Mr. Netanyanu's predictable game plan by Raanan Isseroff Chabad4Israel

bs"d

Back the Jew verbally, and let the system back the Arab.
The Prime Minister is so predictable, that we can apply how he typically reacts to this scenario:
Mr. Netanyahu's classic stance is ALWAYS, verbally back the settlers or soldiers, saying "lets let the courts decide". This is done to avoid having people protest.

The soldier or settlers are encouraged to let the matter go to court where of course they lose. (Oh Gosh- "Boo Hoo"...)
Then, Mr. Prime Minister is first there to say: "Oh well, I guess we have to go along with what the courts say..."

You see, letting it "go to court" makes it appear "fair". "Justice was served".
This allays protest efforts and demonstrations-

Meanwhile, there's a big media buildup where Mr. Netanyahu appears in the press and on TV begging the courts to act fairly let the soldier (or settler) win.
Defenders of the soldier or settler appear in the press begging the court to back the Prime Minister-

Perhaps the PM cries some tears...
As if- He, the mighty Prime Minister of Israel is powerless. He has no say in the matter.
(Just as he does when there are peace talks)
When the reality is that he could put his foot down and exercise executive powers to see to it that the person is let off, or the settler is allowed to keep the house he bought from an Arab.

But you see Mr. Netanyahu never does.

Like when you go bowling?
The ball is thrown, and everyone cheers on the ball as it rolls towards the pins.
There is what the PM is doing.
He is the cheer leader- creating a cheering section to make it appear, that he's the leader in their cause!
The chief of who is for the soldier or settler.
As if to intimate, that really, this person has a fair chance in court.

Meanwhile behind the scenes, its really a stacked case.
The court predictably, announces its decision which is not a quick one, allowing the media to absorb any bad feelings of discontent or unfairness.

And there one sees that the PM changes roles.
He goes from pretending to be for the righteousness of the act that this heroic Jew did to the cold bureaucrat who pontificates the victory of bureaucratic and political need.
Nay! The victory of Democracy no-less...

After such a long waiting period nobody cares anymore. The decision comes out against the Jew and in favor of the poor Arab terrorist.
Nobody remembers what happened, nor what the soldiers name is.
For in the interim, so many other of the same cases happen and other acts of terror which up-stage the issue. People are overwhelmed.
And so boys and girls, the matter is forgotten. Mr. Soldier gets jail and Israel gets another humiliation, while the Arabs gloat in glee, waiting for the next opportunity to help the Jews destroy themselves.

The problem of course here, is unique in that Israel itself has bought into the other sides idea that these are not acts of terror against Jews, but instead acts of legitimate resistance.
As a  study by Penn State University  suggests that is unique about Middle East Terror:  "there are highly subjective views about what constitutes terrorism as opposed to ''legitimate resistance.''

Since Israel itself is highly sympathetic towards the theme of the terrorists, its made it doubly hard to counter terror.
For how does one counter terror if you yourself believe they are not terror but legitimate acts to gain statehood?

The problem is that terror in Israel against Jews is not like terror in other countries.
In those countries, the two populations are basically similar and its a question of a balance of political power being sought.

Here, the terror goals are genocidal.
The Arab terrorists don't seek a balance of political power, but rather a total eradication of Jews from Israel (and Jews in other parts of the world too).
This crucial point seems to be lost on Israeli leaders who are so headily steeped in the death cult of peace.

So giving Arab terrorists a political bone doesn't solve the problem as it does in Ireland or South Africa.
Plus, since the issue has been turned from an illegitimate one of stealing Jewish land into a religious one, a political bone won't satisfy to end terror.
As well, as another study pointed out, the Arab terrorists are well funded and because of the above two points continue their war with outside help and have the capability to continue like this without stopping.

But Israel doesn't seem to recognize these points acting as if terror in Israel against Jews is the same as political terror in Ireland, Sri Lanka or South Africa where solutions for stopping terror have been to give the other side political power. As you can see, Israel awards terrorists Geneva convention rights, although they are out of uniform, not representing a recognized country and attacking civilians.
This sends a strong message about Israel's wishy washy position and sets the stage for more acts of terror.

