A personal tefillah of mine for Har Habayit

bs"d

 Dear List, amv"sh

Here is the perfect opportunity to make a direct connection to Har Habayit.  This is my own personal teffilah that I sent in.

Wishing you a Happy Chanukah.

Please go to http://www.tmpn.tk/ and send your personal tefillah!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A tefillah that all the impurities and Avodah Zara in my house be removed entirely and may we, myself, my husband and my children serve Hashem w/o the anti Torah negative influences of the Greeks and the Romans. May Hashem help us so that it is done in a manner that is not forced upon anyone but rather because of a desire and yearning to serve Hashem in holiness as symbolized by Chanukah.

Nadia Matar, Freeze decrees are declaration of war against Judea and Samaria,Senator Inhofe Let's review American History

bs"d

"Make no mistake about it.  This war is first and foremost a spiritual war.  It is not a political war. It has never been a political war. It is not about politics.  It is a spiritual war. It has its roots in spiritual conflict.  It is a war to be fought to destroy the very fabric of our society and the very things
for which we stand..."

Please read this unbelievable speech presented in Congress by Senator Jim Inhofe from Oklahoma on December 4, 2001.  In this historic speech he includes portions of the historic speech of Patrick Henry as he stood in the House of Burgess made a speech for them, made a speech for us today. In this address,  Senator Inhofe presents 7 reasons as per Israel's rights to the Land and why the Land belongs to Israel. This speech is a must have for every Jewish acivist and non activist that is hesitant to put a claim upon our land.

Because this is a spiritual War the rulings of Rabbanim are crucial.

If you can not make it to the AFSI demonstration today at 11:00 and even if you can, let's be activists for Judea and Samaria at our Chanukah gatherings this week.  Most friends and family members are clueless.  How can we enjoy our own Chanuka celebrations when our Jewish brothers and sisters, 350,000 strong, can not have their own Chanukat Habayit?  They can not expand.   Their communities are being strangled.

When we as a people will come out strong in support of the Rabbinic ruling forbidding soldiers to expel fellow Jews, the government of Israel  will be unable to impose their rule on us.

When we stand up for Tzvia Sariel and her individual struggle for Torah to be the law of the Land, we show that our prayers are relevant and not merely lip service.

As Nadia clearly says, peaceful demonstrations are not enough.   We need to prevent another expulsion!  Will we stand by for more expulsions and then offer after the fact expressions of "feeling the pain of our brethren" when it is too late and after the fact tehillim for the Matzav in Eretz Yisroel when are brethren are homeless?.

Nadia writes:

Dear friends, the freeze decrees not allowing any Jewish building in Israel's Biblical Heartland are a declaration of war against the Jews of Judea and Samaria. Let it be clear to all: the freeze decrees are the first step on the way to the elimination of all the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, and the expulsion of 350,000 Jews from their homeland, for the purpose of establishing in their stead a Palestinian state, that, as is well-known, will constitute a threat to the little pre-67'State of Israel.

Our opposition to the freeze decrees is therefore a struggle for the survival of the entire state.

We must set forth on a resolute and uncompromising struggle against these decrees. Protests are important, but not enough. There was a large demonstration on Wednesday. It is important to raise our voices against the decrees, but we should not invest all our energy in this. The lesson of Gush Katif is that quiet, organized, and orderly demonstrations will not decide the outcome and will not change decrees because Israel is no longer a democratic country. In a country in which the electorate votes right and nevertheless receives policies of the left, politicians are not influenced by old-fashioned  demonstrations; at least not here in Israel.

(In contrast, demonstrations in front of the Israeli consulates abroad are important, because they put pressure on Israel; see below, for details on the demonstration by Americans For a Safe Israel.)

Here in Israel, the government must receive a stiff message from the field, that we simply will not let this happen.

The blocking of the communities by tens of residents to the inspectors from the Civil Administration was a good start.

Now the struggle must intensify.

So that this time there will really be a struggle, and not a fake struggle as there was five years ago in Gush Katif, Moetzet Yesha (the Council of Jewish Settlements in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) cannot be allowed to head the camp.

Moetzet Yesha is limited. It is dependent on government budgets, and therefore it is capable of engaging only in protests, large but quiet demonstrations (like Wednesday's), and political pressure. All these tactics were used in Gush Katif but did not prevent the expulsion.

