" In the Shabak Political Division, there is a desire to mark the Jews as responsible for the problems," Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu said this morning.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi of Safed and a member of the Chief Rabbinical Council, said this morning on the radio program "Kalman-Lieberman" on " כאן ב" that he refused to meet with the GSS's, aka Shin Bet's political department.

Rabbi Eliyahu said that about a week ago, a man who introduced himself as a representative of the GSS called him and asked him to meet with him. "I told him," the Rabbi said, "Let me be well, there is nothing to meet with with you about."

 "I know them," the Rabbi answered Kalman Liebskind's question. "I once respected them. The GSS is a very serious body, but there is one wing and then there is another wing that is a political body.  "I have great appreciation for the GSS for the people who are doing the real work. As soon as graffiti is treated and given importance like the assassination of Rabin, I despise them."

במחלקה הפוליטית של השב"כ יש רצון לסמן את היהודים כאלה שאחראים לבעיות", כך אמר הבוקר הרב שמואל אליהו.

הרב שמואל אליהו, רב העיר צפת וחבר מועצת הרבנות הראשית אמר הבוקר בתכנית הרדיו "קלמן – ליברמן" ב"כאן ב", כי סרב להיפגש עם המחלקה הפוליטית, כלשונו, של השב"כ.

הרב אליהו סיפר כי לפני כשבוע התקשר אליו אדם שהציג את עצמו כנציג של השב"כ וביקש ממנו להיפגש עימו. "אמרתי לו", סיפר הרב, "תהיה לי בריא, אין לי מה להפגש איתך".

"אני מכיר אותם", ענה הרב לשאלתו של קלמן ליבסקינד, "פעם כיבדתי אותם, השב"כ זה גוף רציני מאד, אבל יש אגף אחד רציני ואגף אחר שהוא גוף פוליטי. יש לי הערכה אדירה לשב"כ לאנשים המצויים שעושים את העבודה האמיתית. ברגע שמטפלים בגרפיטי ומייחסים לו חשיבות כמו לרצח רבין אני בז להם".
