Fwd: Victim of Terror Attack - Howie Rothman of Toronto seriously injured. (has wife and 10 children bli ayin hara)

Subject: Victim of Terror Attack - Howie Rothman of Toronto

I am sending this out to my entire list, in all parts of the world.  If you are not in Canada and need information about donations in other countries please be in touch.

Within Canada, if you are not familiar with Beth Oloth, I am.  I know the people personally. Beth Oloth is a dependable and very trustworthy charity fund. You can feel comfortable sending your donations through them.

Paul

Hi Everyone:

We are writing you with respect to the terrible tragedy of last week in Israel, where a number of people were killed or seriously injured while praying in Shul.

One of the individuals seriously injured, is a former Torontonian, Howie Rothman, who graduated from the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (CHAT).  As you probably have read, his injuries are very serious and it is unlikely he will be able to work in the foreseeable future and in addition he will be incurring major medical expenditures.

As he was a member of the Toronto community and a graduate of one of our schools, we would very much like to help him financially (including his wife and 10 children).  We are therefore asking people to contribute as much as they can, to a fund that has been established to assist the victims of the terror attack.

In order to contribute, you can mail a cheque, payable to BETH OLOTH, to:  Beth Oloth, 525 Glengrove Ave., Toronto, Ont. M6B 2H1   (Alternatively, you can drop it off at Ira's house, 17 Erica Ave.)

You will receive a tax deductible receipt for your donation.

Your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar by anonymous donors in the U.S., provided that you make a commitment by this Friday.  (For example, if a person donates $100, they may get back approximately $40 as a donation tax credit, so the cost to the donor is $60 while the victims receive $200).

In order to commit to a donation, you would need to write a short e-mail to Mordechai Rothschild, MRothschild@canaccordgenuity.com and say in the e-mail how much you are donating.  The cheque should be received by Beth Oloth by the end of next week.

Please indicate on the cheque memo "Har Nof - Howie Rothman".  (If you want the cheque to go to all of the families affected by the terror attack, please put "Har Nof Families").

Thank you very much for your help in this.

Hashem Yikom Damam

...The text of the resolution of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah contains the statements:  "The foundation of the Jewish people's right to the Holy Land is based on the Torah and the prophets.... A Jewish State not based on the principles of Torah is a denial of Jewish origin, is opposed to the identity and to the true stature of our people, and undermines the basis of existence of our people...Any relinquishment of the Holy Land given to the Jewish people by G-d has no validity" (HaPardes, 11:6) See page 8

Dear Knesset Members:

Now is the time to once again reaffirm Torah and the Prophets that Har Habayit is the foundation of Eretz Yisroel and that Judea and Samaria is the Biblical Heartland.  Whether or not Jews should ascend Har HaBayit is a side issue.
The Arabs are addressing the very core of our belief system and we must respond in kind and not be afraid.

In 2007, Rav Eliashiv encouraged Rav Perlow to speak out for Jerusalem.   Sunday, December 23, 2007
...I blogged, this past Thanksgiving, at the Agudah Convention in Stamford Connecticut, on Motzei Shabbos,  the theme was an Undivided Jerusalem.  Rav Perlow, the Noveminsker, the Rosh Agudath Yisroel spoke.  He said that he actually took a plane recently to Eretz Yisroel for the sole purpose of speaking to Rav  Eliashiv and Rav Shteinman regarding this matter.  Rav Eliashiv said clearly that he is against giving away parts of Yerushalyim. Rav Shteinman also agreed.  Rav Eliashiv told Rav Perlow that he can say so publicly in his name and with full strength (Bechol Hatokef).  Rav Eliashiv said "Will we have to ask permission of the Yishmaelim to daven at the Kosel?"  Rav Perlow asked the audience regarding the Gov't of Israel "Can we trust them with Security???"

New Israel Fund Annual Report - Building Progressive Change in Israel - New Initiatives for Democracy

bs"d

Dear Fellow Activists and Supporters of Israel.

TOROSSIAN: Americans Who Fund The Families of Terrorists  Useful Idiots
http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/torossian-americans-who-fund-families-terrorists

NIF has given Grants to many NGO's that undermine Israel and empowers Israel's enemies.  Here is an opportunity to see who donates to NIF and encourage them to direct their contributions to Organizations that truly support Israel rather than empowers her enemies.  See Donor list starting Page 9 of 17. Partnerships and Programs can be seen on Page 8. NIF is proud of its progressive, liberal, human rights, peace initiatives to challenge right wing bias in media, stop the spread of right wing misinformation etc..

Actually, probably in this topsy turvy world of today, the human rights they protect are human rights of terrorists and/or their havens like hospitals, UN Schools, ambulances whom they cowardly use for cover, their peace initiatives protect a lying government bent on the destruction of Israel and her unarmed civilian population..  Challenging right wing bias means to stifle truth and withhold  the full story if it in anyway is not consistent with its leftist bias,  including the use of human shields, incitement of IDF and misrepresent what really happened with selected snippets to create a distorted narrative.  NIF partnerships and projects serves to undermine Israel's rightful claim to the Land of Israel and Israel's right to protect its residents and  her Biblical Homeland.

From the NIF Web Site.

