The amount of complaints must have been so great that Inbal's General Manager himself,  Mr Rodney Sanders, took the time to answer by sending each person an email with the same answer.

 Here is his response, followed by Women in Green's comments:

 Dear Sir/Madam,

I am responding to your note of concern regarding reports of "Plo flags" displayed at our hotel during the last two days of May.

Let me say directly that I am very sensitive to the concerns of our guests, and that I, too, felt uncomfortable when asked, even by the Israeli government, to fly the colors of the Palestinian Authority at the hotel.

But that is exactly what happened. The Israel Minister of Public Security Avi Dicter chose the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel to be the venue for the International Security Forum, a conference on "Challenges to Homeland Security", of which MK Avi Dicter was the chairman. The conference was from May 28 to May 30.

US Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertkoff and a dozen other internal security ministers from Europe and beyond were invited and Minister Dicter also invited the Palestinian Minister of Interior.

We were instructed by the Israel Ministry of Public Security and the organizing committee to fly the flags of all those participating in the conference, including that of the Palestinian Authority.

While not meaning to add to anybody's distress, I think it important for me to mention that other prominent hotels are often asked by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs to host Israel-Palestinian negotiating sessions. Sometimes this also involves flags.

I can assure you that I, as the General Manager of the hotel had no intent of making a political statement and have no desire of doing so in the future.

I would like to apologize for placing the flag on the building. I have now since learnt how sensitive this issue is to the feelings of our nation and our people, but I believe I had no choice but to follow the request of the Ministry.

I look forward to welcoming you at the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel.

This is where you are wrong. You DID have a choice.You could easily have said "No" to Mr Dicter's request.

You could have said:

" I am sorry Mr Dichter. The Inbal Hotel has a policy of not flying the flag of Arab terrorists whose platform is: Murder Jews and destroy the State of Israel. In fact, we here at the Inbal Hotel would like to understand how you Mr. Dichter invite  the Palestinian Authority at a conference which title is : "Challenges to Homeland Security" when our homeland security is exactly  being challenged by those PLO terrorists!

We at the Inbal Hotel are loyal to the people of Israel and to the Land of Israel. We refuse to insult and hurt the feelings of thousands of victims of Arab terror in Israel and abroad and hence the Inbal refuses not only to fly the PLO flag but we refuse to host your conference."

You could have said all that. But you didn't.

Sadly you chose to "obey the orders".

The time has come for all Jews to understand that no orders are holy. The fact that a Prime Minister or a minister or a policeman  or a IDF officer gives us an order, does not mean that we immediately must obey. We must think twice before executing the order and ask ourselves: is this an order that I, as a Jew, loyal to my People and my Land, should carry out.

we assume Mr Sanders that if some extreme leftist minister would have asked you to serve pork in your hotel, you would have refused. So why did you not refuse to fly the PLO flag?

People who blindly follow orders are punished by the people for their disloyalty.That is what is happening now at the Inbal where so many people have cancelled their stay.

Let this be a lesson to all the minor officials everywhere in the country, in the government, in the army, in business....: the sentence "I believe I had no choice" is a sentence that must be erased from our vocabulary.

To:  The State of Israel

Whereas the signing of the Olso accords and subsequent agreements between the State of Israel and the murderous "Palestinian Authority" have severely weakened Israel's security.

Whereas closing the Temple Mount to Jewish prayer and severely limiting Jewish visitation has strengthened the morale of the Arab enemy and has weakened the morale of the Jewish Nation.

Whereas the expulsion of Jews from their homes has led to a deterioration of Jewish morale and security and has greatly empowered the Arab enemy.

Whereas the continuous flow of fuel and electricity to the Gaza strip has helped to facilitate the launching of over 8,000 rockets against the Jewish communities of southern Israel.

Whereas the State of Israel has allowed the Arab enemy to fire its rockets with almost complete impunity.

Whereas the presence of the Arab population in the Land of Israel presents a danger to the very existence of the Jewish State.

Therefore let it be resolved that we the former volunteers of the Israeli Defense Forces:

Call for the annulment of Oslo and all other agreements between the State of Israel and murderous "Palestinian Authority".

Call for free access and prayer rights for Jews who wish to ascend to the Temple Mount.

Call for the immediate cancellation of all planned expulsions including the town of Migron.

Call for the restoration and rebuilding of Gush Katif and the towns of Northern Sameria, which were destroyed during the expulsion of its Jewish populace in 2005.

Call for the immediate cessation of all fuel and electricity to the Arab enemy population of Gaza.

Call for the immediate bombing of Gaza and the destruction of its infrastructure.

Call for peaceful transfer of the Arab population from the historic Land of Israel.

