Understanding Islam in this age of Jewish Muslim Alliances

bs"d

Dear Journalists, Rabbis and Members of my list,

In light of the latest craze of Conservative and Reform Rabbis across America,(Orthodox Rabbis tend to be Silent and not take a stand) to foster Interfaith Dialogue between Jews and Muslims and promoting tolerance, moderation, diversity, and pluralism which is the active seeking of understanding across lines of difference,   I wish to present to you very enlightening articles. Please read the articles in their entirety.  They suggest a reality that differs 180 degrees from the reality presented to a clueless, naive, gullible and unknowing audience by the organizations listed below. Thank you.

  • PMW Bulletins - PMW  gives the world a precise understanding of the reality of the Palestinian Authority by translating, monitoring and analyzing the Palestinian Authority through its media and schoolbooks.PMW has presented its findings before members of US Congress and to members of Parliament in numerous countries

Organizations promoting Interfaith Dialogue seeking and promoting an illusion of tolerance, moderation, diversity, and pluralism:

  • Americans for Peace Now invents right wing violence, labels Knesset bills to limit funding to NGO's that hurts Israel as antidemocratic, promotes the boycott of  Israeli products based on false claim of Israel's occupation of the Palestinians, full of lies and distortions of Torah, history and fact
  • Families of Abraham  presents Islam as a peaceful and tolerant religion when they are anything but (see above articles)
  • The Pluralism Project assumes one can engage those out for Israel's destruction with actively seeking understanding in dialogue and communication.
  • Clergy for Tolerance same as above
  • ILJB Institute for Living Judaism in Brooklyn features Koran Events
is a mini-series of classes on Islam and Judaism. classes taught by Jewish and Muslim scholars will explore some common religious rituals of the two faiths, their origins, meaning, variations in observance, etc. They present themselves as pluralistic but in the one event I attended they had full control of who speaks in their audience and what is said at their events by not allowing freedom of an attendee to express oneself.  Questions are  submitted on index cards and presented by their moderator and not by the one with the questions. There is no way to respond in debate mode to lies and distortions presented by the panelists.
  • Global Jewish Muslim Alliance headed by Rabbi Marc Schneier, twins Mosques with Synagogues promoting an illusion of tolerance, moderation, diversity, and pluralism. Learn about the joint efforts to build a global movement of Jews and Muslims committed to communication, reconciliation and cooperation. This event kicks off the fourth Weekend of Twinning (Nov 18-20), an annual event in which mosques and synagogues, Jewish and Muslim students, young leadership and women's groups hold face-to-face encounters in cities around the globe to celebrate commonalities in the two faiths and undertake social action projects.Brief Biographies: Rabbi Marc Schneier is founding rabbi of the Hampton Synagogue and president of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU).Imam Muhammad Shamsi Ali is spiritual leader of the Islamic Cultural Center of New York (96th Street Mosque), the largest and most influential mosque in New York City.Dr. Mehnaz Afridi is director of the Manhattan College Holocaust, Genocide and Interfaith Education Center.

Protest destruction of Shul and confiscation of Sifrei Torah Sunday Dec 11 across Israeli Consulate. Notzrim. Evangelicals are they rooted in Shevet Ephraim of the Ten Lost Tribes?

bs"d

When the government of Israel confiscated 3 Torahs from Givat Arheh and destroyed the shul and broke the Aron Kodesh, they demonstrated their disregard for Torah.  Let us counter this Chillul Hashem with our own vigil in honor of the Torah.  Calling on all Torah believers and especially Rabbanim to stand up for Torah and thereby weaken the Gov't of Israel's decision to nullify Torah when it comes to Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.