The true struggle must be waged by extraparliamentary bodies.

What is struggle?

Struggle today is to rebel against the immoral and anti-Jewish decrees, to proudly violate them, and to send a clear message to all: Never again! They will never again succeed in carrying out a destruction program. Jews will never again be expelled from their homeland.

In our humble opinion, the main struggle now must be conducted in two arenas:

1) Construction, construction, and more construction throughout Judea and Samaria. A few days ago our movement, Women in Green, issued a call to establish a fund for light construction for couples and families on the hilltops. In the coming days we will, with God's help, distribute a short video that will exemplify and explain this step. God willing, the lovers of Eretz Israel will mobilize for this project, and we will succeed in erecting houses throughout Judea and Samaria, especially outside the boundaries of the existing communities. We must pass on a clear message: we will not agree to be ghettoized or limited. The Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel and we will continue to settle, build and expand in it.

2) Expanding the phenomenon of soldiers who already today declare that they will not participate in the expulsion of Jews from their land and the handing over to the enemy of our land, our homeland. Women in Green gives its support to Rabbi Eliezer Melamed from har Bracha, who stated outright that if an order in the army conflicts with our loyalty to Eretz Israel - the order must be refused. We cannot leave the rabbis in the front lines. We, too, parents to soldiers, must send a clear message that we send our sons to the army to fight the Arab enemy, to defend the homeland and the people, and not, Heaven forbid, to expel Jews from their land. The greater the phenomenon of soldiers loyal to their people and their homeland who declare, already now, that they will not give a hand to the implementation of the policies of the extreme left, the faster the authorities will understand that they do not have the ability to realize their plan.

The more successful we will be in the two areas described above, the more it will put real pressure on the politicians and make it clear that unlike five years ago, when our camp was so well-behaved and docile during the expulsion of our brothers from Gush Katif and Northern Shomron, this time, we are determined to fight for the right of the Jewish People to their G-d given Biblical Homeland.

As Yair Stern wrote: we, the people, are in a "national war. The nation's war for its honor, its freedom, and its life." May it be His will that we receive inspiration from the heroic Maccabees, who did not fear and proved that the little Jewish people is capable of fighting and besting great empires. Like then, today as well, the struggle, unfortunately, is not only against the Greeks, but also against the Jewish Hellenizers who collaborated with the Greeks.

If we succeed in awakening and in understanding that the responsibility and obligation to join the struggle is incumbent on each and every one of us - then we will do and, with God's help, we will prevail.

A happy Hanukkah holiday and Shavua Tov,

Nadia Matar

JOIN THE PROTEST AGAINST ISRAEL'S CONSTRUCTION FREEZE

Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, from 11AM-12 noon, in front of the Israeli Consulate, 42nd Street and Second Avenue, NYC, people of conscience will gather to protest against the immoral, illegal, unconscionable construction freeze ordered by PM Bibi Netanyahu and approved by the Knesset.  It's purpose seems to be to appease the Arab enemy, which has already announced that the freeze is insufficient to meet its demands.

In violation of the right-wing Likud mandate to preserve the Land of Israel for the Jewish people, a draconian order has been issued to stop work on all construction in the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria for a period of ten months while Arab construction continues unabated.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak is implementing this order with the use of the IDF and Yassamnakim, a special forces unit, dressed in black, reminiscent of the Nazi SS.

Just as in the expulsion of the Jews from Gush Katif, no thought has been given to the emotional, economic, and physical hardships inflicted upon the 300,000 residents of Judea and Samaria, as well as all those involved in the construction industry.

We urge all those who care about the preservation of the Land of Israel to be present on the second day of Chanukah, Sunday, Dec. 13, to rally to the cry of Judah Maccabee, "All those who are faithful, follow me!!" Although this rally will be taking place in NYC, we urge people throughout the country to follow suit and organize demonstrations in their own communities.

Contact the AFSI office, 212-828-2424; 1-800-235-3658; afsi@rcn.com for additional information.

Pidyon Shvuyim activism for Tzvia Sariel, hit a nerve and overreaction by fellow congregants of Judge Lifschitz shul

bs"d

Dear List, amv"sh

As an Eretz Yisroel activist, I was very upset about further detainment in prison of a young women, Tzvia Sariel  by a religious Judge on the grounds that Tzvia did not want to identify herself to the Israeli court system. Because Tzvia did not play by the rules, Judge Lifschitz detained her in prison for this crime alone even though her identity was known to the courts based on her fingerprints even without her revealing her identity.

