The Democrats are an unG-dly Party. They Openly Defy 7 Noahide Laws the Foundation of a Civilized Society.

Bsd

Why is the consequences of this bail reform surprising?

Dear Orthodox Elected Officials, amv"sh

You mean well and your heart is in the right place, you want to make a difference
... But

How can Jews morally be a Registered Democrat today as Democrats brazenly defend and empower  Iran (Guilty of Crimes against humanity) and empowered the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS (Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity) and openly support BDS and calls for a Palestinian State whose battle cry is "from the river to the sea Palestine will be free" and calls Israel (G-d's Chosen People to Inherit the Promised Land) illegal occupiers of Judea and Samaria and lie and accuse the IDF of war crimes when the IDF justifiably defends the citizens of Israel from rocket attacks and fire balloons.

In addition:

Democrats Support Late Term Abortions (infanticide), and Socialist Redistribution of Wealth (stealing) and Support LGBTQ Pride (Immorality)  and Undermine President Donald Trump the Best Friend Israel Ever Had With Phony House Judiciary Impeachment (Corrupt Courts), Removing G-d and G-dliness from the narrative and from their Democrat platform ... violating 7 Noahide Laws and replacing it with their own definition of morality, values and ethics (idol worship)

Bail reform is simply an extension of their unG-dly agenda. We need to root the evil out at it's source and delegitimize them as a party rather than merely address the symptom.

Supporting Trump and his Policies but Technically Registered as Democrats in NY?

Bsd

"G-d Bless the President of the United States of America".
Councilman (D)  Chaim Deutsch in his closing line in the rally against AntiSemitism September 22, 2019 in City Hall Park NYC.

Jews, including Democrats, especially those  who believe in G-d, have tremendous appreciation for President Donald Trump for his amazing support of Israel. They admire his determination to fight evil.

Lichvod Dov Hikind and Chaim Deutsch,

I have the utmost admiration for all the work you have done for Klal Yisroel. Hashem has given you leadership positions and you are devoted public servants.

You are Democrats and also children of Holocaust Survivors.

Please see these comments coming from a place of love and life.

"It is too late to remake the Democratic Party!"

That comment I believe came from a personal conversation with the speaker from Women Fight antiSemitism at your rally.

Rabbi Spero and Mort Klein agree that encouraging voters to register as Democrats is a mistake..

The evil is too entrenched.

Time to cut our losses.

The best way to go back to a legitimate 2 party system is to now leave the Democratic party and join the Republicans.   Nothing will get the Democrats to change their tune than knowing the Jews have written them off.

I am not a political person nor on the payroll of the Republicans.

This is not about risking one's 501c3 status of  a non profit organization by making a  political statement to support Republicans vs Democrats.

It is merely acknowledging reality that the Democrats are now aligned with evil and are not representative of values of this great Nation.

The fact that the left would become terribly defensive,  hostile, angry and abusive of the following is proof that I am on to something. The Truth.

Their values do not align with G-dly values. They are distorting good and evil, legislating  evil to become the law itself.

Sounds a bit too similar to the generation of the Flood and Sodom.

Examples: late term abortions ("reproductive rights") and gender equality (teaching preschoolers that their gender isn't the same as their genitals.)

I am not indebted in any way to the Republican party. If alt right antiSemitism would take over their party, I would surely fight the Republicans as well.

Because ultimately we must choose G-d's laws first. The 7 Noahide Laws.

Donald Trump is still at the helm of the Republican party and along with his base, the Evangelicals, they are fighting for a moral and just society and fighting immoral organizations like Planned Parenthood.

Do we want the Democrat  leftist anti Israel and "values" supported by the Teacher Unions to become the accepted and required curriculum of common core? ( And do we really want Drag Queen story hour for 3-5 year olds in our public libraries?)

Trump has to lead the fight against nuclear Iran and ISIS.

The Evil we are facing today is no different than Nazi Germany, as bad, and probably much worse. Just ask the Yezidis. The Yezidi children that were kidnapped by ISIS are indoctrinated to become the next generation of ISIS warriors.  They want to rob them of their soul as well.

ISIS was literally on Israel's doorsep. Fear of Israel and its military kept them in check.  ISIS members are trying to infiltrate the USA via the Mexican border. ISIS is protected in UN refugee camps together with their victims. They unfortunately are not defeated. They have dispersed across the globe, Hashem Yerachem may Hashem have mercy.

