The rally has been organized by Rabbi Avi Weiss, Spiritual Leader of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale in the Bronx and founder of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah and Rabbi Bruce Ginsburg, Spiritual Leader of Congregation Sons Of Israel in Woodmere, NY who has served as president of the Long Island Board of Rabbis and as President of the Union for Traditional Judaism.
This rally differs from others in that rabbis from across the religious spectrum will join together for a different type of gathering -- one where people address the politicians rather than politicians addressing the people. They will offer a moral voice that is raised through prayer, reflection, song, and the sounding of the shofar. Among those rabbis already confirmed include:

OBAMA SET TO DEPORT 12 IRAQI CHRISTIAN Iraqi Christians - also known as Chaldeans - have been detained in Otay for about six months as their immigration cases proceeded, activists and family members. The Chaldeans were detained by immigration authorities after they attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border through the San Ysidro Port of Entry without documentation several months ago. It's likely that most of the Iraqis will be deported to such countries as Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, where many United Nations refugee camps are stationed.
If those nations send these Christians back to Iraq they will face almost certain death.
Iraq is home to one of the most ancient Christian communities, evangelized by the Apostle Thomas not long after the time of Jesus. It was home to 1.5 million Christians under Saddam Hussein but after the U.S. invaded in 2003, al-Qaida started bombing churches and kidnapping prominent Christian leaders. The attacks became more fierce after al-Qaida in Iraq morphed into ISIS and the country has been virtually emptied of its Christian population since then.
Estimates now range from 200,000 to 300,000 Christians remaining in the country, mostly in Baghdad and in Kurdish-controlled areas to the northeast.
WILL THE POPE PROTEST ON THEIR BEHALF? The U.S. has large Chaldean Catholic communities in Detroit and San Diego. Chaldean families have held regular demonstrations in support of the 27 detainees, the majority of whom have family who are U.S. citizens, but on Monday they were told by government officials they'd better not comment on the issue. At the same time the Obama administration deporting Christians, it has over the years allowed in hundreds of Muslim migrants from Africa and the Middle East who crossed the Southern border the same way the Chaldeans did.
Obama targets Christian immigration attorney. Obama's Justice Department has also gone after the nation's most successful Chaldean Christian immigration attorney, Robert Dekelaita, 52, of Glenview, Illinois. DeKelaita has helped thousands of Christians escape the jihadist-inspired violence of Iraq, Egypt and Syria going back to 2001. For his efforts, he was indicted last year on charges of immigration fraud. DeKelaita maintains his innocence and is still awaiting trial.
In an interview with WND last month, DeKelaita said Chaldean-Americans are some of the hardest working of all immigrants. Many in Detroit are successful businessmen who employ hundreds in the convenience store and hospitality industries. "These are proud Americans who love this country, just very solid families involved in their communities and churches," he said. (Full Story WND)

VET GROUP LOST NONPROFIT STATUS The Internal Revenue Service revoked the nonprofit status of the veterans benefit organization that hosted and sold tickets to a foreign policy speech by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump aboard a retired U.S. battleship, The Associated Press has learned. The group's endorsement of Trump at the event also could raise legal problems under campaign finance laws.
The group's chairman, Joel Arends of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, said the organization was appealing the IRS decision. He would not provide AP with copies of any tax returns, which would show how much money the group has collected over the years and how it spends its money. By law, such records are supposed to be available to the general public for inspection. "We disagree with the IRS determination letter," Arends told the AP in an interview. He appeared alongside Trump on Tuesday night on the ship. (full article)
LAST NIGHT SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH MCCONNELL CAME UP WITH WHAT HE PROBABLY THINKS IS A BOLD 'PLAN B' FOR THE IRAN VOTE, IT'S ACTUALLY AN ACT OF COWARDICE. McConnell announced that if Democrats continue to filibuster, he will offer a new amendment on the President's deal with Iran. This one will say that the President can't go forward with the sanctions relief to Iran unless or until the Iranian regime releases American prisoners held in Iran AND Iran recognizes Israel as a state.
