Jerusalem activist Efraim Holtzberg, who was on scene during the ceremony and documented it, told Arutz Sheva about the incident..... see link to post for full story. In this link the article states:

"The institution of regular Catholic and Greek Orthodox prayers at the site are particularly sensitive because they constitute a severe breach of Jewish prayer rights. Rabbis have argued Jews will be prevented from entering the holy site altogether because Jewish law forbids using a building that is used for idol-worship - a category which the Christian worship, with its use of effigies, falls under according to Jewish law....

Holtzberg noted that in order to prevent the Torah scrolls at the site from being desecrated by their proximity to the ritual, Rabbi Arush's followers removed them from the grave marker chamber.

"The Chief Rabbis of Jerusalem need to wake up and together with the Chief Rabbis (of Israel) stop this disgrace," he urged. "The Christians say that Jesus was the inheritor of King David, and when the government of Israel gives them a permit to hold ritual ceremonies, it gives approval to their false claim.""

The ink is barely dry on our post from yesterday, A State for Jews or a Jewish State, where we observed the hypocrisy of demanding to be recognized as a Jewish State while acting like anything but a Jewish State. Maybe our post jolted the Prime Minister, because he just made a declaration that he'll initiate legislation that defines Israel as a Jewish State.

Many of us are King David's descendants.....

Not only was King David Hashem's anointed King of Israel, he is the great grandfather of Moshiach, may he come soon, amen. King David is the author of the Book of Psalms, the greatest bestseller of history. According to Kabbala, as King of Israel, his soul had sparks of all of Israel. That is why everyone of identifies with Psalms. King David is buried on Mount Zion. 

How can you be a Zionist if you give away Zion, and to those who engineered and supported the persecution and destruction of our people for the last 1200 years?

Hashem's Jerusalem and the holy gravesite of His anointed son David are not for sale. Think again, Mr. Prime Minister.

Translated Letter by renowned  Rabbinic Leaders regarding transfer of Kever Dovid Hamelech, King David's Tomb to the Vatican. 

We are shocked by the bitter rumor that despite the calls, the protests and the warnings from the end of the month of Iyar in the year 5752 ( תשנ"ב), Har Zion (Mount Zion) may turn into a fortification of missionary Christian institutions and a site of tourism and entertainment, involving massive desecration of the Jewish Sabbath which will negate the unique Holy character of Mount Zion and its surroundings.  Furthermore, this can cause serious difficulties for the Torah and educational institutions in the area and will be a upsetting element and  spiritual, educational and environmental disturbance  to the population of the Jewish Quarter for whom such institutions are an anathema. Therefore we direct a most urgent appeal to any who are able to delay and prevent implementation of this plan, and particularly to the representatives of the population loyal to the Torah and to its Commandment, to make every effort to annul this initiative using all means possible, and to thereby preserve the sanctity of Mount Zion,  May it be reconstructed and founded on a basis of Torah and fear of Hashem, and to allow the Holy institutions at the site to expand and grow strong as is the will of Hashem Blessed be He.  And all those who take action in this holy matter, will be blessed "by Hashem who dwells at Mount Zion" (Isaiah 8) and may the following writings become true for us: "And in Mount Zion there will be deliverance" (Joel 3) "Because Hashem comforted Zion and all its ruins" - Isaiah 51).

Netanyahu 'Asked Rabbi to Allow Giving David's Tomb to Vatican'

An MK Says Netanyahu has contacted the Chief Sephardic Rabbi, asked for halakhic permission to make the move.

A Knesset Member said Thursday that Chief Sephardic Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef told him that the Prime Minister's bureau contacted him and asked to grant halakhic permission for Israel to hand over the Tomb of David to the Vatican.

The startling news was revealed by the Knesset Member during a tour of the Tomb of David by four MKs – Yoni Chetboun of the Jewish Home, who initiated the tour, Moshe Feiglin (Likud-Beytenu), Nissim Ze'ev (Shas), and Meir Porush (United Torah Judaism – UTJ).

The MKs were unanimous in declaring that they intend to do everything within their power to forestall any attempt to hand over the Tomb to the Vatican. There are also reports that not just the Tomb, but the entire Mount Zion compound is up for transfer. The MKs made clear that the zone is under Israeli sovereignty and will remain so.

There have been reports, recently, of a secret negotiation channel between the Vatican and the Israeli government, regarding the Tomb – and especially its second floor, which the Vatican calls the "Room of the Last Supper" – and the Mount Zion compound.