Like Jews, Amalek  too is called Reishis.

Trump desperately needs our support for his own fortitude in fighting this horrific evil.

He can't do it without Jewish support because Jews are G-d's representative for making this world a G-dly place.

This is the most important message in our Rosh Hashana liturgy. Hashem Melech. Proclaiming G-d the King in the World!

Trump knows he needs Jewish support to  empower his fight against evil or alternatively we will empower the Sitra Acher.

By registering as Democrats and staying with the Democratic party (based on Daas Torah according to Chaim Deutsch), we have effectively neutralized Orthodox Jewish Support in support of Trump and a G-dly agenda.

Orthodox Jews are the natural allies of Conservatives and the Republican Party  based on our common belief system.  Our faith based religion comes from  the same source, the Bible.  This is the foundation and the spirit of the Founding Fathers of this Great Nation.

How can we encourage Jews to register Democrat and then go ahead and condemn antiSemitism that is infested in the Democratic party.
 לשקר אין רגליים

We can't. So we are silent. Silence is a Sin.

Therefore, we must speak truth and encourage Jews to register as Republicans and be Truthful to Hashem and to our faith. Then we will have the inner Koach , strength, to speak up for a more G-dly world.

The Democrats in present leadership anyway know we are not sincere in supporting them, and hope we can be bought and will have no qualms about dropping Jews like a hot potato the minute we are no longer useful.

Will the Republicans then save us?

Where is the appreciation...Trump  will ask  'Were you by our side when we fought for Israel against Evil?????"

It is now before Yom Hadin. How do we answer?

It's not about money.

So long as Orthodox Jews, align ourselves with the Democratic party 2019, all speeches against hate crime and antisemitism are bluff, empty words and no action. It makes it worse because everyone assumes that decisions of Orthodox legislators are backed by Daas Torah.

Jabotinsky was not backed by the the Rabbonim in pre Holocaust Europe.

It goes back further.  In the desert, the leaders of that generation, the Miraglim discouraged the people from entering the Land.

Why then were all the Jews punished if the leaders messed up?

Because we should have protested. We received the Torah at Sinai and should have known better. The leaders led the people astray. I am not judging anyone and I am not in their place nor especially want to be. The test is probably too hard to bear.

Leftists are deceitful.  They who empower antiSemites in fact make the best speeches against hate crimes and antiSemitism. They go so far as to redefine antiSemitism so that it gets twisted till the Jews themselves become the "real antiSemites".

Please don't be their useful idiots.

First my comments:

Thank you Dov Hikind former Democrat for condemning and calling out the Leadership of Democratic Party for showing their true colors!!!

These "leaders" are choosing to back Tlaib and Omar not America and surely not America's closest ally Israel.

Time for the rest of our moderate  Democratic elected officials to resign and leave the hijacked Party masquerading as loyal Americans that betrays America, Jews and Israel.

Enough of the Charade!
The Emperor's new clothes are transparent.

Knowing the facts, practically speaking, even encouraging Jews to register as Democrats on the local level empowers this hijacked party.

Basically,  Democratic elected officials have their hands tied even when they are moderate and love Israel.

No trip to Israel can mask the true agenda of the "Democratic" party of 2019.

Any funding the Jewish community acquires even if it is $60 million dollars for STEM or Security and social programs via the Democratic party is suspect and results in Jewish Leadership turning a blind eye to these same "Leaders" empowering evil plans against Israel and pushing perverted values on the average American.

Perhaps we can learn from what is written in the this week's Torah Parshat Eikev about taking money from Idol Worshippers.

Devarim Perek 7:25-26

25 The graven images of their gods you will burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or gold that is upon them and take it for yourself, lest you be ensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord, your God.

26 Nor should you bring an abomination into your house, lest you are to be destroyed like it, but you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is to be destroyed.

I am singling out these two paragraphs from his email since I hope they are a standing board to take real action and not merely to wait...

"...And now, instead of dealing with their antisemites in Congress, Democratic leadership is threatening to condemn Ambassadors Ron Dermer and David Friedman for the row instead of condemning the antisemitic scourge that is overtaking the party! Instead of supporting Israel's right to sovereignty and to control who enters the country with the same exact discretion exercised by the United States, the feckless Democratic leadership is focused on excoriating its ally.

