To be most effective, please address the root of the rise of Antisemitism in NY.
Antisemitism does not happen in a vacuum.
Leftist Democrats with a bias against Jews and Israel have had strong influence over NY City and State. Their influence has been left unchecked as a result of our Jewish leadership's own choice of advocacy or rather lack of. Antisemitism from within the Democratic party has not been effectively challenged while Antisemitism coming out of Republican groups has. The empowerment of the Quad in Congress by the Democratic Leadership is just one proof. Our continued choices at the ballot over the last several years. since Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg (Republican till 2010 after independent), is another.

I once went to a lecture and the lecturer pointed out the the word Antisemitism comes from the words Anti Shem. When there is a void of Hashem's Name, this void in the world is then filled with Antisemitism.
It seems that when Jews are not fulfilling their raison d'etres, our purpose on this earth, which is teaching and filling this universe with G-dliness, it results in Antisemitism.
Going back to the topic at hand...the increased Antisemitism in NY.
Jewish institutions, organizations and community centers depend heavily on funding coming from the city and state level. In the current reality this means we are dependent on funding coming from Democrats. We are understandably hesitant to rock the boat that might threaten such funding and will remain silent when speaking out critically of those that hold the purse strings and bend over backwards to put them in a positive light, thereby sweeping blatant hostility and concerns threatening Israel and Jews under the rug.
TeachNYS is just one example of an organization that receives large funding for very worthy projects to benefit our community .

TeachNYS has been proud to announce that they have received $60 million funding for Yeshiva security and $30 million for stem this year.
No one is disputing these are much needed and worthy programs. TeachNYS brought over 700 Yeshiva kids to Albany with closing remarks addressed by Letitia James Attorney General of New York. It was a nice educational, hands on lesson on civics, and a way to show appreciation.
But there is more to the story.

According to Aaron Tyk esq. Letitia James reached out and appointed a "special counsel" to argue in favor of the proposed NYSED regulation.

Yeshivas and private schools are very much against this regulation as they strongly believe that it seriously infringes on the parent's choice as per how they wish to educate their kids. I have reviewed the video and have to admit it seems that it is indeed antisemitic and Ms. Letitia James remarks in this case were justified. Nick Langworthy, Chair of the NY Republican Party agrees and condemns the video as well.
In all fairness we need to be vigilant for alt right hate also within the Republican party. While concerns for over-development in Rockland County is justified, the overtones of this video are not.

She investigates police criminal misconduct and brutality. She advocated for police to wear personal body cameras as they would protect residents from misconduct and police officers from false allegations. "James predicted the camera pilot program could reduce police brutality lawsuits, saving the city millions of dollars a year. " This to her credit makes lots of sense.

If numerous complaints of police criminal misconduct and brutality are not fairly investigated to its conclusion and they merely settle baseless claims, it can result in the decline of police morale being afraid to do their job properly. Ultimately this will make the city an unsafe place especially in places like Crown Heights, Boro Park and Williamsburg where the police might be afraid to start up with Black Lives Matter, African Americans who in the past are more likely to bring charges of police brutality based on their race yet it is fact that African Americans have committed many of the recent hate crimes, antisemitic attacks.
Charges of police brutality is the nonviolent weapon of progressive socialist leftists. As a result, police were unafraid to be aggressive against relatively peaceful Neturei Karta protesters of Pamele Geller and Noni Darwish who were protesting Linda Sarsour and sent them across the street but were very afraid of dispersing violent protesters with signs protesting police brutality whom they allowed in very close proximity to Pamele Geller and Linda Sarsour.
