Rabbis, Urge Citizens to Protest Destruction of Netiv Haavot in Gush Etzion slated for THIS TUESDAY, CHAS VESHOLOM! But Please, Not Another Kfar Maimon!

bs"d

Shalom, Shavu'a Tov,
SAVE NETIV HA'AVOT? Unfortunately, I can predict that this campaign to Save Netiv Ha'avot won't work.

Please encourage Rabbanim to Urge  Everyone to Protest the Destruction of Netiv HaAvot but not like they did at Kfar Maimon prior to the destruction of 22 Gush Katif communities.

LeChabek Their Pain VS a Real Fight to Prevent The Demolitions. What are You Choosing?

The video LECHABEK (to hug) that has been going around in solidarity of the families of Netiv HaAvot whose homes are slated for demolition G-d forbid,  this coming Tuesday June 12th seems very touching. But is it deceptive?

Rabbis Urge Citizens to Protest Destruction of Netiv Ha’avot Neighborhood initially was a welcome news item. But is it also deceptive?
http://www.jewishpress.com/news/israel/settlements-israel/rabbis-urge-citizens-to-protest-destruction-of-netiv-haavot-neighborhood/2018/06/09/

Please let me share my thoughts because I am having an uneasy feeling about all this.   Frankly it touches a live nerve.

I remember July 2005  in Kfar Maimon. Tens of thousands of us gathered to protest the Expulsion from Gush Katif.  All the protesters, men, women and children, were ghettoed inside Kfar Maimon, with only a narrow entrance in which to enter or leave.  I realize now, that it was all orchestrated, using religious leaders, leaders the crowd trusted, to basically lead and control the opposition

Everyone felt helpless that the expulsion was happening.   It was a brilliant approach of the orchestrators of the Disengagement to also orchestrate the opposition, to help fund and encourage organized protest, expressions of solidarity, grief, empathy and protest.  This way they gave the protesters an outlet in which to express themselves, while seeing that the concentrated energies to stop the expulsion, went nowhere.

Re: Netiv HaAvot... Who is behind the Opposition Campaign?
...In a letter signed by Rabbis Dov Lior, Tzfania Drori, Chaim Druckman, Shlomo Aviner, Eliezer Waldman, Yigal Levinstein, Chaim Steiner, Aryeh Stern, Yehoshua Zuckerman and others, the public was urged to join the evacuated families on the day of their eviction on Tuesday morning to offer support, encouragement and assistance.
“We call on the general public to come early to the rally and to remain to protest the desecration of G-d’s name in the destruction of homes in the Land of Israel,” the letter read.

The letter instructed protesters not to engage in any violence
Waiting till the last minute to gather en masse in an organized controlled fashion led by Rabbinic leaders to embrace the families of the soon to be evicted families to "offer support, encouragement and assistance", sounds like another Kfar Maimon in the works almost down to the T along  with instructions not to engage in  violence! Deja Vu.

From a logical perspective, this whole compensation package seems like a total waste of money (even though perhaps the Gush Etzion Council might not see it this way or perhaps they are blind).

This is not just about a few homes.  It is not merely a humanitarian matter (which it probably will become, G-d forbid).

These are acts of betrayal to the Jewish people which directly endangers all the troops on the Gaza border right now.

How so?

It empowers the  spirit of "March of Return" of the so called "Palestinian people".

In the stage of world opinion, demolitions of Jewish Homes by the Government of Israel sends ONE MESSAGE .

The message they, the enemy, wants Israel to broadcast is that Israel is Occupying the Land illegally.

Our enemies are willing to pray a price for that message... We should not be gullible and lured and duped.

After all, what is $17.2 million in the larger scheme of things?
http://www.jewishpress.com/news/israel/settlements-israel/rabbis-urge-citizens-to-protest-destruction-of-netiv-haavot-neighborhood/2018/06/09/
...In February, the cabinet of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the first stages of legalization of Netiv Ha’avot, which will pave the way for the potential construction of 350 more homes in the neighborhood once the process if finalized.
“The residents of Netiv Ha’avot have been waiting a long time for this,” he said.

The same month, government ministers authorized $17.2 million in funding for the Gush Etzion Regional Council, the municipality which includes Elazar and Netiv Ha’avot. Nearly half of the funds will go toward building a temporary neighborhood for the expelled families, who will also be receiving compensation of $6.88 million.
What  is the point of this total waste of money, demolishing perfectly  beautiful homes just to rebuild them?

