Ticker Obombanations Gazatte Purim 5773 and STAY TUNED TO Virtual Mishloach Manot on Purim from the Tickers

Destruction on eve of Obomba visit.

Netanyahu's coalition. partners To please Obomba...
Obomba undermining America:

Todays Jewish Leaders bowing to todays Haman empowerers

Media Bias in Israel and in USA

My conclusion from all these links is that we must act accordingly by adopting the Levy Report and declaring Jewish Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. We must insist that Pollard be released but not for a price.   I wouldn't lay out the red carpet treatment for Obomba. In fact the exact opposite.  Only strength and conviction and principles and faith in the Almighty G-d can protect us and the world. Not a delusional Peace Process.

To: Malcolm Hoenlein iduartegray@jcrc.org

The following is an excerpt from this past Sunday's Times of Israel article:

Obviously, Israel could and should utilize its freedom of speech, and "people can call for the release of [jailed spy for Israel] Jonathan Pollard." But "do it respectfully," he [Malcolm Hoenlein] urged. "The American people don't like to see their president dissed. They don't want to see disrespect."

Malcolm, I'm so glad you have granted me and others permission to call for the freedom of a man who remains imprisoned solely because he is Jewish and the other country involved is Israel. However, I am curious: Why are you not leading the call? And, I find it especially troubling that you think the battle against vile anti-Semitism needs to be waged "respectfully", and that you felt obliged to issue a preemptive strike
– in the form of a stern warning – against any one who would consider protesting Jonathan's continued cruel, sadistic treatment.

Yes, "do(ing) it respectfully" has worked wonders during the past 28 years for a heroic Jew who continues to sit in his cell in Butner, North Carolina, as his body withers away. If that's the best you've got, Malcolm, then we need someone else to lead the charge...a woman or man who embraces reality and understands that trying the same (safe!) thing over and over again will produce the same empty, agonizing results.

Either, put your heart into it as you did in the Struggle for Soviet Jewry, or step aside, NOW!

Again, I urge the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations to implement the strategy, below. Buddy

Dear Malcolm,

On December 10, 2012, the Conference of Presidents issued a press release in support of the Congressional appeal for the release of Jonathan Pollard. I urge you - in the strongest of terms - to follow through with that effort by devoting all of the resources of the Conference and its member organizations and ensure that President Obama takes Jonathan with him when he visits Israel next month.

Jonathan Pollard's continued incarceration in Butner, NC under the watch of numerous Administrations is a vile demonstration of anti-Semitism by the leaders of America. It is painfully obvious that the only reasons Jonathan has been in prison far longer than any other perpetrator of similar acts in American history are because: 1) he is Jewish; and 2) he was convicted of spying for Israel. This obscene and grossly inequitable treatment must be ended immediately!

You are known to have been a strong fighter for the rights of Soviet Jews a generation ago. I urge you to exert that same passion and effort in obtaining the release of Jonathan Pollard. Please do not respond internally by arguing that things must be done quietly: Jonathan's continued incarceration - for 28 brutal and gruesome years - has proved that that strategy has been a dismal failure. As you know, Jonathan is in extremely ill health. There is no more time for "behind the scenes" efforts on his behalf.

Requested action

Issue an immediate, URGENT alert to all 51 member organizations urging their membership to rally outside the White House a week before President Obama is to leave for Israel. American Jewry must express our pain and demonstrate to President Obama that we care deeply about the welfare of all of our fellow Jews, and about the State of Israel. Half a million people outside the President's home demanding freedom for one of our own should make a huge impression on the President, and it should achieve the desired result.

Please advise me as to your progress in this endeavor and let me know how I may assist you in obtaining Jonathan's freedom.

Most sincerely,

Buddy Macy

Subject:  GUSH KATIF MUSEUM DINNER

EXCITEMENT IS MOUNTING for THE GUSH KATIF MUSEUM DINNER, MARCH 9, 8 P.M. NYC

By Helen Freedman

It was just a year ago that the first GUSH KATIF MUSEUM DINNER was held at the Razag Ballroom, 739 East New York Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. At the time, Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo had contacted Dr. Joseph Frager and me about running the benefit dinner for the Gush Katif museum.  Ambassador James Bolton and radio and TV personality Glenn Beck were both on the program, along with a host of others. It was a remarkable evening, filled with animated guests and brilliant talk.

Following in the tradition set last year, Rabbi Wolpo has once again arranged an amazing evening, March 9, 2013, 8 P.M., with Dr. Joseph Frager again acting as Chairman of the evening. The featured speaker this time will be Governor Mike Huckabee, a favorite of those who welcome truth and civility in reporting.  Governor Huckabee has been to Israel many times and has visited the Gush Katif Museum. I was there with him when Mrs. Rivka Goldschmidt, a refugee from the Gush Katif expulsion, spoke to him passionately about the plight of the Gush Katif refugees. Rivka Goldschmidt will be with us at the dinner, to recount her experiences and those of her neighbors. Her story is sure to touch your heart. Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson will also be speaking on behalf of the rabbis of the Crown Heights Synagogues. Multi-media displays will be shown about the lives of the Gush Katif residents, as well as work executed by the former residents themselves. Guests of Honor for the evening include Rabbi Sholom Ber Drizin, Rabbi David Algaze, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, and myself, Helen Freedman. The dinner committee is chaired by Dr. Paul Brody and includes many distinguished members of the Jewish community. Musicians YONI and Choni Milecki will be performing during the evening.

