SOLIDARITY WITH OUR SISTERS IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL: Crown Hts. Women for the Safety & Integrity of Israel by Tamar Adelstein

Chai Elul 5780/September 7, 2020

Dear Friends,

On September 3, 2020 Crown Hts. Women for the Safety & Integrity of Israel organized a special event In Solidarity with our Jewish Sisters in Southern Israel.

Below we present to you a brief write-up of the program and links for you to listen to our guest speakers, Tzivia Pizem and Anita Tucker who live there.

K'siva V'Chasima Tova,
Tamar Adelstein, coordinator

With one sigh of feeling for another person's pain,
even the most impenetrable barrier can be broken through.
(from the sayings of the Baal Shem Tov)

PART ONE
As we listened to the sounds of sunny accolades reverberating throughout the Middle East and beyond over the new normalization of relations between the State of Israel and the UAE, we found ourselves sighing and then spilling tears of indignation that nary a glance had been cast at the unnatural "normal" clouding the lives of our Jewish sisters in Southern Israel, day in and day out.
Heeding the Lubavitcher Rebbe's call to protest, protest, protest when Jewish lives are in danger, we organized an event in solidarity on September 3rd for our Jewish sisters who have been living under fire since August 8th when Hamas renewed balloon bombing the area.

Good friends who live there, Anita Tucker and Tzivia Pizem, shared their stories with us via zoom.  In addition to reciting Tehillim, we also studied selections from the Rebbe's many talks about bringing true peace and security to Israel.
What a contrast!  Instead of wasting time writing thousands of pages in one foolish peace plan after another, the Rebbe provides a clear cut, common-sense and Jewish path to peace in roughly ten lines or less.  Repeating them throughout the decades of his leadership, the Rebbe's words remain as relevant today as when he first voiced them as is his prophesy that:  In the end, they will have no choice but to follow Jewish Law.

In the meantime, the eerily calm voice of the Tzeva Adom, the Red Alert, rings all too often.  Depending on where one may be at the time, a person has from zero to 15 seconds to find a shelter before the enemy's pink and blue balloons burst into deadly flames.

Although miracles do occur almost every time the balloons explode and few are bodily hurt, long-lasting damage, overt and subtle, reaps havoc on the minds and hearts of those who live in within missile range.

Homes, buildings and equipment hit directly or ruined by flying shrapnel and crops burnt to the ground constitute major financial loss.  Victims seeking material and monetary relief find themselves victimized a second time when Israeli bureaucracy makes applying for assistance a long and frustrating undertaking.
Israeli politicians who permit and enable the flow of goods and services into Gaza for so-called "humanitarian" reasons when our Jewish sisters and their families are under attack is immoral and a dereliction of duty by the Israeli government which is mandated to protect its citizens in time of war and terror.

By refusing to take real measures that would remove Hamas and the Palestinian Authority from power or measures that would restore law and order to YESHA, the State of Israel knowingly endangers Jewish lives in and around these areas.
We were appalled at the comments Brigadier General Nimrod Aloni made at Kibbutz Be'eri following the lop-sided cease-fire agreement that was brokered last week.  It's bad enough that the terms reward Hamas who, as usual, instigated the conflict but when the IDF's top brass admit "the agreement is only meant to last 2 months, more or less" and pathetically hopes that "economic cooperation and Qatari money will postpone the next round of fighting" it's time to shift the script as we keep saying.

Are you aware, dear reader, that there is no effective shelter in S'derot's women's mikvahs?  A woman in the midst of her preparations or in the middle of immersing has no way of reaching safety, even with 15 seconds, once the Red Alert sounds.

Let us be blunt – must she be left with no choice but to run naked in order to protect herself?!  This is absolutely unacceptable, but don't think the Israeli Government is going to proffer funds anytime soon to properly secure the seven mikvahs in S'derot or anywhere else for that matter.

We appeal to you to contribute to Chabad of S'derot's campaign to construct a brand new mikvah built to bomb shelter specifications.

We also ask that you to join us on insisting the State of Israel - which was established after the Holocaust to be a safe haven for the Jewish People, fulfill its mandate to protect every Jew who lives there.  No Jewish woman should ever feel pressured by fear to give up the mitzvah of Taharas HaMishpacha or be a nervous wreck trying to keep it!

