Netanyahu's Dilemma: A Matter of Character

Prof. Paul Eidelberg

PM Netanyahu as well as Israel is confronted by a dilemma which may be stated as follows. Israel's Arab-Muslim population is about 20%, one million, and Israel cannot forcibly expel this hostile population – a veritable "fifth column" – without incurring worldwide condemnation, economic sanctions, and other penalties.

Some political scientists, notably Martin Sherman, have suggested that the Muslims in question be paid to leave Israel. This is hardly a realistic solution since these Muslims are living quite freely and contentedly in this country, where they can continue not only to murder Jews and thus fulfill Islam's highest moral imperative, but where they are also paid for killing Jews by receiving annual grants of hundreds of millions of dollars from the United States, as well as similar rewards from the European Union and Saudi Arabia.

The truth is that killing Jews is the chosen and well-paid vocation of these Muslims, and they are not about to quit a lucrative job which also earns them praise from Allah! Besides, why should they leave the Land of Israel when they have been promised independent statehood in Judea and Samaria, the immemorial heartland of the Jewish people?

Since Israel will not expel her Muslims enemies by force, Israel has no alternative but to induce them to leave voluntarily. There is only one way to do this, and that is to make political and commercial life in Israel so Jewish that most of these Muslims – if they do not wish to assimilate – will want to leave Israel if they can obtain residence (travel paid by Israel) in a Muslim country, one that would profit from their arrival since such Muslims would provide (thanks to Israel) the most educated and technologically skilled Arab immigrants, so much needed in the backward Muslim world.

Unfortunately, this is beyond the mentality of Israel's secular and uninspired Prime Minister, who has gained a reputation by consorting year after year with his counterpart, Palestinian Prime Minister, Mahmoud Abbas, a terrorist dedicated to Israel's destruction.◙

News Release

ZOA: Don't Appoint Israel-Basher Cong. Keith Ellison As Chair of the
Democratic National Committee

Why are ADL/Other Jewish Groups Silent About Ellison's Real Anti-Semitism,
While Wrongly Condemning Bannon?

If Someone with Ellison's Record Were Running for Chair of Republican
National Committee Would ADL Be Silent?

For more information contact Morton A. Klein 212-481-1500

NEW YORK, November 18, 2016

In sum, Congressman Keith Ellison's Anti-Israel positions and anti Semitic
record are too divisive and dangerous to appoint him to head the DNC. ZOA urges Senator Chuck Schumer and others to take a strong stance against
Ellison.

Robin,

Outgoing Secretary of State John Kerry (and what sweet words those are) lectured President-elect Trump on climate change -- pompous, condescending lectures being the native tongue of the Obama Administration. Read all the details at the link, along with a critic's notation that Kerry's recent flight to Antarctica to draw attention to CO2 emissions emitted more CO2 than the average American does in a year.

Just FYI: a reader of CNSNews.com noted that would be true if Kerry had taken a first class seat on a passenger airliner. He didn't. He jetted to Antarctica on a dedicated Boeing 757, which means he actually spewed more CO2 than 52 average Americans produce in a year. But then, he is a world class spewer of hot air.

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

Ludicrous Attacks Against Steve Bannon Don't Pass The Smell Test

By Mike Huckabee

Once again, the left is trying to tell us what to do—let's not let them!

The latest example of leftist bullying is the relentless campaign to force President-elect Donald Trump to separate himself from Stephen K. Bannon, his incoming White House counselor.

The left has sought to dictate to us—that is, people of faith, conservatives, and, broadly, the American people—for, frankly, the entirety of our lives. For decades, liberal legislators, liberal judges, and liberal "journalists" have tried to tell us what to do, what to think, and yes, who to hire. During that time, the left has scored its share of victories—in politics, in the culture, and the law. The most tragic of these leftist victories, of course, was the disastrous 1973 decision, Roe vs. Wade.

However, we've been fighting back! In 1980 we elected Ronald Reagan. In 1994, we elected Newt Gingrich's majority to Congress. And now, in 2016, we've elected Donald Trump and yet another Republican Majority on Capitol Hill.

So now, having seen their radical agenda thwarted by the voters this November, the leftists are taking a new approach: They are attempting to target a member of Donald Trump's staff. But their real target isn't Steve Bannon. Instead, their real target is the center-right agenda—including conservative judges—that the Trump campaign, with Steve Bannon's help, has embodied.

Perhaps I should tell you about the Steve Bannon I know. He is a conservative in his core—the kind of deep beliefs imprinted into him by his working-class background in a flag-waving blue-collar family in Norfolk, VA, as well as by his years of service in the US Navy, including in the hot zone of the Persian Gulf. And if you wish to know more about Steve's values, please take a look at this transcript of a speech he delivered in the Vatican in 2014—he uses the phrase "Judeo-Christian values" no fewer than ten times. It's worth noting that Steve's speech was delivered two years ago, long before anyone, except perhaps Donald Trump, had any idea that we would be where we are today.

