5 years ago Sheftel excused himself from representing Amiram ben Uliel from the ourset when he saw that they were treating Amiram like an Arab Jihadist Terrorist and denied Amiram basic human rights to meet with him, his lawyer, privately face to face. He predicted that there was no way this court would give Amiram a fair trial and there was no chance Amiram could be acquitted with such a court.
His predictions proved prophetic.
Such a court would differentiate with admission of the suspect of guilt under torture, and admission of guilt following torture... not as the torture was actually happening but with the torturer was accompanying the reinaction of the crime... making the latter admission permissable.
A kangaroo court.
He blames Shai Nitzan for authorizing inhumane torture to a Citizen of Israel treating him no different than a Muslim Jihad Terrorist.
