Trump's Policy on Israel/US Relations

Joint Statement from Jason Dov Greenblatt and David Friedman, Co-Chairmen of the Israel Advisory Committee to Donald J. Trump

Approximately seven months ago, we were blessed to have been tapped by Donald J. Trump to be his top advisors with respect to the State of Israel.... Each of these positions have been discussed with Mr. Trump and the Trump campaign, and most have been stated, in one form or another, by Mr. Trump in various interviews or speeches given by him or on his social media accounts. For those of you who are true friends of the State of Israel, and for those of you who believe that the State of Israel and the United States of America have an unbreakable friendship, we urge you to read the below....We would also like to express our gratitude to our friend, a great friend of the State of Israel, Donald J. Trump, who gave us the tremendous opportunity to serve in this capacity. May God bless the United States of America and the State of Israel.
· The unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel is based upon shared values of democracy, freedom of speech, respect for minorities, cherishing life, and the opportunity for all citizens to pursue their dreams.
· Israel is the state of the Jewish people, who have lived in that land for 3,500 years. The State of Israel was founded with courage and determination by great men and women against enormous odds and is an inspiration to people everywhere who value freedom and human dignity.
· Israel is a staunch ally of the U.S. and a key partner in the global war against Islamic jihadism. Military cooperation and coordination between Israel and the U.S. must continue to grow.
· The American people value our close friendship and alliance with Israel — culturally, religiously, and politically. While other nations have required U.S. troops to defend them, Israelis have always defended their own country by themselves and only ask for military equipment assistance and diplomatic support to do so. The U.S. does not need to nation-build in Israel or send troops to defend Israel.
· The Memorandum of Understanding signed by the American and Israeli Governments is a good first step, but there is much more to be done. A Trump Administration will ensure that Israel receives maximum military, strategic and tactical cooperation from the United States, and the MOU will not limit the support that we give. Further, Congress will not be limited to give support greater than that provided by the MOU if it chooses to do so. Israel and the United States benefit tremendously from what each country brings to the table — the relationship is a two way street.
· The U.S. should veto any United Nations votes that unfairly single out Israel and will work in international institutions and forums, including in our relations with the European Union, to oppose efforts to delegitimize Israel, impose discriminatory double standards against Israel, or to impose special labeling requirements on Israeli products or boycotts on Israeli goods.
· The U.S. should cut off funds for the UN Human Rights Council, a body dominated by countries presently run by dictatorships that seems solely devoted to slandering the Jewish State. UNESCO's attempt to disconnect the State of Israel from Jerusalem is a one-sided attempt to ignore Israel's 3,000-year bond to its capital city, and is further evidence of the enormous anti-Israel bias of the United Nations.
· The U.S. should view the effort to boycott, divest from, and sanction (BDS) Israel as inherently anti-Semitic and take strong measures, both diplomatic and legislative, to thwart actions that are intended to limit commercial relations with Israel, or persons or entities doing business in Israeli areas, in a discriminatory manner. The BDS movement is just another attempt by the Palestinians to avoid having to commit to a peaceful co-existence with Israel. The false notion that Israel is an occupier should be rejected.
· The Trump administration will ask the Justice Department to investigate coordinated attempts on college campuses to intimidate students who support Israel.
· A two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians appears impossible as long as the Palestinians are unwilling to renounce violence against Israel or recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. Additionally, the Palestinians are divided between PA rule in the West Bank and Hamas rule in Gaza so there is not a united Palestinian people who could control a second state. Hamas is a US-designated terrorist organization that actively seeks Israel's destruction. We will seek to assist the Israelis and the Palestinians in reaching a comprehensive and lasting peace, to be freely and fairly negotiated between those living in the region.
· The Palestinian leadership, including the PA, has undermined any chance for peace with Israel by raising generations of Palestinian children on an educational program of hatred of Israel and Jews. The larger Palestinian society is regularly taught such hatred on Palestinian television, in the Palestinian press, in entertainment media, and in political and religious communications. The two major Palestinian political parties — Hamas and Fatah — regularly promote anti-Semitism and jihad.
· The U.S. cannot support the creation of a new state where terrorism is financially incentivized, terrorists are celebrated by political parties and government institutions, and the corrupt diversion of foreign aid is rampant. The U.S. should not support the creation of a state that forbids the presence of Christian or Jewish citizens, or that discriminates against people on the basis of religion.
· The U.S. should support direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians without preconditions, and will oppose all Palestinian, European and other efforts to bypass direct negotiations between parties in favor of an imposed settlement. Any solutions imposed on Israel by outside parties including by the United Nations Security Council, should be opposed. We support Israel's right and obligation to defend itself against terror attacks upon its people and against alternative forms of warfare being waged upon it legally, economically, culturally, and otherwise.
· Israel's maintenance of defensible borders that preserve peace and promote stability in the region is a necessity. Pressure should not be put on Israel to withdraw to borders that make attacks and conflict more likely.
· The U.S. will recognize Jerusalem as the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state and Mr. Trump's Administration will move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.
· Despite the Iran Nuclear deal in 2015, the U.S. State Department recently designated Iran, yet again, as the leading state sponsor of terrorism — putting the Middle East particularly, but the whole world at risk by financing, arming, and training terrorist groups operating around the world including Hamas, Hezbollah, and forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The U.S. must counteract Iran's ongoing violations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding Iran's quest for nuclear weapons and their noncompliance with past and present sanctions, as well as the agreements they signed, and implement tough, new sanctions when needed to protect the world and Iran's neighbors from its continuing nuclear and non-nuclear threats.
Joint Statement from Jason Dov Greenblatt and David Friedman, Co-Chairmen of the Israel Advisory…

