I think there was great Chasdei Hashem that the category 5 changed to Category 2 in Fla and the death toll in Texas and Fla was as low as it was considering the magnitude of the hurricanes and the massive floodings. Each death is terrible.. not to in any way minimize the tragic loss of every individual...

I think the Tefillot, prayers and unbelievable acts of Chesed, kindness starting from POTUS and FLOTUS in the White House on Federal level all the way down to local  level by Jews and Righteous Noahides were  key factors in mitigating the number of fatalities and aftermath ramifications both in Texas and Fla. 

Can a State bentch HaGomel?

Dear Jason,

There really are no dishonest methods here, the simple fact is that David N. Myers has worked, written on behalf, and supported groups that work to delegitimize Israel.

The public record shows how you as the Executive Director of the ASF have supported and defended him from day one. It is not me saying it, your own published emails prove it. 

If your analysis of the impotence of The American Sephardi Foundation on removing David N.Myer is correct, then the organization must issue a public statement calling for the removal of David N. Myers immediately. Your lone Board member needs to indicate to the CJH board that the ASF has lost all confidence in David N. Myer to lead the CJH.

At this point, as the ASF Executive Director you have been publicly speaking in support of this BDS enabler and advocate. It is now not enough to say we have no input, your Board  must speak out publicly and immediately.

Your support and defense of David N. Myers in the email below is inexplicable.  The total picture is of an academic historian that has aligned himself with the most rabid organizations looking to delegitimize the Jewish State of Israel.   This makes him unfit to lead the Center for Jewish History. 


These new revelations are devastating:


Your assessment that this issue is mute is naive.  David N. Myers is completely unfit to head the Center for Jewish History. As the wider Jewish community learns of his positions and his political activities to delegitimize the Jewish State, the pressure will grow on the American Sephardi Foundation to remove him from the CJH communal position.


Sadly, his anti-Israel activities seem to not register with you. While you may support & fight for him to retain his position at the CJH, I doubt that view is held by your Board and financial supporters. 


As the person that helped organize the two large Klinghoffer protests at the Metropolitan Opera and the large STOP IRAN RALLY in Times Square, I promise you that we will work & mobilize the Jewish community to encourage the ASF to remove David N. Myers as President and CEO of the CJH. 


The anti-Israel views and activities of David N. Myers renders him unfit to head any Jewish Communal Organization.

Letter by JVP denying that David N. Myers ever was affiliated with any JVP (Jewish Voice for Peace) Leadership body. Note that his name is not listed on the side bar of this letter. They didn't manage to successfully white wash the traces of his involvement... Sounds familiar?... Wonder how they will explain this discrepancy?

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein kept it all in the basement of his secret police headquarters. Until the U.S. invasion the material which included thousands of documents, artifacts and everything from Jewish day school records to rare editions of the Talmud moldered away.
In May 2003, 16 American soldiers searching for biological and chemical weapons entered the building, and there in the basement, in four feet of water, they found the waterlogged treasures of the destroyed Jewish community.
The State Department has now announced that the stolen Jewish property will be "returned" to the Iranian puppet regime in Baghdad in September 2018.

Friends,
Never forget.
Sixteen years ago today, we lost thousands of American lives in one of the greatest tragedies this country has ever known. Even today, this many years later, the death toll continues onward as too many of our heroic first responders are sick and dying from the toxins they breathed in on the pile at Ground Zero. Sadly, more NYPD officers have died since 9/11 due to their 9/11-related illnesses than died on 9/11 itself. In the past year alone, we've painfully lost dozens of first responders. Among them was my friend and FDNY firefighter Ray Pfeifer, a true giant of a man who lived his life doing good for others.
I got to know many first responders like Ray as we worked together to pass the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Reauthorization Act. These were men and women whose bravery knew no bounds. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
I try to think about what it must have felt like to be in their boots and uniforms that day. When the towers fell, our heroes never thought twice. Tragically, some first responders never got out of the burning buildings they ran into to save others. Other first responders spent months working in the ash and rubble, day after day, looking for survivors. This is who we are as Americans. They were shining lights in the darkness.
When New York was hurting, those responders came from all over the country to support us. So I hope you'll also extend gratitude and support for the brave men and women working in dangerous conditions on the hurricane and fire recovery efforts in Florida, Texas and out west.
Please join me in taking a moment to honor all the loved ones we lost sixteen years ago today and the heroes who have given so much since.
I hope you'll join me in sending thoughts and prayers to everyone whose pain and loss feels overwhelming today. And I'd encourage you to hold your own loved ones a little tighter.