But we are watching very closely, and will not forgive the Democratic leadership for its repeated failures to rein in the haters from within. It's clear that far from being disowned by the party, despite every hateful statement and act by the pair of antisemitic congresswomen, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are embracing them further, as the party moves away from its "special relationship" commitment to Israel. With friends like them, who needs enemies?"

ICYMI: REPS. TLAIB AND OMAR SHARE ANTISEMITIC CARTOON FROM KNOWN HOLOCAUST DENIER WHO FINISHED 2ND IN IRAN'S 'HOLOCAUST DENIAL CARTOON CONTEST'

"JUST DAYS AFTER BEING DENIED ENTRY FOR PROMOTING BDS AND ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION, THE TWO ANTISEMITES OF CONGRESS TRIPLED DOWN BY SHARING A GROTESQUE CARTOON FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS MOCKED THE MURDER OF SIX MILLION JEWS," SAID DOV HIKIND

WATCH FULL VIDEO HERE

Amidst all the hoopla surrounding the denial of entry to Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar into Israel over their support for the BDS movement and the erasure of Israel, both congresswomen shared a cartoon depicting Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump each silencing Omar and Tlaib. Not only is the cartoon itself antisemitic as 'Jews silence their opposition' cartoons can be found in the notorious work of the Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, but the cartoonist they purposefully chose to promote is Carlos Latuff who has a long history of trivializing the Holocaust while also painting Israel as Nazis.

And now, instead of dealing with their antisemites in Congress, Democratic leadership is threatening to condemn Ambassadors Ron Dermer and David Friedman for the row instead of condemning the antisemitic scourge that is overtaking the party!

With friends like them, who needs enemies?

One thing is certain, as the son of Holocaust survivors, I will not sit idly by as anyone, let alone members of Congress, trivialize the memory of six million murdered Jews to promote their nefarious political agendas!

NY GOP has New Life!!!! Amazing Acceptance Speech of New Chair, Nick Langworthy! Today July 1, 2019

Nick Langworthy
Acceptance Speech July 1, 2019
#newyorkgop
#newyorkcomeback

We are gathered in our State's Capital, where taxpayers are ignored and corruption runs unchecked. Liberal radicals have taken hold of Albany and with every stroke of the pen are making government bigger, taxes higher, and favoring rule breakers over hard working families.

Drunk on power from one party Democratic rule, Andrew Cuomo and his radical liberals have chased away transformational economic opportunities, legalized 9-month abortion, and given driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.

In the same breath, these Liberals are driving away hard-working, lifelong New Yorkers, to states like Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Rather than deal with the real, kitchen table issues affecting everyday life in this state, these new socialists have chosen to ram through their own radical agenda.

Andrew Cuomo has done nothing to cut our wicked tax burden; The highest in the Nation;

He has done nothing to end the rife corruption that clouds his administration - in fact, he's been complicit in it.

He's done nothing to stem the tide of people leaving New York for opportunity elsewhere; except to blame the weather.

Nothing to bring jobs to a state that lags behind the nation in private sector job growth.

And no talk about how to make it easier for the middle class to live, work and raise a family in New York State.

While the Trump economy is breaking records across this nation, we, in the President's home state are left behind because of the corrupt, socialist agenda permeating the Democrat party in New York.

And while we're talking about a socialist agenda, let me be clear, I and the Republican Party of New York condemn the antisemitic rhetoric of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar. We stand in support of Israel, and will fight for the safety and security of our Jewish neighbors across this nation.

The radicals on the left are going down a dangerous path to rewrite history. First they came after Christopher Columbus. Then they tried to whitewash the worst attack on our nation as "just some people who did something" and now they are trying to minimize the murder of 6 million Jews in concentration camps.

The silence of the so called "tolerant" Democrats, refusing to stand for what is right is deafening.

And make no mistake, AOC's Democratic stardom is no flash in the pan. She proved it just last week by throwing her support behind Tiffany Caban, the Democrats' nominee for Queens District Attorney.

The Democrats nominated a chief law enforcement officer who doesn't want to enforce the law and credited her win to the inmates in Rikers!

Today's Democratic Party is being controlled by the extremists, and last week's Democratic presidential debates confirmed it.

