Re: Please Protest Blood Libeling and Witch Hunt and Administrative Detention w/o Civil Rights for Jewish Youth of Judea and Samaria. Call, Fax, Email, Social Media Netanyahu

bs"d

3 Boys were under Administrative Detention and held on the suspicion of being "Jewish Terrorists".  Tonight I saw that 2 who were minors have been released and put under house arrest.  Probably our protests are making a difference.

Honenu attorney Chai Haber, who represented the detainees, said in response that, "The court thoroughly examined the material and did not find any evidence linking the minors to the incident attributed to them. It seems that the GSS is taking advantage of the public atmosphere in order to carry out false detentions and use unacceptable means on innocent youths. The ban on meeting with an attorney placed on them is a severe and heavy handed step which is meant only to break their spirits. I hope that the court will put an end to this."

Detainees released to house arrest, police appealed
All three of the detainees have complained of very harsh conditions during GSS interrogations. One of the minors claimed in court that a policeman from the Central Unit of Police beat him. The other minor said that he was kept awake for 24 hours straight. Additionally only due to intervention by the court were the youths allowed to put on tefilin and were their tzitzit returned to them after having been taken away from them when they were brought to the GSS detention center.

Mordechai Meyer's parents sent letter to Defense Minister
Friday, August 14, 2015, 12:28 One week after Mordechai Meyer, a Ma'aleh Adumim resident, began carrying out a six month administrative detention order, his parents wrote a letter to Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon in which they demanded that he cancel the administrative detention order issued to their son and release him to his home.
"Approximately one week ago policemen knocked on our door at night, presented a piece of paper with your signature on it and took our son into remand for half a year in prison," wrote Meyer's parents to Ya'alon. They stressed that there was no connection between their son and the recent incidents.
"Our son was not presented with any charges, he was not issued an indictment, and legal proceedings were not started against him. It is not logical to believe that he would have carried out the acts and the attempt to pin a connection to those acts on our son is an extremely foolish and serious step. The administrative detention came in response to the incident in Kfar Duma, even though it is known that Mordechai is not connected to it. On the night of the incident our son was at home with us, as you know. Also after the arson at the Church of Loaves and Fishes he was interrogated and harassed and no evidence implicating him was found.

GSS detains 7 Jewish youths at Givat HaBaladim
Thursday, August 13, 2015, 14:34 In two separate detentions seven Jewish youths were detained by the GSS on the morning of Thursday, August 13 at Givat HaBaladim, a hilltop community near Kochav HaShachar. Three of the detainees have been banned from meeting with an attorney.

Police, GSS detained two Jewish youth, reason unknown

Tuesday, August 11, 2015, 13:26 Two Jewish youths were detained on Tuesday, August 11 in police and GSS raids in the Binyamin and Shomron regions. In the morning, large numbers of police and GSS forces arrived at a construction site in Ariel and detained a Jewish minor who was working at the site.
Later the same morning police and GSS forces approached a group of Jewish youths hiking in the area of the Givat Asaf intersection in the Binyamin region and detained one youth.
A Honenu attorney is attempting to clarify the reason for the detentions. Honenu would like to remind readers that recently many youths have been detained in the Binyamin, Yehuda and Shomron regions in what appears to be a witch hunt against hilltop youth. See here for a report of two additional recent detentions.

Has a witch hunt started?

Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 11:09 Honenu reports that recently a sharp escalation of police activity against residents of Yehuda and Shomron, and also students studying in the area, has begun. A youth was detained in the middle of the night without being summoned for interrogation. In another incident, youths who had stopped at a gas station to fill their car radiator with water, were detained solely because of their appearance. These are just two of the recent occurrences which have caused Honenu to ask: Has a witch hunt started?
In the middle of the night on Monday, August 3, a youth who attends a yeshiva in Kiryat Arba was detained at his home in Ashdod and brought to the Hevron Police Station. After being interrogated about an incident which occurred two months previously in which he was suspected of assaulting an Arab, the youth was released to his home.
Honenu would like to point out that at the time of the incident the youth agreed to report for further interrogation whenever he was asked to do so. From that time until his middle of the night detention, two months passed during which he was not summoned for interrogation, "It is sad to see that the Israeli Police have joined the atmosphere of incitement against residents of Yehuda and Shomron which has characterized the past few days" said Honenu attorney Ze'ev Wolf, who is representing the youth. Wolf added that, "His immediate release upon completion of the interrogation, indicates that the detention was unnecessary, and that its sole purpose was to placate the left-wing."