In his work as executive chairman of Breitbart News, he has been on the edge of the populist-nationalist surge that helped provide the agenda for the Trump Revolution.

And then, of course, he joined the Trump campaign in August, and the rest is history.

Is Steve Bannon controversial? Sure. Has he made enemies? Sure—but only among those who don't know him well!

But of course, Steve Bannon's merits as a person, as well as a political strategist, don't matter to the left. The left wants to take him down, just as it wants to take Donald Trump down, just as it wants to take America as we know it down. The left hasn't given up on its dream of imposing its values on all of us. Forever.

I say: No More. We shouldn't let the left win.

Send a loud signal of opposition against leftist dominion. I hope that you will join me as we all stand prayerfully in a wall of support for Steve, and for the incoming Trump administration.

Media Integrity

By Mike Huckabee

The New York Times took the lead in throwing its journalistic integrity down the toilet and turning itself into an arm of the Clinton campaign. But then, they discovered that painting the Republican candidate (and half his supporters) as sexist, racist, Islamaphobic, homophobic xenophobes didn't work. Maybe after hearing every GOP presidential nominee since Eisenhower denounced as the next Hitler, people got tired of the left crying Wolfgang and tuned them out. So the editors vowed to try to do better and start committing actual journalism. But old habits die hard. Trump hasn't even started picking his Cabinet yet, and they're already raising shrill alarms about the sexist, racist, Islamaphobic, etc., monsters he has helping him pick those people. Can you imagine what they'll say about his actual picks?

The current focus of outrage is Trump campaign strategist Steve Bannon, formerly of Breitbart.com, whose appointment as a White House adviser sparked a major meltdown over what an evil, anti-Semitic, white supremacist he is (why, he's the next Hitler!) Before anyone lets the leftwing howling sweep them away, check out this article, "The Borking of Bannon," in the Jewish newspaper, The Algemeiner. The writer, Jewish author Ira Stoll, has had experience with Bannon and didn't even recognize him from the hysterical description in the Times. He points out how it's largely built out of guilt-by-association (a tactic liberals used to denounce as "McCarthyism" before they figured out how to make it work for them).

But of course, only conservatives are held responsible for what other people say. As Stoll notes, the Times, in the very same issue, quotes "experts" who want Trump to keep the Iran nuclear deal without noting that their book was "widely condemned by Jewish groups" and endorsed by David Duke.

Before you let yourself be roused into righteous rage by the latest media assault on any Trump ally, do some independent research to see how much truth there is to it, if any, and if the sources of those scary charges are reliable or have an agenda. As Mr. Stoll cleverly makes clear in this must-read article, if the New York Times and its publisher were given the same selective outrage treatment they are giving to Trump and his associates, it might well be known as the most sexist, racist, anti-Semitic newspaper on the planet.

Robin,

Fox News noted that it took Obama nearly three weeks after his election to name his first Cabinet appointee. Jimmy Carter's first pick took five weeks. Reagan, Clinton and George W. Bush didn't name any Cabinet members until week six.

But it's been nine whole days since Trump won, and he's yet to announce his Cabinet. So according to the media that's "chaos!" A "behind-the-scenes knife fight!"

I think you guys need to go back to the drawing board and work a little harder on that "we'll be real objective journalists now" promise.

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

Washington Same-Sex Marriage Case

By Mike Huckabee

Donald Trump said the same-sex marriage issue was settled by the Supreme Court, but the problem with legislating from the bench is that it opens up a Pandora's box of unintended consequences. Like creating new rights that conflict with existing rights. As in this story of a devoutly Christian, Washington State grandmother whose florist shop declined to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding. She's been sued, fined, and threatened with losing her life savings, retirement fund and business unless she violates her religious beliefs and renounces her First Amendment right to practice her faith without infringement by the government.

This week, she took her case before the state Supreme Court. Read the details now, because there's a good chance it could end up before the US Supreme Court, which is currently tied 4-4 with Trump set to appoint the swing vote. So just in case you still thought elections don't matter to the average person's life…

The Investigation Continues

By Mike Huckabee

There's a debate raging now about whether President Trump should pursue the investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails. If he doesn't, supporters who want laws applied equally will be angry. If he does push for a special prosecutor or Congressional investigation, liberals will accuse him of acting like a banana republic dictator prosecuting his political opponent. Which would be doubly ironic, considering that allowing powerful politicians to break laws that would imprison ordinary citizens is itself a hallmark of a banana republic.

GOP Senate leaders apparently don't want the media to call them Banana Republicans, so they're backing away from the idea of investigating Hillary any further, huffing that there are more important priorities.

However, in the House, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, says the investigation will "absolutely" continue. Between Clinton's classified emails, the Clinton Foundation, quid pro quos, perjury allegations and possibly the largest breach of security in the history of the State Department, all involving dozens of people, Chaffetz says there's a "huge, massive mess that has to be cleared up" and Congress would be remiss in its duties if it didn't investigate and fix it so it never happens again.

Expect this to be opposed by House Democrats, who can always argue that being remiss in its duties is a hallowed Congressional tradition.