And in Albany, rather than help struggling New Yorkers, radical socialists in our State Assembly and Senate passed the Criminal Bill Of Rights. Geriatric Parole releasing hard criminals at 55, Pardoning Cop Killers, Pedophiles and Rapists to give them their right to vote, and rewarding illegal immigrants with drivers licenses.  In Cuomo's Democrat Party, Criminals come first, Taxpayers come last.

As Republicans we stand with our law enforcement behind the thin blue line, we do not spit on it. The men and women who put their lives on the line each and every day deserve our respect and we will stand with them now and always.

The taxpayers of this state deserve a Republican Party that will stand up, and fight to put their needs first. We have comeback from the bottom before and now we will do it again.

In the 1990 election in New York, our Republican nominee for Governor received 22% of the statewide vote. So dire was our performance that pundits put the New York State Republican Party on a death watch.

Three Years later we elected a Republican Mayor of New York City and kept control of city hall for 20 straight years.

Then in 1994 we elected a Republican Governor George Pataki, fired a Governor named Cuomo, and protected taxpayers from the Governor's office for 12 years.

To those who proclaim that our Party is about to draw its final breath, you are dead wrong.

I say that a new dawn has come to New York. Our day is here. A new generation of leadership is reporting for duty.

Starting today we will rebuild, retool, and revitalize the Republican Party in the State of New York.

That work begins here. That work begins now - with each of you in this room today.

There are those that have said Nick, how are you going to succeed when the professional liberal class of attack dogs and the media are going to come after you?  Ladies and gentlemen, if we've learned one thing from President Trump it is that we have to be tough enough to fight back and be aggressive. We are done playing paddy cake in the Republican Party in the State of New York.

And in 2020 we will make sure that President Donald J. Trump gets the support he deserves from his home state. I am proud to support our President, as he has delivered economic success to our country that we have not seen in over a century. Record low unemployment for all Americans and every ethnic segment. And a stock market that has had incredible growth on his watch. Can you imagine what our President would have gotten done if he hadn't been met with the hostility he has every single day by the press and the Democrats in Congress! Our President has Made America Great Again and the NYGOP will help him to Keep America Great!

Don't let them fool you… Our future looks bright. We have a path to victory and our first step is to take a cold hard look at our past.

New York City casts one third of the vote in a statewide election. The math does not add up if our candidates are getting less than 20% of the vote in the 5 boroughs. You know this. I know this – and that is why We will take this Party to places in this state that have not seen a Republican candidate in years. We will run a candidate for every single New York seat in Congress in 2020.

And I want our party to stand boldly with Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to expand her vision of electing real, Republican, change making women-leaders to office. We will go county by county. Town by Town. From the grassroots up, we will recruit and elect women at every level of government.

Congresswoman Stefanik has recruited over 170 women to run for office, including some of this years incredible candidates here today:

Chele Farley in New York's 18th District;

Liz Joy in New York's 20th District;

Nicole Malliotakis in New York's 11th District who will take back Staten Island and Brooklyn.

And I would be remiss to leave out Erie's very own Lynne Dixon running for County Executive. She is the first woman ever to run for Erie County Executive and we very proud. She has a strong example in Cheryl Dinolfo, who is keeping Monroe strong.

It's leaders like these who make the real difference, and keep our party grounded.

Voters expect more from us than platitudes and slogans. We need to listen to the single moms in the suburbs who are juggling family, school, children and a full-time job. We need to listen better to those who waited their turn, abided by the rules and came to New York in search of a better life in this country of opportunity. The Republicans in New York are the Taxpayer's Party, and we are fighting to protect the American Dream.

But as we are sitting here today, the American Dream is slipping away from too many New Yorkers. Property taxes are driving people out of their homes, fueling the exodus from New York to states that tax less. We have the worst business climate in the nation. We will soon have the highest bridge and tunnel tolls in America.

The mass transit system in New York City is crumbling, and it costs twice as much to build a mile of subway tunnel in New York than any other nation on earth. A record number of public schools in New York are coming up short in the way they teach kids how to read, write, add and subtract.

For the second year in a row, New York City has lost population. In the last eight years, 1.2 million people, taxpayers, have left this state.

The tax-and-spend liberal majority had their shot to fix this. They robbed desperate families their school of choice. Instead of cutting taxes and fees, they raised them. Instead of encouraging the construction of new housing, they made it harder to build.

