Ascending Har HaBayit in memory of Hallel-Yaffa Ariel hy'd ob"m

bs"d

In the popular book Garden of Emuna, Rav Shalom Arush, (translated by Rabbi Lazer Brody) writes that there is " no Tribulation without Transgression".

But our hearts cry out.  "What transgression is commensurate with this particular heart wrenching Tribulation?

Her mother Rina in her euology at Hallel's funeral that Hallel"s only fault was that she was almost perfect.

Through introspection the Ariel family strongly feels that Hallel's heart that was so tragically stabbed by a vicious intruder who violated their holy abode in Kiryat Arba is symbolic of intruders now violating Hashem's Abode on Temple Mount.  They have taken it upon themselves to correct this Chillul Hashem, this desecration of Hashem's H-ly Name by inviting others to ascend Har HaBayit in a demonstration of asserting Israel's claim to this H-ly Mountain the site of our H-ly Temple. .

In the YouTube video, Amihai Ariel also asked that the Mughrabi Gate, the only gate through which non-Muslims are allowed to ascend to the Temple Mount, now be called the Hallel Gate, in memory of his daughter. Hallel, a popular name in Israel, means "praise" and is the collective name for the psalms that were sung in the Temple service.

Rina Ariel "Our heart of our daughter was stabbed. It has something to do with the heart of the nation.  This is the heart of the Nation. It's a long story. It's not easy.. but help us...talk about it...think about to build the Beit HaMikdash...This is what we need....

Israel Puts Palestinians on Defensive Over 'Martyrs' Fund'

[My comments:  The money withheld from the PA should go directly to the victims and/or family members of the victims of these terror attacks. Money will not be awarded to the families of the terrorists but rather the families of the victims. This is only fair and just.  In addition, any individual that wishes to match these amounts as a charitable contribution to the victims and/or the families of the victims of terror, should be encouraged to do so, and it should be legit tax deduction approved by the IRS  and in Israel by Mas Hachnasa,  Israeli tax authorities.]

Message from a Resident of Otniel,

bs"d

Message from a resident of Otniel.
Translated by Chana Idels of Kiryat Arba:
(For Original in Hebrew see below. )

No!
We can't go on.
We can't continue to develop and to grow, and to build our community.
It's not our solution to terror.
It is not our answer to terrorists.
Our lives have been destroyed.
Do you understand?

No, you don't understand the meaning of 23 orphans within 5 months. You don't understand what it is to drop everything to go to the funeral of a neighbor.  You don't understand what it's like to get used to death. And yes, we have gotten used to it.  At first we felt it, we were shocked. But now we are stunned.

What to answer a grandchild, that his remaining grandfather was killed in a shooting attack - just like the first one.
It's not 42 residential units. Neither is it 43.
Our lives cannot go on like this anymore.
We won't show you how heroic we are, because we are not.
We won't continue to get up to go to work.
We will no longer go shopping.

Because our lives have been halted. They will continue only when we know that there is somewhere to go.  Because right now, our lives are traveling on the road, waiting for a car to cut in front of us and fire at us, or waiting for a Molotov cocktail to hit us.
Our lives are sitting in the evening at home, seeing the pipsqueak with the knife coming at them.
And this is not living.
So you tell me that that's what they want? To see us broken?
So let them see!
We are not a showcase for our government which is not doing enough.  Let them see us fractured.
I know that that's not what they want. They want to not see us.  Broken or heroes – they want us out of here. So no matter how heroic we are, that won't make a difference.
So to you, who are telling us to continue to develop and to grow, and to build our community, we say NO.
Until you make it possible for us.

I will not go back to Otniel to another funeral. I went back to three. I've had enough.
I want to travel on the road securely.
I want to stop worrying about my family, neighbors and friends.
I want the terrorists to be afraid to strike at us. To really be afraid.
I want everyone to come to the realization that we simply can't anymore.

I want there to be a real shake-up, so that everyone will realize that this cannot continue. I want the government of the State to govern – forcefully!
I want us to do something, and even if that something doesn't help at least we'll that we know we tried. And our enemies, they will also know that we did something.
I want to go on strike from daily life until we will see that it's possible to return to normal living.
I want us not to be complacent, and not go back to routine life.
Because this routine is killing us  - again and again and again.

And even if our strike doesn't affect anyone, our own people, our countrymen or people worldwide, and cause big changes, at least it will help us not to keep the unbearable pain to ourselves.
It will help us to stop smiling fake smiles and say that we can, when actually we can not.

Chevron and Otniel - Kalev ben Yefuneh and Otniel ben Knaz those who merit to inherit the Land

bs"d

Kalev ben Yefuneh, the Leader from the Tribe of Judah, had this statement to the Israelites in the Desert.

Bamidbar - Numbers - Chapter 14
7 "The Land we passed through to scout is an exceedingly good land.

For this G-d rewards him and his descendants.
24 But as for My servant Caleb, since he was possessed by another spirit, and he followed Me, I will bring him to the land to which he came,
Rav Ariel at Rabbi Mikki Mark's funeral quoted from Sefer Devarim:
 Devarim Deuteronomy 26:15
15Look down from Your holy dwelling, from the heavens, and bless Your people Israel, and the ground which You have given to us, as You swore to our forefathers a land flowing with milk and honey.