In principle, why are we willing to "sell" Israel's rightful entitlement to these 15 beautiful homes for any price by accepting BeGatz biased decision that they are illegal, that they belong to some unknown Palestinians, that they must be demolished, and then go ahead and accept a generous package of $17.2 million dollars to demolish them and then rebuild them elsewhere?

For allowing and  even being an accomplice to this ideological betrayal to our Land, we are indirectly weakening our claim to Eretz Yisroel!

Right now,  according to Israel's Government under Netanyahu as Prime Minister  and Lieberman  as Defense Minister,  Hebron does not fall under Israel's Sovereignty. It is rather governed  under the "Civil Administration".

The Civil Administration (Hebrewהמנהל האזרחי‎, ha-Minhal ha-ʿEzraḥi) is the Israeli governing body that operates in the West Bank. It was established by the government of Israel in 1981, in order to carry out practical bureaucratic functions within the territories captured by Israel in 1967. While formally separate, it was subordinate to the Israeli military and the Shin Bet.[1]:133[2]:108
The Civil Administration is a part of a larger entity known as Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories(COGAT),[citation needed] which is a unit in the Defense Ministry of Israel. Its functions have largely been taken over by the Palestinian National Authority in 1994, however it still continues a limited operation to manage Palestinian population in the Area C of the West Bank and coordination with the Palestinian government. After 2002, the distinction set forth in the Oslo Accords restricting Israeli military operations in area A was de facto terminated.[3]

Ruach Acheret, the Spirit of Chevron is what is needed now!

We can continue to choose to share in the pain prematurely and write eulogies about the once beautiful homes... or actually try to prevent their destruction.

Here are Our Choices:

EITHER WE are Proactive and
  • Unite and Organize For Action a real campaign to STOP the planned Demolitions at Netiv HaAvot.
  • Unite and Organize For Action  with the Sovereignty Movement of Judea and Samaria and the push for the  implementation of  the Regulaion Law   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regulation_Law

  • Unite and Organize For Action a campaign to Demand that the IDF not be restrained when coming under attack be it terror kites, stones that kill, blockades and barricades, Molotov cocktails etc..
  • Unite and Organize For Action the campaign to put an end of  treasonous Bagatz overreach.  Many of the BaGatz decisions annul Torah.  Replace this High Court with one that resonates with Jewish Law.

OR
  • Be silent and hug the homeless families of Netiv HaAvot and offer support, encouragement and assistance.
  • Wait for additional curses and tragedy to strike ChasVeShalom!

Now a note about the IDF Restraint

Updated June 12, 2018

An IDF Soldier's Description of Experience in Gaza
https://www.jns.org/an-idf-soldiers-description-of-experience-in-gaza/

Besides the shameful success of the Kite arsonists on the Gaza fence to the tune of  $1.4 million in damages,
https://israelunwired.com/massive-gaza-terror-fires-destroying-israeli-fields-1-4m-in-damages/
here is another shameful example of IDF weakness.

Recent Shameful video, a Chillul Hashem,  of IDF restraint in Beit Rima near Ramallah,  June 6, 2018

Is the Defense Leadership under the Netanyahu's administration, acting like the Miraglim, the Spies in the Desert, who were fearful of the "Giants" in the Land (bad International PR) or are they acting with the spirit of  Joshua and Caleb, fearing G-d alone?

The dissenting leaders, Joshua and Caleb, spoke with the spirit of Hebron.  They gained strength from our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who are buried in Hebron with whom G-d made His Eternal Covenant with the Nation of Israel "To Your Seed I Will Give This Land".

Watching videos of armored vehicles, tank after tank,  with Chayalim getting stoned, forced to restrain themselves, not being allowed to retaliate, is frankly demoralizing. It is perceived  by our enemies as weakness.   Such orders of restraint literally endangers the lives of our Chayalim as it serves to add fuel to acts of terror against the Chayalim chas veshalom. It encourages many more such attacks.  Is Israel waiting for a tragedy to happen so they can get world permission to finally defend themselves?

Can you imagine if  Hilltop Youth dared to start throwing stones at armored vehicles of soldiers as they came to demolish homes in Netiv HaAvot.  Would the IDF restrain from responding to these "provocations", restrain from responding to the  "perpetrators  of  price tag terror" attacks and ignore these "terrorist kids" and let them get away with stoning? No,  of course not. Our kids are held to a higher standard as are our moral, humanitarian IDF soldiers in their orders of how to respond to Palestinian kite thrower arsonists and stoners.  We expect Jewish kids to be restrained and respectful when the soldiers go ahead and come to bulldoze Jewish homes.  Interesting to compare the response of security forces to Jewish kid dissenters, as compared to  Palestinians kid dissenters [whose homes are not being demolished but are merely following their indoctrination at UNRWA schools].