Now contrast that to the fact that it is now easier for an illegal immigrant to get a driver's license in New York than a law abiding citizen. And it's easier for the illegal immigrants to send their children to college than it is for a disabled army veteran or the daughter of a tax-paying factory worker in Syracuse.

This war for hearts and minds is about priorities – and let me make it clear today, that it is the duty of every elected Republican from Niagara Falls to Montauk to put Taxpayers First.

I say this with confidence because we are on the right side of history. The right thing isn't easy, but nothing worth doing ever is. We have done it before, and we know how to do it again. Millions of New Yorkers believe in our cause and the principles on which we stand.

We know that socialism doesn't work, and never will. I have never been more proud of our President Donald Trump than when IN his state of the union address he proudly declared that America will never be a socialist country.

The people flourish not when government takes more of their money, but when government taxes less. That economic growth comes not from regulations written by bureaucrats, but by the free marketplace that rewards innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit.

I am confident that we can do it because we have done it. Nine years ago, I was elected Chairman of the Erie County Republican Committee in bleak times. We assembled a brave band of true believers to revive a Party that had fallen on its knees. We went to the grass roots of our Party and we listened. We walked the streets, knocked on doors, and asked the taxpayers what they needed. We recruited great candidates, provided them manpower, and gave the voters a clear message and a clear choice.

Erie County has twice as many Democrats as Republicans – but the fact is, they are all taxpayers. Despite our 2:1 Democratic enrollment disadvantage, we have won 8 of the last 10 county-wide elections. We've proven that when you listen, learn and work to solve real problems the voters respond.

I am confident about our future because millions of New Yorkers believe in our cause and the principles we are here to defend.

We must send a message to voters of all affiliations that we are a Party that they are welcome to belong to if they believe in common sense.

If you believe that New York should open its doors to jobs and opportunities for our families, then the Republican Party welcomes you.

If you believe that New York State spends too much money with no regard for the hardworking taxpayers that are actually paying the bills in this state, then the Republican Party welcomes you!

If you have questioned your future in this state, because taxes are just too high and we don't enjoy the freedoms that people in other states do, then the Republican Party welcomes you!

If you've felt alienated by the extreme, liberal agenda of New York State's one-party socialistic democrat regime, that worships at the alter of partial birth abortion, then the Republican Party welcomes you.

We believe that the United States is a sovereign nation, a nation of laws and secure borders. We believe that a sovereign nation has the right to control its own destiny. This is the land of opportunity, and we must reward those who follow the rules.

We believe that parents with children trapped in failing schools should have the choice to send their kids to a thriving charter school.

We believe the people of New York City deserve a fully functioning safe, modern and clean transit system where trains actually come and go on time so people can get to work.

We believe that people who are forced to live in public housing in New York City have a right to expect buildings where the heat comes on in the winter, the air conditioning works in the summer and hallways are free of punks and drug dealers.

We believe that our natural coalition is not confined to the small towns and countryside of upstate New York. That we are a party with natural appeal to our suburban and downstate neighbors, a party whose natural coalition includes like-minded Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, African Americans, Caribbean Americans, people of all religions, the poor and the middle class, homeowners and renters, private sector employees and those who serve the public.

Our work begins today, and it starts with us in this room. We need to do a better job of listening. We need more dialogue. We need to do a better job of recruiting candidates, and providing them with the manpower they need to win elections. We must acknowledge that we cannot win statewide elections without first winning the hearts and minds of taxpayers of all political stripes, including Independents and Democrat.

The work of our party must not stop there. Victory will not be ours until we have built the infrastructure that we need to get our voters to the polls. We are long overdue for a Republican registration drive in New York, to narrow the gap of enrollment. We must develop our small donor network. We need to do a better job of supporting our county chairs with critical staff, data and technical support because they are the backbone of our party.  We help will revitalize our county committees, support our republican leaders, and build the infrastructure to win a statewide election.

The mission of this Party and what I will focus on every day that I go to work as your State Chairman will be to defeat Andrew Cuomo and elect the next Republican Governor of New York in 2022. That is our mission.

This is our path to victory, and I will not rest until we have knocked on every door, rallied every voter, and delivered our taxpayer first message loud and clear.

