I love this initiative to support Israeli products especially the products of Judea and Samaria! . Especially with the BDS movement in full swing targeting Judea and Samaria!
This year, the year following the Shemittah year, we need to be extra careful not to conduct business as usual with Israeli agricultural products grown in the Shemittah year and buy products labeled Yevul Shishi, which is produce not grown in the Sabbatical year but the year prior. Or any of the other years. Any farmer that has shown a leap of faith and did not work the Land in the Shemittah Year should be acknowledged and blessed with heavenly blessings. While there are Rabbinic dispensations to get around the Sabbaticcal year, there is much to gain by raising awareness of the special farmers who kept the Shemittah according to the Laws of the Torah in the Spirit of Shabbat Haaretz. As time goes by this won't be an issue. It's not a bad thing to raise the consciousness of Shemittah since by giving the Land to G-d in the Shemittah year, we demonstrate to ourselves and to the world that the Land does not belong neither to Non Jews and it doesn't even belong to Jews. It belongs to the Almighty as it says Ki Li Kol HaAretz, that the entire land belongs to ME (meaning G-d) who then decides to whom he will bequeath it. G-d has decreed that the Land belongs to the Israelites so long as they keep the commandments.
This is what makes the Land of Israel so H-ly. It has many commandments associated with the Land which imbues the Land with Kedushat Haaretz, making it a Holy Land.
Will the Palestinians keep the commandments of Shemittah, or Leqet Shikcha and Peah (the produce that is left to the poor as the owner gathers in his crops. ) How about Teruma and Maaser? Do the Palestinians have any inclination or desire to keep the commandments that are instructed for the Jews alone. Under Israel's Sovereignty, the nonJew will live in peace and prosperity if he chooses to honor Israel's Sovereignty and the 7 Noahide Laws. The Jew has special obligations which in turn merits him to be a member of the Chosen People. The other Nations don't have these obligations. If they voluntarily accept it upon themselves than they would be welcomed into the Nation of Israel. But most really don't want the headache as they see it...and Israel discourages people from becoming converts since it's very hard....