All other charges against her were proven false.

This  led me to write a letter in support of the a Beis Din that  summoned Judge Lifshitz to a Din Torah.   Judge Lifshitz ignored the summons.

Here are some of the letters I received in response.  Apparently I hit some nerve.  How dare I suggest that perhaps Judge Lifschitz was unjust with Tzvia Sariel by ruling to detain her in jail, which translates into a jail sentence for an unspecified crime, for her protest that suggests that the Israeli courts are not executing justice?

Is Tzvia endangering anyone with her little protest except the courts themselves who can not be objective to judging her accusations against them since they are Nogea Badavar?  Is she really a criminal endangering society  for voicing her protest in the only way she sees how and honestly does she therefore deserve to be locked up?

Is there any validity to her claims that the Israeli Courts are biased to the left and against the Nationalist Camp?  Rather than address her concerns, and a willingness for introspection and self review and examination, they choose to intimidate and squash any opposition to their mode of operation which serves to prove her point.  They show that they don't have to answer to anyone other than themselves.

My intent was not spam or to threaten anyone.  My email to shul members was not angry.  I presented the facts. My intent was to free a young girl from prison and give support to her claims that in fact the Israeli Court System has been criminally biased against settlers.  I was hoping that some members of the shul would put some pressure on Judge Lifschitz to recognize a Torah Court especially since my understanding was that she is Orthodox.

None of the letters I received from shul members addressed the points raised in my email.  If the members of the shul didn't want to help the Beis Din they  could have easily ignored the email rather than intimidate me with threats of a law suit and name calling.   They could have sent me back an email in support of the Judge without being so vindictive and on the attack.  No one wants to ostracize the Judge by putting her in Cherem but incarcerating a young women for political purposes in order not to have to reflect on the courts shortcomings is not something we can ignore.

The email you have sent me is spam of the worst kind. I do not know you, and you are using our synagogue list to circulate your messages. I have not requested at any time any email correspondence form you. I'm a physicist, not a lawyer, but I will ask the lawyers in our community whether they are willing to sue you for sending us this spam. As you know, after the law changed in 2007, we each have the right to sue you for 1000 NIS for each unsolicited email you send.

In any event, be sure to remove me from the list that you used to circulate your message immediately. If I should ever see any further email message from your list, I will take legal action.

Who has appointed you as a ruler and judge over us?

It is claptrap and Bolshevik demagoguery like yours which undermine the Jewish State more than anything else.

Your one-sided presentation of the Eretz Yisrael issues without recognizing other rabbinic opinions, or that perhaps these matters should not be decided by rabbis at all, is stupefying.

How dare you compare my daughter, who serves in the IDF and obeys the laws of the state, with a young woman who stands in contempt of court! How dare a beit din, with no responsibilities to the stability of the Jewish state and the democratically expressed wishes of the majority of its citizens, assert its authority over anyone, especially a judge who serves the institutions that preserve law and order! How can a group of rabbanim commit such a hillul ha-shem by pretending that an honest and faithful public servant needs to answer to them? How can supposedly God-fearing Jews be so blind as to confuse their political interests, however sincerely felt, with the authority of the shulkhan arukh?

> Therefore, it seems in this situation that the defendant has refused to appear for a Torah ruling.
> In light of the above, the laws written in the Shulchan Aruch regarding one who refuses to appear in court apply.
> It is incumbent upon the public to act with the refuser according to the aforementioned Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh Deah 334 entitled "How to act in respect to the banished and excommunicated, and for what reasons is one banished", subsections 2 and 43, and likewise in the Mishneh Torah of the Rambam, laws of Talmud Torah chapters 6 and 7.