Where Lawmakers Stand on the Iran Deal

We are getting closer to Congress voting on the Iran deal. There are still a number of officials undecided. Here are two sources to find out where our Senators stand on the Iran deal:

Stand
Must-Read Article in Today's Jerusalem Post

Two weeks ago, AFSI and the Nordau Circle hosted the 75th commemoration of the yarzheit of Ze'ev Jabotinsky. The audience had the distinct pleasure of listening to the keynote speaker, Ronn Torossian.

Ronn related five key principles of Jabotinsky to today's dangerous situation with Iran, and called them the guidelines for normal and healthy Jews today.

In sum, the Jew must: love Israel and all its people, have self-esteem and Jewish pride, be courageous and stand up for himself, understand that Zionism is moral and just, and believe in the indestructibility of the Jewish people.

Divisions in the Jewish community today are causing severe damage to Jews around the world and to the security of Israel. Too many Jews are working, both wittingly and unwittingly, against the better interests of Israel. Today's article in the Jerusalem Post spells this out and makes the case for American Jews to cease donating to the New Israel Fund, an organization that is anathema to Israel's security and well-being.

Fwd: A Suggested Solution for the Yazidis & Other Christian Minorities in Iraq by Dr. Mordechai Kedar

bs"d

How to Ensure the Future of Iraq's Minority Groups

The entire world is appalled at the tragedy that has befallen the Yazidis of northern Iraq. An ethnic group whose culture spans thousands of years and who survived a problematic history, is facing extermination at the hands of Islamic State, which has been murdering the men and selling the women, girls and children in the slave market.

The world watches and is for the most part silent; there are no words strong enough to describe the dismay and disgust that the world feels at the decimation of these people.  But what is the world doing? Precious little: a rare article, a rarer news report, and here and there a demonstration. Very little effort is being made to give the Yazidis protection from the air, because the entire world trembles before the Islamic State Jihadists.

The only power located anywhere near the Yazidis is the Kurdish militia in Iraq, the Pesh-Merga, but the real tragedy is that in northern Iraq there is an understanding, perhaps even an agreement, between ISIS and the Pesh-Merga to the effect that as long as the Kurds do not defend the Yazidis, they can live in peace. The Yazidis relate that the Kurds are no less cruel to them than the Islamists. Two conclusions may be drawn from this: one, that we obviously cannot rely on the Kurdish militias to save the Yazidis, and second, that the Pesh-Merga are not going to be the ones to fight ISIS with enough will to destroy it, because they are incapable of and unwilling to do so.

Can anything be done to save the Yazidis? This question is just as applicable to all the other persecuted Christian groups in Iraq, such as the Chaldeans, Assyrians, Nestorians and Arameans, whose lot is the same as that of the Yazidis, except that many of them have managed to escape from Iraq. In addition, there are other non-Islamic groups in Iraq who are suffering Islamic persecution, such as the Saba'is,Mande'is, Zoroastrians, Bahais, all of them considered heretic and pagan idol worshippers whose fate is to be identical to that of the Yazidis and Christians.

It is worth noting that except for the Bahais, all these ethnic groups and religions are more ancient than Islam and have been in Iraq – as the Jews were – for hundreds and thousands of years, way before Iraq was conquered by Islam in the 7th century C.E.

Any solution to the problem of Iraq's minority groups must be based on the premise that Iraq is incapable of protecting either its territory or citizens. A quarter of the country is in the hands of ISIS and another fifth is a nearly autonomous Kurdish region that does not obey dictates from the central government. The political paralysis that ailed Iraq from the minute it was freed from Sadam Hussein's dictatorship in 2003 has been going on for 12 years, and no one sees a way to bring the country to the point where it can rule effectively over the territories to the north of Bagdad that are under Sunni Islamist and Kurdish control.