Please don't be apathetic.  Apathy serves to empower those who are our enemies who are proactive in their agenda. Apathy is our biggest danger. (please read the rest of this email to the end where you will find some very fascinating links)

From Helen Freedman of AFSI:

PROTEST THE ONGOING DEMOLITION DERBY AGAINST JEWISH HOMES AND SYNAGOGUES BY THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT -

SUNDAY, DEC. 11, 2011 - FROM 11 AM - NOON - OPPOSITE THE ISRAELI CONSULATE - SECOND AVE. & 42ND STREET, NYC

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND - INVITE FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, ALL LOVERS OF A WHOLE ISRAEL TO JOIN YOU -

Speakers will include our grass roots leaders who are not afraid to criticize the Israeli government when it follows policies that desecrate G-d's name!

This protest has been triggered by the recent destruction of the synagogue at Givat Aryeh, and the confiscation of the Torah scrolls. We are also protesting additional planned demolitions about which we have been informed:  in Givat HaUlpana in Bet-El, Givat Assaf, Amona, and additional demolitions of homes in Migron. The AFSI Chizuk group saw three demolished homes there on our recent November visit.
The uplifting story of the creation of Givat Aryeh by a group of young, Jewish pioneers, led by YEDAYA SHOHAM, in response to the brutal butchery of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar, descends into a tragic tale of demolition and disgrace. AFSI was privileged to be part of the joyous creation of the synagogue, and the dedication, on Nov. 15, 2011,  of a Torah scroll rescued from the Holocaust.
On Dec. 1 we learned of the Israeli government's betrayal of its purpose and its people when it sent in a Destructo squad, including Arabs, to demolish the modest tent homes and the synagogue on the hilltop.

Christians have been responding quite angrily to this demolition.

CHRISTIAN ASKS BIBI, "WHAT SHALL I TELL MY GRANDSON ABOUT SYNAGOGUE DESTRUCTION IN ISRAEL?"

Subj: What Do I Tell My Grandson?

Dear  Mr. Prime Minister:

We are wondering where the man is that stood up to President Obama as we proudly watched him address our American Congress.
A number of years ago we saw you, a man who simply wanted to start his day with a workout at the Anatole Hotel Gym in Dallas, Texas.  Yet on that morning you were interrupted by a horrific phone call regarding yet another murderous bus bombing in Jerusalem.  We personally watched your face and the pain that was evident in your heart.  Where was that man December 1,  that either directly or indirectly ordered the demolition of Givat Aryeh?.

The week after the Fogel Family was butchered we took all our children and grandchildren to see Irving Roth, a survivor of Buchenwald.  As we were discussing Eretz Israel and how to impart this to our family,  Mr. Roth suggested, "a trip like no other trip would be with  Americans For a Safe Israel".  My husband suggested I take our 15 year old grandson, Matt.

Mr. Prime Minister, Matt was at Givat Aryeh in June of this year.  He saw Eretz Israel in the eyes and heard it in the voices of these people.  He stood in the yet unfinished synagogue that would soon hold the holy Holocaust Torah scroll.

Again,I went back to Givat Aryeh just a few weeks ago with Americans For a Safe Israel.  As a Christian I cried as I watched the unmitigated joy of these Jewish people as they sang and danced up the hill to the synagogue at Givat Aryeh.  My grandson rejoiced with me through email pictures, and video.

Sir, respectfully, what do I tell him now?  As Zionist Christians we have taught our children, our grandchildren, and will teach our great grandchildren

Genesis 12:3.  Mr. Prime Minister, G-d says, "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you".  I have to ask you where that now puts you and the Israeli government this week?  Of all times and people you and the government have to have G-d's blessings right now,  this day, this month, this year!

I told Matt that I had given a copy of his favorite child's book, I AM A HOLOCAUST TORAH, to the Mayor of Itamar, Rabbi Moshe Goldsmith.  It is a little book written by Rabbi Alex Goldman about the 1564 Czech Torahs stolen by the Nazis.  It is written in the first person through the mind, heart and words of one of these Torahs.  Mr. Prime Minister, if this precious, holy Polish Torah scroll survived the Holocaust could talk, what would it say to you today?
In this book the author says, "some scrolls live fortunate happy lives.  They are carried around during services...rabbis dance, holding them aloft.  Still other scrolls are unlucky, pushed to the back of the ark, unloved, silent.  Still other scrolls suffer a tragic fate and go through fire and suffering, die, or survive in a damaged condition.  Yet all contain the same sacred Words, all are holy in the eyes of the beholder".
Prime Minister Netanyahu, has the last word been written over this particular Torah scroll, or will you allow it to return to its rightful and final home?  G-d has given you the position to be able to change the ending of this story.