Silencing Muezzin Noise in Jerusalem

Bs"d

Yasher Koach to Jerusalem Councilman Arieh King for his efforts to normalize life for Jews in Jerusalem.

Residents of the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev emulated a muezzin call early Thursday morning in front of the Beit Hakerem residence of Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat to protest the ongoing disturbance from Muslim calls to prayer emanating from the Shuafat, Beit Hanina and A-Ram neighborhoods.

"This morning we had to shatter the tranquility of Beit Hakerem in Jerusalem as part of our struggle with the muezzin noise [with] loudspeakers in order to emulate the sounds of mosques disturbing thousands of families in the various neighborhoods of Jerusalem," said Yossi Davidoff, one of the organizers.

Damning Op-Ed Exposes How Hillary's Top Aides Are Rabidly Anti-Israel

SO IS HILLARY.

Will the American Jewish community continue to stand by her?

By Tiffany Gabbay, TRUTH REVOLT

hillary-suha-arafatIts no secret that the majority of American Jews identify as Democrat and are heartily embracing Hillary Clinton as their pick for president. Many members of the Jewish-Democrat community mistakenly believe that, unlike President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton is actually a friend to Israel, but newly released emails prove what critics of the former Sec. of State have known for quite some time — that she's anything but.

new column penned by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach sheds light on the anti-Israel bent of Clinton's top advisers, thus begging the question: Why would someone supportive of Israel surround herself with such people? From Sid Blumenthal to former US Ambassador to Israel Thomas Pickering, Clinton's aides have proven, through the written word, how they really feel about the Jewish State:

It's already been established that one of Hillary Clinton's most trusted advisers, Sid Blumenthal, sent her dozens of anti-Israel articles, ideas and pieces of advice during her time as secretary of state. But the stream of anti-Israel advice received by Hillary was much more comprehensive than that which came from just one adviser. In the entire batch of Hillary's emails, you will be hard pressed to find a single email that is sympathetic towards the Jewish state, from any of the people on whom she relied.

The negative, poisonous approach towards Israel throughout this cache of emails shows the atmosphere that Hillary had established around herself. These emails seem to demonstrate that a huge segment of her close advisers and confidants were attacking Israel, condemning Netanyahu, and strategizing about how to force Israel to withdraw from Judea and Samaria at all costs.

Below is a sampling of the kind of biased "advice" Hillary Clinton received by her top aides dating back years:

Sandy Berger was Hillary's foreign policy adviser during her 2008 presidential campaign. In September 2010, he sent Hillary ideas on how to pressure Israel to make concessions for peace. Berger acknowledged "how fragile Abbas's political position [is]," and how "Palestinians are in disarray," and "Failure is a real possibility." Berger was well aware, and informed Hillary, of the very real possibility that Israel would be placing its national security at grave risk in a deal that would very likely fail and lead to a Hamas takeover. But Berger felt the risks to Israeli lives were worth it. He advised of the need to make Netanyahu feel "uneasy about incurring our displeasure…"

Berger emphasized the need "to convince the prime minister — through various forms of overt persuasion and implicit pressure — to make the necessary compromises" and talks of the "possibility — to turn [Netanyahu's] position against him."

Boteach also notes how Berger accused American Jews of engaging in racism towards President Obama:

"At a political level, the past year has clearly demonstrated the degree to which the US has been hamstrung by its low ratings in Israel and among important segments of the domestic Jewish constituency…" He then added, "domestically, he faces a reservoir of skepticism on this issue which reflects many factors, including inexcusable prejudice."

Boteach goes on to name Anne Marie Slaughter, Hillary's director of policy planning from 2009 to 2011 and Robert Russo, a top aide to Clinton, as additional sources of anti-Israel sentiment within the Clinton camp:

She [Slaughter] wrote to Hillary, "This may be a crazy idea… Suppose we launched a 'Pledge for Palestine' campaign… Such a campaign among billionaires/multi-millionaires around the world would reflect a strong vote of confidence in the building of a Palestinian state…"

She added, "there would also be a certain shaming effect re Israelis who, would be building settlements in the face of a pledge for peace."

