This extreme reaction of Bar Ilan, disciplining Dr. Kedar for his remarks rather than addressing them and proving them wrong is indicative that perhaps he is on to something, has let a genie out of the bottle and they are afraid to find out the Emes.

Why would the Professor risk his livelihood and reputation by making false statements to protect an individual who has nothing to give him in return if he wasn't pursuing truth?

It behooves the university to address his remarks with a fair unbiased investigation of the truth rather than prosecuting the whistleblower.

Does Prof. Kedar have an agenda other than the truth as some other whistleblowers out there?

Or is it the University who has an agenda to suppress a fair and just investigation as per the murder of Yitzchak Rabin?

Many of us instinctively distrust  the overreaction of this religious and prestigious University, since THEY have a lot to lose if embarrassing facts about the Deep  State of Israel were uncovered and revealed.
