'A Palestinian State - A Deathtrap for Israel'

The Sovereignty Movement founded by Women in Green is publishing a
protest following the publication of the principles of the Trump
outline for a political settlement between Israel and the PA.

"Anyone who has forgotten: A Palestinian state between the
Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River endangers the State of Israel.
We are shocked by the weak memory that leads the planners of the
deathtrap to the State of Israel."

"For all those who have forgotten the fundamental principles of
Zionism, we will recall that the Land of Israel is our land, and the
only way to lead to true peace is to apply Israeli sovereignty over
Judea and Samaria," say the leaders of the Sovereignty movement.

"An Israeli concession to the Zionist-historical principle that this
land belongs to the people of Israel alone, will lead to further
concessions as has been proven in the past. Israel is once again asked
to continue to pay in the currency of territory for insignificant
signatures of the Arab side on pieces of paper" says the
Sovereignty movement  "and reminds  " that there is no country in the
world that desires to live that gives up its achievements in a war
that was forced on it."

"Israel will not be able to exist in a reality where an Arab terror
state is established in its heart, a state that will lead to the Hamas
takeover of the territory, the massive emigration of millions of Arab
refugees to that country that will arise out of nowhere and thus the
Jewish demographic majority will be lost between the sea and the
Jordan. In addition such a state would be a security threat to the
entrance to Israel, to the Ben-Gurion Airport that will be shut down,
Arab missiles will be launched towards the center of Israel and and
iron domes will become an integral part of the entire of the country.
"

"The big problem is that the Right does not advance, with full force,
its political plan, the plan of the application of Israeli sovereignty
over Judea and Samaria, and thus a vacuum is created in which
irresponsible political plans are initiated by the American
administration, the Israeli left and the European countries.

We turn directly to the ministers and the Knesset members of the Likud
and Bayit Yehudi: "This is the time of your test. This is the moment
when you have to lead the path of sovereignty , sovereignty that you
advocate and favor, and thus stop the dangerous proposal that is
emerging from the White House."

Why is Anthony Scaramucci going with Dr. Joseph Frager and Mr. Duvi Honig as part of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce (OJC) on a VIP Trip to Israel? OP ED by Robin Ticker 

Let me preface by saying that Dr. Joe Frager has served in a leadership capacity with Ateret Cohanim with much distinction for many years and is probably among the greatest activists and advocates for Eretz Yisroel Hashleima, Judea and Samaria, that you will ever find.  Mr. Duvi Honig is the Founder and CEO of the OJC. 

Dr. Frager is not only Chairman of the Executive Council of Ateret Cohanim, he is a recipient of this year's Shomer Eretz Yisroel award at the Bet El Dinner. 

Life is complicated and when it comes to reconciling Jewish values and business we often need to make difficult choices. 

For the record, many, including myself are opposed to this trip.  The following letter is directed to both Dr. Frager and Mr. Honig who are both Orthodox Jews, but primarily relevant to Dr. Frager who is the Chairman of the Executive Council of Ateret Cohanim. 

Dear Dr. Frager and (Mr. Duvi Honig), amv"sh

Ateret Cohanim literally means "Crown of the Priests".  If Ateret Cohanim stays true to its name, it must stay true to being Holy which by its very essence is the Work of the Cohanim, the work of the Priests.  Not only does the name Ateret Cohanim identify with holiness, it identifies with the Crown of Holiness!

Not everyone is meant to be a Cohen.  Not everyone is cut out for Priesthood. Most of us are not.  A Cohen has stringencies in his lifestyle that others do not have, in order that he maintain a higher standard of holiness.  When the Chairman of the Executive Council of Ateret Cohanim picks an individual for a VIP tour of Israel, it makes sense that the individual appreciates and is on the same page as the aspirations of Ateret Cohanim.  If an individual's focus and lifestyle choices clash and diametrically oppose those of holiness and the teachings of the Torah, the encounter is doomed to short circuit.

The VIP will be slighted by the Leadership in Israel of the institutions whose very essence embody Holiness.   -  These Leaders will not see any reason to stop their daily routine to entertain a VIP whose advocacy directly opposes their own.  Alternatively, they would feel demeaned if they are forced to negate their own values by honoring someone who actively advocates a lifestyle contrary to holiness. This would lower their self-esteem and cause them to lose respect from their staff, students and supporters.   
As Chairman of the Executive Council of Ateret Cohanim, surely you too will feel out of your element if and when Mr. Scaramucci hooks up in Israel with those he feels comfortable with, namely those who advocate for Gay Marriage and/or for Pro Choice. 

In addition, Jerusalem is not known for being the Fiscal Capital of the World. Jerusalem is the Spiritual Capital of the World, the embodiment of Holiness and Sanctity.  

Perhaps, a VIP  tour with  Anthony Scaramucci to a Maccabi Tel Aviv game, and the Tech industry makes some sense.   However, as Executive Director of Ateret Cohanim,  if you plan to bring him to Maarat HaMachpela, the Kotel and Kever Rochel,  it only would serve to confuse him at best, and he probably would not relate to the the deep religious significance of the Holy Sites.  Be true to your Shomer Eretz Yisroel Award,  by continuing to stand for the essence of Eretz Yisroel which is Holiness.  

