Thursday, July 23, 2020, 12:03 ‎The Petah Tikva Magistrates Court ordered the release of the three Jewish agriculturalists who were detained on Monday, July 20, after experiencing a brutal attack

near Ma'aleh Shomron two weeks previously. The court rejected the police demand for release on condition of severe restrictions and released two of the agriculturalists on condition of several days distancing from the site of the attack and the other agriculturalist was released to several days of house arrest.
Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar, who represented the agriculturalists stated, "The police demanded the release of the suspects under extremely restrictive conditions, including house arrest, bail, guarantees, and distancing orders, most of which the court rejected.
"With regard to one of the agriculturalists, the court ruled that for the remainder of the week he will remain at his farm. In a week all of the agriculturalists will be able to return to their routine and cultivate the land [the site of the attack]."
Yossi Dagan, the Shomron Regional Council Head, who assisted with the release of the detainees: "I welcome the court's decision, the correct decision. … It is good that the court ordered the release of the agriculturalists.
"The agriculturalists who were attacked are normative and law-abiding citizens who were the victims of a brutal attack by an inflamed Arab mob. They are the victims, not the attackers, and the State of Israel should commend them. Every civilian, policeman and soldier should know that if he is attacked by terrorists from the Palestinian Authority and uses his weapon in order to defend his life, he will receive full backing and that is the way that is should be."
Several days previously Dagan sent a letter to Major-General Moshe Bareket, the Yehuda and Shomron Police Commander, explaining that the agriculturalists were working on land purchased and registered according to the law, were faced with an attack by a mob which directly endangered their lives, and if they had not used their weapons in self defense, the incident would have ended differently.
Knesset Member Betzalel Smotrich addressed Amir Ohana, the Interior Minister, concerning the police conduct in the case, and stated that this was not the first time that the Central Unit of the Yehuda and Shomron Police had implemented "an outrageous policy against Jews who were saved by a miracle from lethal injury. The victim turns into the accused, while the Arab rioters are barely interrogated, and certainly not detained."
Earlier today (Thursday), the mother of one of the detainees called for their release from remand: "I want the public to know about this incident. Of course its in someone's vested interest for no-one to know about it and no-one to hear about it, but today, in the State of Israel, there are three young men in remand and being investigated instead of being given emotional therapy for the trauma they experienced. They are under interrogation. As a mother I am crying out for my son, and my only thought is that I am fortunate to have a son for whom to cry out."
To recap, on Monday, July 20, two weeks after the incident, policemen from the Central Unit of the Yehuda and Shomron Police detained the injured agriculturalists, all of whom have completed army service, some of them in elite commando units, who had opened fire in self defense, on suspicion of injuring two of the Arab attackers. It should be noted that after the incident all of the agriculturalists were interrogated at the police station and gave testimony about the incident. They were released after interrogation. The following day (Tuesday), the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court extended the remand of two of the agriculturalists by two days and the remand of an additional agriculturalist by five days. Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar filed an appeal with the Central District Court in Lod demanding the immediate release of the detainees, which was partially accepted.
In the attack, which occurred in early July, hundreds of Arabs attacked a group of seven Jewish agriculturalists working on Jewish land near the community of Ma'aleh Shomron. During the attack, which included rock throwing and beatings, four of the agriculturalists were injured. MDA personnel evacuated them to the Meir Hospital in K'far Saba.

Arab protesters attack Jews in Yaffo

‎Four Jewish youths were attacked during an Arab protest in Yaffo on Sunday, July 19, after they inadvertently drove into the site. The protesters cursed them, spit at them, attempted to physically injure them, and damaged their car. The youths filed a complaint with the police and currently Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher is demanding that the suspects be brought to trial.
After a time the youths escaped from the protest: "We succeeded in getting out of there by a miracle. It was a miracle that nothing happened to us, only property damage. We asked one of the policemen to help us. We came to him traumatized and stressed, and he was so callous to us. He saw that we had experienced an attack, and he didn't even ask us if we were OK."

GOC suddenly cancels engagement party

On Sunday, July 19, a quarter of an hour before a man administratively distanced from the Shomron was supposed to leave for his engagement party at his finance's house in a Shomron community, he and his family were surprised to receive a letter suddenly canceling the special permit allowing him to attend it. Approximately one week prior to the event, the administratively distanced man filed an official request for the permit, and Major-General Tamir Yadai, the GOC of the Home Front Command, authorized him to take a direct route to his destination in the Shomron and stay there for a specific number of hours.
The father of the administratively distanced man said, "It is an embarrassment and a disgrace to receive a draconian and antisemitic order such as this in the State of the Jewish People. There has never been anything like this! You should simply be embarrassed to send me something like this a quarter of an hour (!!) before leaving for an engagement party.
Shmuel (Zangi) Meidad, the director of Honenu, which is assisting the family stated, "The use of administrative orders is always a major problem. The public has not yet internalized the situation because the orders have not yet reached the man on the street, but it is a very slippery and steep slope. This time, all sense of proportion has been lost.

Attack dog incident in Hevron

Recently, Arabs released an attack dog on a Hevron resident and her sister while they were exercising within the area of the Jewish Community of Hevron. Despite security cameras at the site and documentation of the suspects transferred by the girl to the police, there has been no notification that suspects have been detained. Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing the girl, sent a letter to the Hevron Police Commander demanding that the suspects be detained and brought to trial.
The letter mentions that the entire area is monitored by a network of cameras: "The incident occurred in a place with cameras and according to the best of my client's knowledge, the Border Police Tomb of the Patriarchs Unit Network Operations Center has a video clip which documents it." Additionally, the girl filed a complaint with the police and gave them the photographs of the suspects which she had managed to take.

More violence in Beit Jann

On Monday, July 13, Honenu responded to the violent incidents in Beit Jann in which inspectors from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority were attacked, and censured the police conduct. Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher mentioned that on Lag B'Omer, this year May 11-12, Jewish worshipers were brutally assaulted near Beit Jann and despite repeated requests to the police, at this time there has been no announcement of detainees.
Bleicher: "Ignoring certain crimes and certain forms of criminality will not solve the problem, but rather increase and exacerbate it. Such with the brutal antisemitic attack on hareidi worshipers on Lag B'Omer. The law enforcement authorities chose not to launch an investigation which would penalize the criminals, and consequently inspectors from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority encountered rioting. It is not too late to rectify the situation and prosecute the rioters."

The ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER 2020

Bsd

Forwarded: Origin unknown.

The ANT AND THE
GRASSHOPPER

This one is a little different ..

Fwd: Two Different Versions ..
Two Different Morals

OLD VERSION

The ant works
hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper
thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the ant is warm
and well fed.

The grasshopper has
no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE OLD STORY:

Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN
VERSION
The ant works hard
in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant
is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper
calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN,
and ABC show up to
provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper
next to a video of the ant
in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper
is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears
on Oprah
with the grasshopper
and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green'

Occupy the Anthill stages
a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the
Black Lives Matter group singing, We shall overcome.

Then Reverend Al Sharpton
has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper
while he dam*s the ants. He later appears on MSNBC to complain that rich people do not care.

Former President Obama condemns the ant
and blames
Donald Trump, President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the
Pope
for the grasshopper's
plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer
exclaim in an interview on The View
that the ant has
gotten rich off the back of the
grasshopper,
and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts
the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act
retroactive to the beginning of
the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number
of green bugs and
having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the
Government Green Czar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper
and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in,
which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house,
crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken
over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses
bringing the rest
of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Be careful how you vote in 2020.
