Dear Rabbi Tennenbaum of Iggud HaRabonim and my List: amv"sh
Please note: The Chabad flier below says that we want to protest Netanyahu willingness to give away Jerusalem, Golan and West Bank (Judea and Samaria) I asked Raanan Isseroff, one of the organizers of this rally, where his proof was that Netanyahu is about to agree to giving away the Golan, I had heard about talks with Syria but not anything concrete. . Giving up the Golan seems to be clearly out of the consensus of the Israeli public. Raanan pointed me to the CIA website which calls the Golan " Israel occupied territory."
It is Israel's ambiguity regarding this matter that is causing all this confusion.
It seems to me that any willingness on the part of Israel to negotiate away territory be it in the Golan or in Judea and Samaria and failure of the Gov't of Israel to dispute maps such as the one on the CIA website calling either the Golan or the West Bank "occupied territory" is indicative sadly of Israeli's lack of conviction of Israel's entitlement and leads many to conclude that Netanyahu is about to give away the Golan Heights to Syria just like he is willing to give away Judea and Samaria to Palestinian Terrorists. I see that the purpose of the rally is to clearly speak out for Israel's entitlement to all of the Jewish settlements withinJudea, Samaria and the Golan and end the confusion.. Since it is Chol Hamoed I think it would be great to have some entertainment there so that families can come and enjoy as well.

SAVE THE DATE – TUESDAY, SEPT.28, 2-5 P.M., Across from the Israeli Consulate, Second Avenue between 42nd & 43rd Streets, New York City
Hundreds of Israelis will be joining AFSI and all groups concerned with the preservation of a whole Israel to speak against extending the construction freeze, and for the end of appeasement and give-aways of land and security in the Jewish homeland. While Israel's holiest places are threatened- Jerusalem, Hebron, Judea and Samaria, and while Arabs build without constraint throughout the Galilee, the Negev, in Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria, Israel's very existence is at stake.
The hosting of Iran's Ahmadinejad at the United Arab Nations underscores the west's inability to take the Iranian nuclear threat seriously. Israel, the country most immediately threatened with extermination by Iran, has critical decisions to make. Its leaders must know that Americans are with them.
During the Sukkot holiday, when we live and eat in fragile booths to commemorate the exodus from Egypt and the embrace of freedom in the promised land, let us speak with one voice in support of our beloved inheritance. It's time for us to say – "here I am" – when asked, "where are you?"

Sincerely,
Robin Ticker
