A Spirit of Youth and Renewal is animating the Sovereignty movement
Dear friends,
Hag sameach!
Our national holidays will soon be arriving – Pesach, Independence Day
and Jerusalem Day and we thank the Almighty that we have the privilege
of living during this special generation, a generation of rebirth. And
together, we can add another layer to the rebirth and to the promotion
of sovereignty.
Thank Heaven, the subject of sovereignty has penetrated well into the
political system as well as into the public's awareness, but there is
still much work to be done before it will be enshrined in legislation.
The tenth issue of the Sovereignty Journal
Issue no. 10 of the political journal is now being prepared and G-d
willing, 200,000 copies will be published and distributed by Jerusalem
Day. We thank the donors, who believe, as we do, that even in the era
of social networks, Facebook and Twitter, there is still a place for
printed news media.
The Sovereignty Budget
The subject of sovereignty can gain even greater momentum if we have a
bigger budget. In the most recent crowd fund-raising event in
December, we raised an amount that enabled us to begin work on the
TAMA plan and hold several conferences. But it turns out that the
expenses are much greater than we anticipated, especially due to
advertising and if we want to strengthen the Sovereignty Campaign, we
must raise much more money. It would be a shame to waste the
opportunity that we now have, with the sympathetic American
administration. We must seize the moment and this window of
opportunity. Your contributions and help will be gratefully received!
And if you know of other people, whether in Israel or abroad, who
would like to take part and donate toward the sovereignty awareness
revolution, please contact us and help us to reach out to them.
Many Youths have joined the Sovereignty Movement
A new group of teenagers and young adults has joined the Sovereignty
Movement and embarked on an extensive hasbara (public relations)
campaign in various Israeli cities with the slogan "The People
supports sovereignty". There are now Sovereignty youth representatives
in Jerusalem, Modiin, Lod, Givat Shmuel, Tel Aviv, Rosh HaAyin, Ramat
Gan, Bnei Brak, Gedera, Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Beersheva, Dimona,
Natanya, Kfar Saba, Petach Tikva, Haifa, Moreshet, Tiberias.
Stickers, ribbons, flyers and pens will be distributed. Encourage the
younger generation in your area to join them. For details: Yair
Buchnik and Asaf Jayson

If you are interested in receiving material to distribute in your
area, please send your contact information to:

TAMA 100
The TAMA 100 (Strategic Outline Plan) is progressing too. As you may
recall, when we discovered that Judea and Samaria are not included in
the State of Israel's official TAMA plans, we decided that to make
sovereignty a reality we would need to prepare a plan with details of
how Israel would look in its 100th year. We assert that the Land of
Israel is one unit, geographically, ecologically, historically, in
matters of security, etc.and thus that needs planning.
Architect Yoram Ginsburg, senior lecturer at the University of Ariel
School of Architecture, is coordinating the project for us, together
with Avraham Shvut, geographer and specialist in regional
entrepreneurial projects and development. The experts who will be
working on the project have already been recruited. The topics that
they will cover include: treasury, economy and tourism, property
appraisal and land use, ecology, national infrastructure and others.
We hope that within a year we will be able to collate the results of
the work into a brochure that will be distributed to every home in
Israel and there will be a film that describes how life would be under
sovereignty. It is important to note that the document will be an
outline of a direction and not a detailed plan. The official TAMA
funded by the State of Israel, TAMA 35, was about 10 years in planning
and cost approximately 10 million shekels.
Upcoming Sovereignty Conference in Tel Aviv on May 6th,2018
Our next conference, which, among other things, will deal with the
subject of the TAMA, will be held, G-d willing, on May 6th 2018 in Tel
Aviv at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) Conference Center on 2
Ahuzat Habayit street. Please note the date in your calendar and
start talking about it to your friends and family who live in the
area.
Oz veGaon
The Oz veGaon Preserve, which we founded together with you, on the
night that we learned of the murder of Gil-ad, Eyal and Naftali,hy"d,
has become a bustling educational-tourism-cultural site and continues
to attract many groups of visitors from Israel and abroad, who come to
enjoy the scenery, the atmosphere, the recreational equipment, the
Zionist Boulevard and the lectures on Zionism. Among these groups
were, for instance, tourists who came recently from Gush Dan,
accompanied by guides Gen. (res.) Uzi Dayan and Yoav Rabinowitz.
Tuesday mornings there are lessons in the Women's Beit Midrash, in
which dozens of women take part, from Kiryat Arba-Hevron, Gush Etzion
and Jerusalem. The lectures (in Hebrew) are uploaded to our YouTube
channel. In the evenings, there is a Beit Midrash for men, led by Rav
Mor Bergman.
The public is invited to come to the preserve and contribute to the
Jewish presence at this important and strategic location in the heart
of Gush Etzion. The place is suitable for family gatherings, picnics
and barbecues.
Independence Day Eve at Oz veGaon – A Special Program!
On Independence Day eve, Wednesday, the 3rd of Iyar at 21:00, April
18th, G-d willing, we will hold a special program of words and music.
"Our country, through the poems and songs of Yoram TaharLev", who will
be a recipient of the Israel Prize this year. Seventy years of
history, moving, nostalgic and full of hope. With Dr. Joseph Priel,
teacher of Tanach. Hold the date for us! More information to follow.