Officially, this report was denied by the government, with Deputy Minister Ze'ev Elkin taking to the Knesset podium to state that it was untrue.

However, the government has decided to place the exclusive authority regarding the holy sites in the hands of the prime minister – fueling speculation that a secret deal is indeed in the works.

The Vatican's attempts to gain a sovereign foothold on Mount Zion have been going on for year, but thus far unsuccessfully.

The visit to Israel by Pope Francis is less than a month away. This is a factor in the timing of the MKs' tour of the compound. A representative of the Religions Ministry's Department of Holy Sites was also present.

The MKs promised to pass a law making the Tomb of David an official holy site.

"For many years, the Vatican has been investing large sums in purchasing assets in Jerusalem, with the purpose of blurring the city's Jewish character," said Chetboun. "This trend must be blocked, and the Basic Law on Jerusalem, which forbids handing over sovereignty on parts of the city to foreign entities, must be enforced. Today's tour is only the beginning of the struggle, and we will bring more MKs here. The Tomb of David is a cornerstone of the city's Jewish history, we must safeguard it."

MK Feiglin said after the tour, "The attempts to transfer sovereignty over the Tomb of David to the Vatican are a direct continuation of the transfer of sovereignty in the Temple Mount to the Jordanians. The government of Israel is buying a false calm at the price of forfeiting our most sacred sites, under cover of darkness and against the law."

Is there a secret deal between the Vatican and Israel to transfer control over Dovid Hamelech's kever to the Catholic church? An investigative report in Makor Rishon cites La Stampa Vatican Insider journalist Andrea Tornielli as saying that the deal has been nearly completed, and that Deputy Foreign Minister Ze'ev Elkin is in charge of the negotiations with the Vatican, but Israel denies any such deal.

Arutz Sheva [1] reports that the agreement allegedly contains two elements. The first is Israel's forgoing the levying of property tax and other taxes for all "churches, holy sites, prayer houses and cemeteries." The second is the transfer of the "Last Supper room" on the floor above the kever to the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land (Custodia Terræ Sanctæ).

Rabbi Yaakov Sevilia, an activist for Kever Dovid, told Arutz Sheva Sunday that there is also a deal between Christians and Muslims, according to which the Muslims will retain control over the Har Habayis whereas Har Tzion will become Christian property. He cited journalist Gulio Meotti, who contributes regularly to Arutz Sheva, as the source for this knowledge.

                          Pope  Francis' visit in the "holy land" will be a kind of final solution for the Jewish sovereignity over Jerusalem.

                          After visiting Amman, the Pope will be received by "the President of the State of Palestine" (words taken from the Vatican official note).

                         Then the Pope will be received in the "Phoenix Center of the Dhaisheh refugee camp". He will endorse the "inalienabile right" of millions of descendants of Palestinian Arab refugees to repossess the homes and villages that their grandparents and great-grandparents had lost in 1948, an act which would dismember the modern state of Israel.

                        The Vatican always presented the 1948 war as the source of an "injustice" committed by Israel when it "pushed away" the Palestinian Arabs.
                        Pope Francis will talk with the people in charge of the Ibdaa camp, whose main goal today is to educate Palestinian Arabs about the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe).
Does the Pope know that Dehaisheh has also been a notable breeding ground of suicide bombers? Will the Pope see the graffiti and poster glorifying the Arab terrorists who dismembered Jewish babies and mothers?

                        Pope Francis will join the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem "in the building of the Great Council on the Esplanade of the Mosques". It will be an implicit recognition of Muslim hegemony over the Temple Mount, Judaism's most sacred site in the world. The Pope's visit is taken to mean that Islam and Christianity superseded the Jewish religion and have the right to "inherit" its holy places.

When the pontiff John Paul II ascended to the Temple Mount in 2000, he wasn't welcomed by any Israeli official, but by representatives of the Palestinian Authority, and the holy complex was bedecked in Arab flags. A few months later, the Intifada broke out leaving 1,600 dead and maimed Jews.

Does Pope Francis know that Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, who will join the Pope, last year declared that "the Hour of Resurrection will not come until you fight the Jews"?

Does Pope Francis know that Jerusalem's Mufti at funeral ceremonies for terrorists promoted terror against Israel, saying that the terrorists' souls "tell us to follow in their path"?

Does Pope Francis know that this Sheikh denied the existence of the Jewish Temples?
Francis will also celebrate a mass "in the room of the Cenacle in Jerusalem". Are Jews aware of the immense symbolism of this event?