We see that the US State Dept considers these very Palestinian organizations to be terrorists although Israel does not, and is trying to make peace with them!
  • Palestine Islamic Jihad – Shaqaqi Faction (PIJ)
  • Palestine Liberation Front – Abu Abbas Faction (PLF)
  • Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)
  • Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC)

Also thanks to Israel's confused position, Kahane Chai is also on that list- Israel shooting itself in the foot again.

The Soldier is a Hero by Raanan Isseroff Chabad4Israel.org

bs"d

This soldier is a hero!
That terrorist would have gone free and gone out to kill more Jews.
This brave soldier prevented this.

The rate of repeat terror offenders called: Recidivism is over 60 percent.
"Shin Bet Chief Yoram Cohen, who supported the Shalit exchange two years ago, bravely acknowledged the fact that 60 percent of those released resume terrorist activities and 12 percent returned to prison. According to statistics compiled by the Defense Ministry, 114 terrorists in a sample size of 238 terrorists released in the Jibril exchange resumed their activities after their release. At least half of the 7,000 terrorists freed following the signing of the Oslo Accords were reinstated into terrorist organizations and took an active role in the second intifada. Dozens of the terrorists freed in the Elhanan Tanenbaum exchange resumed their hostile activities. By April 2007, they had managed to slaughter 37 Israelis." (from Israel Hayom)

Based on patterns of what has gone on with similar trials, we can predict the following outcome:
You and I both know what happened to all the other soldiers who did something like this.
Most of them in self defense. A number appear on the Honenu website.
So this soldier is most probably going to land in jail and be swamped with tons of legal bills and fines, just like all the other soldiers who as good Samaritans in the line of duty, protected civilians or defended themselves or others against Arab acts of terror or belligerence.

Fwd: “The Enemy Within, Revisited” by Paul Eidelberg

"The Enemy Within, Revisited"

Prof. Paul Eidelberg

On March 31, 1995, ten years before Israel's withdrawal from Gaza withdrawal, Yitzhak Rabin was Prime Minister and Shimon Peres was Defense Minster. On that day, Ariel Sharon published an article in the Jerusalem Post entitled "The Enemy Within." He emphatically said:

"When I told the Knesset this week that 'This government is against everything that is Jewish,' several leftists were riled. But for me, the Jewish cause transcends everything. Israel is the Jewish state; Jerusalem is Jewish, and exclusively Jewish; Hebron is forever Jewish…
Those on whose head lays the blood of the 134 Israeli citizens murdered since the Oslo Agreement [of September 1993] are anti-Jewish…"
Anyone planning to hand over Beit El and Shiloh is against Jews and Judaism. Those who gave official status to non-Jews on the Temple Mount are anti-Jewish.

1. With these words Sharon tacitly denounced Rabin and Peres as anti-Jewish. But what Sharon denounced as anti-Jewish applied ten-fold to himself, i.e., to his Gaza Disengagement Plan (hence to any Israeli that advocates a Palestinian state such as Benjamin Netanyahu)!

2. In the same Jerusalem Post article of March 31, 1995, Sharon warned that the Rabin Government's plan to evacuate Gaza and parts of Judea and Samaria would result in Jewish bloodshed: "Evacuating the IDF from Palestinian-populated areas," he warned, "will primarily affect the Jewish population in Jerusalem and the center of the country." These areas, he explained, "aren't geared to defend themselves against terrorism." He further warned, "Those who leave Jenin will find they have intensified terror … and those who dare to evacuate the IDF from Ramallah and Bethlehem shouldn't expect a day of tranquility in Jerusalem." Sharon thus foretold exactly what was to happen in Jerusalem and in the center of the country under his own Government (which tolerated the murder of more than 1,000 Jews)!