A moving interview with Rachel Saperstein, one of the spokeswomen for the Gush Katif community, by Josh Hasten, has just been circulated. In the interview Rachel describes her frustration and disappointment in the government's failure to act more quickly in enabling the still displaced persons to move into their permanent homes.  The semi-annual AFSI Chizuk mission to Israel meets with the Sapersteins, Anita Tucker, and others each time we are in Israel. We saw the 21 flourishing communities before they were destroyed, and we visit the temporary caravans in which most of the people have been living since 2005. We have also seen some of the new homes and new communities, all of which are developing very slowly. Since it was not just their homes that people saw destroyed by the demolition crews when the 10,000 residents were forcibly removed from Gush Katif, but entire communities and farms, with all that is included in that picture, rebuilding is a laborious and costly exercise.

The Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem is a must-visit on every itinerary. The videos of the expulsion will break your heart, but will strengthen your resolve to be part of NEVER AGAIN!!  Please plan to attend the dinner and encourage your relatives, friends, and neighbors to join you. It will be a most rewarding evening. To RSVP ($250 per person) please call 718-208-1770, or mail your check to FRIENDS OF GUSH KATIF MUSEUM, 383 Kingston Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11213, suite 155, or email : Dinner@GushKatifMuseum.org, or pay online with your credit card: www.gushkatifmuseum.org.  Members of Americans for a Safe Israel are invited to contact the AFSI office: 212-828-242; or email:  afsi@rcn.com, to inquire about the special reduced rate for AFSI members. All contributions are tax-deductible.

Mishmeret Yesha- Ma'ale Rechavam. From Yisroel Danziger

Friends,

You are correct in asking, concerning the outlying communities in Judea and Samaria, what guarantee do we have that they will not be destroyed again ?

The truth is we do not have any such thing. There is no guarantee about any of the communities in YESHA or for that matter, anywhere in Israel!
What we have here is a extremely rare commodity. A group of young ideological couples and single people willing to live in difficult conditions.

What makes them unique is that they are willing to sacrifice what little money they have and take loans to help establish their homes and an outlying community, without any "assistance" from the government.

That means no roads, water, electricity, sewage, public buildings of any type or services.
This has been their lot for the last two years until last Wednesday when the government came and destroyed half the homes built.

Because they have chosen to remain independent and not attach themselves to strings attached govt. aid like many other communities wishing to"develop" they are isolated and left to fend on their own.
The govt. and its willing lackies are counting on good people like yourself losing faith and feeling hopeless so as to not do anything to help.
Ma'aleh Rechavam is part and parcel of eastern Gush Etzion which is first in line on the chopping block once Netanyahu forms the coalition he is looking for.

This why we at Mishmeret Yesha have been working, physically, since last March to help this community establish roots. We have brought tractors to cut the roads, carve out lots, pour concrete slabs, dig sewage pits and in the last weeks put up electric poles and string cables. >
Of course the root of the problem is a complete lack of a true ideological leadership, that has no vision, direction or will to do anything. That is not something that will be rectified shortly. Therefore we need to pull together all the positive forces helping share the burden and struggle to win.

This morning, early, I received a call from some one in the Shomron who received a phone call from a woman travelling to Jerusalem on the eastern Tekoah rd at the security crossing before Har Chomah.
She noticed a huge gathering of security forces on the side of the road preparing to head South. She pulled over and counted 12 full buses of Border Police, 32 military jeeps , five tank transporters carrying bulldozers and 12 police vans carrying Yasam-special riot police.  This young woman, having lived her whole life in outlying communities and outposts, intuitively knew some thing was up and tried calling her husband at home in Ma'aleh Rechavam(MR) to warn him and all the others that something major was underway.

She could not call, the security forces electronically jammed all cell phones communications to isolate MR from the rest of the world. Yes, some thing major was underway. This women dropped off her children at the kindergarten in Har Choma, decided to skip work, turned south and raced home to MR fearing her home was about to be destroyed. She tried every which way to get back home but that was impossible, she spent a very emotional nerve wracking 2 hours waiting on the side of the road .