          The Cenacle lies on Mount Zion, where David and Solomon, Jewish kings of Judea, are considered by some researchers, to also be buried. The Pope's mass will be the culmination of a long campaign by the Catholic Church to regain religious stewardship over the place where Jesus is supposed to have broken bread and drunk wine with his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion.

           The Pope will also visit Yad Vashem memorial. It is not a gesture of empathy for the Jewish people, but of perfidy, because the Holocaust has become for the Church the counterweight to the recognition of the Jewish condition in politics and history, the recognition of Jews as a people, along with Israel and Zionism.

           The Pope will have a tepid moment of prayer at the Wailing Wall and will spend a few hours mourning for the Holocaust's Jews. But for the rest of the time, the Pope will be there for the Muslims, in order to recognize their genocidal "right of return" and their apocalyptic right to get control over Jewish holy sites.

           Why don't rabbis and the ordinary Israelis organize moments of protest against the Pope's Islamic-friendly visit?

David's Tomb holds Catholic Mass Services, Vatican Prayer Session with Abbas and Peres, Shimon Peres legacy. We learn from King David that Going In Peace means the opposite.

Many have been extremely worried about the Pope's most recent visit to Israel  and rightfully so.  Rav Simcha Hakohen Kook has been sending alarm bells.  Read Rav Kook's letter co signed with Rav Shteinman and Rav Kanievsky regarding transfer of Kever Dovid Hamelech, King David's Tomb to the Vatican. A letter had been written 22 years prior signed by Rav Eliashiv zt"l and Rav Auerbach zt"l and signed again now by Rav Kook, Rav Shteinman and Rav Kanievsky. 

It was hard to figure out the Pope's intent during his recent visit to the Middle East.  Upfront his vision is very romantic.  Camelot.   He  shows equivalent empathy for both the Palestinians and the Jews.  He prayed at the separation wall in empathy and prayer with the Palestinians who are "suffering under Jewish domination" unable to have freedom to commit terror attacks against Israeli civilians and prays as well for the Jewish victims of terror". He didn't seem to be too concerned with the Boko Harem kidnapping of Christian girls.  He calls for a joint prayer that is apolitical. He wishes to unite all faiths under One God in their prayer for Peace.  

'Prayer is all-powerful. Let us use it to bring peace to the Middle East and peace to the world,' tweets pope.   

That is a beautiful!    Prayer for peace is a good thing.  Who can argue? 

However, the pope does not acknowledge Israel's Sovereignty over the Promised Land nor is he bothered with the facts or address the details.  The pope did acknowledge a State of Palestine. That was a political statement in spite of his assurances that this prayer session is apolitical.

President Shimon Peres appealed for peace Sunday afternoon, in a garden of the Vatican City and apparently has faith in the Pope's prayers to bring peace.  

Peres said the Bible "commands us to walk the path of peace. It demands of us to toil for its realization." He continued, quoting from the Bible: "Whoever loves life and desires to see good days, let him turn from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it." This, he said, "is a command to pursue peace. 

My comments:
We all want to pursue peace.  Peres is mistaken in how he pursues peace.

Maybe we can get some clarity of the difference of going in peace and going toward's peace.  Surely this discussion is very appropriate within the context discussing King David and the pursuit of Peace. 


It is pretty clear to Israel that going in peace with the Pope's vision of peace, with a Palestinian state, is going towards death.  Because a State of Palestine is not a State in Peace with Israel but rather a State at War with Israel. If we wish to pursue peace we need to stand strong in defending Israel's Sovereignty over the entire Land of based on G-d's Covenant with our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!!!

It doesn't end with Settler home demolition. It ends with an International libel of Jews and portrayal of the settlers as terrorists, violent criminals and anarchists who defy law and order.  

Surely, the founding fathers of America would be calling these immoral acts of property destruction "Intolerable Acts!" As you know from American History they formed armed militias.   Of course I am not suggesting anything, but alleged graffitti and tire slashing by alleged Jewish Settler Youth, is minor in comparison. Please note as well that  we have yet to see evidence and it has yet to be confirmed that indeed the perpetrators are Jewish settler youth since there has been no fair trial and conviction,  . 

 
 I suppose the Founding Fathers of America in their day must have also been called not such nice names....