3. Nothing has happened since 1995 to change Sharon's ominous security assessment. Recall the 2003 elections, when Sharon and his Likud Party campaigned against Labor's disengagement from Gaza. Throughout the next two years, IDF Chief of General Staff. Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, IDF Chief of Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Aharon Ze'evi-Farkash, and Shin Bet Director, Avi Dichter, testified before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that withdrawal from Gaza and northern Samaria would increase terrorist attacks against Israel.[1]

4. The evidence of these and other experts clearly indicates that Sharon's Disengagement Plan was not based on any rational, strategic considerations. In fact, former Deputy IDF Intelligence Chief, Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror declared that "The Israeli government has not succeeded in producing a single serious argument that can refute objections [to the abandonment of Gaza] and justify the grave step that it is taking."[2]

5. Given the warnings of these officials concerning Gaza, imagine what they would say about the abandonment of Judea and Samaria to make room for Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed Palestinian state? Would Defense Minister Ya'alon screw up his courage and resign, as he should have in the opinion of stalwart Israelis?

6. Moreover, if Sharon could say that "Anyone planning to hand over Beit El and Shiloh is against Jews and Judaism," what is one to say about Netanyahu, who has endorsed the creation of a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, the heartland of the Jewish state, indeed, of Jewish civilization?

7. Given the strategic and ideological position of Sharon's article, "The Enemy Within," it logically follows that Israel's most insidious anti-Jewish enemy today is her saccharine Prime Minister. This Prime Minister has not only advocated a Palestinian state in the Holy Land, but such is his fear of world opinion that he also lacks the guts to defend a Jewish soldier who shot a subdued Arab terrorist that stabbed a Jew in Hebron, an act that can be justified by Jewish law, as I have hitherto elaborated, since the terrorist himself created the uncertain and precarious situation in which the soldier acted.

8. Finally, ponder the impact of Netanyahu's flabbywretched "what-will-the-goyim- think" behavior in the Hebron incident on the morale of Jewish soldiers who risk their lives fighting Arab terrorists. Is Netanyahu another example of what Ariel Sharon called "the enemy within" referring to Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres ten years ago? If so, doesn't this signify that the State of Israel is in dire need of a radical transformation of its educational institutions, which, after all, shape the mentality of Israel's ruling elite? ◙

I wanted to share with you some relevant articles to this case that has been in the news in Yeshiva World, Vosiznaias,  the Jewish Press and Israel National News.  As you can see this matter is very upsetting to many Jews from a wide spectrum ranging from Chareidi religious, Dati Leumi Religious and secular. This is just a drop in the bucket.....

Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah can be a real game changer in how this is played out in securing Meir Ettinger's release from prison. Thank you for listening!

Meir Ettinger's Wife: "We Will Not Hold the Bris in Prison"
(Monday, April 4th, 2016 02:30 AM)

On Sunday 24 Adar-II, Beersheva District Court Judge Yisrael Pablo Axelrod rejected the petition filed by Honenu Attorney Sima Kochav on behalf of administrative detainee Meir Ettinger and ruled that he will not be permitted to participate in his son's brit milah, which is expected to take place the following day. The Prison Service suggested that the bris be held at the prison. Moriya Ettinger, the wife of administrative detainee Meir Ettinger, stated that the family refuses to hold the bris milah at the prison, which the court conditions on the presence of only 15 people who will undergo meticulous searches by the Prison Service before entering the prison.

Other members of Ettinger's family stated that they will refuse to hold the bris milah in prison in a manner in which not all of Ettinger's siblings and close relatives will be able to participate in the event, and whoever will able to participate will be forced to undergo humiliating searches.

"This is not our private matter, but rather the struggle for Jewish identity, for the differentiation between friend and foe, and between Israel and the nations. With G-d's help, the bris milah will take place at its time, with Meir. I call on everyone to support our struggle," said Moriya Ettinger. Ettinger also wrote a letter to the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi David Lau and Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef' requesting their assistance in obtaining furlough for her husband to participate in their son's bris milah.

Supreme Court Justice Mani Mazuz scheduled a deliberation for 9:00 A.M. today, Monday 25 Adar-II at the Supreme Court Building for the urgent appeal filed by Honenu Attorney Adi Kedar on the matter of Meir Ettinger's participation in his son's bris milah. A panel of three judges will rule on the appeal.

Friends of the family were shocked that Justice Mazuz scheduled the deliberation for Monday, the day of the bris and not Sunday when it was requested.