Respectfully,

 Ann and John Stacy

Another example of the Notzrim making a statement:

Christian Tourists Angry at Discrimination at Outpost

Christian tourists, threatened by arrest during a visit in Yesha, ask Netanyahu why leftists at the site were not arrested.Christian tourists, threatened with arrest during a solidarity visit at an outpost in Judea and Samaria, ask Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu why leftists at the site were not arrested.
The 34 Canadians and eight Americans stopped for a visit at the Oz Tzion outpost during their recent two-week visit.
"Your troops showed up and threatened to arrest the men of our group if we did not leave within 10 minutes," Alberta, Canada resident Al Dublanko wrote the Prime Minister.
He revealed, "The colonel who came to arrest us confessed that he has seen many busloads of foreigners come to his region, all in support of the Arabs against the settlers."
Dublanko asked Prime Minister Netanyahu, "Why would you so easily let these confessed enemies of Israel wander around with immunity, and arrest us who support you?  On a previous visit we went to Bat Ayin [in Gush Etzion], and the residents were visibly upset thinking us to be yet another busload of Peace Now activists coming to taunt them over the terrible slayings of their [the Bat Ayin] children."  He was referring to the terrorist who infiltrated the town and murdered 13 year old Shlomo Nativ with an ax.
The Christian group had visited Oz Tzion shortly after Israeli police raided the community and destroyed most of it. Dublanko wrote, "The pathetic little outpost had already suffered the indignity of having 15 shacks torn down in a violent manner by your troops during the night, and they had succeeded in rebuilding only one….
"Mr. Netanyahu, you are confused. We are not your enemy. You do not seem to know who your heroes or your friends are. You move against your own people with the excuse of keeping rules and agreements, meanwhile ignoring the rules and even facilitating the rule breaking of your enemies.
"You protect the most anti-Semitic leftist groups as they move around your country trying to foment anti-Israeli sentiments, and expel our little group because we agree with the settlers in their belief that G-d gave the Jewish people the land.
"Mr. Prime Minister, your attempt at appeasement of world opinion is not working nor can it ever work. Jews are a chosen people and Israel is a special country, established not by a UN declaration, or Balfour Declaration, or any negotiations, not even by the might of the IDF, but by an ancient promise by G-d….
"We Christians know this, the Arabs know this, and you and every Jew in the world knows this. This is not to be debated….
"The European nations who support the Anti- Israel peace movements so generously, have the same hatred toward the Jewish people that they showed in WW2, and these groups are just their grandchildren trying to finish the task…
Dublanko said he is planning to send his teenage children to Israel in the spring because "we want them to see the courage and faith of the settlers and the total commitment of the youth like those of Oz Tzion and Bat Ayin.  We ask that you not arrest them."

Rabbanim, Where is the United  Jewish Voice?

I find it very interesting and not coincidental that the Notzrim  (also the Hebrew Name for Christians) speak out to protect the Shomron.  The root נצר means to safeguard. In תנך Tanach, the word Notzrim is often mentioned in connection with Ephraim and the Shomron (see the prophesy of Yirmiyahu 31:6)

Can it be that these Evangelicals have their root in Shevet Ephraim whereby they accepted Christianity in the land to where they were exiled.

In any case one can not deny that in todays news, Evangelicals are proving themselves as the watchmen for the Shomron and protecting Israel's Birthright.  In researching this phenomenon I came across the following interesting links that address the Ten Lost Tribes and what happened to the Tribe of Ephraim.

Do not donate to MDA! Magen David Adom Pledges to Leave West Bank

bs"d

If you know of any contributors to Magen David Adom please pass on this information.  Why should their hard earned money to support Israel be misdirected to support our enemies without their knowledge?