Rabbanim, what does the Torah and Halacha say about this?  Why are you so silent?  Why hold Tehillim Rallies after the fact with the mantra "we share in their pain".  How can this be dismissed as "politics"? If you can mobilize hundreds of thousands of Jews to protest the drafting of  Chareidi Youth to defend the country, surely you can do equally as well to take a stand FOR Eretz Yisroel.  Is this not Torah to take a stand that Yehuda and the Shomron is our ancient Jewish Homeland???? Har Habayit, the Kotel, Har Zion and Kever Dovid Hamelech, Har Hazeisim, Hebron and Maarat Hamchpela, Kever Rachel Imeinu and Kever Yosef are all in areas liberated in 1967.  If these Hills in Judea and Samaria not ours then how can we claim all the Mekomos Hakedoshim?   The Lubavicher Rebbe said that  Protest falls squarely on the shoulders of the Rabbis! http://shemittahrediscovered.blogspot.com/2012/03/lubavitcher-rebbe-protest-falls.html

The Tragedy in Eretz Yisroel! Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz speaks Sorting it out Ourselves; Explaining it to Our Children

Dear Friends and Activists, 

Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz has an amazing series on Project Yes teaching Personal Safety for Children. (Please check out his links 5-minute child safety videos, Child Safety Video #1, Child Safety Video #2, and Child Safety Video #3)

He apparently spoke tonight on the topic  "The Tragedy in Eretz Yisroel – Sorting it Out Ourselves; Explaining it to Our Children."  


It upsets me that there seems to be total resignation that what happened comes from Hashem and that all is for the good and we are incapable of understanding why Hashem is sending us such tragedies.  Isn't it also true that if we go in happenstance (Kerry)  Hashem sends us curses?.....   

Rabbi Horowitz asked for questions.  So I asked him some rather down to earth questions....  I also had some answers that I thought would help....

How after 44 or so, failed kidnapping attempts and finally a "successful" attempt, 3 brutally kidnapped and murdered, can we reassure our children with confidence that there won't be any more kidnappings and murders.

When Yesorim, afflictions come, we need to ask ourselves what message is Hashem sending us.  Yefashfesh Adam Bemaasav....Let us examine our deeds.

Project Yes has been proactive with Summer Safety messages to prevent tragedies. If known pedophiles were allowed freedom to roam the streets and access to classrooms and camps, all your education would be compromised and made so much harder!  

I believe this tragedy of kidnapped teens in Israel is first and foremost a wakeup call that we need to confront evil, specifically Hamas and Fatah..  There is a danger of just focusing on Emunah and Betachon and accepting that what Hashem does is ultimately for good when one does not confront the evil itself. 

Will we then blame G-d or recognize that we perhaps were at fault?   Adults know this and will have a hard time explaining the failure to act with resolve and strength to protect society and kids will sense it as well.

I hear you say. there is nothing I personally can do, "It's not my place but the Government of Israel to act. All I can do is strengthen my Emunah and Betachon." This reminds me of a true story that happened in my community.  A Rebbe's young son hurt his finger. The boy's mother took him to the doctor who bandaged the wound and told the mother to keep the bandage on and to come back in a week.  The mother tried to comply with the doctor's orders.  The kid was in a lot of pain and the doctor insisted it would heal and be fine.  On Shabbos the pain was too great and they took the kid to a neighbor who was a PA.  The PA took off the bandage and saw that the problem was that the bandage was on too tight cutting off circulation. Baruch Hashem the finger was saved.

Sometimes, even a lay person needs common sense. 

How can we explain to kids what could be done differently so that this doesn't happen again.  

If you suggest teach them never to hitchhike, is that a solution? Stopping to hitchhike in Judea and Samaria where buses don't run frequently and are often not affordable, will significantly disrupt how people live their lives.  Hitchhiking is a common practice and an accepted way to commute within a close knit trusting community.  Blaming the hitchhikers puts blame on the victims.  It's like telling young children who were abused that their skirt was too short and if they dress with longer skirts this wouldn't happen.  Sure precautions, more buses and phone apps should be taken but the emphasis must be on stopping the perpetrators, the murderers and kidnappers. 

