Klein issued the following urgent statement: ZOA urges President Obama and UN Ambassador Samantha Power to veto the (now postponed) anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, anti-peace, racist resolution that the UN Security Council (UNSC) had initially planned to vote on today.   The proposed resolution would make all of the Jewish communities in Judea/Samaria and eastern Jerusalem in the lawful, millennia-old Jewish homeland suddenly "have no legal validity" and "a flagrant violation" of international law; would require Israel to halt construction in these areas; makes false statements about international law; falsely claims that these Jewish communities are a "major obstacle"; calls on all nations to discriminate against Jewish communities in Judea/Samaria and eastern Jerusalem; and would require Israel to return to indefensible 1949 Armistice lines (misleadingly called "1967 borders").  ZOA praises President-elect Donald Trump for condemning the anti-Israel UNSC resolution, and the President-elect's nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman for working relentlessly to try to stop this anti-Israel resolution.   For the following reasons, the proposed resolution must be vetoed – and Congress and President-elect Trump should declare that they will end all funding to the UN and Palestinian Authority ("PA") if the resolution comes to a vote and passes:   The proposed resolution drastically changes U.S. policy and harms the peaceful transition to the new U.S. administration: Failing to veto the proposed resolution would dramatically change and destabilize U.S. and international law and policy, and thus would violate President Obama's pledge to assure a peaceful transition to the incoming Trump administration.      As Israel's U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon accurately said, the proposed UNSC resolution "will do nothing to promote a diplomatic process, and will only reward the Palestinian policy of incitement and terror." As liberal Democrat Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz noted when a similar resolution was proposed in 2011:  "the real reason the U.S. should veto this ill-conceived resolution is that it is inconsistent with U.S. policy, which has long advocated a negotiated resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli dispute."  ("The U.N. Gangs Up On Israel – Again," by Alan Dershowitz, Wall Street J'nal, Jan. 26, 2011.)  The UNSC resolution harms the cause of peace and direct negotiations: This one-sided anti-Israel resolution damages the cause of peace.  The resolution was prepared by the Palestinian Authority to avoid entering into direct peace negotiations with Israel.  The resolution enables the PA/PLO to continue its efforts to destroy the Jewish State, instead of sitting down to negotiate real peace.      As Israel's U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon accurately said, the proposed UNSC resolution "will do nothing to promote a diplomatic process, and will only reward the Palestinian policy of incitement and terror." Liberal Democrat Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz explained:  "The only way forward for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process is bilateral negotiations between the two parties. . . . [A UN] resolution undermine[s] such efforts by encouraging the Palestinians to believe that direct negotiations — and the mutual sacrifices they would entail — are unnecessary. . . . It would also make it more difficult, if not impossible, for the Palestinian Authority to accept anything less than that already given them by the UN — which would in turn guarantee the failure of any realistic negotiations."  ("Dershowitz: Obama, Don't Destroy the Peace Process by Turning It Over to the UN," Algemeiner, Nov. 1, 2016.) Similarly AIPAC explains:  "Anti-Israel [UN Security Council] resolutions . . . will likely divide the parties rather than bringing them together. Peace between Israelis and Palestinians will only be durable if both parties negotiate in good faith and implement a mutually agreed-upon solution.  The United States must veto any one-sided resolutions and press the Palestinians to return to direct, bilateral negotiations with Israel."   (AIPAC Legislative Agenda: Support Direct Negotiations.) The Resolution Violates the Oslo Accords:  The Oslo accords, signed by the PLO/Palestinian Authority require the PA to engage in direct negotiations with Israel instead of turning to the UN.  (See "Obama Must Veto Anti-Israel UN Resolution On "Settlements," ZOA, April 11, 2016.)   In addition, the Oslo accords authorize Israeli building in the zones (e.g., "Area C") under Israeli control in Judea/Samaria.    The resolution turns international law upside down: The Jewish communities in eastern Jerusalem and Judea/Samaria are legal under longstanding binding international law and agreements, and prior carefully-crafted UN Resolutions (242 and 338).   Suddenly declaring that the Israeli and Jewish presence in these areas is has "no legal validity" and is "a flagrant violation" of international law violates over a century of jurisprudence.  (See "Obama Must Veto Anti-Israel UN Resolution On "Settlements," ZOA, April 11, 2016.)    The 1920 San Remo Conference that drafted the League of Nations Charter designated Judea/Samaria for Jewish settlement.   This determination was enshrined as a sacred trust for the Jewish people in the British Mandate for Palestine, and was later reaffirmed by Article 80 of the UN Charter.   The binding international law that Judea/Samaria is an area designed for Jewish settlement has never been superseded by an internationally binding agreement.  The 1949 Armistice agreements (after Jordan invaded Israel and illegally occupied Judea/Samaria and eastern Jerusalem from 1948-1967), specifically stated that the 1949 Armistice lines were "without prejudice" and were not international boundaries.  When Israel recaptured Judea/Samaria and eastern Jerusalem in 1967, the original legal status of land designated for Jewish settlement was restored. U.N. Resolution 242 does not require Israel to return all territories that Israel recaptured during the defensive 1967 war.  Moreover, Res. 242 conditioned even a partial return of captured territories on "termination of all claims of belligerency" and "acknowledgment of the sovereignty . . . of every state in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force."    Resolution 242 gives non-state Palestinian Arabs no claims or rights.  Moreover, the Palestinian Authority, Hamas (which would win an election in the PA if it were held today), Hezbollah, etc. have never met UN Res. 242's conditions of terminating all claims of belligerency towards Israel, and recognition of and secure borders for Israel.  Instead, these groups have made it clear that their goal is Israel's destruction. The UNSC resolution falsifies existing international law: In Orwellian fashion, the resolution portrays its drastic changes in international law – which would make legal Jewish communities "illegal" – as merely "reaffirming" existing international law.   (Of course, if existing international law were really what the proposed PA/PLO resolution says it is, the PA/PLO would not need the resolution.)    The UNSC resolution is racist, anti-Semitic and inhumane and promotes anti-Semitic BDS, in conflict with US and State anti-BDS laws. The resolution would require uprooting 700,000 Jews from their homes, schools, farms, businesses and synagogues, which would anti-Semitic and a humanitarian disaster.  The 10,000 Jews who were uprooted from their homes in Gaza 11 years ago are still homeless.    The resolution also calls on all nations, in all their dealings, to "distinguish" between Israel and Judea/Samaria/eastern Jerusalem.   This is essentially a cleverly worded call for anti-Semitic boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Jewish businesses, academics and cultural institutions, and conflicts with anti-BDS provisions in the U.S. federal trade law and State anti-BDS laws. The proposed resolution would require Israel to return to the indefensible 1949 Armistice lines.  The 1949 Armistice agreements specifically stated that these lines that have no international legal force.   The lines would make Israel only 9 miles wide and would subject Israel's heartland to constant rocket attack from its longest border.  The lines would also divide the united city of Jerusalem in two. When this previously occurred (1948-1967) after Jordan invaded Israel and captured Israel's old city, Jordanian Arab snipers used the hills of eastern Jerusalem to shoot at Jewish civilians going to and from work and Jewish children going to and from school every day in western Jerusalem.   Abba Eban aptly called these indefensible 1949 lines "Auschwitz borders."    The Jewish People Have The Millenia-Long Right To Live In Judea/Samaria and Eastern Jerusalem: Indeed, the Hanukah events that the White House celebrated just a few days ago took place in Judea/Samaria and Eastern Jerusalem.  (See "Obama's Hanukkah Speech Should Remind Him-Veto UN Resolutions Declaring Israel 'Illegal Occupier,'" ZOA, Dec. 16, 2016.)   The UNSC resolution falsely portrays Jewish communities as a "major obstacle" to peace when the real obstacle to peace is the Palestinian Authority's incitement of terror against Jews and refusal to engage in direct negotiations: Jewish communities only comprise a small portion (approximately 2%) of Judea/Samaria.  The Jewish communities do not interfere with a possible future "Palestinian-Arab state.  Approximately 99% of Palestinian Arabs in Judea/Samaria live in the areas of Judea/Samaria that are under the control of the Palestinian Authority, and have their own schools, government, media, etc.     The real obstacles to peace are that the Palestinian Authority continues to teach hatred and encourage violence and knife intifadas against innocent Jews – the PA even pays millions of dollars to terrorists who murder Jews; and that the PA refuses to sit down with Israel for real, direct negotiations.   These real obstacles will grow even worse if the proposed UNSC resolution is voted upon and passes.