Now a Note about the BaGatz (Israel Supreme Court)

The Demolition Ruling of BaGatz of homes in Netiv HaAvot, and the extended incarceration of the hilltop youth, are among others,  treasonous rulings of the BaGatz, The Israel Supreme Court.  They are a reflection of a malignant growth that needs to be addressed and removed, not tolerated and appeased.

============================================================

Like opposition to our Hilltop Youth, the people wanted to be rid of the dissenting voices of Joshua and Caleb and wanted to stone them.  Please read the Torah portion of the week Parshath Shlach. https://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/9942/jewish/Chapter-14.htm

Blow the Trumpets! Territory Folks Should Stick Together: What Tikkun, What Lessons can be learned from the tragic murders of Rabbi Itamar ben Gal and Rabbi Raziel Shevach and Communal Tragedies? Action Alert!

bs"d

Here are 7 lessons after contemplating, listening to eulogies and reading media reports etc.

Lesson 1: Blow the Trumpets:  -

To cry out to Hashem in the event of great distress that affects the community as a whole.

The following Rambam in Hilchot Taaniyot in the Mishneh Torah was quoted by Rabbi Shlomo Diamond in a CD put out by learntorah.com RDC719  following the Azan tragedy in Brooklyn, NY Chanukah, Rosh Chodesh Tevet 5778.  Interestingly, both the Azan Family and the Sassoon Family tragedy happened on Rosh Chodesh a day designated for repentance and the sounding of Trumpets.

http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/951995/jewish/Taaniyot-Chapter-One.htm

Introduction to Mishneh Torah Hilchos Ta'aniyot

[This text contains] one positive commandment: To cry out to God in the event of great distress that affects the community as a whole. This mitzvah is explained in the following chapters.הלכות תעניות - הקדמהמצות עשה אחת והיא לצעוק לפני ה' בכל עת צרה גדולה שלא תבא על הצבור: וביאור מצוה זו בפרקים אלו:
It is a positive Torah commandment to cry out and to sound trumpets in the event of any difficulty that arises which affects the community, as [Numbers 10:9] states: "[When you go out to war... against] an enemy who attacks you and you sound the trumpets...."

Yael Shevach made a condolence visit to Miriam Ben-Gal, whose husband Itamar was stabbed to death in Ariel terror attack,  Their Husbands were murdered weeks apart. West Bank widows lament their common bond

There were eerie similarities between the two tragedies that took place within a month of each other."We are both educators, both Raziel and Itamar were Torah scholars, and both of us feel that we were chosen for this role," Yael Shevach said, explaining that "role" as one responsible for strengthening the settlement movement in their husbands' honor.
"Both Raziel and Itamar loved life, they both loved to dress and eat well. Raziel was killed on his way home from a circumcision and Itamar was on his way to a circumcision. Raziel's sister will be getting married in less than a month, and Miriam's sister will be getting married in less than a month," Yael Shevach added.

Lesson 2: ברית we must focus on the Eternal Covenant between Hashem and the Jewish People!

Brit Milah is a Sign of the Covenant.  אות ברית between G-d and the Nation of Israel. An Everlasting  Covenant that Hashem is giving to Avraham Avinu and to his seed thereafter, the Land of his sojourning for an everlasting possession....  Rabbi Shevach was coming from a Bris and Rabbi ben-Gal was going to a Bris.

Bereishit - Genesis - Chapter 17

And I will establish My covenant between Me and between you and between your seed after you throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant, to be to you for a God and to your seed after you.

14And an uncircumcised male, who will not circumcise the flesh of his foreskin-that soul will be cut off from its people; he has broken My covenant."ידוְעָרֵ֣ל | זָכָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־יִמּוֹל֙ אֶת־בְּשַׂ֣ר עָרְלָת֔וֹ וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מֵֽעַמֶּ֑יהָ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י הֵפַֽר:

Lesson 3: Territory folks should stick together! Push for Sovereignty over the entire Israel

Does it take a terror attack to settle the Land? Something is not right here! Why are we settling the Land simply in response to Terror attacks rather than because it's our Land to settle?  Why are we still demolishing homes in Netiv HaAvot? Let us push legislation to normalize all of Judea and Samaria as per the Levy Report and push Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria (google womeningreen Sovereignty movement).

Lieberman Submits Proposal to Legalize Havat Gilad

State efforts to provide legal and security solutions for the residents of Havat Gilad in response to the terror attack there last week continued on Sunday, as Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman went to the cabinet with a proposal to retroactively legalize the outpost and build new housing for those on disputed land.