This issue has been festering since before the state was established.  IRC (International Red Cross) has not wanted to recognize the symbol or the organization. The fact that MDA (Magen David Adom) is trying so hard to gain their acceptance is really disappointing. They seem to have lost all self respect.  The fact that they are effectively negotiating away Jewish/Israeli rights in Yehuda and Shomron is shocking. I can not believe they are being allowed to do that by the government or whoever oversees the availability of emergency services to all Israelis.  The further fact that they have signed an agreement that bars them from picking up Israelis in Yehuda and Shomron, is beyond belief.  They are not allowed to put ambulances there!  Not mentioned here is a clause that commits MDA to upholding the humanitarian standards of the IRC and the PRCS (Palestinian Red Crescent Society).  If that is not a slap in the face, if that wasn't a hint that this agreement is not one to be signed I don't know what is.

So they are committed to removing the red Magen David – one suggestion might be to replace it with a yellow Star of David, IRC never had a problem with that.

I would suggest that if you know any individual or organization that is planning to donate an ambulance to MDA, suggest that they find a better place to put the donations.  Aside from what is in this article, you might tell them that MDA sells the ambulances after just a few years, well less than half their life according to the manufacturers, in order to put the funds into their general revenues.  Getting donations to general revenues would be fine, but I suspect they feel that it is easier to sell an ambulance than a desk.  They must be getting a lot of ambulances.  However, we must recognize that by doing it this way they are purposely squandering a significant portion of the donation by using and selling ambulances in a market where they are practically the only people who buy ambulances.  Aside from the issue of how much (or little) they get for their used ambulances, I wonder who they are selling them to.  I understand that part of their agreement with IRC is that they will give some ambulances to the PRCS, something that they did already a few years ago.  I wonder how that plays with people and organizations that scrape together a lot of money to donate an ambulance to our brothers, all our brothers in any part of Israel.  Something is rotten in the state of  …  MDA.  Very rotten.

Haaretz – 02.12.11
Magen David Adom Pledges to Leave West Bank, Haaretz Learns
 By Chaim Levinson
According to the pledge, local authorities in the West Bank will run an ambulance service with different uniforms distinguishing them from their colleagues in Israel proper.
Magen David Adom says it will implement a 2005 agreement to stop funding and operating ambulances in the West Bank, according to a document on the undertaking obtained by Haaretz.  According to the pledge, the local authorities in the West Bank will run the ambulance service, whose staff will wear different uniforms to distinguish them from their MDA colleagues in Israel proper.
These steps had been agreed on in 2005, when Magen David Adom joined the International Federation of the Red Cross, but had not been implemented. MDA would also remove the Star of David from its ambulances in the West Bank, replacing it with a red diamond shape.
For its part, Magen David Adom said in a statement on Thursday that it is "not familiar with the document in question. We denounce the attempt to use fragmental information, most of it distorted, and present it as facts. Magen David Adom is operating as usual with no change in the entire West Bank, with the organization's emblem as it has been until now."
In June this year, Magen David Adom agreed to implement the 2005 measures at a meeting with former IFRC general secretary Per Stenbeck and the Palestinian Red Crescent chairman in Finland.  Magen David Adom signed understandings with the Palestinian Red Crescent in 2005 to stop operating ambulances in the West Bank, which falls under the PRC's jurisdiction. A senior Red Cross source said that then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon personally authorized the agreement.
Stenbeck, a former Finnish foreign minister, was appointed to supervise the implementation of the deal.
In 2009, Magen David Adom told Stenbeck it had transferred its ambulances in the West Bank to the local authorities, but could not change the emblem. On March 22 this year, the IFRC management met in Geneva and insisted that Israel carry out this clause.
At the beginning of June this year, senior Red Cross officials from the United States, France, Indonesia and Turkey came to Israel to pressure Magen David to change the emblem on the ambulances.  At the meeting in Finland later that month, Magen David Adom Chairman Noam Yifrah, the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent and Stenbeck agreed to change the Star of David emblems on the ambulances and the MDA's uniforms in the West Bank. Yifrah submitted examples of the new emblem and promised that foreign donations for buying Magen David Adom ambulances would not be used for buying ambulances for the settlements.
In August, MDA started calling in ambulances from the West Bank to Israel to change the emblem, angering the settlers and raising a political uproar.  Stenbeck came to Israel last month and met Foreign Ministry officials, who told him they support the full implementation of the agreement.
On November 13, Magen David Adom told the IFRC it had changed the markings on 62 of 68 ambulances posted in settlements, with a picture showing the new emblem. The emblem on five mobile intensive care units and nine ambulances that MDA still operates in the West Bank will be replaced by the end of 2012, it said.  Magen David Adom also said it had ordered new uniforms for its volunteers in the West Bank but had yet to receive them.
MDA reported that it had problems with foreign donators due to the decision to change the emblem and had received a letter from the state comptroller asking for a clarification on the issue. It also said a number of settlers had changed the emblem on the ambulances themselves and MDA intended to take legal steps against them.

