The message you have just received was delivered by Mike Huckabee and includes a message from Huck PAC, his political action committee.
Robin,
Outgoing Secretary of State John Kerry (and what sweet words those are) lectured President-elect Trump on climate change -- pompous, condescending lectures being the native tongue of the Obama Administration. Read all the details at the link, along with a critic's notation that Kerry's recent flight to Antarctica to draw attention to CO2 emissions emitted more CO2 than the average American does in a year.
Just FYI: a reader of CNSNews.com noted that would be true if Kerry had taken a first class seat on a passenger airliner. He didn't. He jetted to Antarctica on a dedicated Boeing 757, which means he actually spewed more CO2 than 52 average Americans produce in a year. But then, he is a world class spewer of hot air.
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

Ludicrous Attacks Against Steve Bannon Don't Pass The Smell Test
By Mike Huckabee
Once again, the left is trying to tell us what to do—let's not let them!
The latest example of leftist bullying is the relentless campaign to force President-elect Donald Trump to separate himself from Stephen K. Bannon, his incoming White House counselor.
The left has sought to dictate to us—that is, people of faith, conservatives, and, broadly, the American people—for, frankly, the entirety of our lives. For decades, liberal legislators, liberal judges, and liberal "journalists" have tried to tell us what to do, what to think, and yes, who to hire. During that time, the left has scored its share of victories—in politics, in the culture, and the law. The most tragic of these leftist victories, of course, was the disastrous 1973 decision, Roe vs. Wade.
However, we've been fighting back! In 1980 we elected Ronald Reagan. In 1994, we elected Newt Gingrich's majority to Congress. And now, in 2016, we've elected Donald Trump and yet another Republican Majority on Capitol Hill.
So now, having seen their radical agenda thwarted by the voters this November, the leftists are taking a new approach: They are attempting to target a member of Donald Trump's staff. But their real target isn't Steve Bannon. Instead, their real target is the center-right agenda—including conservative judges—that the Trump campaign, with Steve Bannon's help, has embodied.
Perhaps I should tell you about the Steve Bannon I know. He is a conservative in his core—the kind of deep beliefs imprinted into him by his working-class background in a flag-waving blue-collar family in Norfolk, VA, as well as by his years of service in the US Navy, including in the hot zone of the Persian Gulf. And if you wish to know more about Steve's values, please take a look at this transcript of a speech he delivered in the Vatican in 2014—he uses the phrase "Judeo-Christian values" no fewer than ten times. It's worth noting that Steve's speech was delivered two years ago, long before anyone, except perhaps Donald Trump, had any idea that we would be where we are today.
In his work as executive chairman of Breitbart News, he has been on the edge of the populist-nationalist surge that helped provide the agenda for the Trump Revolution.
And then, of course, he joined the Trump campaign in August, and the rest is history.
Is Steve Bannon controversial? Sure. Has he made enemies? Sure—but only among those who don't know him well!
But of course, Steve Bannon's merits as a person, as well as a political strategist, don't matter to the left. The left wants to take him down, just as it wants to take Donald Trump down, just as it wants to take America as we know it down. The left hasn't given up on its dream of imposing its values on all of us. Forever.
I say: No More. We shouldn't let the left win.
Send a loud signal of opposition against leftist dominion. I hope that you will join me as we all stand prayerfully in a wall of support for Steve, and for the incoming Trump administration.
Media Integrity
By Mike Huckabee
The New York Times took the lead in throwing its journalistic integrity down the toilet and turning itself into an arm of the Clinton campaign. But then, they discovered that painting the Republican candidate (and half his supporters) as sexist, racist, Islamaphobic, homophobic xenophobes didn't work. Maybe after hearing every GOP presidential nominee since Eisenhower denounced as the next Hitler, people got tired of the left crying Wolfgang and tuned them out. So the editors vowed to try to do better and start committing actual journalism. But old habits die hard. Trump hasn't even started picking his Cabinet yet, and they're already raising shrill alarms about the sexist, racist, Islamaphobic, etc., monsters he has helping him pick those people. Can you imagine what they'll say about his actual picks?
The current focus of outrage is Trump campaign strategist Steve Bannon, formerly of Breitbart.com, whose appointment as a White House adviser sparked a major meltdown over what an evil, anti-Semitic, white supremacist he is (why, he's the next Hitler!) Before anyone lets the leftwing howling sweep them away, check out this article, "The Borking of Bannon," in the Jewish newspaper, The Algemeiner. The writer, Jewish author Ira Stoll, has had experience with Bannon and didn't even recognize him from the hysterical description in the Times. He points out how it's largely built out of guilt-by-association (a tactic liberals used to denounce as "McCarthyism" before they figured out how to make it work for them).
But of course, only conservatives are held responsible for what other people say. As Stoll notes, the Times, in the very same issue, quotes "experts" who want Trump to keep the Iran nuclear deal without noting that their book was "widely condemned by Jewish groups" and endorsed by David Duke.
Before you let yourself be roused into righteous rage by the latest media assault on any Trump ally, do some independent research to see how much truth there is to it, if any, and if the sources of those scary charges are reliable or have an agenda. As Mr. Stoll cleverly makes clear in this must-read article, if the New York Times and its publisher were given the same selective outrage treatment they are giving to Trump and his associates, it might well be known as the most sexist, racist, anti-Semitic newspaper on the planet.
