MK Amit Halevi - Press Release
Tal Yinon Dardik must be released immediately!

This farmer from Judea and Samaria, from the Binyamin Regional Council, is in mortal danger in his detention cell. He has been on a hunger strike for 16 days in protest against the horrific discrimination and injustice against the settlers of Judea and Samaria.
The only reason he is in detention today is the draconian use of administrative orders. Without an investigation, without an indictment, without a trial, without a conviction, and without the ability to defend himself.
This severe violation of human rights is a disgrace and a moral stain on Israel's law enforcement systems, and on the Central Command of the IDF in particular.
This is an especially shocking absurdity, given that such administrative orders are issued only against settlers in Judea and Samaria, while countless hostile and dangerous elements — such as those who threw flares at the Prime Minister's residence, criminal families in the Arab sector, arms smugglers on the borders, inciters to terrorism, and protection racket collectors — are immune to these orders.
I again call on Defense Minister Israel Katz, who took an important step at the beginning of his term to cancel administrative detentions, to complete the move! Do not allow generals and officials to use other administrative tools behind your back that trample the rights of the settlers in Judea and Samaria.
Tal Yinon Dardik is in real danger, but we are all Israeli citizens in danger if government authorities can mistreat a citizen without a fair legal process.