In this week's transmission I have included articles by our friends, Aharon Pulver of the Israel Independence Fund, Helen Freedman of AFSI, Ron Jager and news report about visit to Shomron by our dear friend Rep. Alan Clemmons of South Carolina. http://www.wmbfnews.com/story/16159353/representative-clemmons-visits-israel This page is full of links for additional reading and links for direct donations for needs and projects in the Shomron. The needs here are great, I hope that you will dig down into your pocket and do your best to support the people and development of the Jewish communities of the Shomron. This is Israel's heartland and the heart of the Jewish people. Please be part of this.

This week my trusted colleague has launched a special campaign to distribute 400 blankets to families in the Shomron who are in financial distress. To be sure that they and their children have a warm winter. In the next stage we will also be assisting them with their basic needs and help them manage their own source of income. If you would like to make a donation that will go directly to assist a needy family in the Shomron please hit this link

As you will read in articles and reports below, the Gal Aryeh hilltop in Itamar, its homes and synagogue were destroyed this week. Your help is needed to help the residents rebuild their homes and establish tempory dwellings. If you would like to be part of that please make a donation via this link

Chanuka is only a few weeks away. Again this year we plan on reaching out to the dedicated young men and women of the IDF serving in the Shamron region. We will be bringing them the joy of the holiday with donuts, candle lighting parties and music entertainment. We wish to reach 2500 solders and estimate the holiday package at $10 for each one. In addition to that we will be displaying the miracle of Chanuka by placing giant Chanka Menora on the major roads and junctions of the Shomron. At each one we will have Chanuka parties each evening
for the children of the Shomron together with the IDF soldiers. Sponsorship for each giant Chanuka Menora is set at $500. If you would like to sponsor

Each of the donation links are dedicated to the specific project detailed. On the paypal donation page there is room for a detailed message if you would like to dedicate the donation in honor of someone or any other related information.

Thank you again for your support,

Shabbat Shalom from the Shomron,

OpEd: Colonists or Sons of the Land?
by David Ha'ivri Executive Director - Shomron Liaison Office

Universities and the "Twitterverse" are flooded with anti-Israel propaganda accusing Israel of being an apartheid state that discriminates against Arabs on a racial basis. These propagandists' other mantra is that Jewish settlers are colonists settling land that rightfully belongs to others. The two main strategies of Israel's enemies are: 1) keep the international community ignorant of the region's true history (with a sprinkling of anti-Semitic conditioning), and 2) simply repeat the same lies again and again until they are unquestioningly accepted as truth. Read More...