Naftali Bennett promises to triple the city Har Bracha following this attack.
https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/241673
"In past years, many cities were born in response to murders. Kiryat Shmona, Maaleh Hahamisha, this is the answer. There are more families, more children, more schools, more towns, and more homes. When this is what sprouts up in front of the terrorists, they'll start to understand that they're banging their heads against a cement wall, and it's a waste of their time."

However there seems to be resistance from the Israeli Govt to apply Sovereignty over the entire Judea and Samaria even though there is wide support among the people and the Knesset.

Territory Folks Should Stick Together!

Let's stop this divide and conquer modus operandi which encourages each Yishuv to fend for themselves to address their individual needs discouraging banding together, working in unity to stop any demolition and injustice that is targeting another group of settlers or another community of settlers.

Lesson 4: Can we Help Save Home Demolitions in  Netiv HaAvot ?

Pending bulldozing of homes in Netiv HaAvot based on Judicial tyranny of Israel Supreme Court. http://www.jewishpress.com/?s=netiv+haavotהרס נתיב האבות Destruction in Netiv HaAvot. Bulldozers sent in to Netiv Avot February 6th.
QNch3kxnP79QDp6G7PBMYrS0P (did they really have to send in the bulldozers a month early adding insult to injury and more trauma to the families?)

My comments:  Indeed Bennett's words are comforting for the widow of Rabbi Itamar ben Gal as was the decision to legalize Havat Gilad to the widow of Rabbi Shevach.  But while these words of comfort were said, what is happening in Netiv HaAvot?  Bulldozers were already sent to demolish their homes.  Does it take a murder chas veShalom for Naftali Bennett and the MKs to finally send those bulldozers back from where they came.  Both Rabbi Itamar ben Gal and Rabbi Raziel Shevach were well respected in Dati Leumi circles.  Let their memories serve to unite all of the Yishuvim in Judea and Samaria with a demand not only for their own particular community but also to stop the pending demolition of Netiv HaAvot! and any future scheduled demolition as a way to actualize the fulfillment of our  Covenant with Hashem.

Lesson 5 Can We Save Elisha Odess from the Clutches of the Jewish Division of the Shabak?

This coming Monday, Elisha Odess is scheduled for a hearing.  This 16 year old kid was put under administrative detention, accused of a murder that he did not commit yet he confessed to, under torture and for the past 2, 3 years has been languishing in jail without ever having had a fair trial.

Naftali Bennett wrote an Oped in the New York Times in 2015 that painted the hilltop youth as terrorist Jewish Youth distinct from the Nationalist Camp.  This kind of Lashon Hara and Motzei Shem Ra isolating the hilltop youth has had devastating ramifications for these kids and their families.

For an example of an activist Par Excellence please read the letter Helen Freedman, Executive Director of AFSI (Americans For A Safe Israel) afsi.org who wrote such a letter to Knesset Members: http://conta.cc/2ErsM8V

The Sassoon Family, the Azan Family, the Shevach Family, the ben-Gal Family, the Salomon Family, the Ariel Family, Har Nof massacre victim's Families etc share something in common.  A member or members of their family served as Communal Sacrifice(s),  for Am Yisroel.  From all the speeches and Hespedim, this seems to be a consensus.  Each and everyone of these Korbanot seemed to be amazing and special souls.  The best of the best.  The finest of the fine.

Why did they deserve to die if not to be Mechaper Am Yisroel,  to atone for the collective sins of Am Yisroel?

Enough of human sacrifices! What lessons can Am Yisroel learn from these horrific human sacrifices... to wake us up and to do Teshuva ...so that we don't have to be witness to any more such horrific tragic events such as these?

Let us pray and yearn for the Beit HaMikdash for the opportunity to bring Korban Chatot Tzibbur the right way.

translation with the help of Interlinear Artscroll for weekdays.

Sin offerings of the Community and of the individual  -- These are the sin-offerings of the community: the he-goats of Rosh Chodesh and of the Festivals...their slaughter is in the north and the reception of their blood in a vessel of service is in the north.  Their blood requires four applications [one] on [each of] the four corners [of the Altar].  How is it done?  [The Kohen] ascended the [Altar] ramp, turned to the surrounding ledge and arrived at the corner which is south-east, [then at] the east-north [corner], the north-west [corner] and the west-south [corner].  The leftover blood he would pour onto the southern base.  They are eaten inside of the [Courtyard] curtains, by males of the priesthood, in any manner of preparation, on the day [of offering] and on the following night until midnight.