You will have to choose which agenda is most important for you. You can not sit on the fence.

From the perspective of the organizers of this trip, Duvi Honig and Dr. Frager,  Anthony Scaramucci is an accomplished and talented entrepreneur who organized the SALT Convention, a conference of  2,500 attendees.  He has bought and sold business numbering in 9 digits, yes that's billions of dollars.  He says he is a Zionist and wants to invest in Israel startups with venture capital. He comes from modest beginnings and has a good work ethic which he learned from his father. He does not have a sense of entitlement.  He says he is authentic and non conventional.  He went to Harvard so presumably he is very smart.  He professes genuine respect and admiration for Israel.

On the down side, from the perspective of an Orthodox Jew, Anthony Scaramucci  is an openly pro-gay, pro-abortion activist and engages in  profanity, Nivul Peh in Hebrew.  This surely comes from an unholy source, a  place of impurity.   Due to this profanity, reported in the New Yorker,  Scaramucci was dismissed after 10 days from his position in the Trump Administration as Communications Director.  

Analysis:

Scaramucci needs to restore his good name,  and OJC needs to draw in business partners and venture capitalists. 

Given: OJC is an Orthodox Jewish Organization, which does not endorse homosexuality or Pro Choice. Quite the opposite!
Given: We are all members of the human race.  By definition....We are all imperfect.  
Given: We all want pleasure.  

Allow me to sidetrack,  paraphrase and draw conclusions from the teachings of  Rabbi Alon Anava. Rabbi Anava, once a devout secular athiest,  is a fascinating lecturer who experienced a NDE, Near Death Experience.  His lectures, CD's,  podcasts and youtubes have reached hundreds of thousands.

A Jew's ultimate pleasure comes from a Spiritual, Holy source.  Money and physical pleasures are all short- lived.  Only being consistent with G-d's will, brings us eternal pleasure. Tapping into impure sources will ultimately be a source of great aggravation and headache.  Abortions?  Homosexuality?  These contradict a Torah lifestyle.  Making money?  Also transient, empty.    Our Yetzer Hara will try its best to convince us that our motivations come from a pure source.  One needs to be very honest with oneself and analyze whether one's actions are coming from the will of the Yetzer Hara, desire for fame, money and/or power, or from G-d's will. One needs to see the unborn (Ro'eh HaNolad) before it is too late. 

Jerusalem, the Capital of Israel, the site of the Holy Temple and the entire Land of Israel can not tolerate abominations.  The Torah is quite explicit about its preferences. It is for these reasons that the 7 Canaanite Nations were incompatible with the Land and had to be eliminated.   The Holy Land will vomit and expel those who commit abominations.  Mr. Scaramucci should know that one is held to a much higher standard in the Holy Land.  Things that may be tolerated outside the Holy Land is vomited and expelled from the Land of Israel.  The Land itself literally can't tolerate it.

The special status of the Land of Israel imposes on its inhabitants a higher moral standard than what was required of them if they were abroad.

The G-dly light is probably too much for such individuals.

On the other hand if one humbles one's own pleasures and desires to be in sync with the Almighty's agenda and His commandments,  than that is a true sign of greatness.  Moses, for example was the most humble of all men from time in memorial,  and was able to put G-d's Will over his own at an extraordinary level. 

MEDIA PUBLICITY

Why is it that many of the Jewish Media reports of this upcoming VIP business trip whitewash Scaramucci's advocacy. If you open, the links themselves, you will see that they are almost carbon copies of each other as they probably originated from the same source, the OJC.

Our message to Dr. Frager and Mr. Honig,  about to embark on this venture, is not to be driven by the temporary pleasures that can blind ones vision, but rather, stay true to Torah values.

an entire Israeli neighborhood (Netiv haAvot) is to be razed imminently  – could even be today - in Gush Etzion.

 

As usual, this is due to minor  infractions of antiquated unreasonable regulations in Judea-Samaria that are impossible to comply with.

Neighboring Kfar Etzion recently made the news for managing to comply with all the myriad rules and become official. It took them 90 years (!).

No neighborhood, however law-abiding and well-intentioned, can comply with the endless draconian rules which apply to Jewish re-settlement of Judea-Samaria.

 

But when the Knesset attempted to adjust the rules, which is exactly the Knesset's job, Minister Moshe Cachlon objected.

Minister Cachlon insisted on removing (from the recent settlement regulation law) the very clauses necessary to save both Amona, and now Netiv haAvot in Gush Etzion.

 

Write to Minister Cachlon now, because the fate of the young Israeli families in this Gush Etzion neighborhood is his direct doing.

Stop Demolition of Homes in Netiv Avot. A Letter from a Cousin....

Dear Ohev Yisroel, 

Please forward this letter to Rabbanim and Askanim and Jewish Leaders.  We must all unite to stop this horrendous decree.  With strong leadership it is doable. No one is exempt.   