Newly Built Synagogue Near Itamar Destroyed
by Helen Freedman Executive Director AFSI - Americans For A Safe Israel

Readers of Arutz Sheva, and followers of AFSI, know that the AFSI Chizuk mission was in Israel, Nov. 13-22, with one of our express purposes being the dedication of a Torah scroll at Itamar, which had been rescued from the Shoah. We began the festivities with great joy and celebration, greeting young and old who had come to the social hall in Itamar at the invitation of Mayor Moshe Goldsmith, his wife, Lea, and heads of the Shomron Regional Council. With the help of the scribe, we completed the restoration of the parchment. Then, with musicians in the lead, we rejoiced in dancing and marching with the Torah scroll to the newly completed synagogue in Givat Aryeh, built in response to the brutal butchery of five members of the Fogel family by Arab terrorists from the nearby town of Awarta.  Read More...

Where are the Poet Laureates?
by Aharon Pulver Executive Director The Israel Independence Fund

The small satellite community of Givat Aryeh was founded immediately after the heinous murder of members of the Fogel family, HY"D.
Perched on a windswept hilltop within earshot of Itamar, the homes and the synagogue of Givat Aryeh were built exactly on that same goat herders path taken by the vile murderers when infiltrating into Itamar. Standing on Givat Aryeh one need only glance upwards, towards Itamar, to see the snake like continuation of that footpath…leading directly to the Fogel family home.
Donations for Gal Aryeh can be made via www.fundisrael.org

The Israeli government destroyed our beautiful hilltop neighborhood Givat Aryeh
by Rabbi Moshe Goldshmith, Mayor of Itamar

It is so hard to fathom that the government of Israel would be so inconsiderate and cruel in destroying the neighborhood that brought new hope to our community after the terrible murder of the fogal family. Itamarresidents felt very secure knowing that there was Jewish presence living below them guarding the community on our southern border. This neighborhood was purposely set up as a strategic location to ensure our security allowing us to control the entire valley below from one guard's position. Just a stones throw from this point reside the most dangerous of terrorist villages- Awarta. What is even more insane is that our holy Kohanim are buried there! The insane act of all was to destroy the entire electric infrastructure of our new camera system thus completely knocking it out of commission and leaving Itamar again in danger of infiltration from the very same village the murderers of the Fogal family came from. Of course
our spirit will not be broken and we will return and rebuild our ruins!

Op-Ed: The JFNA's Invisible Jews by Ron Jager

Did you know? Despite there being no US legal prohibition against tax-exempt donations (501 (3) (c) status) to the area for education, cultural, or health/medical related programs, Federation funding does not go to the Jews of Judea and Samaria.Capping the 80th annual General Assembly (GA) of The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), their Board of Trustees approved a new initiative that strengthens the way the Jewish community prioritizes and takes collective action to confront the major challenges of Jews throughout the world.

"Our greatest strength in the Federations movement has been our willingness to envision a better world and our ability to work together as a global people to accomplish big goals," said Kathy Manning, Chair of the JFNA Board of Trustees. Read More...

Fwd: AFSI feeling the pain of their brothers and sisters in Itamar: Israeli Government Hires Arabs to Demolish Synagogue

Dear Media and Rabbanim and Activist List, amv"sh

Below is a letter from Helen Freedman of Afsi Americans For a Safe Israel and an open letter by Glenn Richter to Benjamin Netanyahu.  As you might remember, Glenn Richter was a leader, the shining star of the SSSJ the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry.  Please read a fascinating interview, monologue where Glenn describes his years of activism for Soviet Jewry. Glenn says "Our publicity and pressure created some form of protection for the refuseniks and Prisoners for Zion to the extent that the Soviets thought it would be easier to kick Jews out and perhaps get American trade credits in the process...."
Let us learn from Glenn that publicity and pressure works.  We are asking the Press and Rabbanim to publicize what is happening in Judea and Samaria. Let me suggest to FIDF (Friends of the IDF) to inform IDF that they will  choose not to support the IDF unless they support and defend Jews in Judea and Samaria but rather send monies directly to the Shomron Liason Council, to One Israel Fund or Mishmeret Yesha  and Honenu to help Jews in Judea and Samaria defend themselves against Arab aggression in response to the IDF's failure to defend and protect them.