Emunah and Bitachon


Let us have Emunah and Bitachon that Hashem Promised the Land to Am Yisroel and not the Palestinians and that in the Torah, only those who accept Jewish Sovereignty and 7 Noahide Laws are welcome as Ger Toshav entitled with full human rights as specified in the Torah (VeChai Imach)
לה וְכִי-יָמוּךְ אָחִיךָ, וּמָטָה יָדוֹ עִמָּךְ--וְהֶחֱזַקְתָּ בּוֹ, גֵּר וְתוֹשָׁב וָחַי עִמָּךְ.35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and his means fail with thee; then thou shalt uphold him: as a stranger and a settler shall he live with thee.
It seems to me that we must take care of the Ger Toshav, a non Jew in Israel, by making sure that they have a livelihood and that they don't get too poor. Human rights like medical benefits and education seems to be in order. However, if they don't accept Jewish Sovereignty and the Noahide laws, this does not apply.  Those that celebrated the kidnappings and murder do not fall into the category of Ger Toshav.  For these individuals, there are 22 neighboring Arab countries  with 800 times the land mass of Israel where Arabs can find their relatives and their respective communities and tribal affiliation.http://www.standwithus.com/booklets/25Answers/ page 2 

Frankly, it seems pretty clear that there is no strong deterrence for terrorist and in fact the opposite.  Terrorists have it pretty good in Israel: They are rewarded with money, education, power, honor and even eternal blessings.  Check out these links.

The world says that Jews are "occupying their land". They have stolen our Identity and we do not protest.

Jews have yet to unite and assert our entitlement to Eretz Yisroel based on Torah.

I am a bit cynical of those who memorialize the victims when they empower evil to begin with. I didn't appreciate him lecturing about Torah or offering to talk to Obama ,
 

Therefore, let us trying a different approach! Even if you don't actually live in Eretz Yisroel, the Land is also your inheritance. 


Each and every person can do their little part to convince themselves, their Rav,  the government of Israel to Annex Judea and Samaria  Accept Levy Report.

  • Ask your Rav to speak out for our entitlement of Judea and Samaria.  Ask Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah, Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation,  Agudath Yisroel of America, Young Israel, Chabad, OU, RCA etc to say Judea and Samaria is part of Biblical delineated boundaries. 
  • Speak out for our entitlement of Har Habayit, Hebron, Kever Yosef, Kever Rochel, Kever Dovid Hamelech etc. all of our Holy Sites situated in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria in areas conquered in 1967 after our enemies attacked us from all sides. 
  • Encourage Building in Judea and Samaria instead of the opposite slowdown of building in Judea and Samaria.  
  • Collective Punishment on PA and Fatah when the situation calls for it  
  • Throw out Arab Knesset MK's who don't recognize Israel's rights to Judea and Samaria. Deny voting rights to those who don't accept Israel's Sovereignty over the entire Israel. 
  • Stop libeling, arresting, provoking, condemning and vilifying settler youth of Judea and Samaria. They have witnessed expulsions, homes cruelly demolished, their Yeshiva taken over and friends kidnapped and murdered.
  • Hitchiking:  There are those who believe that it's a way of life in Judea and Samaria that has many pluses.  (Of course we need to take proper precautions. Robin)
  • Try to visit Israel and work towards Aliya.  Just look at the US National Debt and your confidence in the dollar will plummet.

                          Pope  Francis' visit in the "holy land" will be a kind of final solution for the Jewish sovereignity over Jerusalem.

                          After visiting Amman, the Pope will be received by "the President of the State of Palestine" (words taken from the Vatican official note).

                         Then the Pope will be received in the "Phoenix Center of the Dhaisheh refugee camp". He will endorse the "inalienabile right" of millions of descendants of Palestinian Arab refugees to repossess the homes and villages that their grandparents and great-grandparents had lost in 1948, an act which would dismember the modern state of Israel.

                        The Vatican always presented the 1948 war as the source of an "injustice" committed by Israel when it "pushed away" the Palestinian Arabs.
                        Pope Francis will talk with the people in charge of the Ibdaa camp, whose main goal today is to educate Palestinian Arabs about the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe).
Does the Pope know that Dehaisheh has also been a notable breeding ground of suicide bombers? Will the Pope see the graffiti and poster glorifying the Arab terrorists who dismembered Jewish babies and mothers?

                        Pope Francis will join the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem "in the building of the Great Council on the Esplanade of the Mosques". It will be an implicit recognition of Muslim hegemony over the Temple Mount, Judaism's most sacred site in the world. The Pope's visit is taken to mean that Islam and Christianity superseded the Jewish religion and have the right to "inherit" its holy places.

When the pontiff John Paul II ascended to the Temple Mount in 2000, he wasn't welcomed by any Israeli official, but by representatives of the Palestinian Authority, and the holy complex was bedecked in Arab flags. A few months later, the Intifada broke out leaving 1,600 dead and maimed Jews.

Does Pope Francis know that Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, who will join the Pope, last year declared that "the Hour of Resurrection will not come until you fight the Jews"?