Finally the road opened and a huge convoy of security forces began leaving the area. As she approached the mountain ridge road overlooking MR she saw a shocking site of destruction unlike anything that was witnessed since the destruction in 2005 of Gush Katif. All the new beautiful homes that were built with borrowed monies belonging to all her friends, all people that she and her husband had encouraged and worked tirelessly, so that they would come and build a new community in the Judean desert were massive heaps of rubble. Having been overtaken by the site she began sobbing uncontrollably while attempting to drive, losing control several times and running off the road. She finally made it back to the other end of the community and saw her home, all in one piece, having been spared the wrath of.................... .
Running around, being an emotional wreck she managed to piece together what had happened in the last hours this morning as she left to work. Those forces she spotted at the security crossing split up, with the army jeeps heading off road to seal off all the wadis, dirt roads and overlooking ridges leading to Ma'aleh Rechavam(MR) for a surrounding 5 kms.  The Police and Border Police, all dressed in black jump suits (sound familiar)entered MR, armed with maps and Aeriel photographs surrounding 9 homes and ordered everyone out.  As this was happening a special military engineering unit cut off water and electricity to MR.  Once the 780 Police felt they had secured every square inch of MR they brought in 50 Arab laborers wearing yellow reflective vests and sent them into the homes to remove whatever household goods. Having completed that within minutes the bulldozers entered MR and tore into the homes completing total destruction within minutes. They then pulled back away from the crushed walls and charged a second time, concentrating on tearing up the foundations and concrete slabs and dumping the the chunks of concrete on top of the destroyed structure.  Nine homes were destroyed in minutes. One home, a family that had moved from the city two weeks ago, never lived or experienced Yishuv life before were in a state of shock having been ordered out of their home by black jump suited riot police, watching all their personal belongings tossed out on the ground. When the tractor tore through their front walls exposing the living room, the wife collapsed having fainted and has been in a state of traumatic shock ever since.

A highly organized and executed operation of this scale requires a great deal of preparation and is directed from the highest political offices in Israel.  A great many people were behind this atrocity, it will take some time to reveal some and hopefully all of them. Mishhmeret Yesha has been involved in helping this important outpost develop with roads, water, electricity, trees and many other areas since last March.   Beyond the basic needs of playground, synagogue , Mikve and much more, now these young couples who have sacrificed all they own and are in debt to pay for the homes they just built and are now homeless.

Crucial funds are needed to pay the attorney representing MR at the supreme court who has been battling a (4 Yr. old) Peace Now initiative and obtained a temporary stay order preventing further destruction and is now forcing the govt, to show cause and Justify this atrocity. ll those that are willing to help us begin rebuilding, beginning this coming Sunday, can make a tax-deductible donation to the Central Fund of Israel earmarked for Tikun Haklal and mailed to

The Fight Against One-Side Broadcasting

Tadmit Media Center, which was founded by the Legal Forum to promote democracy in Israeli media, is taking action to balance reports and personnel in various Israeli media outlets. Last week, Tadmit demanded that Israel's Channel 2 News Program add another news commentator alongside Amnon Abramovich, who is known to hold post-Zionist views.

For decades, post-Zionist agendas have been promoted in the media, especially in state-owned media outlets. For example, Galei Tzhal, a radio station mainly aimed at soldiers, has publicly endorsed avoiding army service.

In an interview following the recent elections, Mr. Abramovich declared that he has a clear agenda with regard to political matters and is happy to promote them through his interpretations in the News Company's broadcasts. He was quoted as saying: "I believe that thanks to the work of some of the media, including myself, the external layers of Naftali Bennet have been peeled off and a large mass of voters transferred their support to Yair Lapid." Later in the interview, Mr. Abramovich is described as holding post-Zionist views, strongly objecting to Prime Minister Netanyahu's policies of settling Judea and Samaria and financial support for the ultra-orthodox community in Israel. Mr. Abramovich also expressed his support for an Arab state.

Following these statements, Chani Luz from Tadmit contacted the Channel Two Council and demanded a second commentator to balance the broadcast.

Amnon Abramovitch

In her letter, Chani Luz said that "it is legitimate for Mr. Abramovich to hold these views, however it is completely unreasonable that he uses the public stage he is given to bluntly and directly influence the political arena. What is even more alarming is that the News Company allows the possibility to promote a single agenda, which is in complete contrast to its role to provide a balanced news report and allow its viewers to hear a range of ideas, as is clearly stated in the regulations of the TV and Radio Council."  The  Council was asked to act immediately to rectify the current situation.

Tadmit Media Center realizes that the personal opinions of news commentators cannot be hidden during their work. However, as the commercial channel is also a public channel, it should not only strive to balance news reports, it is obligated to do so. Tadmit demands the addition of another news commentator who is not committed to post-Zionist views but rather to national ones. "We are not looking to limit Mr. Abramovich' right to freedom of speech, but rather to ensure proper balance, fairness and impartiality."

Authorities in the Channel 2 Television Council have responded to Tadmit's claims and will take action in the matter, understanding the reasoning behind the claims made against them.

The Legal Forum, along with Tadmit Media Center, will continue to monitor the handling of this matter, and will also continue to act to strengthen the values of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, where all members of the population enjoy freedom of speech and a right to express their opinions and agendas.

The Forum's activities are carried out by volunteer attorneys, legal and financial experts, who act to protect human rights in Israel. To continue this valuable work, we need your help. Please donate to The Legal Forum so that justice can prevail.
