The indictment against Uriyah Cohen (family picture above), owner of Tzofnat Farm, has exposed serious misconduct by police and prosecutors, including shifting narratives and disproven claims.
Contrary to police assertions, Cohen and community members actively searched for their stolen herd in coordination with the army, without inciting violence.
Prosecutors falsely alleged that Cohen blocked an Arab vehicle for “unknown reasons” and issued threats, while Cohen explained he did so because the occupants had just attacked searchers.
Although police claimed during his three-week detention that he shot and injured an Arab, the indictment charges only firing warning shots with no injuries.
The case lacks any racist or terrorist motive and omits Arab attacks on the searchers. It appears driven by political pressure rather than facts, targeting a respected community member.
