teacher unions get lifetime job security at the price of lousy schools.  The government bureaucrats get outsize salary/benefit/pension packages at the price of bankrupting the country.   The race hustlers get the President fomenting racial hatred, at the price of people's lives.  Those dependent on the government teat get more and more stuff and a blind eye to fraud, while the economy sinks under our debt.    The environmentalists and Silicon Valley get subsidies for green energy and EPA attacks on our energy industry, at the price of energy security and blue collar jobs.  The Hispanic activists get illegal immigration, at the cost of good salaries and jobs for citizens.  Hollywood and liberal Jews and academia get entry to the jobs and cocktail parties controlled by punitive, blacklisting, fellow liberals.  And they all get to feel superior and sanctimonious at the same time by libeling conservatives as uncaring, racist, morons.

Cities across America are reporting startling increases in violence. I attribute this increase largely to the anti-American president Barack Obama.

From the outset of his first campaign for the presidency eight years ago, Obama has cast visible contempt on America's two foundational documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. 

The pivotal concept of the Declaration is "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." Obama rejects this all-important concept since he is an avowed multi-cultural moral relativist. And since he has also disdained the Constitution, the supreme law of the land, he has imbued countless people with contempt for law in general. 

At the same time, Obama's "outreach" foreign policy, has dignified despotic regimes in which the rule of men supplants the rule of law, regimes from the Palestinian Authority to the Mullocracy of Iran. 

 

Moreover, not only does Obama fail to condemn Islamic terrorism without equivocation, but he also displays contempt for Israel, the only nation in the Middle East that upholds the rule of law and the inviolable dignity of the individual.

 

This highly visible President of the most powerful nation on earth – this President whose acts and speeches are reported everywhere – has been the most pernicious example on earth to Americans and mankind in general.

  

Obama's multicultural moral relativism, and his conspicuous laxity toward Islamic terrorism – he has appointed Muslims to important positions in his administration – has prompted the "wicked in spirit"to become the "wicked in practice." The quoted words are those Abraham Lincoln used back in 1837 when racial violence had erupted in the United States and when many law-breakers went unpunished.

 

This simple psychological fact about the "wicked in spirit" becoming the "wicked in practice," has been ignored by pundits. But this fact, affirmed by commonsense, and well understood by any criminologist uncorrupted by liberalism, has contributed enormously to the upsurge of violence in cities across America as well as to Islamic terrorism across the globe. 

Indeed, the mere fact that doubt remains about Obama's eligibility to hold the highest office in the land, places in question the laws he has signed – enough to cynicism and generate contempt for law and order among the masses, above all, among Muslims who regard "infidel" Americans as dogs and pigs. "Pigs" is a choice word that criminals use to describe the police! 

The outbreak of violence in American cities will not subside so long as Obama remains in office.◙

Stop Iran Rally, the grassroots movement that brought 15,000 people to Times Square in July, will protest against the dangerous deal with Iran at Senator Gillibrand's office in New York City on September 1.

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and retired US Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman will headline the bipartisan rally, where they will deliver a landmark foreign policy speech.

Family members of victims of Iranian terror, including the daughter of an Iranian journalist who died a political prisoner and the brother of a US Navy Seal tortured and killed on TWA Flight 847 by Iranian proxy Hezbollah, will also address the thousands of New Yorkers expected to attend the rally.

The nature of evil regimes will be the subject of an important speech by a child survivor of medical experiments and torture at a Nazi labor camp.
"Morale outrage is what New Yorkers feel about this dangerous deal because the Iranian regime has shown itself, since taking the American embassy in 1979, to be vile law breakers with complete disregard for human life," said Jeffrey Wiesenfeld, one of the volunteer activists coordinating the rally.

"The twisted Iranian regime will treat this deal with the same contempt and disdain they show when hanging hundreds of Iranian homosexuals from cranes in downtown Tehran," Wiesenfeld said. "This is who America is partnering with, and the stakes are too high to be fooled."
Senator Gillibrand has pledged to support the deal, while New York's senior Senator Chuck Schumer, whose office happens to be in the same building, at 780 Third Avenue, opposes the agreement and has argued that America should hold out for better terms.

The Stop Iran Rally is inviting thousands of New Yorkers to show Senator Gillibrand how vital her opposition to this deal is for her constituent voters. The rally's message is simple: "Vote No."
Among the many speakers scheduled for September 1, New Yorkers will hear from:

• Senator Lindsey Graham – Third-Term Republican Senator, Congressman, Air Force Reserve Colonel
  
• Senator Joe Lieberman – Chairman of United Against Nuclear Iran, Former Democratic and Independent Senator, serving from 1989 to 2013
  
• Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi – Iranian human rights activist and filmmaker whose father, journalist Siamak Pourzand, was held for a decade as a political prisoner and dissident before killing himself, at 80, while under house arrest.
  
• Ken Stethem – Former US Navy SEAL whose brother Robert Stethem, also a Navy Seal, was kidnapped, along with 39 other passengers on TWA Flight 847, then tortured and shot by Iranian terro proxy Hezbollah.
  
• Sami Steigmann – Sami is a child survivor of experiments, abuse and torture at the hands of Nazi doctors at labor camp in Mogilev Podolski, Ukraine, during World War II.
  
• Protesters will line the street in front of Senator Gillibrand's New York office, at 780 Third Avenue, between 49th and 50th Streets. The rally will be from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