I would like to suggest a possible solution – and in my opinion, the only solution – for the persecuted ethnic groups in Iraq, one that may bring the suffering of all non-Muslim minorities in Iraq to an end. The solution is to establish a political entity in an area of northern Iraq, to which all the minorities can move, there to be protected by an international force.

For the purposes of this article, let us call the area "Mesopotamia", the ancient name given by the Greeks to the area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.

Many questions may arise a a result of the establishment of "Mesopotamia". Here is a list of some of them:  what will its borders be and who will mark them? Will it be independent of Iraq or simply an autonomous region like that of the Kurds? What will its legal standing be in international law? What kind of government will it have? Will it have an army? What kind of relations will it have with the Kurdish region to its north and the Shiite region to its south? What will be the basis of its economy? Who will ensure its security?

In my opinion, the answers to these questions must be decided at a founding conference which should take place at the UN, and includes representatives of all the above-mentioned groups along with representatives from Europe, the US, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and any other country interested in founding "Mesopotamia." Long and complex discussions will deal with diametrically opposed views. Iraq, Turkey and Iran will be against the idea, because establishing "Mesopotamia" means the continued dissolution of Iraq, with a possible domino effect on Iran and Turkey whose minorities may want to adopt the idea themselves.

There is no escaping a comparison between the current situation of Iraq's minorities and that of of the Jews a hundred years ago when the Balfour Declaration was proclaimed. Iraq's disintegration parallels the Ottoman Empire's demise at that time, while the persecution of non-Islamic minorities in Iraq parallels what the Jews suffered during 2000 years of exile.

The solution for the Jews was an independent state in their historic homeland – the exact same solution can help Iraq's persecuted peoples on their historic lands, exactly as the Kurds have finally succeeded in doing. This is a combination of historic justice and modern problem solving.

This week in Jerusalem, I met Juliana Taimoorazi, a Christian woman whose ethnic origin is Assyriac. She has established an organization named "The Iraqi Christian Relief Council" whose job it is to offer humanitarian aid to suffering Iraqi Christians. The ideas in this article were discussed with her, and it was decided to try to push for them in international forums.

The establishment of Mesopotamia is urgent due to the Islamist advance in Syria – that is, Jebhat al Nusra and Islamic State – who are getting close to the point where they will declare extremist Sharia rule over Syria's ruins. It is possible that Christians and other groups will seek refuge in a more secure area, perhaps the buffer zone Turkey plans to create in northern Syria – or in long-needed, overdue "Mesopotamia".

The world must make immediate decisions on this matter so as to deal with the catastrophes now taking place in the Middle East and those that are going to occur in the near future. Every delay in finding a solution adds to the number of men, women, children and young girls who will be murdered, wounded, attempt to reach Europe in flimsy rafts, be sold as slaves or forced to embrace Islam and join the death units of ISIS. The longer it takes to agree on a plan, the harder it will be to bring it to fruition and the higher the price paid for it will be.

In the Middle East, like everywhere else, if a problem isn't treated while it is relatively small, it does not disappear; instead, it becomes an enormous problem. It is imperative that the world establish "Mesopotamia" as a refuge for persecuted minorities as soon as is humanly possible!

Shoftim and Shotrim: In Defense of Meir Ettinger, Hilltop Youth and Jews Who Yearn to Restore Our Judges as They Were of Earliest Times i.e. the Sanhedrin...

bs"d

Shoftim in a Nutshell
Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9

Moses instructs the people of Israel to appoint judges and law enforcement officers in every city. "Justice, justice shall you pursue," he commands them, and you must administer it without corruption or favoritism. Crimes must be meticulously investigated and evidence thoroughly examined—a minimum of two credible witnesses is required for conviction and punishment.

In every generation, says Moses, there will be those entrusted with the task of interpreting and applying the laws of the Torah. "According to the law that they will teach you, and the judgment they will instruct you, you shall do; you shall not turn away from the thing that they say to you, to the right nor to the left."

Jewish nationalism and 'the settlements'
The link between Jewish nationalism and Jewish settlements is crucial.