Firstly it encourages the anti-Semites in this country who believe that the Jewish Lobby controls everything and the only reason to oppose the Iran deal is to protect Israel. Nonsense Ayatollah's lemmings are also screaming "death to America!" Iran doesn't need a ballistic missile program to nuke Israel it is to reach the United States. Iran did not encourage Hezbollah to build a terrorist network throughout South America to attack Israel, it is to attack the United States.
Majority Leader McConnell amendment that American prisoners should be released and Israel recognized as a state before billions of dollars are released to the Iranian regime. Is a giant plate of nothing.

Krauthammer suggests the Senate follow the House strategy: "You want to put them on the record? Introduce an amendment that says what the House bill does; that the treaty was never submitted as required because it doesn't include all of the documents - meaning, the secret IAEA deals, which allow Iran to inspect itself." He then went further, asking why McConnell isn't invoking the nuclear option. "If Harry Reid applied it so he could get 2-3 judicial appointments through the Second Circuit, then why not do it over the most important treaty of our time?"

At Hungary's newly installed razor sharp fence-border with Serbia, despite the best efforts of CNN, the BBC and other media giants to paint the European migrant crisis as a spontaneous humanitarian crisis fueled by Syria's civil war, evidence continues to mount to the contrary. About 1,500 migrants broke through the fence and were rioting, chanting "Allahu Akbar!" while throwing rocks and bottles and even food at police. According to United Nations data, 75 percent of the migrants who have swarmed into Europe this summer have been men, and only 51 percent have been from Syria. While the Jewish State benefits from the robust Jewish demographic tailwind of fertility and immigration, Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, is burdened with a Jewish demographic headwind of emigration, which is eroding the current 66% Jewish majority.
The growing, youthful Jewish emigration from Jerusalem is driven by the scarcity of jobs as well as costly and limited housing. It was triggered - beginning in the 1990s - by Israeli Prime Ministers, who have relegated Jerusalem to a lower national priority, in sharp contrast to preceding Prime Ministers.
Simultaneously with a litany of "O Jerusalem" boasting statements, they have demonstrated "Oy Jerusalem" feeble action, reflecting limited capability to withstand opposition, by US Presidents, to Jewish construction beyond the pre-1967 armistice line. Moreover, succumbing to US pressure has yielded more, and rougher, pressure. Thus, they have constrained the development of Jerusalem's infrastructure of transportation, housing and employment - which constitute a prerequisite for transforming Jewish emigration into robust Jewish immigration - since it requires construction on substantial, state-owned land, available within the largely unpopulated boundaries of reunited Jerusalem, not in the limited parameters of pre-1967 Jerusalem.
The smaller the effective boundary of Jerusalem, the larger is Jewish emigration; the larger the effective boundary, the greater is the potential for Jewish immigration.
Thus, recent Prime Ministers have sacrificed the significant upgrading of Jerusalem's infrastructure of growth on the altar of the supposed peace process with the Palestinian Authority, which seeks to annul Jerusalem's reunification, worships suicide bombers and operates the most effective assembly line for manufacturing terrorists: a K-12 destroy-Israel-education system.
This peace process-driven policy has also led to physical and administrative disengagement from some Arab neighborhoods in reunited Jerusalem, and the construction of walls and fences, separating these neighborhoods from the rest of the city. As a result, parallel to the increasing Jewish emigration from Jerusalem, some 50,000 Arab residents of these neighborhoods - possessing Israeli ID cards - immigrated over the walls and the fences deeper into Jerusalem, lest they lose Israeli social and welfare benefits. Thus, at a time when parity has been reached between Jewish and Arab fertility rates (number of births per woman), this Israeli policy of disengagement has induced Arab immigration into Jerusalem, at a rate twice as high as the rate of Jewish emigration from Jerusalem.