I cannot do justice to thanking those that have made my election as Chairman possible or we would be here all night. You know who you are and I am eternally grateful for your friendship and loyalty. I do have to recognize a few.

First and foremost I thank God. God has made all of this possible.

I could not accept this without the love and support from my wife Erin and my 5 year old daughter Madeline.

Erin, my rock, my sounding board, my greatest political advisor,  the greatest mother of our beautiful daughter Madeline Liberty. She is a woman of incredible toughness and patience and an incredibly sharp political operator in her own right. She is dedicated to this mission with me, and has been willing to endure countless nights without me being home to help out, and talking on the phone until all hours of the night.

Thank you Erin and Madeline. I love you.

Robin,

Think of all the time that must have been spent by our intelligence agencies in behind-the-scenes maneuvering to manufacture a pretense for investigating Trump. (And, yes, we're on to them; we're still working on getting the last few puzzle pieces, but we know they did this.) The many millions of taxpayer dollars spent on prosecuting attorneys skilled in the ways of ruining lives in order to win cases. The show trials designed to intimidate and "flip" a former campaign associate whom the judge knows would otherwise be of no interest to them. The immunity deals. The strategic leaks. The close collaboration with major media outlets, through former government officials such as John Brennan and James Comey, to reinforce a chosen narrative while twisting like a pretzel to excuse blatant examples of lawbreaking by the President's political enemies. The endless redacting of documents for no good reason other than covering their tracks. So much time, so much money, so much effort. What is it all for?

TO GET RID OF PRESIDENT TRUMP.

Shocking new poll

By Mike Huckabee

A new poll of Americans suggests that we had better confirm Supreme Court Justices who know and respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, because if they take away our rights, too many Americans won't even realize it.

A survey by the Freedom Forum found that when asked to name the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment, just 56% of Americans could name freedom of speech, and it got even more depressing from there. Only 15% knew it protected freedom of religion (that probably doesn't include some federal judges), 13% could name freedom of the press, 12% knew freedom of assembly, and a pitiful 2% knew that it guaranteed the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

Only 3% of Americans could name four out of the five rights guaranteed by the First Amendment (or six, if you count as two the freedom from government imposition of a religion and the freedom from government interference in the practice of your religion – a lot of people seem to know the former, but not the latter.) Nine percent thought the right to bear arms (Second Amendment) was in the First. Two percent thought it guaranteed the right to vote. And a shocking 40% of Americans couldn't name a single one of their First Amendment rights.

Not surprisingly, the survey also found that the more respondents knew about their rights, the less likely they were to support more government restrictions on them. I would add that it's also not surprising to learn that the rise in support for "Democratic" socialism has been accompanied by a huge rise in ignorance of the Constitutional rights of individuals.

Primary Tuesday

By Mike Huckabee

Today, primary elections are being held in Kansas, Missouri, Michigan and Washington State, and there's a special election in Ohio's 12 th district to fill the House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Pat Tiberi.  All of these races are drawing fevered attention from the national media for what they might indicate about how voters feel about President Trump (Translation: "Come on, you stupid voters! Please, please, please forget about the booming economy and your new jobs and lower taxes and hate Trump like we do!")

The race getting the most attention is that Ohio race, where the seat has been held by Republicans for over 35 years, but polls show a dead heat between 31-year-old Democrat Danny O'Connor and two-term Republican State Senator Troy Balderson.  However, the polls also still show 7% undecided, and the only accurate poll is the one being taken today at the ballot boxes.  O'Connor tried to show some independence that might appeal to moderates when he said he wouldn't back Nancy Pelosi as Speaker if the Democrats took over the House, but he's since backed away from that.  As I've explained before, she is so entrenched and has so much control over committee assignments and purse strings that she will never have to leave until she walks out on her own accord or is carried out feet first.

Our objective journalism corps will also be watching intently to see how candidates endorsed by President Trump fare, as an indicator of whether Republican voters are still with him ("Boo!") or abandoning him (40-point New York Times headline: "YAY!")  Much will also be made of turnout: will there be a big turnout of Democrats, signaling that much-vaunted "blue wave" in November?  Will it be matched (or even swamped) by Republicans, dead set against allowing Democrats to take over the House, where they can halt all the investigations of Deep State perfidy and block all the reforms that Trump has been trying to make, while bringing back the type of tax and regulatory policies that made living through the Obama economy feel like crawling across a hot parking lot covered in fly paper?  Another big question is whether Independents who supported Trump will stick with him or fall for the siren song of socialism being pushed by the Dems' young Bernie Sanders Mini-Me's?  That, we might not know until November, unless a lot of Independents turn out to vote in party primaries.