PART TWO
Anita Tucker, one of Gush Katif's first pioneers reminisced with us about the wonderful life she and her husband and family merited for over thirty years living in Netzer Hazani, the name of their community in Gaza.

Employing drip irrigation methods to farm their sandy land, the Tuckers saw much success growing delicious fruits and vegetables and beautiful flowers.

Anita recalled that before Land for Peace, she and her Arab neighbors got along very well and helped one another.  After the Expulsion most of these same peace-loving Arabs were helpless to prevent the PA and Hamas from confiscating their land.  Later many of them were branded collaborators, tortured and then executed by the architects of Oslo's "peace" partners.

An upbeat person, Anita has not yet lost hope that one day she will be able to go back home.  In the meantime, though, it bothers her that everywhere else parents and grandparents can take their children on heritage tours to places like Poland, Russia and even Spain to show them their roots, yet when it comes to Gaza, in the independent State of Israel, that is an impossibility.

You can listen to Anita's talk on the link below.

PART THREE

Although saddened by the stories we heard, our spirits were soon restored when an excerpt from the Rebbe's talks we read through about the conquest of Yericho came to life the very next day!
Yericho, the Rebbe explains, was the lock and key to entering the land.  Its conquest by Yehoshua sealed the eternal deed to and everlasting bond that G-d made with Avraham, our forefather, for the Jewish People to take possession of the Land of Israel – as Jewish Law rules:  the point of transfer of property is when the purchaser has the key in hand.
With the key in hand, the land would no longer be known as the land of Canaan but rather forever called the Land of Israel the Holy Land – which, the Rebbe notes, Gentiles too acknowledge.

Now, dear readers, as much as a sigh can break through barriers, how much more so will simcha or joy that comes up from cleaving to words of Torah and Tefilla said the Baal Shem Tov.  Like a master key, with one twist, simcha can open any lock barring the way.

Such was the case when the very next day, on Erev Shabbos, Josh Wander, a journalist for Israel 365, and a small group including MK Yehuda Glick rode into Yericho to blow shofar in the ancient Shalom Al Yisrael synagogue situated there.

Accompanied by a convoy of the IDF, Wander said that for some reason the visit was not, as usual, coordinated with the PA and, yet when they arrived, they encountered no opposition or trouble!

Open the link below to read and watch more about this truly historic simcha in Yericho. https://www.israel365news.com/157893/joshua-captures-jericho-after-blowing-shofar-watch/

אל המקום אשר...

UAE also known as the Abrahamic Accords can't work as stipulated. It's a "utopian" vision of peace and prosperity but with a 2 State Solution vision in the agreement it is a recipe for disaster waiting to happen.  I can envision many scenarios that are not exactly peace loving coming from Hamas and Fatah aligning with Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, Turkey, and Qatar.

Here are some facts on the ground in Yehuda and Shomron partly because this false narrative of self determination of the Palestinian people brings false hope and leads to terror:

In Judea and Samaria
  • The roads are not safe.  There are numerous stonings, molotov cocktails, car rammings, property damage and acts of terror where miraculously no one is hurt except for when they are, and the perpetrators are released  or the case is dismissed by COGAT, the Civilian Police Governing the Territories, even if the perpetrators are caught by the IDF.  There is no deterrence to stop the cycle of violence. Honenu is keeping track.
  • People's lives and property are not being protected. The Jewish Division of Terror is looking to find Jews whom they can scapegoat as "Jewish Terrorists".  Settlers in Judea and Samaria have to be very careful, especially Youth, if they defend their own lives or property or protest peacefully and are provoked, less they are framed as a Jewish Terrorist.  It's been 5 years and Amiram ben Uliel is still in jail after being tortured and found guilty of the Duma arson and the only evidence they have is his own self confession following torture.  Many Hilltop youth were rounded up, interrogated, tortured and threatened. No apologies from PM Netanyahu, President Rivlin, DM Yaalon, MK Bennett and many others who rushed to condemn them, for political gain.
  • There has been an unofficial building freeze in Judea and Samaria.
  • There is tremendous amount of illegal unchecked Arab Building in Judea and Samaria and other parts of Israel, creating illegal facts on the ground, who are being defended in the courts by enemies of Israel
  • etc etc...
This is taxation without representation.  Many Settlers in Judea and Samaria have been or are in combat units defending the State of Israel, risking their lives, yet their own homes are not being defended.  They pay their taxes yet they don't receive the same benefits as the rest of the country. (See link below)

Many Arabs are literally getting away with murder, their terrorist families glorify these acts of terror and receive monetary compensation, pay to slay.  Arab communities receive all kind of  services from Israel in spite of their continued uncensored hate education against the State of Israel.  The Palestinians are not vetted to see who has allegiance to Israel and who doesn't.  Do we really want those hostile neighbors living on the high ground.   Do we really want to offer them all kinds of promises and rewards for fake promises of peace?