In this regard, contemporary Israeli Prime Ministers have strayed away, dramatically, from their predecessors. For example, in 1950, in defiance of brutal US and global pressure to internationalize Jerusalem (which is still the policy of the US Department of State!), Prime Minister David Ben Gurion proclaimed Jerusalem the capital of the Jewish State, relocated government agencies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, settled a massive number of Olim (Jewish immigrants to Israel) in Jerusalem, upgraded the transportation infrastructure to Jerusalem, and erected new Jewish neighborhoods along Jerusalem's cease fire lines, providing the city land reserves for long term growth. Ben Gurion's actions spoke louder than the current bravado statements about the "indivisible Jerusalem."
In 1967, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol adopted Ben Gurion's statesmanship, fended off severe US and global threats, reunited Jerusalem and established the foundation of satellite Jewish neighborhoods well beyond Jerusalem's "pre-1967 lines."
In 1970-1, Prime Minister Golda Meir resisted heavy pressure, by the White House and the Department of State, refusing to rescind the reunification of Jerusalem and to transfer Jerusalem's Holy Basin to the auspices of the three leading religions (these demands were embraced, in 2010, by former Prime Minister, Olmert). Defiantly, Golda Meir laid the groundwork for additional neighborhoods beyond the "pre-'67 lines": Gilo, Ramot Alon, French Hill and Neve' Ya'akov, significantly expanding Jerusalem's infrastructure of growth.
Prime Ministers Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir sustained the position of Jerusalem at the top of Israel's national priorities, reinforcing - through construction and growth - the historical, national and religious status of reunified Jerusalem as the exclusive, non-negotiable capital of the Jewish State.
In order to dramatically expand Jerusalem's 66% Jewish majority, and retain the graduates of the Hebrew University (Israel's largest university), while improving the quality of life for Jews and Arabs, Israel should embark upon a fast-track, dramatic enhancement of Jerusalem's transportation infrastructure, which would pave the road for a flow of Israeli and international entrepreneurs and investors. For example, the largest Israeli city (2.5 times larger and more populated than Tel Aviv!) needs an airport, located in the ample, unpopulated area in eastern Jerusalem, which would be a most effective engine of growth. The only two freeways to Jerusalem from the coastal plain (#1 and #443 which stretches along the Land of the Maccabees beyond the 1967 lines) must be expanded, and a third one (#45 which was shelved by Prime Minister Sharon) should be constructed, for commercial, safety and national security reasons. The internal Begin Road should evolve into the Jerusalem Loop, which would be a game-changer for commerce and quality of life. A similar surge should apply to the infrastructure for high tech, telecommunications, electricity, water, education and housing.
Will Israeli Prime Ministers embark upon an "O Jerusalem" policy - initiated 3,000 years ago by King David - which would drastically enhance Jerusalem's quality of life and expand its Jewish majority? Or, will they sustain the "Oy Jerusalem" policy, which could doom Jerusalem to a Jewish minority?

The cycle of violence is fed not by injustice or fresh new assaults on sovereignty, but rather pre-exists in the heart of the Muslim world, fueled by their fundamental organizing principle of Islam.
There are no places on earth where a significant population of Muslims are present that does not also live with violence and disruption with regularity. This applies to both Muslim enclaves in Western democracies and to Muslim-dominated nations around the world. Where Islam is, violence soon follows.
It is this "supremacist" aspect of Islam (note: aspect of Islam, not perversion, or interpretation of Islam) that ensures the renewal of violence even after defeat or victory. It is the battle that is the aim, the jihad that cannot rest until the earth has submitted entirely to Islam.
Are all Muslims like this? No, just as all Catholics don't abstain from eating meat on Fridays during Lent; there is a continuum of adherence to the principles of religions that is found in Islam as it is in Christianity and Judaism. However, there are core elements that are universally accepted in each religion, commonly shared tenets of each faith that are ubiquitous to the faith.