I'll have a wrap-up of the election results tomorrow.  But until then, I'll just urge Republicans in those states to turn out and vote as if the future of America depended on it.  Because it does.

Censorship online:  The removal of Alex Jones' InfoWars

By Mike Huckabee

All within a period of about 24 hours, the social media giants Facebook, YouTube, Spotify and Apple (iTunes) removed Alex Jones and his InfoWars videos and podcasts from their platforms. As Fox News media critic Howard Kurtz notes at this link, the sites have been under pressure about censoring conservative commentators, but they apparently felt that Jones' brand of conspiracy theorizing fell outside the line of acceptable free speech.

Personally, I don't care for what Jones does, and I would never rely on InfoWars as a news source (then again, same goes for the SPLC, and these sites use them as their trusted advisers!) But I would rather have the marketplace of ideas remain open to all, including bad ideas, with the understanding that the rancid fruit will be identified and rejected, rather than have a self-appointed group of speech police in Silicon Valley pre-judge who's allowed to speak online.

Besides, as several commentators noted, when you're dealing with people who are allegedly paranoid conspiracy theorists, how do you think they'll react to all the social media platforms banning them at the same time?

Meanwhile, Bretibart.com (another site that's had its problems with being blocked by social media) pulled up a remarkably prescient Jones interview from 2015 in which guest Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report warned Jones not to rely on social media for an Internet platform. Drudge has one of the most-visited sites online, but it's an independent website, with only a small presence on Twitter. Drudge said this:

"Make your own place. The Internet allows you to make your own dynamic, your own universe. Why are you gravitating toward somebody else's universe?...They are taking your energy, and you get nothing in return!"

Young people might not remember this, but in the Paleolithic days of the Internet, bloggers each had their own pages, on websites they paid to host. Then they began moving to blogging platform sites, and then to social media sites like Facebook that promised convenience and visibility, easy connections and free membership. But as always, those "freebies" came at a steep price. First, it was loss of privacy and exposure of your personal information, then demonetization of "controversial" content, and now, the corporate bosses are trying to police what users are allowed to say. This has started an exodus of users.

So where will they all go? To other social media sites that will grow big and rich and arrogant and repeat the same cycle? Back to printed books, manual typewriters, friends you know personally and going out into the fresh air occasionally? Or will commentators follow Drudge's advice and return to hosting their own sites, independent of the speech monitors of Silicon Valley?

I have no idea what happens next. But I can tell you this: If I suddenly disappear from Twitter or Facebook for expressing a very-bad, triple-plus-ungood thought, you can always get my newsletter twice a day by email, or find me at MikeHuckabee.com.

RIP Charlotte Rae

By Mike Huckabee

I'm sad to report the death of Charlotte Rae, one of those familiar TV faces many of us grew up with. She passed away Sunday at 92, surrounded by family at her home in L.A.

Most people remember her as the motherly Mrs. Garrett on two long-running shows, "Diff'rent Stokes" and "The Facts of Life." But her career stretched over seven decades. She first came to fame playing Mammy Yokum in the original Broadway production of "L'il Abner;" appeared on such early TV shows as "Car 54, Where Are You;" and kept working almost to the end, on such recent teen shows as "Pretty Little Liars" and "Girl Meets World." She was one of those rare actors whose colleagues describe her as being as warm, funny and down-to-earth in real life as she appeared on screen. In fact, she once said that at a book signing, the fans "all wanted a hug from me! And I gave it to them. All of them."

She will be missed by fans, and boy, will her attitude be missed in Hollywood.

Hope for baby boomers

By Mike Huckabee

Here's a story that gives hope to aging baby boomers that you're never too old to rock, and not just in a rocking chair.  In Germany, police launched a search after two elderly men disappeared from a retirement home.  They were finally located at 3 a.m., in the crowd at Wacken Open Air, the world's biggest heavy metal rock festival (I can imagine them being the only ones there yelling, "Turn it up!")