Surely Trump who wants to keep illegal criminal immigration out of the USA, and a strong wall, the candidate of law and order,  would be the first to understand the concerns of the Settlers of Judea and Samaria.

If this Deal is finalized with the proposed delineated borders of the vision of the orchestrators of the Deal of the Century,  which basically nullifies the Biblical delineated boundaries in Parshat Masei, the G-d Given boundaries, not even mentioning the Abrahamic Accord in Genesis known as the Brit bein HaBesarim, whose boundaries go to the Euphrates,  many settlements will be unprotected, isolated surrounded by hostile Arabs. A recipe for disaster.  While there is no expulsion of Jews planned, realistically, how will these Jews defend their lives and property?

It is deceitful to the Arabs, to suggest a vision that we don't really want.  They know it and we know it.

Thinking Out of the Box.....

Therefore, Israel who has not done such a terrific job in protecting these communities in Judea and Samaria and actually expelled 22 beautiful Jewish communities in the the Gaza Strip in 2005 Tisha B'Av, creating  National Trauma,  and  made it impossible for Jews to defend themselves and stay on their Land, should finally now be open to the idea of a sister Judean autonomy in Judea and Samaria.

If Jared Kushner and his team is so generous to the Palestinians and the UAE who have and continue to incorporate hate (also via UNRWA schools funded by UAE...see link below David Bedein) and  "from the River to the Sea" education into their children's education,  surely they can offer a generous proposal to the Jews of Judea and Samaria, the rightful inheritors of the Land,  who are peace loving, and who love the State of Israel and who love the Land of Israel and Love the Torah and are amazing Organic farmers to boot! This is the only solution that can give the people of Israel a security advantage over their hostile neighbors.

Let the Dust of the Earth, those who hold on to their land with their very fingertips,  have the right to defend their communities, to fight back if they are attacked and to govern according to Hebraic Law rather than a hodgepodge of Turkish and British Law. The 13 colonies fought back by forming their own militias.

The Government of Israel is afraid of a theocratic dictatorship like in Iran. There is a good reason for such fear.

However, Jews all over the world pray 3 times a day for a theocracy and for the Return of the Kingdom of G-d, the Return of the Kingdom of the House of David and for the Rebuilding of the Temple.

A Jewish theocracy is not in any form equivalent to the despotic totalitarian State of Iran. Iran wishes to have nuclear weapons to threaten and to conquer the world...

A Jewish theocracy is not interested in confiscating property of neighboring States and beheading the men while taking the women as their sex slaves as did ISIS.

Jews have the Utopian vision of a World of G-dliness, where peace and prosperity reign. Where all Nations practice and keep the 7 Noahide Laws.  It is this Messianic  dream that we all eventually want to actualize.

However, we can't achieve lofty goals if we miss a few steps and crash on our faces with a misguided approach.

So here is a wonderful opportunity to establish a prototype state based on Hebraic Law and test it out.  This visionary Judean autonomy, unlike the actual Palestinian autonomy loves Israel and considers the people of the existing State of Israel literally as members of the family.

This proposal suggests that a judiciary consistent with Hebraic Law rather than progressive leftist rule of law, the existing law of the State of Israel under the unfair jurisdiction of the Israel Supreme court known as Bagatz, would govern these territories.

Defense of such autonomy is in the best interest of the people of Israel whether living in Judea and Samaria or in the pre 67 borders. It is also in the best interest of the Arabs in the region since it coincides with a G-dly vision of the territory.

Surely President Trump personally would get it.  However, we must brace for a backlash.   Initially it will be met with much opposition.  Moderate Arab States  need Israel and the USA to protect them from a nuclear Iran and from the Muslim Brotherhood and the likes of ISIS.  There is no reason why economic coexistence can't continue without the misguided approach of establishing a Palestinian State as such agreement will not benefit the Arab, nor Jews and will serve only to confuse and bring false hope.