In Christianity, one such tenet is the concept that Jesus is the Son of God. For Muslims, the principle of subjugating the rest of the world to Islam is equally ubiquitous, and it is this supremacist dictum that lies at the root of why violence follows Islam as night follows day.
What does this mean for the United States? The Obama administration is pledging to accept tens of thousands of "refugees" from Syria and Iraq. The United States has already accepted hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants from around the world, and to date, their assimilation into American society is proceeding at a snail's pace, if at all.
Warnings have been issued by European governments that terrorists (elements of ISIS and al-Qaeda) have inserted themselves into the stream of Muslim migrants currently invading Europe. This warning, while important, misses the larger issue entirely; that being the importation (enmasse) of an ideology bent on the destruction of the host nation. Islam doesn't arrive to "blend in." It arrives to take over.
By some estimates, the composition of the "refugee" arrivals is upwards of 70% males of military age. Clearly, war refugees flee their countries with both wives and children, while migrants traveling for economic opportunity typically send a father or son ahead to prepare the way for the rest of the family to follow.
There are certainly some war refugees amid the masses currently flooding Europe, but they are just as certainly a minority of the whole, and the likelihood that these Muslim men, coming from Muslim-dominated nations intend to culturally assimilate into the societies of Europe is statistically nil.
Over the coming months, America will be asked (then told!) to accept "our share" of "refugees." Incomprehensibly, these "refugees" will be almost entirely Muslim, despite the fact that it is the Christian and other non-Muslims of the region who are truly in danger, with tens of thousands already slaughtered and enslaved as a part of the Islamic subjugation.
It has been said that just because a group of Sunni Muslims is fleeing extermination from a group of Shia Muslims - or vice-versa - doesn't mean that either is innocent in the conflict. Should the pursued become more numerous than the pursuers, they will immediately turn and put their former tormenters to the sword. Both flee from each other, but neither is really a "refugee."
If you are a regular follower of the Global Faith Institute, then you understand "civilizational jihad," the process by which Muslims seek to overwhelm host nations through immigration and the exploitation of western values of religious tolerance and liberty.
We screen new arrivals at the border for diseases because we don't want to permit the importation of infections for which we have little or no natural immunity. In the case of Islam, we are indeed importing the infection itself, subsequently refusing to quarantine the carriers from the native population out of a misguided sense of tolerance.
Germany has committed to accepting millions of Islamic "refugees" over the next 10 years - 800,000 this year alone, followed by half-a-million more each year thereafter - in the hopes that the infusion of new laborers can offset the ridiculously anemic birth rate of native Germans. Combine migration at such extreme levels with a government so enamored of multiculturalism that they will prosecute their own citizens for speaking against the policy, and you have the stuff of an invasion.
Under what circumstances has any nation permitted an influx of a different culture at such extreme levels and remained sovereign? I'll give you a hint. it hasn't ever happened. Ever.
Unless Germany reverses course, they will become a Muslim nation within 15 years and native Germans will live under the rule of their new Muslim overlords, dhimmis in their own land.
Remember, someone asking for political asylum is not guaranteed to be deserving. Each of the perpetrators of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing were asylum seekers when they arrived on our shores. How'd that work out?
3>STANDING TO CHALLENGE THE IRAN DEAL - CONGRESS AND THE STATES

Many observers have assumed that despite the deep legal infirmities in the White House's Iran deal, there is no way to secure judicial review of it. In fact, there are at least two paths to invalidating any sanctions relief implemented by the president - a lawsuit by a House of Congress, or action involving state sanctions laws.
Congress's standing
Yesterday a D.C. Federal district court issued a landmark ruling in House of Representatives v. Burwell, upholding the House of Representatives standing to challenge Executive action under the Affordable Care Act. The question of institutional legislative standing is a fairly novel one, and thus this is an important decision.
Whether it survives on appeal, the decision creates a major and previously unanticipated opening for a congressional lawsuit challenging the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The constitutional argument would focus on the non-transmission of documents required under the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015 (the Corker-Cardin deal), which would seem to satisfy the standing test established by the district court.