In Summary
With the Almighty's help, we will continue in the spirit of the
Haggadah to be active and progress toward full sovereignty over the
expanse of our Land. The meaning of "'To see ourselves as if we went
out of Egypt', is not a return to the past, but the opposite! The
meaning of seeing ourselves as belonging to the exodus from Egypt is
unlimited renewal" (And You Shall Teach your Children, Rav Eli Adler).
See you at our activities!
With great appreciation, Chag sameach!

Fwd: Arab Unlawful Acts of Aggression in 1967 Eli E. Hertz Myths and Facts
Arab Unlawful Acts of Aggression in 1967
Arab Unlawful Acts of Aggression in 1967 Series 2
Eli E. Hertz | 20 March 2018
In June 1967, the combined armies of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan attacked Israel with the clear purpose expressed by Egypt's President: "Destruction of Israel." At the end of what is now known as the Six-Day War, Israel, against all odds, was victorious and in possession of the territories of Judea and Samaria [E.H., The West Bank], Sinai and the Golan Heights.International law makes a clear distinction between defensive wars and wars of aggression. More than half a century after the 1948 War, and more than four decades since the 1967 Six-Day War, it is hard to imagine the dire circumstances Israel faced and the price it paid to fend off its neighbors' attacks.Who Starts Wars Does MatterProfessor, Judge Stephen M. Schwebel, past President of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) states the following facts:"The facts of the June 1967 'Six Day War' demonstrate that Israel reacted defensively against the threat and use of force against her by her Arab neighbors. This is indicated by the fact that Israel responded to Egypt's prior closure of the Straits of Tiran, its proclamation of a blockade of the Israeli port of Eilat, and the manifest threat of the UAR's [The state formed by the union of the republics of Egypt and Syria in 1958] use of force inherent in its massing of troops in Sinai, coupled with its ejection of UNEF."It is indicated by the fact that, upon Israeli responsive action against the UAR, Jordan initiated hostilities against Israel. It is suggested as well by the fact that, despite the most intense efforts by the Arab States and their supporters, led by the Premier of the Soviet Union, to gain condemnation of Israel as an aggressor by the hospitable organs of the United Nations, those efforts were decisively defeated."The conclusion to which these facts lead is that the Israeli conquest of Arab and Arab-held territory was defensive rather than aggressive conquest."Judge Sir Elihu Lauterpacht wrote in 1968, one year after the 1967 Six-Day War:"On 5th June, 1967, Jordan deliberately overthrew the Armistice Agreement by attacking the Israeli-held part of Jerusalem. There was no question of this Jordanian action being a reaction to any Israeli attack. It took place notwithstanding explicit Israeli assurances, conveyed to King Hussein through the U.N. Commander, that if Jordan did not attack Israel, Israel would not attack Jordan."Although the charge of aggression is freely made against Israel in relation to the Six-Days War the fact remains that the two attempts made in the General Assembly in June-July 1967 to secure the condemnation of Israel as an aggressor failed. A clear and striking majority of the members of the U.N. voted against the proposition that Israel was an aggressor."************************************************************ *********
Are the Europeans funding illegal Arab constructions on Israeli land?
Arabs are using European Union funding to violate court orders and continue their illegal building near Hebron.By: Ezra Stone, United with IsraelArabs in the Hirbet Z'nutah outpost have apparently defied a court order by continuing to illegally build structures at the location. Hirbet Z'nutah is located in the middle of an archaeological site in the southern Hebron Hills region of Judea. This time, the Arabs' illegal construction was reportedly completed using funding from the European Union (EU).Just six months ago, the High Court suspended demolition of the outpost provided that no additional construction take place. Allegedly flouting that commitment, the Arabs responsible for construction in Hirbet Z'nutah apparently used EU funds to build yet another illegal structure, reported Arutz 7."Construction of a school on a protected archaeological site, with EU funding, is a gross and blatant violation of the High Court's decision, as well as a violation of the European Convention on the Protection of Archaeological Heritage," said Yishai Hemo to Arutz 7. Hemo serves as Field Coordinator for Judea and Samaria for the Regavim organization, a watchdog that monitors illegal Arab constructions. As a result of the latest violation, Regavim plans to file another petition with the High Court of Justice in the following days."The offenders have sharpened their tactical skills, and have managed to pull the wool over the Court's eyes. They never intended to uphold their commitments in this matter. We will also be petitioning the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to demand that decisive action is taken in light of the European Union's illegal conduct," Hemo explained. While the illegal Arab outpost is located in Area C, and is thus under Israeli control and not subject to Palestinian Authority administration, the new structure flies PA flags. (For the Oslo Accords negotiated in 1995, Judea and Samaria alias Cisjordan or West Bank have been divided in 3 areas i.e. "A", "B" and "C", with Area "A" entirely administrated by the Palestinian Authority including police responsibility, Area "B" with Palestinian civilian administration but joint Israeli/Palestinian police responsibility, and Area "C" entirely administrated by Israel including police responsibility -note by E. Nahum). It remains to be seen whether Israeli authorities will be required to remove the most recent structure, a course of action that has been required several times since the illegal outpost was first started several year ago. In 2012, for example, Israeli authorities had to eliminate makeshift stables and tents set up there.