THE ISRAELI DEMOLITION DERBY CONTINUES WITH A VENGEANCE: NEWLY BUILT SYNAGOGUE NEAR ITAMAR DESTROYED BY ORDER OF THE BIBI/BARAK DUO, USING ARAB WORKERS TO TEAR APART THE HOLY ARK.

                                 By: Helen Freedman

The synagogue, on the hilltop in Givat Aryeh, was a simple, one-room building. People crowded into it to dance with the Torah scroll. Young children sat on the shoulders of their fathers as they circled happily, rejoicing in this life-giving response to Arab terrorist hatred. Night had fallen by the time we left, but the memory of that afternoon and evening was a bright fire that could never be extinguished.

This morning, Dec. 1, I was alerted to the fact that during the night, at 3 A.M., the Israeli and Arab demolition experts arrived at the hilltop, attacking and demolishing the few little tents, expelling the residents after confiscating their telephones so they couldn't call for help, and destroying our modest, but beautiful synagogue. A wail of disbelief emerged from my heart. What purpose could be served by such senseless cruelty and self-abasement? Would this appease our Arab enemies? Our European enemies? Our UN enemies? Others? Will this bring us closer to peace? The answer is clearly, NO!! It empowers our enemies and strengthens the Zionist zeal.

Below is an open letter to PM Benjamin Netanyahu, drafted by Glenn Richter,  from the members of the AFSI Chizuk mission who were present at the Torah dedication. Anyone who chooses to write a similar letter to him, with a cc to Ehud Barak, is encouraged to do so. The email addresses are: memshala@pmo.gov.il; bnetanyahu@knesset.gov.il, pm_eng2@it.pmo.gov.il. Defense Minister Ehud Barak's email is: pniot@mod.gov.il.

Dear PM Netanyahu:

You weren't there on the late afternoon of Tuesday, November 15th when 25 members of Americans for a Safe Israel/AFSI, who had assembled from all over the U.S.,  joined the community of Itamar in dedicating a Sefer Torah  in memories of Sam and Rita Ross, and of Ruth, Udi, Elad, Hadas, Yoav of Itamar, brutally butchered by Arab terrorists a few months ago.  However, you were there in the Fogels' home at the time of the shiva, vowing to their surviving 12 year-old daughter that you would fight terror. How your recent actions have betrayed that promise!!
You weren't with us when this special Torah, which survived the Shoah  as did Sam and Rita, and was lovingly carried to Israel by their son Jack, a member of our Americans for a Safe Israel mission, was joyously danced down the hill from Itamar under a raised tallit and up the hill to a just-built synagogue in the new neighborhood of Gal Givat Aryeh.  Gal Givat Aryeh was the classic Zionist response to Arab terror -- where they destroy, we build.
You weren't with us when the Torah was kissed and placed with great care in the holy Ark of the synagogue, to accompany two other Torah scrolls.  A photo taken shows that moment.  Light is beaming out from the synagogue onto the darkened Gal Givat Aryeh hilltop and to the surrounding Jewish communities and hostile Arab villages.

But somehow you managed -- through either your direct command or assent -- to be there exactly two weeks later, when your Israeli police and Civil Administration workers brutally bulldozed into wreckage the new synagogue and two other buildings on Gal Aryeh.  You left two families and five singles homeless, and confiscated the Torah scrolls. You used Arab workers, possibly from the same village of Awarta which spawned the murderers of the Fogels,  to gleefully destroy the synagogue and small tents, erected specifically to memorialize the Arab butchery.
In some way you might have thought, Mr. Netanyahu, that this unconscionable act will encourage the Palestinian Authority towards peace.  The opposite:  this act of cowardice completes the work of the Fogels' murderers and only incites more terror.
Mr. Netanyahu:  hang your head in shame.  And tomorrow, grow a spine; rebuild Gal Aryeh, remove the threat of demolition from other Shomron communities that you are menacing, and allow the Jewish communities of the Shomrom to thrive, as you had promised to do when elected.