Forty-nine former volunteers of the Israeli Defense Force have singed an unprecedented resolution calling for the annulment of all agreements with the PA, the opening the Temple Mount for Jewish Prayer, cancellation of all planned expulsions, peaceful transfer of the Arab population from the Land of Israel and more. In addition one Jewish solider from the United States Navy also requested to sign in solidarity with his Jewish brothers and we accepted his request.

 

There were many more Israeli born soldiers of the IDF who requested to sign as well, but we turned down their requests to keep true to the title of the resolution. In addition many other former volunteers also contacted us privately and informed that they would not sign the resolution for fear of persecution by the Israeli government. Many battalions of the IDF are represented on the resolution including, 13,18,50,51,92,97,162,408, 631, 669, 931, 934, 976, Medical Corps and the Military Chief Rabbinate. It is our hope that the Israeli government will not try to oppress free speech by attempting to persecute the brave young men who singed this resolution.

 

We would also like to request that any group in Eretz Yisrael or in Galut that identifies with the goals of the resolution join us by sending statements of support to the media and the Israeli government in regard to this resolution.

Izzy Kaplan responds: Dear List Please see copy of letter sent to the manager of the Inbal Hotel.   I just received a call on my cell phone from Mr. Sanders who out of courtesy (perhaps necessity) called me to explain the progression of events that led up to the erecting of the PLO flag with all the many other friendly and democratic countries. Avi Dichter of Homeland Security in Israel invited many countries to attend this seminar at the Inbal Hotel and requested that the PLO flag be included.   The Hotel had reservations but when they questioned the Minister regarding having the PLO flag, according to Mr. Sanders, the Hotel was not left with a choice since after all the seminar is about security.  The wisdom of the hotel or the minister is not to be questioned according to Mr. Sanders since the hotel is open to all nations and all peoples be they white, black, orthodox, conservative, reform, gay, lesbian, etc.   Without inhibitions, I let him have it between the eyes and without apology.   What I tried to impart to him is that the PLO is not included in your list of human beings.   The PLO are murderers.  Had the PLO been responsible for killing you wife and children and the husbands and wives of 20 of your hotel staff, chances are that the flag would not be waving in front of your hotel.   I continued to explain to him that what I expect from segments of the economic society in Israel is to be able to stand up under the pressures of a government who have totally lost their way and who continue to provide humanitarian aid to the head of the PA as they continue to kill my families in Israel and are proud of it.   I said much more which made Mr. Sanders extremely agitated to the point where he could no longer hold himself back and as all CEO's and heads of organizations say.   I called you to explain our position and not to get into a political discussion out of respect and it appears that you are taking this to another level.    I cut him off and quietly said that the govt. and the left in Israel continue to express in the press that leaving Gaza has nothing at all to do with the rockets raining down on Sderot, Ashkelon and Southern Gaza.   So Mr. Sanders what you are saying to me that the PA flag on our front lawn next to the Israeli flag obviously has nothing to do with dead Jews.   I ended the conversation by wishing him well and saying goodbye. I am not paranoid but just maybe just maybe the shabak was listening to how he handled this call.    It is quite regrettable that we are in this very low place today where our fellow Jews have become used to everyday terror and cannot discern between right and wrong.   It is as well quite well established that in perhaps too many circles in Israel today that one becomes sensitive about his brothers orphaned children only when he becomes an orphan himself. I think that I should start with the definition of "speaking with a forked tongue," according to Cambridge International Dictionary of Idioms, Cambridge University Press 1998:  "to make false promises or to speak in a way which is not honest."

This definition fits Barack Obama to a "T".

On Wednesday, June 4, Obama pledged to a meeting of the powerful Washington lobby American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) his "unshakeable commitment to Israel's security" if he is elected president.  "Israel's security is sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable… any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized, and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided," Obama declared to enthusiastic applause from the 7000-plus attendees at the AIPAC policy conference.

Already on the very next day, Thursday, June 5, Obama completely changed his tune because of Arab opposition to his declaration of support for a united Jerusalem.

Without shame, Obama then hides behind his so-called "campaign advisors" to "clarify" his real thoughts:

"Jerusalem might also serve as the capital of a Palestinian state, or there might be Palestinian sovereignty over Arab neighborhoods…Well, obviously it's going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues. And Jerusalem will be a part of those negotiations… As a practical matter, it would be very difficult to execute [a policy of the capital remaining undivided.]"

In other words, Obama's speech to AIPAC is a prime example of his great skill in speaking with a forked tongue!

Barack Hussein Muhammad Obama is certainly not a friend of the Jews or Israel. G-d forbid that Obama's skill at speaking with a forked tongue should propel him into the presidency of Israel's long time ally and friend, the United States.

If you are a lover of Israel, please do not be tempted to let Barack Obama's charismatic speeches influence you. It is important that you listen carefully to what he says today! Then listen even more carefully to what he says tomorrow on the same subject! Most importantly, pay careful attention to what he says just before you pull the lever in November.