Police said they were finally persuaded to go back to the home, although they were in a "disoriented and dazed" state and reluctant to leave.  I'll bet that described everyone there.

Robin,

Dear Board Members:

It appears that I will make history as having the shortest tenure in the history of the CMA Foundation Board. I genuinely regret that some in the industry were so outraged by my appointment that they bullied the CMA and the Foundation with economic threats and vowed to withhold support for the programs for students if I remained. I had NO idea I was that influential! I'm somewhat flattered to be of such consequence when all I thought I was doing was voluntarily serving on a non-profit board without pay in order to continue my decades of advocacy for the arts and especially music.

The message here is "Hate Wins." Bullies succeeded in making it untenable to have "someone like me" involved. I would imagine however that many of the people who buy tickets and music are not that "unlike me."

I hereby tender my resignation effective immediately. I hope this will end the unnecessary distraction and deterrent to the core mission of the Foundation which is to help kids acquire musical instruments and have an opportunity to participate in music programs as students.

A tariff primer

By Mike Huckabee

For those baffled by all the fury and debate over President Trump's announcement of new tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, here's a quick primer on what tariffs are, why they're imposed and what their effects can be. As I pointed out here, though, despite all the apocalyptic predictions, it's impossible to say yet what the effects will be, because so far, there are no details of what Trump wants to do that couldn't fit into a tweet. Read this and you'll be prepared when the plan actually appears.

Guns save lives

By Mike Huckabee

In an age when Van Jones on CNN can make comparisons of the NRA to the KKK and not be called on it, it was good to see former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice shock the women on "The View" by saying that she supports the Second Amendment because privately-owned guns saved her and her family from racists.

Click the link to read her harrowing account of how, as a little girl in mid-century Alabama, she and her family and neighbors were targeted by the White Knight Riders. Her father and his friends would stand guard at the head of their neighborhood and fire guns into the air to scare them away. She said they knew that Birmingham's notoriously racist "Commissioner of Public Safety," Bull Connor, and the police department wouldn't protect them.

To deflate the hosts' misconceptions even more, Rice added, "I'm sure if Bull Connor had known where those guns were, he would have rounded them up. And so I don't favor some things like gun registration."

https://ijr.com/ijr-red/2018/03/1072094-condoleezza-rice-view-bull-connor/

So just to clarify this history lesson for CNN commentators: The White Knight Riders she referred to were the KKK, an organization founded by Southern Democrats. Bull Connor: also a Democrat. The black people who asserted their Second Amendment right to own personal firearms to defend themselves when the government couldn't or wouldn't also formed chapters of the NRA to protect those rights (the NRA allowed blacks to join and form NRA chapters when many other organizations refused them entry). So you see, it was black NRA members against the KKK, not KKK-loving NRA members against black people.

If you're interested in learning more about the history of African-Americans using private firearms and forming NRA clubs to protect themselves from racists, here's an in-depth article about it at Ammo.com. Note that after his house was fire-bombed in 1956, Martin Luther King Jr. applied for a gun permit, which the State of Alabama declined to issue. Guess which organization fought state permitting laws that denied the Rev. King his right to protect his home and family from violent racists? I'll give you a hint: three letters, and they aren't K-K-K.

History lesson

By Mike Huckabee

Interesting history lesson: I wonder how many Trump-hating New Yorkers who are paying a month's rent for "Hamilton" tickets realize that the hero of that hip-hop musical would have been outraged at liberal judges overreaching their very limited powers to block the President's immigration and national security measures.

The View

By Mike Huckabee

I enjoy sparring with the ladies of "The View," but I was taken aback recently when Joy Behar suggested that Vice President Mike Pence, and anyone who thinks that Jesus has spoken to them, is mentally ill. That's the kind of statement that can come back to bite you, and not just when your time is up on Earth. It's also pretty uncomfortable for a liberal talk show host when someone points out that the god you do believe in – the great and mighty Oprah – believes in all sorts of New Age spiritualist ideas, and she even said she asked God to tell her whether to run for President. When you depend on the approval of "The View's" audience for your livelihood, you may be able to get away with insulting Jesus, but not Oprah.

Personally, of course, I don't think anyone is mentally ill for seeking the guidance of Jesus in deciding what political policies to pursue. Seeking guidance on how to run the country from "The View" -- now THAT'S crazy.