Jerusalem - Supreme Court Rules: Meir Ettinger Will Not Attend Son's Brit

Jerusalem - The Supreme Court rejected Monday afternoon the appeal of Jewish radical activist Meir Ettinger for leave from prison to attend his son's brit mila.
The ceremony, for Ettinger's first son, was scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Ettinger has been detained on administrative detention for close to eight months, having been arrested in August following the infamous Duma terrorist arson in which most of a Palestinian family was burned to death.
He has however not been charged with any crime.

A panel of three Supreme Court justices rejected Ettinger's appeal to attend, saying that he is a dangerous individual, and that the only solution they would agree to is to conduct the brit mila in the prison where Ettinger is being held with the participation of 15 guests.
Ettinger's family said yesterday they would not agree to such an arrangement, labeling it "humiliating."
A brother of Ettinger shouted at the justices following their verdict, calling them "Bolsheviks," said the Honenu legal advocacy organization, which is representing Ettinger and provides legal representation for Jewish militants and settlers accused of violence against Palestinians.
He was subsequently removed from the hall by security officials.
Attorney Ariel Atri, representing Ettinger, said the decision was "outrageous," considering that it was based on the Prison Service's assertion that it could not prepare the security logistics for the event, "in light of the fact that we requested [from the Prison Service] to stage the event eight days ago."
The Ettinger family has invited the public to the brit mila ceremony in Jerusalem, where several public figures are expected to attend, including rabbis from the hardline national-religious community.

Writing in Israel National News, Shlomo Pyotrkovsky tells us: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/210228#.VwVJOfkrJdg

Be'er Sheva district court judge Yisrael Pablo Axelrod on Sunday rejected the petition to release Meir Ettinger from his administrative detention for several hours on Monday so as to attend the brit milah (circumcision) of his firstborn son.

Ettinger has been held for the past eight months without trial or charges against him on administrative orders, a relic from the British Mandate which has almost exclusively been used against Arab terror suspects.

Meir Ettinger is the grandson of the much despised Meir Kahane… who many Jews confuse with the Devil. Kahane's Kach Party was, in the late 1980s, deemed a racist political party and the government barred members from running for the Knesset.

Ettinger is what is commonly referred to as a "Hilltop Youth." That is, he is among the generation of young Israelis who believe strongly for religious reasons in the connection of the Jewish people to our traditional homeland and are willing to risk the unhappiness of the government by settling non-annexed outposts in Judea and Samaria beyond that Holy of Holies, the "green line."

I am the kind of guy who is often accused of thinking that Israel can do no wrong. In fact, I have plenty of criticisms concerning Israel and the fact that they are holding people in prison without charge is one of them.

I don't care if the person is an Arab or a Muslim or a Jew or a Rosicrucion, it is a violation of the most fundamental premises of the political Enlightenment for a government to detain anyone for an extended period of time without charges being brought against the person.

This is a little thing that we in the West like to refer to as Habeas Corpus.

There is no right derived from the European liberal tradition more basic than the right to not be thrown into the clink without charges being raised, without access to an attorney of law, and without being allowed to face one's accuser.

Perhaps I am just biased towards the Constitution of the United States and its fourth amendment within the Bill of Rights that guarantees that the "right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…"

In other words, it is against the law in the United States to throw anyone in prison without due process and due process requires a trial by jury.

There are certain things that anger me about Israel, such as its policies in regard the Temple Mount, but this issue is something that I can agree upon with the most virulent demonizers of Israel.

It violates basic standards of human decency to hold people without charge for months on end. It is simply wrong and, to the extent that people are held in detention within Israel without access to a fair trial, the practice must end.

It may have been a story around Meir Ettinger that caught my eye, but the fundamental principle of a right of trial by jury needs to be extended to every citizen of the State of Israel no matter what their ideological beliefs.

Pyotrkovsky writes:

Ettinger is being imprisoned in extreme conditions of solitary confinement and is not being allowed any phone calls except to several close family members, even though there has been no evidence or indictment presented against him for any crime.

I would not care if this guy was the grandson of Yassir Arafat, this is unacceptable.