Hillary's response to this email: "I am very interested-pls flesh out. Thx."

Meanwhile, Russo sent an email to Clinton in 2012 regarding the passing of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's father. Russo encouraged Clinton to offer the Israeli PM her condolences (because she would not have thought of that on her own), while at the same time including an anti-Israel article in the email attacking both the PM and his late father as warmongers:

The article notes, "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly denied that his father was a one-dimensional ideologue. He further emphasized that he himself was a different person from his father." But then it goes on to say, without providing any proof whatsoever, "Israelis seemed in the dark about the extent of paternal influence on their leader," and "To understand Bibi, you have to understand the father."

It gets worse. Boteach also highlights how Thomas Pickering, former US Ambassador to Israel, urged Clinton in 2011 to foment Palestinian unrest — "just like Tahrir Square" — in an attempt to force Israel's hand in peace negotiations.

Boteach's piece provides additional examples of the virulently anti-Israel aides Hillary Clinton has surrounded herself. While a a tad lengthy, it is very much worth reading a passing along. It can be accessed in its entirety here.

The main issue is that American Jews, by and large, simply cannot decouple themselves from their Democrat-identity because to them it would mean embracing the complete opposite — the ideals and politics held by right-wing Christians. Most Jewish Democrats are married to the pro-choice, gay-marriage, climate-change and social-justice movements far more than they are to Israel advocacy. I've written about this issue in depth and unfortunately, Israel barely even registers as an identifying-component of American Jews' "Jewish identity."

Recall that a majority of Jewish voters supported Obama not once but twice. Sadly until Jewish Democrats engage in some serious self-reflection, there is little hope that as a community it will stop supporting Clinton no matter how anti-Israel she proves to be.

HILLARY THE ANTI-ISRAELI LEAKER

Last year, this writer's column on Hillary Clinton was published by Accuracy in Media. The article described how a former Department of Justice prosecuting attorney, Larry Klayman, who now works as an independent government watchdog, said that he believes former Secretary of State Clinton was responsible for leaking classified intelligence regarding the military plans of Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Jewish State's intelligence and military officials with the goal of destroying Iran's facilities used to create a nuclear bomb.

In a news story published in the Washington Post, reporter Anne Gearan wrote that a possible reason for the release of Israel's top secret plans to a New York Times reporter was intended to curtail any action by Netanyahu, since President Barack Obama and his minions feared that Israel had the technical and strategic expertise to launch a sneak attack on Iran in order to eliminate their nuclear threat. Unfortunately, as the Russian delivery of an S-300 missile defense system drew near, such a surreptitious strike became improbable.

Both the President and former Secretary of State Clinton should be forced to legally come clean about this serious breach of national security.

Roseanne Barr lashes out at 'anti-Semitic' Hillary

Articles: Hillary's Jew-Hate Code – American Thinker

Hillary Clinton is an Alinsky disciple, going back to her Wellesley College days, fifty years ago, long before old age left its indelible marks on her.  Half a century ago, Hillary was thoroughly indoctrinated by first-generation feminist leftists, for four whole years, until she wrote her B.A. thesis in praise of Saul Alinsky and his Rules for Radicals.  From Goldwater girl to leftist radical in just four years.

Alinsky's Rules for Radicals makes a major point of labeling "the enemy."  "The enemy," he preached, "is the middle class."

That means you and me, guys and gals, all of us, regardless of creed, color, or country of ancestors.  Or LBGTQ status, or whatever deplorable basket the left wants to stuff you into.  Saul Alinsky was a political hatemonger who inspired a whole generation of leftoids.  Hillary is one of them.  Obama is another.

What makes ordinary middle-class people "the enemy" is not our skin color.  Justice Clarence Thomas is a black man who has been viciously scapegoated by the left, ever since he was nominated to the Court by President Bush I.  What they hate so much about Justice Thomas is not his color.  It's his political stance as a stalwart constitutionalist.  What we love and celebrate about Clarence Thomas is exactly what they hate.  It's as simple as that.

Hillary Clinton's emails reveal an anti-Semitic streak in Democratic Party

Roseanne: Hillary and Her 'Nazi' Advisors Will Be 'Death of Israel'

Comedian and former presidential candidate Roseanne Barr blasted "Jew hater" Hillary Clinton and her "filthy Nazi" advisors on social media this week, arguing that if Clinton were to win the presidency in November, it would mean the "death of Israel."

In a series of Twitter posts, the 63-year-old Roseanne star blasted Clinton for surrounding herself with "anti-Semitic" advisers including Huma Abedin and Sidney Blumenthal.

"[H]illary Clinton is surrounded by jew haters who make fun of the holocaust & jewish suffering yet her mkultra supporters call Trump a bigot!" Barr tweeted.
