PRESS RELEASE WHILE AMERICA HAS WATCHED, THE INFLUENCE OF THE IDEOLOGY OF ISLAM HAS GONE FROM THE COCKPIT OF PLANES TO THE COLLEGE CAMPUSES OF AMERICA AND THE HALLS OF CONGRESS. WHAT'S NEXT TO FALL? 9/11 ANNIVERSARY WEEK ACT OF ANTISEMITISM ON CAMPUS AT UT-KNOXVILLE BRINGS RESPONSE FROM LEADING ISRAEL WATCHDOG FOR FULL INVESTIGATION NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (9/16/2019) Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, a frontline organization in the fight against antisemitism has today put the University of Tennessee-Knoxville on notice that "a call is being made demanding a full and complete investigation of ongoing antisemitic activities on campus" noted a press statement from PJTN Founder and President, Laurie Cardoza-Moore. The statement directed to UT-Knoxville Chancellor Donde Plowman went on to say: "That the University of Tennessee Knoxville would harbor young people with the level of hatred to have perpetrated last week's horrific public display of antisemitism on campus is an outrage to Christians, Jews and people of conscience in the State of Tennessee and across the nation. With words spray painted on the famous UT-K "Rock" at the center of the campus "Jews Did 9/11" and the reference to a Google site that proposes an Israeli plot to bring down the Twin Towers and subsequently frame Islamic terrorists for the tragedy, leadership at UT-Knoxville must realize you are risking the potential of proactive danger on campus towards Jewish students. Were it an isolated incident prank or vandalism, it would be unconscionable to have taken place at any time on an American college campus, much less in the shadow of the anniversary of 9/11. Unfortunately, UT-Knoxville is a multiple repeat offender of virulently antisemitic outbreaks that have reached national attention. By virtue of the ongoing nature of such incidents of Jew hatred, the shadow of lax inefficiency and complacency is cast on the Administration. The activities of students on campus responsible for such acts have for too long gone inadequately investigated and the perpetrators left unidentified and unpunished. PJTN is therefore: - Publicly calling on UT-Knoxville to launch a complete and full investigation of this latest incident and identify and punish those responsible.
- Calling for a public release of the surveillance video that is available to the university's security force.
As both a concerned American, and someone who has devoted my life's energy to the battle against antisemitism, I am demanding UT Knoxville address this issue with the seriousness it deserves. I have no doubt a faction of students on campus have been influenced by and are operating on a model ripped from the pages of the age old hatred presented in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a favored guidebook of Adolf Hitler. As the rise of antisemitism has again escalated globally over this decade, so has the popularity of this despicable volume of Jew hatred—unfortunately reaching the minds of a new generation of impressionable young people. We have raised a generation of American children post 9/11 who, through revisionist curricula being used in classrooms, have no idea why the buildings fell, what origin of hatred piloted the planes, and who, in the aftermath can be blamed. In the era of Ilhan Omar and "some people did something" we are losing our next generation of American leadership to an education system that fails to educate on American history and values, but is capable and willing to foster a new generation of hatred for Israel and the Jews. That college level students on the UT campus would implicate the Jewish people as the cause of 9/11 is both ignorant and reprehensible in the level of hatred displayed—but tragically, it is not surprising.