New Israel Fund Annual Report http://www.nif.org/about/financials

Taken from the NIF website:
Israel was established to be both a Jewish homeland and a democracy. Yet, over the past decade, Israel has endured an assault on liberal democratic values and a growing defiance of democratic norms, endangering freedom of speech and conscience as well as minority rights. Overt racism, ultra-nationalism, and xenophobia are on the rise.
The eruptions of violence and incitement following the murder of the three Israeli teenagers this summer and during the fighting in Gaza are only the latest examples of a surge of extremism threatening the fabric of Israeli society.
NIF seeks to promote a vision of Israel as a just, democratic and egalitarian society. To that end, NIF is now beginning a series of major investments as part of a bold effort to strengthen and expand the pro-democracy, progressive forces in Israel.
We're calling this new set of programs NIF's New Initiatives for Democracy (NIF-D).
NIF-D is designed to complement our existing work and create an ecosystem in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Please take a look at the new programs and projects we are funding, and know that even when some of our strategies change, our core programs, as well as our fundamental values, remain constant.
Your Support We're raising an extra $2 million in 2014 to support this work.  Help return Israel to its liberal roots.
The StrategiesNIF-D brings together several strategies to boost progressive forces in Israel and to expand the camp of Israelis speaking out for democratic values. Learn more about these efforts.
The NIF EcosystemNIF's work promoting civil rights, religious freedom, and social justice will be supported by NIF-D. See how it fits together.

My comments about the NIF (Robin)

With friends like these who needs enemies?

Their New Initiatives for Democracy will vote in Hamas.
Do Not Stop Sharing This Until Every Person Who Cares About Women Sees This.  Muslim Women speak for Abused Muslim women in the Muslim world.

I lived in the ultra Nationalist Right Community of Kiryat Arba.  I can honestly attest that their women were respected by their men. It is part and parcel of their ultra nationalist right ideology and education. Basic human and women's rights are a given and lack of such rights are intolerable in their society.

Shall we replace a healthy Jewish Society with an unhealthy Muslim one so that we can bring in New Initiatives funded by NIF?

Islamists: Destruction is a Matter of Time by Mitchell Bard

Islamists: "Destruction is a Matter of Time"
by Mitchell Bard
November 25, 2014 at 5:00 am
"If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. The Jews are infidels not because I say so but because Allah does... They aren't our enemies because they occupy Palestine; they would be our enemies even if they had not occupied anything." — Muhammad Hussein Ya'qub, Egyptian cleric.
Muslim extremists trust that time is in their side, in part because they are on the threshold of acquiring nuclear weapons. Once Iran and other Muslim countries have this capability, they will have the military means to blackmail their oil-rich neighbors, destroy Israel and threaten Europe.
What makes negotiations with Iran, ISIS, Hamas or any other Islamist group impossible is that their leaders believe they are acting according to the immutable word of God. America, Israel, other Muslims with whom they disagree, cannot do anything to satisfy them except "submit" (the Arabic word "Islam" means "submission"). As Egyptian cleric Muhammad Hussein Ya'qub said in a televised sermon in 2009, "If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. The Jews are infidels not because I say so but because Allah does... They aren't our enemies because they occupy Palestine; they would be our enemies even if they had not occupied anything."
Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and other terror groups do not conceal their intentions. The Hamas covenant explicitly calls for Israel's destruction and does not distinguish between Israelis and Jews:
Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious... It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine... It is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders...
The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: "The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say, 'O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him'".... There is no solution for the Palestine question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. Palestine is an Islamic land.
Regrettably, this is why "solving the conflict with the Palestinians," or even recognizing a Palestinian State, will not bring peace and tranquility to the Middle East.
The radical Islamic focus on Israel serves as an easy rallying point for the masses in the Middle East and Europe; however, the goal of jihad for many Muslims extends beyond eliminating or subjugating Israeli Jews. According to caliph 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, any land previously occupied by Muslims cannot be surrendered. No single Arab regime -- or number of regimes acting together -- has the right to break this trust and give up any of this land, whether in Israel or Spain (Al-Andalus). Reconquering the lands is considered a solemn religious duty, but the obligation does not stop there; as an ISIS recruiter told Der Spiegel, the Koran says that one should kill or expel unbelievers wherever one finds them.
Today Israel, tomorrow Spain, and then...? Left, Hamas' 25th anniversary logo shows all of Israel colored in Hamas' Islamic green. Right, a translated Islamic State map that includes all formerly Islamic-ruled lands that they plan to reconquer.
The Islamists are in no hurry to fulfill their goals. An Arab adage says, "A man who gains his revenge after 40 years is acting in haste." Ahmed Yousef, political adviser to then Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas, said it all in the title of his book, "The End of the Jewish State: Just a Matter of Time."
Muslim extremists trust that time is on their side, in part because they are on the threshold of acquiring nuclear weapons. Once Iran and other Muslim countries likely to follow its example have this capability, they will have the military means to blackmail their oil-rich neighbors, destroy Israel, and threaten Europe. Perhaps then the West will realize it is in a religious war.

Hitler's Furies:
German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields.

Wendy Lower, John K. Roth Chair of History and Director of the Human Rights Center at Claremont McKenna College, for a discussion of her new book, Hitler's Furies: German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields

This startling book sheds light on the ignored reality of women's participation in the Holocaust. The long-held picture of German women holding down the home front during the war, as loyal wives and cheerleaders for the Führer, pales in comparison to Wendy Lower's incisive case for the massive complicity, and worse, of the 500,000 young German women she places, for the first time, directly in the killing fields of the expanding Reich. Hitler's Furies builds a fascinating and convincing picture of a morally "lost generation" of young women swept up in the nationalistic fervor of the Nazi movement-a twisted political awakening that turned to genocide. She uncovers stories of female brutality as chilling as any in history, challenging our deepest beliefs: genocide is women's business too, and the evidence can be hidden for seventy years.

Wendy Lower is the John K. Roth Chair of History and Director of the Human Rights Center at Claremont McKenna College. Prior to that, Lower was a German Research Foundation Fellow at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich. She is a member of the Academic Committee of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, serves on the academic advisory board of Yahad-in-Unum (Paris), and is an editor of Dapim: Studies on the Holocaust.