Does Pope Francis know that Jerusalem's Mufti at funeral ceremonies for terrorists promoted terror against Israel, saying that the terrorists' souls "tell us to follow in their path"?

Does Pope Francis know that this Sheikh denied the existence of the Jewish Temples?
Francis will also celebrate a mass "in the room of the Cenacle in Jerusalem". Are Jews aware of the immense symbolism of this event?

          The Cenacle lies on Mount Zion, where David and Solomon, Jewish kings of Judea, are considered by some researchers, to also be buried. The Pope's mass will be the culmination of a long campaign by the Catholic Church to regain religious stewardship over the place where Jesus is supposed to have broken bread and drunk wine with his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion.

           The Pope will also visit Yad Vashem memorial. It is not a gesture of empathy for the Jewish people, but of perfidy, because the Holocaust has become for the Church the counterweight to the recognition of the Jewish condition in politics and history, the recognition of Jews as a people, along with Israel and Zionism.

           The Pope will have a tepid moment of prayer at the Wailing Wall and will spend a few hours mourning for the Holocaust's Jews. But for the rest of the time, the Pope will be there for the Muslims, in order to recognize their genocidal "right of return" and their apocalyptic right to get control over Jewish holy sites.

           Why don't rabbis and the ordinary Israelis organize moments of protest against the Pope's Islamic-friendly visit?

Support the residents of the Shomron! Letter and appeal from Dovid HaIvri Executive Director of Shomron Liason Office Ketiva VeChatima Tova!

Having visited the Shomron, I know that the people there are at times holding on to our Land with their fingertips.  (like in Chavat Gilad where they do not receive electricity and water from the Government and Police shot with rubber bullets and expelled a family and  Migron where families were expelled quite brutally due to International Pressures under the orders of Barak).  Dovid Ha'Iivri, Executive Director of the Shomron Liason Office only focus's on growth and being positive which is the way it should be. 

The Shomron is absolutely beautiful and is the high ground protecting areas like Tel Aviv.  Many communities are surrounded by hostile Arabs like Itamar who have experienced their share of Terror attacks as recently as the heinous terror attack on the Fogel Family and the attack on the Breslov Chasidim visiting Kever Yosef.  .  

Those families living in the Shomron are proud and stubborn Jews who live the Torah as they believe it.  They live the promise that Eretz Yisroel is G-d given Land given to the Jews and that is why we must give them our support in whatever capacity we can.  Of course visiting the Shomron is the best way to see first hand the Mesiras Nefesh these people have and show our debt to them for protecting Eretz Yisroel and our ability to fly into Ben Gurion airport without fear of being shot at from a nearby hilltop.  In spite of all those that try to stop the growth in the Shomron and that includes the United Nations,  they have not succeeded Baruch Hashem!  This is miraculous and shows Hashem's love and protection to those who believe in Him and His Torah. While the international community is debating the future of Israel's heartland, Judea and Samaria, and those that hate Israel are plotting to take claim to our God given land. we, the communities of the Shomron (Hills of Ezekiel 36) are gearing up for Rosh Hashana and the period of Jewish holidays over the next three weeks. 

Last night hundered of leaders of the Shomron communities gathered at "Yakir" to lift a glass of blessings for the Jewish New Year. Samaria Regional Council Governor, Gershon Mesika, informed the group of leaders of the great progress in the Shomron over this past year. We have become the fastest growing region in the country. The Jewish population in the Shomron is growing at the rate of 10% per year. Building of new classrooms and kindergartens are being constructed in all of our towns. We have held over 300 informational tours for elected world wide and Israel officials and media personalities.

With all of these developments and much more, we can not forget that with the Jewish Holidays upon us, there are families in the Shomron who are lacking the means to feed their families. We know that the strength and stability of the families of the Shomron are the backbone of our future here in Biblical Samaria. Those families with 8, 9 and 10 children are bringing up the next generation that will continue to
inherit and possess this prophetic land for the God and people of Israel. 

The Shomron Regional Council has established a network for distributing fo packages to needy families for the holidays and throughout the year. The needy families are identified by the municipal social services department and the help is delivered in a discredit way so as not to embarrass the recipient families. The entire operation costs are covered by the Shomron Regional Council who's employees manage the campaign ether during their work load or after hours as volunteers and all office work and expenses are covered by the municipality. 

For the upcoming holidays we will be assisting 600 needy families with food packages and grants of an average $200 - $300 per family. 

I would like to ask your help with a donation that will go directly towards the needs of these families in the Shomron for the holidays.