Trump says Promises Made Promises Kept and he's done an absolutely amazing job...but his administration is veering off course by not being consistent with the G-dly Vision and the Promise of an Almighty G-d.

Listen to Pastor Victor Styrsky

Starting 7:45 minutes into the video...

"Today's Christian Zionists stand with the Jewish Nation of Israel because of the Bible. We believe that The G-d of The Bible was the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The G-d of Israel Who Is G-d Alone.

We believe He is a promise making G-d. He is a G-d of Covenant. And Thank G-d He's not just a promise making G-d, He's a promise keeping G-d and because part of the numerous promises He's made that He's spoken about,  as being forever promises, eternal promises, to the Jewish People, one of them has to do with this little sliver of Land called Israel.

So as Christian Zionists of today, Bible believing Zionists, we do not believe the Jews are illegal occupiers of the Land of Israel, we believe they are the rightful inheritors because the G-d of the Bible is a Promise Making and Promise Keeping G-d."

An Historic New Beginning as Sovereignty is on Hold

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu trusts US President Donald Trump not to endanger Israel's security, White House Special Adviser Jared Kushner said on Monday, aboard the first-ever direct El Al flight from Israel to the United Arab Emirates.

As for the first Israeli flight over Saudi Arabia, Kushner said the Saudis are "very gracious," and that the flight is "a manifestation of what is possible in the Middle East."

Americans For A Safe Israel is pleased to see the beginnings of what we trust will be a lasting and productive peace with the United Arab Emirates. Today's historic first direct commercial flight from Israel to the UAE gets this initiative off to a good start. There are many things can be said about Israel's new partnership with the UAE and potentially with what are rumored to be more peace deals in the works with other Arab states. Israel's strength in the Arab world could possibly be used to place the Palestinian Authority into a corner, leaving them no choice but to recognize Israel's right to exist. AFSI is will be watching closely on these developments.

We've been longing to see a real and permanent peace for Israel. The UAE agreement gives us a glimmer of hope into what a future peace can look like with other Arab states.

However, remember that Israel's right to apply Sovereignty was sacrificed for this peace deal as required by the UAE in order for the agreement to be approved. Of course, we hope that Israel will apply Sovereignty at the first opportunity. When that will be is an unknown.

So, before you rush to take your next vacation in Abu Dhabi or were thinking of attending the Expo 2020 in Dubai (postponed to October 1, 2021) stay connected with AFSI. As soon as all of us are able to safely visit and travel throughout Israel again, we'd love to have you join us on our Chizuk Mission to Israel. A visit to the UAE can wait.

Shabbat Night Sees Jews Forced From Homes While Arabs Rejoice

The new Jewish community in Binyamin, Ma'ale Shai was evacuated for the third time, and on Shabbat night. The community is in memory of Rabbi Shai Ohayon, z'l, who was murdered in Petah Tikva last week,

Residents said they begged not to be forced to travel on Shabbat, but to no avail.

The Jewish families were evacuated from the site along with about twenty supporters who came to spend Shabbat with them. The residents reported extreme violence on the part of IDF and Border Police soldiers during the evacuation, which included using pepper spray against them.

After the evacuation, local Arabs posted joyous videos from Ma'ale Shai on social media, with singing and clapping over the bonfires that burned down equipment belonging to Jewish homes.

This scene is all too familiar. It reminds us of the awful days back in 2005, still fresh in our memory, of the expulsion of the Jews of Gush Katif from their rightful homes. This would not have happened had Sovereignty been applied properly.

Hebron Massacre 1929 - From Destruction to Rebirth

Hebron spokesman and dear friend of AFSI, Noam Arnon talks about the horrors of the 1929 massacre (TARPAT) which effectively ended thousands of years of Jewish life in Hebron - at the very cemetery which was also the scene of rebirth of Jewish life in the ancient city of Abraham.
I Also Support Israeli Sovereignty
in Judea and Samaria!

Israel is currently facing a strong wave of worldwide delegitimization over its plan to apply Sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria.

At the heart of this delegitimization lies a false narrative that Judea and Samaria are "occupied territory," when in fact Israel has undeniable historical, moral, and legal rights to the land.

Sign the petition in support of Israeli Sovereignty (we're 99% there so every signature is really meaningful now) and your name will be added to the message that will be sent to Prime Minister Netanyahu.