Jewish nationalism, Zionism, the reestablishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Yisrael, the homeland of the Jewish people, rooted in Torah, the Bible and Jewish history, echoed in prophetic and rabbinic writing and in prayer, is the most invigorating dynamic in Jewish life in modern times. The uniqueness of Israel as a Jewish state is not only that it is connected to the Bible, documented history going back four millennia, but that it is the vehicle for the third Jewish commonwealth, a modern expression of Jewish civilization.

Mishpat Ivri:  FYI http://www.hawaiilibrary.net/article/whebn0001923804/nahum%20rakover
Nahum Rakover (Hebrew: נחום רקובר b. 13 November 1932), professor emeritus at Bar-Ilan University, is an Israeli former Deputy Attorney General in Israel,
Rakover is a leading researcher in the area of applying traditional Jewish rabbinic law to Israel's state legal system.[1]
He is a prolific author on Jewish law and associated with the Mishpat Ivri movement, and is the author of over 30 books and 200 articles.[1] In addition to important monographs, he has compiled several bibliographies on the use of Jewish law in Israeli judicial opinions, legislative deliberations, and scholarship.

Return of the Hunt
By: Donny Fuchs

My comments: [RT])

I  highly doubt the arson in Duma was perpetuated by Jews.   Why do I suspect a frame-up?
  • The simple fact that "Nekama" and "Yechi Melech Hamoshiach"  are conflicting msgs coming from different Jewish circles and were both graffiti-ed at the site of the arson, are reason to suspect a frame-up. (conflicting Nuances)
  • Also, kind of fishy is the time it takes to graffiti these words in the center of an Arab Village and not be caught. It would take a suicidal Jew to enter the center of an Arab village, set a house or two on fire,  and paint graffiti on the walls... and Jews generally aren't the suicidal types.  However, a suicidal mindset Arab would easily conceive of such a frame-up.
  • After all this time, there is not a shred of real evidence to my knowledge, let alone 2 Jewish witnesses at a minimum,  linking any hilltop youth to these crimes other than the testimony of Arabs
The outrageous criminal hunt for "Jewish terrorists" have violated their civil liberties not to mention libels them and the entire Judea and Samaria settlement enterprise.  Sadly, this libel has been perpetuated by our own,  right wing politicians and Rabbis  who rushed to condemn "Jewish Terrorism"

Op-Ed: 'Jewish Terrorists' - The Long View by Lenny Goldberg
There have been "Jewish terrorists" before. Today we consider many of them heroes, says this writer, who gives the side of the hilltop youth.

My Comments: [RT]
Apparently, the more I read, the more I think it is a problem of the Israeli government being threatened by the concept of Judaic Law, also referred to as Hebraic Law.

The existing Judicial System in Israel is comprised of a hodgepodge of British and Turkish law. Is it only Meir Ettinger that wants a Judaic Legal System?
  • Each and every Jew who prays each day, repeats Hoshiva Shofteinu KaRishona,  Restore Our Judges as they were of Earliest Times, a reference to the reestablishment of the Sanhedrin G-d Willing in Our Times,  3x in the Shemoneh Esreh.
  •  Millions of Jews will be reading the Parsha each and every week. This week is Parshath Shoftim (Appointing Judges and Law enforcement officials to apply Laws of Torah).  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shnayim_mikra_ve-echad_targum

Let Meir Ettinger's points be heard and addressed.  Don't assume that Meir Ettinger is advocating taking the law into ones own hands until you have actual evidence.

How about a lively open debate in the Batei Midrashoth open to the public re: Practical, Halacha LeMaaseh, how do we interpret certain portions of the Torah for example portions in  Parshath Reeh  dealing with the 7 idolatrous Canaanite Nations upon entering and settling the Land of Israel,  How is such a discussion  relevant today and how can we change the existing Israeli Judicial System so that it  incorporates and hopefully one day morph into a Judaic Legal System as we pray for each and every day?

One who is so afraid of having this discussion, to the point of silencing and incarcerating, probably does not have confidence in Torah Shebaal Peh, the Oral Law of the Torah.  They probably interpret the written Torah literally as a license to burn and target innocent Arabs,  according to their own understanding and wisdom and projects their personal interpretation upon Meir Ettinger as well and convicting him in their mind as guilty. That's the only explanation I can think of for Administrative Detention of these Hilltop Youth.