This is for all the kids born in the 70's and after who do not
remember, and didn't have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear.  Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of the Century."

Barbara Walters writes:  Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.   The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot.  The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison, the "Hanoi Hilton."

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "peace activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received.

He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away.  During the subsequent beating, he fell forward onto the camp commandant 's feet, which sent that officer berserk.  In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton.

From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the " Hanoi Hilton"... the first three of which his family only knew he was "missing in action."  His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation" visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived.  Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand.  When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you
grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?"

Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper.  She took them all without missing a beat... At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper...

Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day.  I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam, and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.  I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi.  My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the

jungle near the Cambodian border.  At one time, I weighed only  about 90 lbs.  (My normal weight is 170 lbs.)

We were Jane Fonda's"war criminals".  When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her.  I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received... and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her
as "humane and lenient."  Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released.  I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV.  She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100 Years of Great Women."  Lest we forget..."100 Years of Great Women" should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots.  There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them.

This discrimination against Judea and Samaria clealy suppressed Major Jewish Organizations like Agudah, OU, YI etc from making statements regarding Israels entitlement to her Biblical Homeland.   They had good reason to fear being denied tax exempt status even if declarations against the 2 State Solution is consistent with Torah, a religious, theological truth and is not a political viewpoint. 

We are looking forward to a new Era where the Bible is revered rather than distorted and redefined, reinvented according to the so called Democratic pinciples of a G-dless leadership.

The message you have just received was delivered by Mike Huckabee and includes a message from Huck PAC, his political action committee.  Robin, Democrats who are blaming FBI Director James Comey's reopening of the investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails for her loss (when they aren't blaming Russia, WikiLeaks, fake news or the full moon) demanded that the search warrant for Anthony Weiner's laptop and other documents be released. This week, a federal judge did just that. They show that FBI investigators noted that as part of a "criminal investigation" of Clinton, they discovered "27 email chains containing classified information" between Hillary and Huma Abedin. They needed to find out what Huma's husband's laptop contained because it "was never authorized for the storage or transmission of classified or national defense information," and they needed "to determine if classified information was accessed by unauthorized users or transferred to any unauthorized systems." One attorney who examined the papers said this was "completely consistent" with what the FBI would want to do in a case like this." But Clinton's attorney David Kendall railed that the search wasn't warranted because "the FBI put forward the same evidence the Bureau concluded in July was not sufficient to bring a case." I suppose if you think it's no big deal that Hillary and Huma exchanged "27 email chains containing classified information," and that they might be floating around on yet another unsecured computer that regularly surfed sleazy websites, then yeah: why even bother to chase that down? Blaming the FBI is a typical Clintonian "shoot the messenger" tactic. They would have us believe that voters didn't distrust Hillary because we all knew she sent classified information over an unsecured server and was let off scot-free in a sweetheart deal. No, her bad publicity was the fault of the investigators who had to look into the huge security mess she created. These FBI investigators saw firsthand the astounding disregard for national security that Hillary Clinton exhibited as Secretary of State. If they were afraid she'd also allowed classified information to be transferred to the laptop of a known pervert, that was hardly an unjustified overreaction. If they automatically assumed the worst, it was because she gave them no other choice. And in case you missed these:   Liberal Boycotts By Mike Huckabee All it took was a rumor that singer Andrea Bocelli might perform at the Trump Inaugural, and liberals rushed to the battlements (okay, to social media; that's as close as they get to battle) to express "OUTRAGE!" ™ and threaten boycotts. And Bocelli wasn't even booked to do it. Seriously, liberals, is this kind of childish nonsense what we're going to endure from you for the next four (and the way you're behaving, almost certainly eight) years? You're going to scream and hold your breath and threaten boycotts of everyone who performs in Washington, DC, at presidential galas, or designs a dress for the First Lady, or acts in any way civil to the leader of the nation? Do you realize how tiresome and annoying you're going to become (frankly, you're already there, but do you realize how much worse you're going to get?) Up until this point in history, most Americans have had the maturity, patriotism and basic human decency to put their electoral losses behind them and show respect for whoever holds the office of the President. But that doesn't apply to you, because your feelings are special, and you really, really wanted Hillary to win, and you really, really didn't want Trump to beat her. But he did, fair and square. If you can't accept that and be part of American society that gets on with life and respects the President after every election, then there are planes leaving every half hour to all those countries you vowed to move to if Hillary lost.