> Decision on the matter of Tzvia Sariel
> And accompanying decisions regarding arranging court hearings
>
> Background:
> Tzvia Sariel, a symbol of faith and faithfulness to Torah and the Land, is again imprisoned.
>
> Tzvia Sariel was arrested a few times during her struggle for the settlement of the Land of Israel and prevention of its destruction.  She persists in this.  Tzvia does not recognize the authority of a court that ignores the laws of Torah.  In particular, after she experienced that the judicial system in Israel
>
> represents an agenda designed to remove Israel from its land, and that the courts do not protect from this agenda.
>
> Three weeks ago, Tzvia Sariel was arrested as she protected a 17 year old girl, resident of Ramat Migron, from the barbarous acts of the police and other security forces which evacuated the community.
>
> Tzvia Sariel and her friends were arrested due to false claims, for example that they refused to be identified, and were forced to get undressed by female police officers, under the claim that they might be carrying drugs or weapons, and therefore needed to undergo an embarrassing full body search, whose only reason is to abuse the detainees.
>
> A year ago, after an extended unwarranted detention which lasted three and a half months, Tzvia Sariel was released after it was revealed in court the blood libel cooked up against her by the authorities, by enlisting Arabs in order to incriminate her.  The Torah Court for Matters of Nation and State, headed by Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, on the 7th of Adar Bet 5768 (14th of March, 2008) ordered the prison authorities to bring the young woman before the Court.  The jailers indeed followed the court order and brought the young woman, under heavy guard, to the Court.
>
> The Court ordered her immediate release after it was proven, not just of her complete innocence, but her righteousness, purity of heart, and integrity.
>
> Usually, it is very difficult to prove the libels of the authorities, however in this case, after two days, in the court of Judge Nava Bechor, it was proven, against their will, of her complete innocence.  The young woman was released.
>
> Judge Bechor noted in her decision that the Mukhtar of the neighboring village of Alon Moreh admitted that he was urged by threats by Major Iyad Amar to enter Alon Moreh and to orchestrate an olive harvest when it wasn't time.  The 80-year old Mukhtar was loaded in to a vehicle of the Civil Administration together with other elderly individuals, and they were instructed to harass young girls inside Alon Moreh with a harvest display.  Tzvia Sariel and her friends forcefully informed the guests that they are not wanted, and then the people from the Civil Administration jumped upon them and arrested them.
>
> The officer has still not been put on trial, which shows that the man knew that his lies would gain backing of his superiors and the entire system.
>
> Unlike Judge Bechor, Judge Miriam Lifschitz, in front of whom Tzvia Sariel was brought for an extension of detention, ordered the continued detention of Sariel, and it is likely that she knew that the claims in the charges were lies.  The judge indeed allowed her to go free if Tzvia would give fingerprints, but before this, she also accepted the claims of a policeman that Tzvia's identity was not known.  Tzvia Sariel announced that she would not cooperate in the Judicial System's display of crimes and lies.
>
> To our dismay, this is indeed spoiled fruit of cooperation between the police and the Judicial System.  The police called Tzvia Sariel's mother on the day of her arrest and informed her of her daughter's incarceration, and thus the police admitted that they knew the young woman's identity.
>
> Tzvia Sariel's fingerprints were taken by force a long time ago, and the combination of these claims is only meant to degrade, humiliate and break the young woman's spirit.
>
> It pains us that Judge Miriam Lifschitz places herself and the honor of her position, retroactively, in the service of the police.  It will not thus be done in Israel, for one to abuse another, to embarrass a daughter of Israel, wherein all the honor of a daughter of the king is inside, to abandon her to the fist of wickedness.  Just like the brothers of Matityahu's daughter, her Jewish brothers are commanded to save her from distress and incarceration.
>
> Judge Lifschitz, who is a religious woman, profanes the name of Heaven, as she turns herself to a governmental arm acting purposefully against Jews due to their remaining faithful to the redemption of the nation and land.
>
> Therefore, Tzvia Sariel's stance, that she does not recognize the system for practical and Torah reasons together, is correct.  We see in Tzvia Sariel's behavior a good example for the masses.
>
> The Jewish Public is called to unite around Torah courts in every place in order to fulfill the basic command:
> Deuteronomy 17:18 – Judges and officers you shall place for yourselves in all of your gates that Hashem your G-d gives you.
>
> Deuteronomy 17:20 – Justice justice you shall pursue, so that you might live and inherit the land that Hashem your G-d gives you.
>
> As long as there is not proper justice in the Land, we will not be able to inherit it.  As it says:
>
> Isaiah 1:27 – Zion will be redeemed with justice, and its returnees in righteousness.