Corker-Cardin makes clear that sanctions relief under preexisting statutory authority can only come after a positive vote, or no vote, or an overridden disapproval vote, during the "period of review." Since the period of review has not started, sanctions relief would be unlawful. Congress suffers an injury by the president's failure to begin "period of review." Thus Congress can take no binding action with regard to the JCPA. This undermines Congress's Article I ability to regulate foreign commerce, and indeed its ability to function as a legislature.
By not transmitting the relevant materials, the president is preventing Congress from exercising its legislative authority. That argument - whether ultimately successful or not - may state a sufficient injury under House of Representatives v. Burwell.
The President, of course, has broad, but not infinite discretion in the enforcement of federal law. Burwell found a related challenge to presidential enforcement action to be non-justiciable. But President Obama does not plan on merely not enforcing sanctions. Rather, he will purport to formally suspend them - a binding legal action. (One difference is that mere non-enforcement could be reversed by a subsequent president, who could enforce sanctions law against those who violated them even under Obama.)
Even if Congress proceeds to a vote, it will have no legal effect, because the "period of review" would not have started, and the statute only authorizes sanctions relief during or after the "period or review." Congress cannot rewrite the "period of review" definition in Corker-Cardin simply by staging a vote.
However, to best preserve its ability to take advantage of yesterday's standing ruling, Congress should insist on not voting on anything labelled a "resolution of disapproval." Indeed, Congress cannot competently act on a resolution of disapproval, both because such a resolution lacks any legal force until the period of review commences, and because they have been denied the relevant information necessary to fulfill their constitutional role.
When it seemed Congress had no judicial recourse, voting on a purported disapproval resolution may not have seemed as costly; now there is a real downside. If, however, Congress votes on a resolution of approval, or other resolution outside the Corker-Cardin framework, it will not affect their ability to invoke the latter.
State sanctions and standing
There is another avenue for standing to challenge the implementation of the Iran deal - indeed, dozens of avenues. Assume the President proceeds, purporting to have satisfied Corker-Cardin, to waive and suspend sanctions under preexisting authorities. But since Congress's vote was not within the "period of review," which had not started, the entire exercise will be with no legal effect. Corker-Cardin's freezing of the president's sanctions suspension authority will still be in effect. Indeed, it will be in effect indefinitely.
Many states have their own Iran sanctions' laws, and many are are moving to implement or strengthen such. Many of the state sanctions regimes provide that they terminate if federal sanctions are suspended. Such a state may well be sued by those subject to the state sanctions, arguing that the state sanctions are preempted by federal law, on the view that federal sanctions have been suspended or waived. The plaintiffs in such a case would certainly have standing. But as a defense to such a suit, the state could then argue that in fact the federal sanctions have not been waived or suspended, under the terms of Corker-Cardin.
Such an argument would be eminently justiciable, as standing generally applies to plaintiff's claims, not to defenses. It is not unheard for the legality of something to be non-justiciable in a direct challenge, but reviewable in an enforcement action. To put if differently, state law can't be preempted by an invalid federal action.
Indeed, a state Attorney General wishing to promptly challenge the President's actions can easily do so by finding a company to enforce state sanctions laws against. This would also allow the process to take place in state court.
Either an enforcement action by a state or an anticipatory suit by businesses against state sanctions would give the state the opportunity to raise the legal challenges about Corker-Cardin. And if a court indeed ruled in such a case that Corker-Cardin had not been complied with, that proposition of law would be true even outside the context of the state sanctions litigation.
In other words, the validity of any presidential sanctions against Iran will remain in doubt for quite a while. Any court ruling that Corker-Cardin was not complied with would potentially expose any companies that relied on sanctions "suspension" to enforcement actions under a subsequent president.
Finally, there may be still other routes to standing - for example, for people with claims against Iranian assets that will be released under the deal.