Tina's Christmas Memory By Mike Huckabee A few years ago, inspired by my book " A Simple Christmas ," I asked listeners of my radio show to share their favorite family Christmas memories. Today's story shows us that Dr. Seuss was right: Christmas is not something that comes from a store. Christmas means a whole lot more. If you enjoy these stories, please let me know in the comments on my website here. Tina from California wrote to me that she was a struggling single mom for many years. She managed to keep a roof over her daughter and son's heads. But there was no money for the Christmas extravagances many families enjoy. They had to be creative and "make do." Instead of buying cards, they'd call relatives and sing carols to them over the phone. And instead of buying fancy Christmas treats, they'd go into the kitchen and make donuts out of Pillsbury biscuit dough, and sweeten and decorate them with cinnamon and sugar. Tina said that for years, Christmas wasn't a good memory for her. All she remembered about those Christmases was being poor. Then, Tina wrote, "When my son was 20, he said 'Mom, remember when we used to make donuts and sing to everyone for Christmas?' Sulking, I replied, 'Yeah.' He said, 'That is one of my BEST Christmases. We didn't have a lot of money, but we had a lot of love to give.'" Tina wrote, "I have since changed my opinion...(Now), it is one of my best Christmas memories also. My heart grew 3 sizes that day!...Ever since, I make it a point to make a homemade gift for the people in my family. Last year, I made everyone throw quilts. Christmas is more than a day... For his part, Mort Klein exhibited the formidable intellect, rhetorical skills and passion that have made him for the past twenty-three years as ZOA president, the bane of freedom's foes and a true Keeper of the Flame.  The Ambassador noted that the SPLC had demanded that he not accept the Center's award, a demand echoed by a number of Jewish, media and Islamist organizations.  To his great credit, and the delight of the audience, Amb. Dermer spurned those efforts to suppress his speech.  Instead, he delivered a scathing critique of those who malign fellow freedom-fighters like Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Dr. Daniel Pipes and the Center for Security Policy for their informed, fact-based warnings about militant Islam. For his part, Mort Klein exhibited the formidable intellect, rhetorical skills and passion that have made him for the past twenty-three years as ZOA president, the bane of freedom's foes and a true Keeper of the Flame.  In his remarks, Mr. Klein served notice that the Obama administration must not be allowed, on its way out the door, to make one last effort at the United Nations to delegitimate America's most important ally in the Middle East and, arguably worldwide: Israel.  Should that occur, he called for Congress immediately to enact legislation cutting off U.S. funding for the UN and the Palestinian Authority. Center for Security Policy President Frank J.