After the destruction of the 22 communities of Gush Katif on Tisha Baav 2005 and 800 homes were demolished and their families displaced, and disturbing pictures were in the news, there were Tehillim rallies organized with the theme "we share in your pain".  Great sums of monies were collected for emotional counseling and for food and clothing and basic necessities of the displaced families.  It was a drop in the bucket.

These families have now suffered for 10 years. The pain is diminished yet engraved in our consciousness and still raw. Many of the children went OTD (Off The Derech) , the breadwinners were demoralized, the families suffering great emotional and financial pain, sometimes physical as well..

Following the expulsion of these families, the entire southern Israel was under Kassam rocket attacks.  Sderot, Ashkelon and Ashdod as well as the neighboring communities.

This past year,  homes in Amona and Ofra were once again pointlessly demolished and families once again displaced due to a nonsensical and baseless ruling of the Israel Supreme Court.  The emotional trauma and pain for the pointless destruction of peoples homes and communities were barely publicized here in the Diaspora and left to each and every suffering family to shoulder the burden and injustice on their own. 

We know in advance of the senseless suffering that is in the planning for Netiv HaAvot.. Israeli politicians engage in platitudes but nothing of substance to stop the demolition.  If we stand by and do nothing we too will be held accountable in a Heavenly Court, Chayav BeDinei Shamayim Lo Taamod al dam Rei'acha, The Torah (Vayikra 19:16) states "lo ta'amod al dam rei'echa," do not stand idly by your brothers blood. The Gemara, Sanhderin 73a, cites a Beraita that states that this verse teaches that if one sees someone in a life-threatening situation (e.g. he is drowning in a river or being dragged by wild beasts), he has an obligation to save him. http://www.yutorah.org/lectures/_lectureshiurtext.cfm?shiurid=721717

The Chofetz Chaim (Beer Mayim Chaim, Rekhilut, beginning of Klal 9) maintains (based on the Gemara and Rishonim) that the Biblical prohibition of "Lo taamod al dam reiekha," (Vayikra 19:16 – Do not stand idly by while your friend's blood is spilled) applies not only to death but also to loss. The people, Am Yisroel are ready for change.  We are waiting for the Leaders of Am Yisroel to act. and demand that this senseless ruling be overturned and for an Israeli Supreme Court which is not engaged in Judicial Tyranny corrupt and self perpetuating.  We want a Judicial System consistent to the teachings of Torah. 
 
We have heard so many inspiring lectures on Ahavas Yisroel.

We're communicating with you out of deep concern for our relatives and friends in Israel threatened with the destruction of their communities by the government of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Initiated by well-financed anti-Jewish elements in Europe and the United States, non-governmental organizations have petitioned and won judgments from the Supreme Court to destroy the entire community of Netiv Avot, established nearly 20 years ago with government support. The court has ruled that certain homes in the community, located around 10 minutes south of Jerusalem, were built on farmland claimed but never proved by local Arabs. The court has rejected all offers of compromise, including demolishing sections of homes that intrude only meters within the farmland. Although the government supported the community, outlined building areas, installed infrastructure and collected taxes, officials have abandoned Jewish residents to the bulldozers of the police and military. The first stage of the plan is to demolish 15 homes imminently, followed by additional police and army operations that would eventually destroy a law-abiding community of nearly 500 people.

We are appealing to you to seek clarifications from Prime Minister Netanyahu, who met Netiv Avot residents three times and repeatedly pledged not to destroy Jewish communities around Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria. The most troubling aspect is that the entire demolition campaign is based on U.S. military aid -- including U.S.-made police and army vehicles, bulldozers and anti-riot equipment. They have been used repeatedly against unarmed civilians, a violation of the Arms Export Control Act, which authorizes the sale of U.S. defense articles and services for "legitimate self-defense." Over the last few years, there have been several Jewish communities destroyed by Israeli forces with U.S.-made equipment. We believe that U.S. aid to Israel was never meant to hurt its citizens.

We wish to stress that we and our relatives in Netiv Avot are loyal citizens and enthusiastic supporters of the Jewish homeland. But we cannot keep quiet with a government policy meant to destroy scores of Jewish communities as well as the lives of their law-abiding residents. We appeal to you for immediate help.

...This should not have happened at all. With the Trump Presidency,  Amona should have and could have been saved. Prime Minister Netanyahu and others may have thought they would be rewarded in other ways if the Amona expulsion took place. This is entirely wrong and dangerous thinking. Now the struggle is that much harder. This was a bad precedent to set especially at the beginning of a friendly President's term. It should never have happened. The Jews of Amona tried very hard but were let down by major Jewish Organizations who did not raise an outcry.
I know for a fact that President Trump was spoken to about Amona. He could not be both President of the United States and Prime Minister of Israel. He did not want to see Amona torn apart. This was not his wish.

Residents of the Netiv Avot neighborhood of Elazar in Gush Etzion have petitioned the Supreme Court to allow them to saw off the problematic parts of their houses and leave the houses standing. At present a demolition order hangs over 15 houses in the neighborhood, parts of which are deemed to have been built on private land.
